Walking into the establishment it was well lit and the decor was simple but efficient. I was seated promptly and the menu and a glass of water so their after. It was a two sided menu, with a good variety for breakfast and lunch items too. I ordered breakfast. The service was consistent as my server did check on me and asked if I had any questions about the menu. I asked one and they were very polite explaining it. After my order showed up, I proceeded to eat it all. The combination of the eggs, tomatoes, bacon and cheese was equally satisfying and balanced. It was topped with Avocado slices ( slightly brown, but still good). The sourdough toast appeared to be from a freshly made loaf ( served with soft butter and raspberry jam) and the hash browns were cooked lightly. Overall this place will do well in this part of town. Yes, I would return again. Good service, good selection and great prices too!!

He had the Blueberry waffles and chicken and I had the Southern Cornbread and spicy chicken. The food was good, the chicken was moist and truly spicy!! The service was TERRIBLE! The girl that took our order was not happy to be there AT ALL! We stepped up to the counter to order, forget asking any questions. You could not understand what even her question of dipping sauce or original or spicy was. Not in a language barrier way but she was basically whispering in a way to not engage. It seemed like there was a steady stream of customers so for the owner that is nice, I am glad for that but I wouldn't run back due to the very unfriendly service.

This place is a reminder not to judge a book by its cover, don't want to call this a greasy spoon because there was nothing greasy about the food. Quaint and clean. The food was sooo good! Eggs, hubby's scrambled and mine over medium, were perfectly cooked. The sausage patties were delicious; nice crisp sear on the outside and tender in side. Best execution of hash browns I've ever had at any restaurant. The rye bread toast.... To make this place even better, the service was incredible. Wish I had gotten their names to give them the proper appreciation, both were attentive and friendly. Sad they are so far away, best breakfast ever!

I looked up diners and Yelp came through with this spot! When you're pulling up the the location you wouldn't think that there's a bomb breakfast spot in the area but OMG this place is fantastic! Small hole in the wall type spot but everything wad great. Solid stream of folks coming in and glad we beat the rush before it was a 30-40 min wait! Service, the sweetest servers! Charming and just overall nice, you know you're being taken care of with them. Renee made great recommendations and we got an omelet (forgot which one...it was a supreme/something omelet towards the top of the menu) and my hubby got a club sandwich! Omelet was cooked perfectly and they were not cheap on the meat! My hubbys club sandwich was HUGE! You must get the loaded hash browns, they are incredible!! Will definitely come back!

I HAD to order the French onion soup (practically a mandatory order for me whenever I see it on a menu). Le Sel Bistro definitely met my expectations because it was rich and flavorful with plenty of cheesy, savory goodness. Mmmm! Definitely had me satisfied along with my entrée. I ordered the Pork Belly Benedict, and it was absolutely delicious. I love me a good pork belly and this was a unique twist on the classic Eggs Benedict that I had to try, adding a savory flavor that complemented the dish perfectly. Everything was cooked well and beautifully presented. My friend ordered the (classic? Daily special?) French toast and completely demolished his plate before I had even finished mine! It looked incredible, and by how quickly it disappeared, we agreed it tasted pretty good (I had a small bite). The ambience and décor are exquisite, creating a cozy yet elegant atmosphere that's perfect for a leisurely brunch. We dined indoors, enjoyed a great conversation over our meal, and never felt rushed. The customer service was friendly, welcoming, and attentive throughout our visit. While the prices are a bit high if you're comparing it to a typical breakfast spot, they're exactly what I'd expect from a bistro. I'd recommend budgeting at least $25+ per person if you're ordering a meal. Between the quality of the food, the inviting atmosphere, and the excellent service, I felt it was well worth the price. I would totally recommend this as a fancy breakfast location and would return to try more of the menu.

By the time we got our drinks, the place had filled up. There is very little sound dampening here, so the sounds of every conversation echoed through the dining area and made it very hard for those at my table to hear each other. Our table was also disturbingly wobbly, which made the meal feel precarious. The food was excellent. The mocha was large and delicious, and my chorizo breakfast pizza offered a fun new taste for me. The biscuit meals were better than what we expected - in fact, we wouldn't even call them "biscuits." The food also kept well when frozen, so Art House may be better experienced as Takeout.

I also had the maple brown sugar latte, which was pretty good. My friend tried one of the breakfast bowls. I enjoyed the breakfast tacos; they had a good amount of chorizo. However, the curry chicken pot pie was not what I expected. It came with a puff pastry and curry, but the predominant taste was turmeric, likely from curry powder that didn't seem made from scratch but rather a premade mix. Overall, it's a pretty decent place with a nice ambiance and decent service

On our most recent visit we tried the nachos, and they were honestly the best nachos I've ever had. The cheese sauce is amazing- not some gross canned stuff. Dirty Oscar's Annex - Disappointing Experience on 6th Ave…read more We came in as a group of seven, and unfortunately the experience went downhill quickly. First, the service was poor and disorganized. One of my friends arrived early and ordered her drink, but it didn't arrive until after I had already received mine -- even after she asked twice. We also had to wait far too long for basic things like napkins and forks because we weren't given enough for everyone. The most frustrating part, however, was the automatic gratuity. At no point were we informed -- verbally or on the menu -- that parties of 6 or more are charged an automatic 20% gratuity. We only discovered it by carefully reviewing our checks. And to make matters worse, the so-called "20%" was not actually 20%. It came out to 24.1%. When we questioned it, the person who said she was the manager claimed "the computer does it automatically." We are a table full of teachers -- and the math was definitely not mathing. We understand and respect gratuity for large parties, especially when the service is great or when it's clearly communicated. But charging more than the stated percentage crosses from poor service into a billing integrity issue. To add to the frustration, there is also a credit card processing fee, which again was not clearly disclosed on the menu and only appeared at the bottom of the receipt. This absolutely should be visibly posted before ordering. They did offer to refund some of the charges, but we declined because it would have taken additional time and we had an event to get to -- and more importantly, it doesn't resolve the core issue of lack of transparency. She also gave each of us a $10 gift card, but again, that doesn't resolve the issue. And honestly, what good is a gift card if we don't plan on returning because of such an awful experience? Overall, this was a very disappointing visit, and not one we would recommend based on service and transparency alone.

There was only one server and it took several minutes before we were seated, which was near the front door on a wobbly, sticky table. People started coming in and were being seated at booths. This was puzzling to me with only one server...why was my family seated at the front on the restaurant? I wanted coffee, but I saw a full pot on the maker and asked when it was made. The waitress was honest and said 2pm (it was already past 4pm) so I passed and just ordered a sweet tea which was good. I ordered the country fried steak (my usual at the Puyallup location), but I was unhappy with it. When I tried to cut it, the breading came off and showed this dark, jerky like piece of meat. It wasn't edible so I sent it back. We will continue to support the Tim's kitchen in Puyallup. Although the Tacoma location has good ambiance, the server and cook let us down.
