My wife and I had initially intended to dine at a Mexican restaurant which we'd enjoyed in the past several doors down, however learned that they are closed on Sundays. We visited at approximately 3:30pm on an early December Sunday. There were about a half dozen tables occupied and we were seated at the booth of our choice within a minute. The servers were promptly and attentive. We were provided beverages and a bowl of tasty Wonton Crispies which were addictive! For my meal I selected the Szechuan Tofu with steamed rice and a bowl of Wonton Soup which were delicious but could only eat about half of my plated (thus shall enjoy it tomorrow whilst at work for lunch.) A person who was either the manager or owner came by to check on us and provided boxes (including for what remained of our second-floor serving of Wonton Crispies). We were given the check. Prices are reasonable and I'll gladly pay for quality, particularly for something which will traverse my innards. I recommend this highly if you are in the environs of Westminster, MD and fancy Chinese cuisine. Oh, they have what seems to be a full bar, however I didn't notice a buffet setup.

The seafood in the Happy Family was chewy and tough. The vegetables were soggy and overcooked. I suspect they were straight from a can. Very disappointing. My order was ready quickly. I guess that's a plus. And while I didn't eat in, I did pick up my order so I saw the dining room, and it looked nice. Maybe the food is better when you dine in.

Very elegant presentation for everything. The menus, the decor, the venue and high ceilings, the private rooms. Their menu had half to full page detailed photos and descriptions of almost every dish. And they had a large menu to accommodate to whatever you are craving. Their food was so good. Everything was seasoned just right to my liking. The spice levels for the sichuan pepper-centric dishes were the star but never overpowering or too spicy. And surprisingly, the pricing for each of the dishes were so low compared to the experience I was getting. Like I kept thinking how can this product be this good but this cheap? One of our fav restaurants now and we recommend anybody to pay Tea Horse a visit!

I didn't take any pictures of the food but we had the sesame balls, pork soup dumplings, peking duck, peking duck soup, fried rice, lo mein, cucumbers, green beans, beef and broccoli and a chicken dish. My aunt had ordered for us so I wasn't sure what she had ordered but everything was delicious. I finally met the owner, although I did not get her name. Our waiter was good and the food came quick since we were all hungry. Since it was my aunt's birthday, the owner gave her a gift which was so nice! My aunt enjoyed the tea cups and will put it to good use. I really love the jasmine tea and probably had a whole pot to myself. It was a cold day so hot tea was nice to start before we ate. I have been to Tea Horse many times and the food does not disappoint. I like the bar area and noticed the liquor selection was high end. I normally don't drink when I eat Chinese food but in case you want top shelf liquor, they have it.

The best part was the spring rolls and the donuts, those were like what I expected. The fried rice had very large pieces of vegetables (entire broccoli florets, piece of baby corn, carrot slices) and was not crispy, chewy, or anything that suggested it was fried except oily, and was the oblong oval kind of rice, some kind of short grain or sticky rice. So the texture was wrong to me. The flavor was underwhelming and did not use nearly enough soy sauce, salt, MSG, whatever. These things were pretty consistent across their other dishes as well, including lo mein and hunan chicken; veg pieces too big, flavor not there, sauce too thin and not dark enough. Parking was impossible for pickup; had to circle the block 5 times. The location was scary at 8:30PM, there was a homeless woman yelling at me from the sidewalk on the way in, just something to be aware of. However my order was ready on time and they were polite.
