WOW! WOW! WOW! Arturo and his team did a SPECTACULAR job at my brother's wedding this weekend! We could not have been happier! I will honestly say that he was a pleasure to work with from every single interaction and managed expectations very well. Being that the wedding is in January, we went in with so many ideas of what we wanted and a budget of course. He was very good about letting us know what we can and cannot do within reason of our budget since so many flowers we wanted were not in season. And, when it came time, he OVER-DELIVERED! Surprised us with some of the very expensive flowers we wanted showcasing them in the perfect way on the head table and areas that it really showed instead of just here and there getting lost in the mix. Arturo Exceeded our expectations on many levels including timeliness of delivery. I have been in the events business for 20 years and walking into his ballroom 2 hours prior to guest arrival was a flawless room. He was finished, cool, calm and collected! I have never seen that in a florist, they are usually running around with a mess everywhere up until the last moments. He has impeccable taste, quality work, beautiful props, etc etc. I really can't say enough about the experience as a whole. AMAZING. I went to Artquest for my wedding flowers after having a horrible experience with another florist, who basically told me that they weren't able to do anything I wanted...and I didn't really want anything that complicated. Arturo took my ideas and made them into the most beautiful arrangements that I could have ever imagined. He gave me a flat rate, which I appreciated, and said yes to everything I wanted. When I came in to his shop to see my mock centerpieces, he had the table set up so beautifully that I ended up renting linens from him as well. The thing that I was most impressed about was the attention to detail. My bouquet took my breath away. I gave him pretty vague instructions ( I wasn't even really sure what I wanted other than cream roses) and he made it into something beyond my wildest dreams. It was perfect. He and his assistant were my favorite vendors out of the whole wedding to work with and I will forever be thankful for their work and the memories that they left us with. I was late to a graduation for a good friend of mine. I used Yelp to help me find a good local florists that I could quickly stop by to grab some flowers for a gift. Art Quest was my choice, but I didn't realize that this florist is specific for events (weddings, baby showers, etc) and not for ready-to-buy bouquets. When I arrived frantically at the shop, the owners asked me what I needed. They explained to me that they don't have bouquets of flowers available since they usually only do events. Graciously, they asked how much I wanted to spend and could put something together for me quickly. Art Quest created a bouquet of flowers for me in minutes and it was absolutely stunning! GORGEOUS!!! I worked with Arturo for my wedding back in September, and I could not have imagined anything so beautiful as what he created for me that day. When looking for a florist for your wedding day, it is a bit difficult to know whether or not the vendor will understand your vision and also respect your budget. Arturo did both of this and so much more (I know that sounds like an infomercial but I seriously cannot emphasize enough how amazing the flowers were). He listened to everything that I said --interpreted my "wedding vision" and also did it all for such a reasonable price. In addition, he arrived early and set-up everything (on the day of your wedding, you don't want to be worrying about these small but important details). I hired Artquest for my wedding and they did a phenomenal job with the flowers - the arrangements turned out to be even more amazing than I had envisioned. All of the guests at the wedding commented on how wonderful the flowers were and what a great job they did. During the planning process, Arturo was very responsive, organized, and quick to answer all of my emails and the many questions I had. He also was able to make some last minute changes to my order and sent an updated proposal each time. When I went for my floral mock up I was pleasantly surprised with the centerpiece and table setting he had put together. Arturo is the first vendor that I feel the need to review. I honestly don't think our wedding would have been as beautiful without him! We really would not have been able to get through it without him and his ideas. He really is amazing! We were in a state of panic 3 months before our wedding. 1 - we had contracted a different florist and had gotten a mock up...it made us want to cry; 2 - we were so lost on which color/type of table covers go with what color napkins...and we've already gone through 5 vendors! None of them helped us or guided us in the right direction. As soon as we got our bad mock-up, we remembered that my fiance's cousin went with Arturo for their wedding and the flowers were really pretty. We called Art and to our luck, he was available to meet that same day. He basically listened to our vision and gave us suggestions. We asked for his opinion about EVERYTHING, and he was straight forward with his thoughts (never pushy) but gave us a good idea of what options we had and what kind of feel it would bring to the wedding, which is really what we needed. It was also awesome that he had both flowers and rentals! After going through 5 different rental companies...our heads were spinning with the different color combinations, but Art really pulled through! The day of the wedding, he delivered a beautiful bouquet for me and my BMs. He also delivered flower arrangements from my fiance which was also really amazing. Artquest Flowers is by far the best florist in San Diego. The level of service I received for my wedding, from the beginning to the end, was beyond my expectations. During my first appointment with Arturo and team they were extremely helpful, showing me images of weddings they had done in the past that were similar to the vision I had in mind for my wedding. They were also within my budget and helped me find flowers that would keep me within the amount I wanted to spend. The day of the wedding I was completely surprised and happy with the flower arrangements they put together. The ceremony sight & reception were amazing and all my guests kept telling me how much they loved my flowers. This could not have been accomplished without Artquest and Arturo. He has an amazing mind and is extremely talented. The flowers were so pretty and exotic. The theme of my wedding was slightly tropical and he brought in the most gorgeous, fresh flowers I've ever seen. One day, I would like to order something other than something starting with 'sympathy'. That said, once again, they did a stellar job.

My friend's mom ordered me a bouquet through FTD for my birthday. They came from this florist. I do have to admit they were gorgeous. They arrived in a small round glass bowl and were all my favorites. There were hydrangeas, ranunculus, tulips, gerbera daisies and a few roses. This was probably the prettiest bouquet I've ever received. The reason for the low rating is friend's mom called to see if I liked the flowers and if I enjoyed the chocolates she ordered. I told her I didn't receive the chocolates. I followed up and called the florist to say I didn't receive my full order. He said that it wasn't on the order but he'll send someone over. No one was home when they said they delivered but my neighbors are close friends and no one ever comes to our door. So I don't know who would have stolen the box of chocolates. We get deliveries all the time and have yet to have a problem. I called back again to double check and he said someone should have delivered them but he'll ask the driver. The guy on the phone was pretty rude every time I called. In the end, FTD called me to say that this florist said he delivered and wasn't going to deliver another set so they'll just refund the money. And to boot, on the FTD order it says the flowers are guaranteed to last for at least 7 days. One stem of hydrangeas died and other flowers were losing leaves on the 2nd day even though I changed the water daily. I had to rearrange the whole bouquet by the 3rd day. Obviously they didn't use completely fresh flowers. I've had Trader Joe's bouquets last longer than this. read more

Not only was ArtQuest's was more reasonable in price, but was also able to invision actually what my niece had in mind. Both Arturo and Nathan were very helpful and friendly. The day of the wedding everything was perfect at the church. We went to the reception at The Abbey on Fifth Ave. and I was awed struck! I hired Arturo to do my wedding on 08/13/11 on one of the Hornblower Yachts. We wanted our wedding to just be a truly awesome experience on every level....sights, sounds, smells etc...we chose Arturo because he has extensive experience with our yacht, the High Spirits. Can I just tell you words can't explain how amazing it was. When I first walked on the yacht, I started to cry. It was beautifully breathtaking. Everything looked elegant and classy. The choice of gardenia in a few of the arrangements gave off a very subtle yet beautiful smell as we set sail and the breeze blew through the open yacht windows. My guests gasped, literally. We are an older couple (mid 40's) and our guests had been to LOTS of weddings but so many told us they had never seen such beautiful flowers. They were elated when I told them they could take them home after the wedding. My bouquet, flowing white orchids with beautiful little white crystals, was stunning to say the least. It was a shame I couldn't keep it that way forever. My suggestion, let Arturo and his people do their thing. Give him a general overview of what you are thinking and let him run with it. Arturo did my daughter's wedding flowers for her wedding just this past Sunday (July 2011) and they were beautiful! The gazebo flowers were lush and beautifully put together. I would give these guys zero stars if I could. I had no choice in the matter of choosing the florist, I ordered through FTD. The dlivery was a day late, the arrangement called for pink roses, pink lillies, and red carnations. When the arrangement did arrive it was not even close to what I had ordered, it was a great bouqet but not what I had ordered. There were no lillies and the roses were red. The arrangement also was supposed to have a vase with an enscription on it, did not happen. I called FTD to report the issue, they tried for two days to get in contact with the florist to no avail. FTD had to do a full refund. These guys may do great face to face business but to us guys who go through the internet be careful. I would not be so upset but my wife favorite flowers are lillies, and she was not at work the day they arrived. I have read the great reviews about this place and hope they can rebound from this. Wow!!! Arturo and Nate are artists. Our reception was beyond beautiful. More than I ever expected. I'm so grateful I found them. We used their linens/chairs/chargers and napkins and everything was breathtaking. The flowers were so SO elegant. My bouquet was my favorite! Huge centerpieces. I can go on forever. They were the best deal by far. We searched in San Diego and LA and they were the best deal, but what they provided was so much more than we ever imagined. Arturo from Artquest Flowers provided gorgeous floral arrangements for our outdoor destination wedding in La Jolla. He is a true artist and worked with us to carefully select blue flowers, herbs, and succulents to create incredible bouquets and living flower arrangements that our guests could take home. The two large bouquets he created to frame the ceremony arch were breathtaking. He worked with us to find the right combination of flowers that were in season and matched our color scheme, but also incorporated enough details and creativity to make our floral arrangements truly unique. He was also very flexible in delivering the flowers and worked with our coordinator and photographers to make sure we had everything we needed in place before our pre-ceremony ("first look") photos. Arturo was also a delight to work with. We met with him in his North Park studio to view examples of arrangements that were conveniently displayed and organized on his ipad. He clearly listened very carefully to what we wanted but also made helpful suggestions about the types of flowers that would be at their peak (in season locally) and hold up during a hot summer day and evening. He also offered advice, based on his extensive experience, about which types of flowers would work well in my hair and for the wedding party's bouquets and boutonnieres. The owners dog bit me! I had been wanting to check out my neighborhood florist; thought the window displays were unique. Walked in and was greeted by two small barking dogs. Owner came out a few moments later. Looked around the store a bit, owner went back to the back of store. Dogs were barking aggressively the whole time.(too annoying for a decent shopping experience.) I have used Artquest over the years (approx. 12 years) and I have never ever been disappointed. I will not go anywhere else cause I can depend on this florist the deliver whatever is ordered. Reading the reviews here, I find it strange that the negative reviews admit that their flowers were gorgeous - that the issue was something wasn't delivered - possibly stolen or it wasn't on the order form from FTD. Reallly? You're blaming this florist for a mistake that possibly could have been made somewhere else in the chain of the order? read more
