Hair on the wall.

If I could give this place a negative star rating I would. I went in for an interview, and I was not greeted by the owner who was nonstop on the phone. I went to go change my clothes for the swim portion of the interview and there was a giant clump of hair on the already gross bathroom/changing area. The building itself was dingy and depressing but the bathroom really just set it off. I finished getting dressed and still the owner was on the phone and I sat there waiting for about 10 minutes until she finally handed me off to who she called a manager. She said I would be in the water for an hour, first half would be shadowing and second half I would taking over. Okay standard. I go in the water with the manager with a kid and suddenly another kid was brought to us by a guy not in uniform who we were told doesn't usually come but he was friends with the student. So now, the manager is teaching the class that I can't watch because I have to protect this other random kid who was allowed in the water for some reason. 30 minutes in and I'm expecting for us to swap kids. Nope, all hell breaks loose when they realize the kid swimming is over booked. The manager I'm with has another different student to teach, another employee walks out and they try to pawn the overbooked kid to her, she has another class and can't so they find a third person to take the overbooked student and everyone disperses. I'm still holding this random kid who is now screaming. Suddenly this kids grandma shows up, she was randomly swimming in the pool too, and she tells me she wants me to keep the kid in the water. Unfortunately ma'am I don't work here, your grandson was just left in my care? I am a stranger. Speaking of strangers, there were so many random adults walking around this place and not enough kids for them to be there for a reason. Maybe for the gym portion of the building but then they should be in the gym? I give the boy to his grandma (not sure if it was his grandma or a random old lady) and hop out the water. I stand at the desk waiting for the owner and still she is on the phone, I say whatever and grab my stuff and change. I come out. Still on the phone. Another employee comes up to me and introduces herself, she asks me if I will be joining the team I tell her no, and explain that legally I didn't feel like I should have been left with someone's kid who doesn't swim here and to me that seemed extremely dangerous. She agreed. We went back and forth a bit and she ended up telling me that she was hired for a higher position but once she was onboarded they switched it on her and she was not given the position. I told her that that seemed to check out. Mind you, the owner was no more than a foot away from us still on the phone and did not regard me at all. Even tho I'm out of the water 30 minutes early, me personally, I would assume there was something wrong and would give the potential employee my attention but no. I stood there for a while longer to the point where I asked the lady who had approached me to let the owner know that I would not be returning. There is no real supervision, your kids will never learn how to swim because there is no real curriculum and if there is, the manager who was supposed to be training me did not use it and the place is filthy with randoms all around who are allowed into the building/pool etc without any regulation so by default VERY dangerous for kids. If I wasn't there god knows what would have happened to the secondary kid when everyone just left me with him. I don't think anyone knew his grandma was there and no one cared that they were leaving me with him.

He had the nicest instructor who since left but all the instructors so far have been great! The facility is nice, water for smaller pool is always super warm, and they have swim parties where parents can drop kids off for a few hours on a Saturday. My son is back to the level he was at before Covid and perfecting his strokes. I Highly recommend if you're looking for lessons.

He loves the water and it was important that he learned or we got him comfortable and try to teach him safety first and like I said for the first 9 months he was happy and I was happy then his instructor left and was placed with a new instructor who by the 2nd week told her supervisor she was afraid to work with my son. My son is non-verbal, Autistic and has failed behavioral assessments which means there are no bad behaviors. If anything he is too affectionate so I guess that didn't work for her and they let us go as they didn't have anyone to teach him. I called several months later to check in to see if they had hired anyone able to work with an Autistic child, my words were to them but they never called. So I say all this to say that yes I was happy with them until I wasn't until they let us go because no one could work with my then 4-year-old non-verbal, Autistic, no negative behaviors child.

Long-time member. Deeply disappointed…read more I've been a loyal member of this club for almost 10 years, and it's disappointing to see how little they value long-term customers. When I first joined, I paid top dollar for a membership that included the ability to pause my account for business trips or medical reasons which I hardly ever needed to-- something I specifically asked about before signing up and choosing that one package that offered that feature. A couple of years ago, they changed their policy mid-contract, removing the ability to pause memberships, even for legitimate medical issues. Despite my doctor providing documentation with two different surgeries, I was simply told there were "no exceptions." After a decade of loyalty, that response said it all. Over the years, my wife also joined as a full member, and one of our kids took swim lessons here for years -- which are not cheap. Between all of us, we've put a lot of money into this place. But apparently, loyalty and good faith don't mean anything anymore. Beyond the customer service, the facility itself has gone downhill. When machines are out of order. You should expect it will be for months at a time (3-6 months isn't unusual), and every rainy season the roof leaks -- they literally have buckets set up to catch water. I refer to them as the "annual rain buckets". The irony is that the owners are construction contractors, yet they can't seem to maintain their own building. After almost a decade and spending a lot of money, I've decided to take my family's business elsewhere. It's unfortunate -- this could be a great place, but it's clear they've stopped caring about their members.

First time coming to this pool & on the first day open for summer ! free swim let's get into it …read more Besides me being an avid seafood lover, I am also a fish out of water lol ! I am literally a mermaid when it comes to swimming. I've been swimming all my life from public pools, private pools to beaches, rivers and lakes , being involved with lifeguarding as a teenager as well . I love swimming. I love being in the water, and I know the rules when it comes to public pools so this is where my honest opinion comes into play. So first of all, I will say this . As a mom I always do my research before I go anywhere , talk about anything , or judge. I've read a lot of mixed reviews about this place. This is what I have to say. I did my research and they said the following: pool is open from 11 to 6. There is a swim test required to go in the deep end and go off the diving board. You are not to wear regular clothes or cut off clothes in the pool. of course no running and etc. when I got there none of the rules were being followed. I even brought kids with me , not one kid was tested to get in the deep end , all life guards watched. and this is the first day opening so I can't go off of "Oh they might know this child" No ! your job as a lifeguard is to make sure no one is going under your watch. I feel like the young team staff thinks that since their parents are with them. there's no need for a swim test .... with my experience with swimming It's very important !including adults ! because just because a parent is an adult doesn't mean they have the best swim skills and if something were to happen, it is your job as the lifeguard to step in . so that stood out to me ( luckily me and mines know how so we were alright) I even taught a young lady how to dive ( she was a gymnastics girly and her mom was present ) and even thanked me for helping because she doesn't know how to dive so how can she teach !! But also as well as people breaking the rules with clothing, you have to remember this is a public space when you jump in the pool you're jumping in and sharing with everything so it was kind of disheartening to see a lot of rules being broken. Besides my personal observation of the rules and conduct of the employees , overall the pool is nice. It goes from 3 feet to about 13 feet deep on the deep end with the diving board. They also have a kid pool as well. They have tables that you can rent out for parties as well as a little shaded area, but you are allowed to bring your own lawn chairs and find your own spot if space is available around the pool , I brought two of mines . came from 11 to 5. The website says 11 to 6. They need to update it cause on the first day. I was expecting to stay the whole day . It was a 90 degree day . And they made us get out at 4:45 because they closed at 5 . I even brought it to one of the guards attention about the hours needing to be updated ( he said it's only for Friday , it was a Friday lol ?! He didn't know what he was talking about ) They have a snack bar, but it's trash honestly I've been and grew up in so many different pools. You could bring your own food and they will not bother you. Save your dollars and pack picnic style for the pool if you decide to stay here all day. Overall me personally, I have no complaints. I know what I will and will not do coming here, but just to appreciate the pool. We had a good day . little details I noticed, but if I come prepared, it's things I don't have to worry about . this is a nice pool . I suggest staff be more aware as well as parents and bring your own food..... that's my opinion.

I will say that he screamed the entire 6 weeks but from all the other babies/toddlers and talking to returning parents, it seemed to be the norm. My baby loved to swim but absolutely HATED to float. What good is a baby who can swim but not float? If something were to happen, I would rather have a screaming baby floating in the pool instead of the alternative. By the completion of our lesson, our baby was able to get into his float after entering the water in multiple different scenarios. He ended it with a 2 minute float, that he was whining through the entire time. It was encouraging to see toddlers who were in their second year with her, they absolutely loved the water and if I didn't know any better I would of assumed their lessons were always that smooth from the beginning. Their parents confirmed that their first year looked just like mine. Kids are resilient and capable of more than we think, it's the parents who put limitations on them.
