I always go by the reviews, but this time I choose to give it a try only because I have a passion for nail art. I would see all the post of the very pretty designs. I read the reviews and they are unfortunately true. Starting with inconsistency in pricing. My tech had to go to the owner 2x over two different pictures I showed. First quote was for $140 & I declined because I know that's way overpriced. Then I asked my tech about a second pic and she got irritated because she had to go ask the owner again. This time $120. The second pic was of my own nails having been done somewhere else for $80 I was just going to do them with a different color. So once again I declined and continued with getting a set put on. I didn't speak through the rest of the service because of the attitude I received after asking for second quote. When it came time to pick what I wanted I chose one marble and one glitter gel nail on each hand. I didn't even want to ask for a price after how irritated the tech got the first two times. So once we're finished I take a look and my nails are paper thin. Don't get me wrong nobody wants chunky nails, but when you wear your nails the length I do there should be extra gel applied at what would be considered the arch. If not the nail will break easily. Then an illusion is created by drilling the rest of the tip so the nail still appears thin. Anyways I brought my concerns to the owner and she told me it was my fault that I should've told her tech how to do my nails. I was unaware that I need to teach her tech how to properly build a nail. I asked if they break within a day if she will back her work. Then she just got more angry because she didn't like being corrected. Repeating it was my fault. Then was a smartass telling me if the one nail broke she'll fix it. Here's the funny part then charges me $85 for what took more time and effort than the quote I got for $120. No consistency in pricing. The ignorance and attitude is 100% correct in the reviews. I will never return because the owner made it known they don't need my business anyways. So I do recommend Bars Nails in Frankfort, Bellavan in Frankfort, and Tips and Toes in Mokena. Those three salons will offer consistent pricing and respect. read more

I found this place on instagram, loved their work and decided to give the place a try. They were very nice but it took nearly 2 hours for them to finish my nails, the gems fell off within days and the acrylic is bumpy. I am very disappointed as i paid 115 for these, i'll consider giving them a second chance. read more

I got a dip powder manicure on my natural nails today as I always do. I politely asked Kelly why every time I am charged for nail take off when I get dip powder and Kelly stated it was due to the dip powder having to be removed with a cotton ball and aluminum foil, fine. I then asked why I am charged for long nails when, prior to the nails I have now, I've had longer nails and was charged the same price. Kelly stated very rudely that any length above the skin is considered long and if I don't like it I can take my money elsewhere. I've been getting my nails and toes done here for over a year now and I've never experienced Kelly to be so rude and disrespectful so I'll definitely be taking my money elsewhere read more

Not clean, lied about the powder for dip manicures being individual. They just poured the leftover powder back in the jar. The file wasn't a good quality because I left with scratches in my nails. I think it was this technician's first time because his coworkers kept checking in on him. Not a good experience. Edit: As soon as I walked in, I asked and was told that the powder was single use. As soon as he tried to dip my finger into the jar, I knew they were lying about it being individual. They quickly corrected and put the powder is an individual dish but after I was done, they put the powder back in the larger jar. What's the point lol? Had he not already applied the tips, I would've walked out. The quality of my manicure was not good because I walked out with hundreds of scratches in my nails and none of the tools were disinfected. read more

Horrible business! DO NOT PATRONIZE Horrible business this salon likes to make up prices after you've concluded your service. I got a no chip pedicure for $55 and then as I was getting my fill in I asked Nail Tech how much for the fill in, she replied $45 I also got some designs which she said was an additional $10. when I went to the register prepared to pay $110 for the total I was told that my cost was 115. I asked where the extra five dollars came from considering that I had asked about each service. she stated that it was an additional five dollars for the length because they were long..... if you could see how short these nails are... lol they are literally less than half an inch lmbo. I said there's no way that these nails are long as I had just got them all cut off two weeks prior and I said even if that were the case I specifically asked how much my service was and that at no point did you say it was additional five dollars for my length. then the lady gonna say oh well she must've forgot she actually called the police because I refused to pay her made up price! but guess what I still paid the $110 as I was quoted police or no police. They thought I was gonna get scared about police or back down but I am not that type of customer as a business if you quote a price that is a price that you have to offer unless additional services are requested you cannot make up random prices once you're at a register after you've already told one price read more

If i could rate this place a 0 I would. Kelly (the manager) is extremely disrespectful. I've had a bad experiences with this nail salon each time i've been there. They completely broke my nailbed not once but twice. I was in a few days ago & the design was not at all what I wanted. Even though I showed a reference photo and was told that they could do it. I called wanting them fixed which they said that they could do. I was unable to get them fixed that same day because they took me back for my appointment 30 minutes late and I was already running late to work because of that. However, shortly after one of my nails broke & ripped my actual nail. This was left than 24 hours of me getting them done. I called and spoke to Kelly and expressed to her that i am uncomfortable having my nails done there since it seems to be damaging my actual nail way too much. she then said that they don't do refunds & hung up the phone. I called back the next day and she was even more hostile and told me to come in to speak to her. When I came in she was speaking over me and rolling her eyes at me. Extremely unprofessional and ignorant. She also contribute to mentioned a bad review that I left, which again I find to be extremely unprofessional because I have the right to leave an honest review. I am more frustrated with the way Kelly handled the situation versus what had happened with my nail. She also proceeded to tell me that if i'm not happy here to simply stop coming. When my entire nail bed was damaged. Kelly is money hungry and does not care about the clients that walk through the door and their experiences at her nail salon. read more

Walked in for mani/pedi. Gentleman who did my pedi made it a point to seemingly scold me for having dead skin on the bottom of my feet, cut part of my toe nail and left it on my foot. Was VERY rough and left my feet cut up and rougher than when I went in. No chip was no better for my mani. Again, very rough, and my cuticles are jagged and rough. Also the woman did not clean the nails up and I had multiple spots of no chip stuck to my skin. $84 for this, would never return read more

I have been a customer for almost 4 months, and while I don't live near the shop, I would take a 30 minute drive just because I liked the work they do. However, there are a few reasons why I won't be returning. The first is, they do NOT do fill ins. This means that whenever you have your nails done, you must pay the price of a full set because they don't work on fill ins, even if the previous set was their work. This makes your bill more expensive than other shops, not to mention what you must pay for polish, designs, rhinestones, etc. If you're thinking of coming here, be sure to ASK for polish, because if you don't, they will do your nails with colored acrylic powder (permanent color) without asking, also raising your bill. I was willing to deal with all of this, until my last visit. Upon checking out, the tech asked me was I adding a tip to my card. I initially said no, because I had already spent $138 on a short set and pedicure (by the way, my bill was originally $155, but I used a $15 off coupon, just to give you an idea of how high they are). She then proceeded to say, "Next time please bring tip money because we work hard to do your nails". I was astounded. I had actually planned to give her cash, but you are NEVER supposed to say this to a customer ESPECIALLY given how high their prices are. It is always nice to tip, but it is the option of the customer and should never be said to the customer. I'm very disappointed, but that was sadly the last straw and I will not be returning. i wish I could remember names. my first time at legend nails seemed nice and inviting upon entry but I was sent to be serviced with a nail tech closer to the door young and sitting closest to the booth on your right hand side. she was not pleasant at all in fact she seemed bothered that she even had a customer she didn't care that it was my first then there or anything. she didn't offer a beverage or anything like I saw others do. she didn't want to give her name and just seemed very irritable. my nails were shaped so skinny and sharp they were hard to use and it only that they have all popped and broken half of my real nails right down the middle close to the cuticle. I feel I am starting all over. I would give them another try however I would never go to her. read more

I was recommended to this nail shop and was extremely pissed at the way my feet and nails turned out. I went Tuesday of last week and a couple of days later the no chip came off in the corner of one nail. The next day another one, yesterday another one, this time the gel came off with the no chip. It you have an overlay on your nails with no chip, there's no way anything should be coming off period. Also, while I was sitting there another young lady came in to get her nails done and poor way they were putting color acrylic on, WAS HORRIBLE!!! They also want to overcharge you to put no chip on your feet. I'm never paying $20 additional dollars for polish on my toes. I will never go back. This place MAKES UP their prices!! If you ever go here make sure you ask how much it will be before hand. I've gave this place 3 shots to impress me. Today was the last straw for me and will never come here again. Their work is good for a nail salon but any at home nail tech could easily do the work they do for an actual real price, not outrageous made up pricing. I've been getting XL blinged out acrylics for the past 5 years and NEVER ever have I been charged what they charged me. The first time I came here I got a full set of medium length white french nails with 3 pearls glued on each nail. I was charged $140. I was fine with paying that but she charged $55 for the acrylic and charged an extra $15 for XL length. THEY WERE NOT XL. Then the second time I came I got a full set of long/XL nails with a french with the expanding gel croc design they charged me $110. Now WHY would a long/XL full set cost way less than a medium full set?? Doesn't add up. Then the THIRD time today I gave them one last chance because I was going in for a fill in and figured it would be less $ , obviously...... well it wasn't. I got a FILL IN with a white french design with croc print and ONE gem on my ring fingers. THATS IT. I had one broken nail because the way they did the acrylic previously was extremely thin on that nail so it broke and i explained to her that the nail broke the day after i got them done and i showed her how this the nail was compared to the other nails. She proceeded to charge me anyways and the total ended up being $145. FOR A FILL IN. Absolutely ridiculous I got charged the same price as a full set. All the designs I had gotten were extremely similar. But yet the pricing was so different. They add every little thing on. She legit charged me to file them down LITERALLY she only filled them for a few seconds and legit only took the tip off. She charged me 5$ for that and 5$ aswell for "XL" why would she charge me for "XL" and ALSO "cut down" like how does that even make sense. It's a shame they have decent work but are going to lose all their customers for their lack of consistency. It's not about the price it's about how inconsistent and rude there people are when you try and stick up for yourself. No customer service. read more

I saw a Facebook friend post about this place so I thought it may be a good option. I called and made an appointment and came in for my appointment. The place was empty. That was my first bad sign. I was asking questions about services and I feel that the staff was talking about me based on key words they were saying in the language they were speaking. Although there were two you ladies working on me, they were rushing even though I called for an appointment and established what time I was coming. How do you receive a manicure without having your hands soaked in water!! I picked a nail color and the nail tech never came to look at the color just asked for the number. They started using the wrong dip powder because they did not check. The nail tech asked me did I want me finger nails cut down which I said yes. Then see proceeds to start filing and painting my nails. I had to tell her to cut my nails after she asked. I don't believe they did the full service that I asked for. I just wanted to hurry up and get out of there. There services cost more than places I have been with better service and better technique. The only reason I stayed was because I needed my nails done for special events this weekend and did have any other time to go to another nail shop this week. Furthermore, a couples hours later my nail started hurting!! That is something I have never had happen before even when I had acrylic nails!! I wouldn't go here if it was my last resort and would just not have my nails done. AVOID!! AVOID!! Do NOT patronize this business. The owner (Kelly) is just plain RUDE and INCONSIDERATE! I made an appointment with her two weeks ago however when I arrived I was told that she was on "vacation". If she was going to be on vacation then why wouldn't she call her appointments to reschedule? Isn't that what a "business owner" would do? So anyway, I stayed and let someone else do my nails. That too turned into an issue. I tried expressing that I wanted another coat of polish however instead of listening to what I was saying the lady rudely gets up and storms off. Another lady came and understood what I was trying to explain right away. Before leaving, I made another appointment with Kelly two weeks out. So this time (which was yesterday at 10:15 a.m.) I walk in and I'm told that Kelly wasn't in. So at this point, I'm livid because this is the second time that my appointment hasn't been blown off. (Mind you I don't live close and we all know that the price of gas is high). So I ask well where is she? They call her and she says that her kids are sick. Okay that's totally fine but where was my phone call to let me know before I got there for my APPOINTMENT? So I leave. My friend who also goes there and she had an appointment for 1 p.m. I call and tell her to be sure that she is there before she too wastes her gas. She calls and asks if Kelly is there. They ask her name and then proceed to say, "yes she's right here". My friend goes in and gets her nails done with no problem. She even asks Kelly the issue with doing my nails and she immediately turns to a worker there and starts speaking another language! She is just down right RUDE and I will NEVER return and I absolutely would not recommend to anyone if this is how they treat PAYING customers. I should've known better in the beginning. I loved this place the first time I went. Great pedicure. Went back to get a dip manicure a few weeks later. Also great. When I went to get another Pedicure, it was ok. What upset me was as my toes were drying, a girl comes up who works there and asks if I wanted to get a manicure. I said no thank you (as I had recently dipped my own nails and am fairly new). If I could give a zero star, I would. I had a manicure this morning which was a terrible and painful experience. The nail tech used a mechanical nail file on my cuticles. I told him he was hurting me, but he didn't seem to understand and continued. This resulted in the skin all around my fingernails being basically filed off! On top of this, I saw him take a cuticle cutter from his drawer, use it on me, and then put it back into his drawer without sterilizing it! When I left, the skin around some of my fingernails was so raw that it burned! I was so alarmed by the thought of possible contamination/infection that I went to Urgent Care! The doctor prescribed an antibiotic ointment and recommended keeping my hands out of lake, pool, or any potentially "dirty" water until the skin healed. Later that day I returned to Legends to speak with the manager, thinking he would want to know about this poor customer service. To my amazement, he actually defended the nail tech and was extremely rude to me!!!!! Thought you all might want to know this ~ I wouldn't want this to happen to anyone else! read more
