How many times do you have to go to the same salon for them to know what services you ALWAYS receive from the same employee? Sadly, I found out the hard way that every 2 weeks for a year isn't enough. I try for once a month, sometimes twice, an eyebrow and lip wax. I limit myself due to my age and sensitivity my skin has gotten since turning 50. Yesterday, I sat for my usual treatment only to have her decide I needed a chin waxing. I have never had nor needed one and was quite shocked when she spread the wax on my chin. Before I could say anything, she said for me not to worry and that she had seen some hairs and RIPPED the wax off - along with my skin! Afterwards, while getting my nails done, I could feel the continued stinging and finally cried out to the nail technician who immediately began to assist in relieving my pain. She grabbed the tech who made the mistake, and she apologized while running out to get medicine to help. After waiting for 30 minutes, I left. The owner actually tried to make me pay, as customers were asking if I was going to be ok! HE didn't give 1 ounce of care or take accountability for his technician's mistake. Pretty disappointed with my nails from the last visit. I wasn't able to take a closer look at my nails and toes until I got home. This is a gel manicure and gel pedicure. The technician painted around my toe nail causing it to lift at the edges and the whole gel polish would come off. My nails look like there's about 7 layers of paint on it. I would come here again because I've had more good experiences there, but just really disappointed with my nails. read more

The worst!!! We felt rushed from the moment we walked in the door. The service was terrible. I felt like a 5 year old was giving me the massage. The person never even touched the bottom of my feet, I did not get the scrub I paid for and the hot towels were NOT hot. What was supposed to be a relaxing time with my daughter ended with us both being angry at the sub par service. We will never be back and should not have even given the minimal tip we did. They ruined our afternoon and deserved nothing. Oh and on the wait out, the unfriendly owner never even asked us how our service was! This was my first time trying Lee Nails. I was not impressed and will not be back. Brought in my 6 year old daughter for a mani pedi and the price was $40! They didn't even give her a full manicure, only painted her nails. My pedicure is subpar as I can see through the polish on 2 toes. Manicure has already chipped 4 hour after completion. You cannot tip on your credit card which is a huge inconvenience if you don't carry cash. They have an ATM inside the nail salon but you are charged $1.50 service fee to use it. read more

I would like to start this review by pointing out that although I do not live near Mokena, I have been travelling getting my nails done here since 2021 and the first few times I loved it but lately I feel that each time I come back my service declines. My boyfriend and I decided to go on Sat, June 10 to get manicures together. Firstly, we were seated separately and when I asked if we could sit next to each other, I was told they wouldn't be able to accommodate us because of low staff, which we could've waited until it was possible but my boyfriend says that's fine, we move on with our service. I told the nail tech that I wanted full set acrylic no chip color. Simple right? So he proceeded to shape my tips and glue them down and he completely rushed through that process where the tips felt flimsy. Red Flag. Fast forward he lays the wet acrylic and lets the acrylic air dry without prompting me to use the blue UV light. Red Flag. Fast forward to the end of my service, everything went smoothly, we paid and we left awkwardly but we didn't think too much of it. By Thursday, I am at work and I work a clerical job so its no heavy lifting, or hard laborious roles in my work day. I didn't make i through one week before I had a cracked nail, and another on the other hand completely popped off same day, then as the weekend went on the cracked nail popped off as well as two other nails on my right hand. I called them to schedule a nail fix appt but afterwards and currently my nails are still popping off. At this point, I don't want to even get my nails fixed because its time for a fill or fresh set anyway and I wouldn't even go back to them for the fill anyway out of fear that more nails will continue to pop off after faulty base. read more

I highly recommend Lee Nails, especially to moms with daughters. Today was my second time going to this nail salon. The thing that drew us here in the first place is the fact that they have kid sized pedicure chairs. They are so kind to the children that enter the establishment and I have received the best customer service and the best experience. The nail techs are warm and friendly and the lady that worked on my 6 year old daughters nails talked to her the entire time about going back to school, what pets she had, what activities she likes to do. We left there feeling like we had just visited family. Our pedicures were fantastic and very relaxing. Horrible!!! Sure this location is fancy with its circular seating and ample nail technicians, but unfortunately their expertise and customer service is seriously lacking. When having a new set of acrylic nails put on, the old set needed to be removed. They didn't soak the old set to make removal easier. The nail tech man with the super long pointy nails pulled them off using his nails and a metal instrument. I asked him why he didn't soak them and he said they were all loose and would come off quick. On the 4th nail he ripped off a good part of my nail exposing the nail bed. I immediately contacted the manager and expressed my dissatisfaction and he had an attitude. He proceeded to still charge me. No, I'm not kidding. Both times my nails cracked and chipped within a week and a half after getting them done. Not to mention, the reason I got them dipped was because I was told they were supposed to last longer than a no chip manicure. I used to love it here and somehow it's taken a turn. The last time I went the man clipped skin around my toes and went I asked for the nails to be clipped so they didn't get ingrown he just clipped more skin. Gave them another chance yesterday and it was the roughest, most rushed service I've ever had. This man was actually hurting me and when I asked him to slow it down and be softer he waved me off. I paid for a honey princess with hot wax and he didn't cool the wax at all before plunging my foot in. My toes were already sore from his work so this was so painful. At one point he threw a towel over my feet and cracked all my toes. Who does that??!! Thr manicure was not quite as rough but definitely rushed. I understand they just opened back up and my lady was super nice. But it seemed a bit off. My basic manicure was rushed to the point, cuticles weren't even all cleaned up. Nails were not all filed and the paint developed bubbles. In all honesty I could've saved my money and done them better. My toes are better but just ok. Again, my lady was nice and tried. I think they fell behind and was rushing at the end. Also, I think many people there were new because a few didnt seem to know where or what to use. The guy doing my nails kept nicking my fingers and making them bleed, apparently he didn't get the point that he should've been more gentle after seeing multiple fingers start bleeding. It's hit or miss when I go here. Some days, they're fabulous and take their time even if it's busy. Last night, I couldn't go until 6:45 (because of work and kids activities). I did call to make sure I could still come in because I try to respect closing times. Whomever I had doing my nails seemed irritated I did come in. I asked for a no chip manicure and she didn't clean up my cuticles or anything. Then she rushed through the no chip and was really rough with the nail file at the end. My nails look horrible but I had no time to ask for a fix. She kept saying I was her last customer and she was tired. It's a shame. It costs money to get a service but depending on when you go, you may or may not get a job well done. Consistency is how you get repeat customers but it's time for me to find somewhere else local. read more

Worse nail salon experience ever. We called in advance for reservations and clearly stated the services we wanted. The entire time they were trying to add additional services that we didn't want. I had to constantly say "no thank you"...so much for a relaxing day. while my husband was getting a pedi I had 4 employees surround me pressuring me to get a pedi. I'm pregnant I don't need that many people around me at ones during covid to ask me the same question. So unprofessional and disrespectful, no means no. I wanted a mani with no color so I was offered a buffing instead of the color, yet was charge extra for the buffing. My husband was charge an extra $30 for no chip clear when all he wanted was a clear coat of polish after his mani. So the positive is that I was able to be taken right away thats about it. The service was fine she cleaned, waxed, plucked and cleaned again. In the mirror it looked good (I just wanted it cleaned up, nothing special) I should have looked closer. When I got home I legit had to pluck about 15 obvious ones out and another 15 less obvious ones out. I don't recommend the eyebrows tinting. She waxed a LOT of my brow off and with the tint staining my skin, it looked like someone drew a marker on my face. I just left this place and I am so disappointed to have One of the WORST experiences I've ever had at a nail salon, I came out with my sisters and niece to enjoy my nieces birthday but that wasn't the case. I used to get my nails done here all the time and got a lot of compliments. But after returning from a few month break of getting my nails done, I am not happy. I went with my sister to get my nails done, and while the workers are friendly, it does not change the fact of my nails. My nails have careless and lazy errors and I did not even receive a clear coat on my nails. $10 for French tip? And $10 for long nails? I haven't experienced that anywhere else.
