Dallas in the Round Rock location knows her stuff, and is extremely professional and thorough. I know I'm in good hands at Alite & with Dallas. I've visited for laser and electrolysis. Laser hair removal OF COURSE is awesome. Electrolysis has been around forever and is quite a tedious task that requires a bit of obsessive compulsion and patience. It's great for more precise and permanent hair removal in the brow area (where lasers are not precise enough for such a small area). It's also great for hair that isn't as responsive to laser treatments - light-colored and fine hair (white, grey, red, or blonde). If you're looking for great results, thorough education and treatment, in a clearly safe/sanitary environment - this is the spot for you.

I already had acrylic nails and told my nail tech that I wanted to change the shape and color. I gave her the option of either removing them and doing a new set or filing down. She chose to file and fill them. I ended up paying $75 for the service and left a $13 tip, bringing my total to $90. When I left, they asked if I liked my nails and I said yes. I want to be honest about that. I felt pressured and uncomfortable saying that I was unhappy in the moment. Once I got home and had time to really look at them, I noticed several nails were crooked and uneven, some areas near my cuticles looked exposed and the shape and cat eye design were inconsistent. I went back the next day hoping they could be fixed. I explained that I did not think the set could be salvaged and asked if they could please replace the problematic nails and give me a different shape. Anytime I have ever gone back to a salon for a correction, if there was a problematic nail they would remove that nail and replace it completely. My thumb in particular was one of the nails I was concerned about, so I expected that it could simply be replaced. Instead, I was told not to worry and that she could fix them. I also explained that I did not like how uneven the cat eye looked and asked if we could just change it to a solid color. Again I was told no. I asked three separate times about redoing the problematic nails or at least changing the color because I was still unhappy. Instead, the resolution I received was having the nails filed down even more. At that point I felt like everyone was staring at me and I honestly felt ashamed so I stopped asking and just let her continue. My thumb was filed down even more during the correction and it was hurting me. I was told that the nails would grow out in about two days and look better and that I should "save my money" and come back in two weeks. And that she knew what she was talking about because she had been working in nails for 25 years. I left without getting the color change I had asked for. I sat in my car afterward for 30 minutes crying because I felt frustrated, embarrassed and afraid to keep saying I was unhappy after already asking so many times. When I got home, my thumb started bleeding and I ended up removing the acrylic nail myself. I'm plan on removing the whole set. I really wish they had simply replaced that nails when I came back and asked, especially since the purpose of me returning was to have them corrected. I understand that I said I liked them when I was originally asked and I take responsibility for not speaking up immediately. I also understand that nail techs are human and not every set will come out perfectly. That is exactly why I went back and gave the salon an opportunity to correct the problem instead of immediately leaving a negative review. What ultimately disappointed me was how the correction was handled. I tried multiple times to communicate what would make me happy and I did not feel listened to. I wasn't asking for anything extravagant. I just wanted it properly corrected and an even set that I felt comfortable wearing after spending $90. I even said I would be willing to pay extra for a color change if they could just redo the nails and I was told no again. I hate leaving a negative review, but after trying to have the set corrected and then having to remove the painful thumb nail myself when I got home, I felt like I needed to share my experience.

It has been a while since I've had a stylist (had bad personal experience with the last one). I was wanting to get my hair brightened up for the holidays with some highlights, and found Legends via Yelp. I sent them a message through the website asking for an appointment, and they responded the same day! When I spoke to Hailey on the phone, I think I mistakenly understood the wrong appointment date because I showed up a week earlier than what my actual appointment was supposed to be. However, when I showed up (on the wrong date), she had the availability to see me and told me to come on in! She was very kind to take me. She could have easily told me that I needed to come back on my actual appointment date on the following week (and I wouldn't have minded doing that) - but the fact that she was so willing to accommodate me (even though it was my mistake) was greatly appreciated! Hailey was very pleasant and friendly. I enjoyed our easy and casual conversation while she worked on my hair. She is fun and easy to talk to! I've always had an issue with dry scalp (gets better and worse as the seasons change it seems!). She is one of the first stylists that I've been to that noticed it and offered a nice and simple suggestion on how to help it get better (Tea tree oil!). I appreciate that I didn't feel like she was pushing me into having to buy some ridiculously expensive salon-exclusive product (this has been done to me in the past) and she didn't make me feel bad or self conscious about it. The suggestion was a very helpful one, and also very much appreciated! I look forward to trying it out. =) I am super happy with the way my highlights came out! They are absolutely beautiful! She also did a trim/layer on my hair, and it has definitely given it some beautiful shape. All in all, I couldn't be more pleased with this experience. Just have to say, I LOVE HARMONY! She does an excellent job on my cut and highlights!!! I have seen her about 5 times now and every time I have been happy with how my hair looks. We've changed up the color a few times (darker for winter - blonder for spring/summer) and the color has always been on point. My job has me interacting with LOTS of people on a daily basis and I can't tell you how many complete strangers have complimented me on my hair (both for the color and the cut). She also styles my 17 year old sons hair and he is always happy with how she cuts his hair. He spends his own money to see her so it's not just the fact that Mom pays for it - he makes his own appointments and pays his own bill. Her prices are fair - not the cheapest but definitely not the most expensive (you do truly get what you pay for and then some). I saw a review on here complaining about not being able to get an appointment with her within a couple of days...in my experience throughout the years, this is normal for a hair stylist. You are "lucky" if you can get in at the last minute - always due to a last minute cancellation. I always book my next appointment with Harmony (6 weeks out) when I leave. Most of the time, I have to change it at some point in those 6 weeks due to my ever changing work schedule. I've had no problem doing this and getting in either the week before my 6 weeks or after. When my son calls to get an appointment, he may have to wait a week or two but that's because he doesn't book his next appointment ahead of time. This is normal - if you want same day, there are places that can accommodate this but, you DO get what you pay for. this is the absolute worse hair cut I have had in my entire 52 years of existence on this earth.My mother did a better job putting a bowl over my head,granted I was not charged WHY SHOULD I BE I AM NOW WITH HALF INCH of hair left all over my head.Thats a generous estimate.I was very specific in what I wanted.Could not have been more clear.Now I have nothing it will be at-least a year before i have any hair to style.Explanation:"You must have body dysmorphic disorder" Absolutely do not recommend you even think of going here.I am one to never leave reviews this takes the cake as they say!!!!!!!!!!!! I had to give a 1 because it would not let me give zero.All those fives are fake in my book watch out ladies. Body dysmorphic disorder is a sad an severe condition.These ladies are not qualified to diagnose such a thing,I happen to be,I am a doctor. This was my first time in this place. I recommend you quickly look elsewhere. I was hung up on to finish the treat. They have an item of mine a hair band yes ladies I had one,the plan was growing out my hair. Had my hair cut and styled by Harmony First off, I'm a little bit picky about my hair and I get anxiety when I have a new stylist give me a cut for the first time. The salon was ultra clean and the staff was very friendly and understanding even though I was almost 20 minutes late for my appointment (Sorry!). I had my cut done by Harmony. I felt like she understood what I wanted immediatly and without the usual extensive explaination which definitley eased my mind. I travel year around for work so most of my cuts are from a stylist who is cutting my hair for the first time so I rarely get the haircut I really wanted. This was not the case with Harmony. She listened to everything I said and when she was done the cut actually looked better than what I originally envisioned. I tried Harmony on a recommendation instead of the stylist I use when I'm in town and I am happy I did. Legends Salon was cleaner, faster and the staff were more professional than any other salon I have patronized, Including the ones I visited in New York and Chicago. The OWNER actually greeted me when I arrived and made sure I was happy with my cut when I left. I've had salons treat me like a nuisance or not book me when they find out it's just a mens cut. The customer service was as good as the cut and I believe it's just as important. read more

I'm a rather low-maintenance client, as I have no color needs and nothing that needs to be cut every couple of months...yet (just waiting for the gray to appear). I go to the salon about every 4 months and have been since they first opened. I book in advance, as they are pretty busy and rarely have cancellations. I don't think I've ever waited longer than 2-3 minutes after my appt to be called back. Lauren is my stylist...she knows me now and what I like. If I show her a pic of some awesome cut I pinned, she'll tell me if my hair will actually agree then she makes her own recommendations based on my fine hair and I walk out loving it each time...medium, long, layers, blunt, etc. I'm usually short on time and in a hurry due to work, so I've nicely mentioned a couple of times that she can just let me leave with my hair wet. She won't do it... she needs to style it and see how it hangs, etc. Then she perfects it more, you will walk out with one great cut! Lauren has such style...when I HAVE to get color to cover my gray I can't wait to see what she comes up with! My 10yo go her first real cut here too just a few months ago, and Lauren spent as much time on her, getting her fine hair perfected too, as she does on me. She still loves it. I have nothing but good things to say about Legends Salon. I, like most people, am picky about my hair, but in the most boring way possible. I want color and highlights, but I want them to look natural and not seasonal. I knew Lauren was an amazing artist with cuts and fun color, but I've had many stylists stumble over my desire to keep the color natural-looking. Lauren has no problem with it, and keeps me looking just like me minus the grey. She and Amy, the owner, are awesome to work with. I always feel like I have Lauren's undivided attention during my appointments, and Amy is great about giving me a heads-up when Lauren's schedule is booking up faster than usual so I can make my appointments. Yes, I have to book in advance - usually about two months in advance. But that's what happens when you go to a good stylist. If you want someone who can squeeze you in on a whim, you're going to have to find someone who is less professional and less in-demand. In response to another reviewer having a right old snit: Having worked in a service industry, I can say with confidence that your refusal to plan in advance does not constitute a "special circumstance," nor does it require accommodation that would displace a more responsible customer. read more

Harmony is by far the BEST stylist and colorist I have ever been too, and believe me, I have been to a few over the years. She has completely transformed my hair. When I started seeing her over a year ago, my hair was broken off, damaged, way way too dark and an unflattering cut. She worked her magic and gave me a cut that worked on my hair, an amazing color that I truly love, and many friends have told me makes me look 15 years younger!!! She is amazing, I can't tell you how much it means to me to actually have hair that I get compliments on!!! That is new for me. She listens to what you say but more important to me is she is incredibly talented and has a gift for this!! She looks at the shape of your face and skin color etc. and goes from there. This is by far the best place I have ever been. I moved here 5 years ago and wanted to get my hair done. I have been going to Linnea ever since and I absolutely love her! She is the best person to have ever done my hair and never disappoints. I love that I can bounce ideas for hair color and hair cuts and she will be honest with me if it will look good. My husband also sees her every once in a while as he doesn't cut his hair often but when he does she does an awesome job. She also cut my daughter's hair when she was 1 and was very patient and careful with her. My little sister also travels from 2 hours away just to get her hair done by Linnea. We don't just trust anyone with our hair lol. I wouldn't go to anyone else but Linnea and always look forward to my hair appts with her cause I know my hair will always come out looking gorgeous! Since moving here to Round Rock I have tried 2 different stylists and have not be happy with the results. It was time again to have my color done and I didn't know where to go, so I did some research and read several excellent reviews on Legends Salon. My appointment was with Karen to get color and cut. I admit I am not the easiest person to please and have a distinct way I like my hair to look. Karen was awesome she did not freak out when I came in with the picture of how I wanted my hair done (brown, blonde & pink). She was excited and happy to get into this challenge I had brought her. Karen took her time to ask many questions so that she knew exactly what I wanted. Since some of my hair was going from dark to a blonde she was very careful to not damage my hair by over bleaching it. I would recommend Karen and this salon to everyone. So I recently moved from South Austin, where I've lived for 14+ yrs, and needed a new stylist. I turned to Yelp of course and glad I did! I know it's just hair, and it grows back, etc, but trying a new stylist is always nerve wracking, am I right?! My husband called to make the appointment for me, because he's just awesome like that, and lucky for me Lauren had a cancellation that afternoon! I was warned that she is usually booked out 3-4 weeks so make your appointment now! :) Lauren was great, easy to talk to, and knew exactly what I was trying to say and how I wanted my hair to look. I hope everyone reads this review because I just love Legends Salon! Not only is the atmosphere great and the people amazing, but I discovered Karen through her Facebook page and I am so incredibly happy that I did! I'm such a lazy person when it comes to my hair, yet get incredibly nervous when I have it cut or colored. In other words, I rarely get my hair done, and when I do, I nervously and miserably fidget the whole time. Karen changed all that for me - she not only is the most talented hairstylist I've ever encountered, but she also is the most enjoyable person. I can count on one hand the number of people who have cut my hair (for a very long time it had always been my mother). After moving down to Texas and putting up with my own sad attempts at trimming, I decided to look into recommended salons near me and found Legends Salon. I go with Linnea and I love what she does with my hair. She is the FIRST person to have ever dyed my hair and every time we do, it's a colorful adventure and I always get complimented. She's a wonderful person to talk to, and has a great eye. I've actually moved farther away from the salon, but the long drive out there is worth every penny. Karen was recommended to me by a friend and she did an excellent job. My hair is not easy to manage and I have had many terrible experiences in the past from so called "super" salons. I have finally found my salon and stylist! Everyone was so nice and professional. It took a little while to get in which is always the case with good people, but was well worth the wait. Karen took the time to explain what was going on with my hair and explained how to take care of it between visits. I am not a glamorous woman but looked like it when I left! I've been going to Karen for quite awhile now (she's in my phone as the Hair Genius). She has taken my hair from an over-processed disaster to beautiful silky hair. Which is not easy since I'm one of those clients that like to change things up. Blonde to Black, back to Blonde and now lets let the gray start to grow back in. And she handles it all with a great sense of humor! If somethings just not going to work or look good, she'll let you know and make a suggestion on what will work. this has actually have bin the first time i can actually say i love my hair after going into this salon. i fear cutting my hair and only trusted one person to do that but sadly she lives 10 hours away from here so i only see her once a year. the first time i let karen simmons touch my hair i was nervous and told her my dilemma but thank go i found her because she knows what she is doing. Lauren, at Legends Salon, has been styling my hair for the last 7-8 years. Her attention to detail is beyond compare. I get my lash extensions done by Kory at Legends Salon and have been doing so for over a year now. And, I have to say, Kory is the best! I normally have thin and sparce lashes but I now have full and lush lashes for the first time in a long time -- all thanks to Kory!! She is extremely knowledgeable in her field and does everything in her power to make you feel comfortable during and after the application. In addition, she is one of the sweetest and kindest people I have ever met and goes above and beyond to ensure that her clients are happy and satisfied with her services. After reading the Yelp reviews, I decided to give Legends Salon a try. I am new to the area and still looking for "my place" to get my hair done. I had an appointment with Linnea and she was great. She listened to what I wanted and answered all of my questions with a great attitude and gave helpful tips for haircare. The whole experience was great from the phone call to book the appointment to the checking out process. The owner was helpful in helping me find products that will suit my needs and my budget without "pushing" products on me. I will definitely be going back the next time I need a haircut. read more

Caden, the woman who did my hair, was essentially slapping the dye on my head, carrying globs of dye from the bowl to my hair, dripping it along the way. And then came the haircut. The worst I've ever had. I planned to take some off the top but after noticing that she had never cut a fade before I told her I didn't want the top cut. I left with a decent color job, and the sides of my head were cut completely different and uneven. It was horrendous. I will not be going back here again. And I do not recommend this particular hair dresser, at the very least, for a men's haircut.

I used to dye my hair myself, and I've had some poor experiences with other folks... but now that I've found Stacee, I refuse to let anyone else touch my hair. I originally found her because I needed someone to help me fix my ombre job. The ombre got brassy really quickly and there were a lot of cheetah spots on the bottom layers. Stacee whipped up a special blend to help adjust the tone and keep my hair from falling out. The toner she applied smoothed out the color SO MUCH. She wanted to wait and give my hair a break before putting more color into it. I appreciated her care and advice! I followed up with her weeks later to re do the actual ombre. She did a beautiful cascade of deep chocolate color at my roots to the perfect medium honey brown at the tips. She feathered in the dye and hand painted the strands so it looked like natural swirls of color. I mean, never in my life has someone been able to replicate my exact vision. I trust this woman like no other!! You want to know the best part?? Her prices are SO REASONABLE! Top notch hair color and cutting for amazing prices. She wants you to be satisfied, not gouge you. Love her and can't wait to see her this week for my wedding hair touch up! Xoxo

Also when I say that I have never felt more comfortable getting anything done I really mean it! I was sending a bunch of request to get a perm from a bunch of places in the Hutto area. I had a couple of specific request that was making finding a stylist very difficult. That was until I recieved a message from Eriselda's Salon. They answered within a day and let me know that they were going to do their best to accommodate me. And they absolutely overdelivered. I was introduced to one of the sweetest person I've ever met Ofelia Castillo! She was my stylist and she made me feel like I was at home and she did an incredible job. Ofelia listened and customized a color and perfectly cut my hair and styled it how I wear it daily. She is a great artist and is passionate and professional , definitely loves what she does. When I first saw my hair finished I thought the curling hairstyle she finished with was super cute but I couldn't really make out much layers. But I wanted to give myself time to feel for my hair cut. In all honesty after that hair cut my hair felt the same just a bit softer. My hairstylist was Grace. Super sweet and kind and very talkative. And I haven't touched my hair with an iron in years, so the hair style she did was refreshing. I didn't know how to express wanting more layers after it was already dried and styled and I wasn't facing the mirror till it was done and after watching butterfly haircut videos I didn't really see the same method done to my hair but again it being my first time for layers I wanted to give it patience and I'm no stylist so I couldn't say her technique wasn't going to give the desired layers. I wanted to trust the process. If I decide to go back I will definitely try to be more vocal even if the hair was styled and finished. I'm only here to express my experience. The hair cut was a gift so idk how much was paid but based off the expression it sounded like it was more than what was expressed online which I hope wasn't because I did ask if drying and curling was an extra cost and was told no. We also tipped on card and in cash so hopefully all was priced right on that. Once again this was just my personal experience and I learned through the process what to do the next time I go to a salon. (P.s I clicked the pics in order but the pics don't look in order after adding them. Grey shirt and brown sweater are the night before and day of before the haircut. Then the curly hairstyle with my heart necklace was what Grace did. And the wavy hair in the purplish flower shirt was day after.)
