This was my first time at this location. Decided to do a mid-day date for some games and food. Service was good, considering it was busier since kids were out of school. It's always a fun atmosphere at Dave and Buster's. They have better game options here and it looks like they are building some new things. Looking forward to returning

Birthday party at Dave & Buster's

I haven't been to a Dave & Buster's in a year or two and this was the location I last went to. There's been many updates including several new dining areas away from the main bar that were empty the 4 hours I was there even though they all had reservation signs, guess they just didn't want people sitting around and making a mess and needing to clean up. I saw lots of kids sitting around on game machines but not playing or just resting while eating their dipping dots or other snacks instead. Would be nice if these extra dining area were opened for people to rest when clearly not in use. Also a water fountain because there was a lot of running around and all the kids got thirsty and didn't know how to get water. I went for a nephew's birthday party and the dining area is large and includes private rooms that are great for events. Most of the food was ok, a bit dry but usually expected for these kinds of catered food, but the pizza was abysmal - even Chuck E Cheese has stepped up their pizza game and now even has stuffed crust pizza - D&B are the quality of $1 frozen pizzas. The staff were friendly at the party section, but again it would be nice if there was a self-serve soda fountain because the kids didn't know how to ask for refills. It was a super packed Saturday afternoon/evening. Lots of new games, great for young kids and adults. The party package included unlimited arcade games for the day, but it was hard to figure out what's an arcade game, so we went around just tapping, it would be nice if these machines were marked. The games have gotten expensive through the years with a wide range of points needed, so definitely look for promotions like half-priced Wednesdays. Otherwise 1/3 of the same games (more geared towards younger kids) are available at Chuck E Cheese for much better pricing!

Very impressed with their upgraded venue! They have upgraded their interior and it Joe includes shuffleboard bays and virtual dartboard bays that you can rent out. The bar also looks much better giving it a better appeal. Menu has slightly changed and all that we ordered was good -- chicken nachos, flatbreads, wings and fun beer kegs! I wish they had a salad on their menu (what I wanted that evening) but they do have protein bowls. Came here on a Saturday night and much less crowded here for a bar sports night than the neighboring restaurants with 1+ hour waits. This was great and closer to the parking (indoor access!)

I love the remodel that was done not long ago. Kids love this place and most parents don't in my opinion. The biggest problem is the cost. It's just so expensive for kids to play these games. I don't know how they maintain the business at these prices. Service and food are pretty good. The concept is great unfortunately the execution is lacking.

I visited this Dave & Busters on a Sunday afternoon to find very light foot traffic inside. I came strictly for the food. The food was good. My table primarily ordered burgers and simple American fare. The customer service was just OK in a sense that just enough customer service was exercised to fulfill the obligation to serve my table. The value here is in the menu items, bar, sports atmosphere, arcade, and ample parking.

Always a hoot and holler when I come to this location. I love the bar area and staff shout out to syri ! The drinks always hit happy hour is the best I love the updated new chairs I wish they had more space for games it is rather small but close to home and fun! Food here is good I love the appetizers the most like the nachos and hotdogs in a blanket ordeal lol I truly always enjoy when I come here!

The place was clean and the service was amazing when we sat down to eat we did ask our waiter for assistance with the menu as we had concern due shellfish allergies. They were amazing having the manager come and explain how their deep fryer worked and put our minds at ease. My daughter had so much with her friends. The food was excellent great and service beyond amazing. Everything came out quickly with no issue.

Good evening spot for games and drinks, food is decent. Love dropping by anytime in the rio area for games and hangouts, and service is decent though prizes can be a bit lacking on occasion.

Happy hour that doesn't exist.

I have eaten here 3 times since I got the summer pass. All 3 times the server said I would get the discount and the game play credits. I never got either one even once, and none of the servers could figure it out. The manager offered game credits but that doesn't put the money back in my pocket. I kid for the discount card and it doesn't work so I'll be contacting my company to dispute this summer pass. They don't know how to cook. I ordered medium rare ribeye, came out well done. I re-ordered it rare. Came out well done. Everyone in my group agreed they are simply not capable of making anything but well done steak. The manager even agreed with us, got his best cook to redo the order, and he sent out a well done steak. They simply don't have a heat source hot enough to char the steak without overcooking the inside. They either need better equipment, or to stop ordering 1/4 inch thick steaks. The cooks have no chance of serving proper steak. I know it's an arcade but the ribeye is their pinnacle menu item, by far the most expensive thing they offer. They put a picture of a thick steak without overcooking a pink center on the menu, then serve you a dog food quality piece of leather. Unfortunately my some loves the pizza so I keep having to eat here but I haven't found a single thing that's good other than the sweet French fries.

I hadn't been to a D&B in years and took someone who had never been before. We used the new member deal where you buy 100 chips and get 100 free (only good for 30 days once you create your account) and this definitely made the experience more affordable. As far as food goes, I had bbq boneless wings with fries and my friend had the grilled chicken sandwich. Both were surprisingly good and were a decent value. Our server was amazing and we really liked the vibe of the dining area. I'd definitely come back to watch a game sometime with all of the TVs around. After eating we spent about 1.5 hours playing games. The arcade has a great variety of games and our favorite ticket winning games were bowling and dodgeball. Top Gun and Mario Kart were our favorites for a head-to-head battle. The prizes were actually really good here compared to Chuck E. Cheese where 500 tickets gets you an eraser or plastic ring. Overall, I was happy with my experience and will be coming back!

This was a men's fellowship outing for the men in our house church. We all attend Hope Church in Clarksville, MD for Sunday worship and meet as a smaller group on Fridays in our homes. Three of the five of us are married with kids so they rarely get time to just hang out with other guys. This outing allowed us to connect and have fun. We enjoyed the games, food, and conversations. We all love wings and enjoyed the Nashville hot flavored wings as well as barbecue and the lemon pepper dry rub wings. The burger, nachos and fries were all good too. This Dave & Busters is at the Rio in Gaithersburg, which is always a bustling area with many shops and restaurants. It's a great place to come as a family, hangout with friends or a date, even a solo date. The servers at this D&B were all friendly. The inside was clean for the most part and overall service was pleasant. The weather was great and it was Labor Day so there was a good crowd of people out. Parking wasn't pretty easy to find as well. We enjoyed the time and will very likely be back soon.

What times are more low-key, and more appropriate for families?

It was JUMPIN' this night! It was a Saturday - they had a DJ, waitresses dressed in matching outfits, and it was packed in there. Disco lights went crazy. Somehow we were able to get a table and sat down to order food. We thought we could get good margaritas here but the only flavor they offered was lime unfortunately. Our food took a really long time to come out but when it did, omg it was worth the wait. It was hot and you could tell everything was fresh and quality. Side note: knowing Spanish will help a lot when coming here. It's a mainly Spanish speaking establishment. Luckily, I'm Latina so I could communicate with the waitress once I noticed her English wasn't strong. All in all, this is a good spot for good Mexican food and late night food. I just give it 4 stars for the lack of cocktails...they didn't have a lot of what showed on the menu (pina coladas, etc.) and for the long wait for food when most people were just drinking at the bar.

While waiting to get it fixed we Found Antojitos, a little Mexican cantina in an older strip mall. It was early aftternoon, and there were several groups of men and families eating and drinking. I sensed that they had been there for awhIle, and intended to stay longer, as if this www how they usual spent their Saturday afternoons. Scanning the menu for something interesting my eyes caught the word Mondongo. Reading the menu details ( in Spanish only) I conFirmed that this was a rich tripe stew. I think my son had a steak and egg burrito. Our meals took a while to arrive. Maybe 20 mInutes. The Mondongo was served in a large bowl. The rich orange broth was brimming with large chunks of glistening honeycomb tripe. I Waac also thrilled to encounter chunks of cartilaginous knuckle bones, and a medley or recognizable and non recognizable fruits and vegetables. First, the broth. It was rich with Umami suggesting hours of boiling down pigs feet and knuckle bones. It had a tomato background, but also tasted of pumpkin, and even roasted pumpkinseeds. There was a hint of masa harina reminiscent of tamales. I couldn't identify the other flavors, maybe star anise or allspice. There were big chunks of yuccaa, and plantain slices skin and all. There was some green, maybe chayote. But the Honeycomb Tripe. The three times washed washed cow's stomach was soft and soothing. For the FIRST TIME EVER, I enjoyed a bowl of stomach without any odor or flavor of offal. I keep trying without success to replicate that recipe. Fortunately we have another soccer tournament in two weeks. I'll be back. Jim L

Today, there are 4 locations: 3 in VA (the original in Alexandria I've been to) & 2 I haven't as well as the only location in MD, which I have been to their Rockville location on Sunday, October 26, 2025. My girlfriend's parents love Hard Times Cafe. They used to go to the one in College Park, but it closed so they occasionally will drive much further for them to Rockville. My g/f & I were in Gaithersburg that afternoon, and her parents mentioned inviting us to dinner at Hard Times, which we agreed. It had been a while since I had been there and got samplings of the various chili. I thought I liked their signature Cincinnati chili the best, but I think I realized I liked the Texas even more. Terlingua chili was great too. I got a beer, which was good too. Service was friendly & prompt. I got a chili dog with Texas chili & fries, which were great. We also split chili nachos, which were good too. Hard Times Cafe isn't necessarily a place I'll go out of my way for, but it's a place I enjoy when it works out.

The wings were of good size and all cooked appropriately which was nice to see. Blackberry Habanero Wings - This was definitely my favorite sauce tried. It had a good balance of sweet and spicy, very solid. Quincy's Sauce Wings - These were okay. I believe this was a mix of BBQ and buffalo or some similar combination. They were a little plain. Garlic Parmesan Wings - This was a dry rub and there needed to be more of a garlic flavoring. There was a good amount of parmesan, but not enough of a garlic presence to balance it out. Chesapeake Honey Lime - This was definitely a unique pairing with the old bay and honey lime, which worked out well. Korean BBQ - These had more of a kick than I was expecting. There was a hint of sweetness, but good. Buffalo - This was a traditional sauce done right. I just wanted more sauce present on this set. Chicken Quesadilla - These were filled well and the chicken was seasoned nicely. I liked the pepper presence for a slight crisp factor. Cheesesteak Egg Rolls - These came with a spicy mayo which was a nice touch. The steak was liked, but the actual egg roll needed to be cooked a little longer as it was not too crispy.
