OMG, I LOVE these donuts. I don't live in the Puyallup area, but was there visiting family and discovered this little gem. Many of the donuts were HUGE, they had cute names, and were crazy delicious :) I had the "BSB Boozy Balls", my granddaughters had the "Tinkerbell", my grandson had a HUGE chocolate bar, and we took home a wide variety of others for the rest of the family. Love all the giant specialty donuts. They open early at 5 am and close during the week at 6. You can also get some the doggie donut treats for your pooch! These donuts are freakin' LEGENDARY. Massive donuts, fair prices, tons of variety, and a decent coffee/smoothie menu I still need to try. This place is a diamond in the rough, and definitely worth going out of your way to try. I get donut holes or share one :) Have to knock down a star for atmosphere, though. I just kinda got a vibe of walking into a donut filled closet. There's nothing wrong with a donut filled closet, mind you, but I really think the decor should match the quality of food! Big doughnuts with funny names. Have had a maple bar (okay, that's not a funny name), a Fat Albert, and a Yogi Bear. (PBJ Bear Claw.) All were good, none were great though. But the staff was friendly, it is a novelty to get a doughnut bigger than a baby's head, and they are next to Starbucks where you can get a good coffee since Legendary's coffee is decidedly average. Went to Legendary Doughnuts at 6:30pm and they close at 7:00pm. The door to the restaurant was locked. The worker was sweeping up the lobby and would not look up to at least give us the courtesy of telling us it was closed. The five minutes my wife and I were discussing other options, 4 other people tried to go to the restaurant as well and received the same treatment. I understand if you want to close early, but 30 minutes is a little early to have the doors locked. Also, if you do close early have a little respect for your customers and explain to them why you're closed early when they come to your establishment. Most customers drive out of their way for the posted hours and it's disrespectful and bad business to treat them this way. read more

I came specifically to buy their salted caramel doughsant for a friend and I also picked up a tiger tail for myself which has a cocoa twist in it. The donuts were excellent and the names are really clever. I gave this a three and not a four or five because the staff seemed a bit annoyed that they had customers which ruined my excitement a little about the experience. The tables were also disgustingly dirty when we went to sit down. I had to wipe off my seat before sitting and so did both of the people I was with. The other table next to us was just as dirty. I had the double chocolate donut which was great. It honestly earned them all three stars. The donuts are HUGE and delicious! I loved the chocolate sauce on top. My mom had a cinnamon roll and that was our favorite from the group by far. Other than an off experience with the staff and a messy sitting area, I would go back for another donut. So...I'll go back. This weekend we finally checked out LEGENDARY DONUTS in Fredrickson. Legendary Donuts makes some really delicious and interesting donuts. We tried a variety of about eight donuts, and each of them was just as interesting (if not more so) than it's predecessor. The cronut, which is some donut/croissant hybrid was really amazing. Flakey, but donut-ey (not a word). I don't know, it's weird, but really something special. The donuts aren't cheap, but they are reasonable for the size/quality. The donuts were something like $3-4 each. They are definitely delicious, but this isn't your "grab a cheap dozen for the office" donut. Delicious and unique. Check them out!! read more

The staff are friendly and the inside is clean however the donuts are same quality as a Safeway donut. They are just large ordinary donuts with icing and maybe a candy bar topping on it. It's not innovative or "legendary". They are just large ordinary donuts that are expensive. I'm still waiting to find a donut place that is almost as good as Blue Star donuts in Portland.
