I went in on July 21st to purchase an item. I was helped by Bennet. When I went to pay the total seemed a little high. I am a state medical card holder and am exempt from certain taxes. Bennet didn't know what I was talking about. Another manager came by and mentioned that the taxes were all lumped together and that she had no way to override them. I left without purchase and called once in the car. The same lady answered the phone. She proceeded to interrupt me and speak over me. I asked for her name and she refused multiple times before hanging up on me. I called back and Bennet answered. He ignored multiple questions and denied giving me the lady's name. I finally heard her in the background "I DONT GIVE A FUCK, GIVE THEM MY NAME!" Bennet informed me the other managers name was Marissa. I asked for councilmen Ned Davis' contact information as he is part owner. After many requests, I was finally given Ned's email. I explained what had happened to Ned via email. When he responded, he stated the taxes were deducted properly. Instead of apologizing for his employees, he stated they were "nervous" and "uneducated" and that he would take this as an opportunity to educate his employees on the tax exemptions. We had a pretty lengthy email thread which included me requesting multiple calls and also asking for the other owners to be included in the email. Patrick- the other owner, has still said nothing. Ned stated he would review the tax exemptions laws, check the cameras and meet with the two managers. There was also a discrepancy on the price I was quoted for the exact same item the day prior, which he said he would look into. I don't hear from him for. Few days so I followed up. He replied and stated that we could agree to disagree on the taxes, that his employees were instructed to provide their first names when asked and that the discrepancy in the price for the item was because the item was on sale try e day prior before telling me I was no longer welcome at hi shop. . I responded and asked for clarification on not be able to go back (especially since I'm still owed something at 40% off that they never honored), and if he could show me that the item was on sale the day prior. I asked for a call. Ned responded and stated that he was not going to call me. He made condescending remarks when he responded as well. Sayi things like, I don't know about the tax exemptions and what I believe is just that and not fact. He stated that is I knew of a loophole in the taxes to please let him know as the industry could benefit from it. His sarcasm was less than professional. He never met with his employees, didiant look into my concerns for the Tax exemptions and lied about an item being on sale the day prior. He did not call me or ever apologize for his employees behavior. He never took responsibility for anything. As a councilman I find it very disheartening when I heard him bad mouth other businesses like Bard boys- saying an NFL backing doesn't do anything except get you in the door, and Leaf. - saying he hated them as they take all his business. He lied, he was unprofessional, arrogant, and seems to have a problem taking responsibility for... well, anything. Items are very overpriced. I only went back because I had met Ned the day prior and through the was a standup guy. I wanted to support his business. Turns out people in power really are shady. I've had the same order and used the same products for years, but thanks to Bennett, I felt comfortable branching out and trying several new products and brands. The other reason I think Legendary O in Oxnard is one of the best dispensaries around, is the people who work there. I've been greeted with a smile by the reception desk each time I've been to the dispensary. The reception area is clean, and with a security officer always on duty, it feels safe. I don't think I've ever waited longer than a few minutes till it's my turn to enter the main atrium, where I can check out the goods. Usually, I'm asked how much I'm looking to spend, and then I'm shown what the best bang for my buck is, which I can't appreciate more. The last point I want to make, and maybe the most important, is the incredible selection Legendary O has! With the most competitive prices I've seen yet, on some of the best products I've purchased. I' have been a semi customer for over a year now. I live in Camarillo and usually go over the grade to Leaf. The vibe and the friends I've had the pleasure of meeting has been amazing. The only reason I would stop by Legendary is out of convenience, as it's closer to home and on my way home from work. Legendarys staff is has been great at times and seemingly anxious and short at other times. I'm very disappointed that I was recently treated badly by an employee that I thought liked me and wanted to help me. I would rather drive further to Leaf in Newbury Park than experience another buzz kill at Legendary. read more

I only started using cannabis this month. So it's been a quick journey of figuring out what works and where I feel comfortable shopping. So far, I have only visited Leaf and Legendary Organics in Newbury Park multiple times. Legendary is my preferred place. Leaf, nothing negative happened there, but the difference is I just feel more open here, and the prices are lower on things. I can have a lot of anxiety in new situations, so that's a biggie if I feel walking in, a sense of peace. Now, having visited both locations, I think I can give my best review. Upbeat, enthusiastic, and engaging employees always. I have had wonderful conversations each time, where I feel welcomed, heard, and cared for. I can't really think of many places that I feel like I do when I walk out of here. It reminds me of the community of a place like an old arcade or comic book shop. I have plenty of stash, but I feel if I am nearby, I just want to come by for a bit more. Highly rewarding! When you sign up, you get 4 discounts(at this location) for your first 4 visits. Also, you get 3 discounted visits at the other location separate to this one and share ongoing points between. So since I had used those at the other one, here I am due for three more discounted visits. Groovy, huh? This place is horrible. The hospitality I received from the budtender named Tina was extremely horrific I had no knowledge of what I was about to consume, and when I respectfully asked to be educated she did not provide me with the proper education by making me feel uncomfortable like if I was being a burden by asking questions. Our hard earned money is the reason why they have a job and we, as customers should not be treated with disrespect. When I was fully positive that she did not want to assist me I moved onto the next budtender and unfortunately, I received the same treatment unwilling or better said unmotivated to help me and pressured me to just choose a item and be on my way. These employees need to understand their position and have great customer service. They are selfish and only care about getting a tip showing no consideration for us customers trying to get high. We just wanna smoke and have a good time without having any weird side effects or bad trips. read more

I visited for my second time yesterday and it was not the same experience from the first time. The girl who assisted me was really helpful and nice, however the other girl there was very rude and expressive about it towards the gentleman in the lobby because i checked in with passport instead of my ID this time. She made coments in spanish which were very inappropriate to say especially in front of customers. Very unprofessional imo and left me speechless.
