LOVE to stop into Leilani's when I'm in the Claremont Mesa area of SD County. Discovered this great little shop filled with delicious Ono Hawaiian and Asian treats, as well as some Hawaiiana items your aunties will love and big bruddah shirts for all your Pacific Islander friends. Hubs enjoys Lion Coffee, and we use to always grab a few bags when in Hawai'i, but haven't been in awhile, so Leilani's comes through with a stocking stuffer - or two! I also picked up some cute Hawaiian themed Christmas cards and Honolulu Cookie Co cookie bites and Punalu'u Taro Sweetbread! Took my mind back to the Big Island with the first bite! Broke da mouth! I stumbled into a hidden gem that felt very nostalgic! My boyfriend and I were getting boba from next door and noticed this little shop that sold Hawaii items. Of course we had to check it out! It's located in between Victory MMA & Fitness and GuilTea Cravings on Clairemont Mesa Blvd in Clairemont. There's a huge parking lot with ample parking spaces around. My boyfriend and I were just browsing around the area and the first thing I noticed was the variety packs of Noms, a fun gummy bear snack with a mixture of flavors. It's apparently become very popular since we left the islands, and I've been seeing it more and more often. There were also other great snack options such as li hing snacks and crack seeds, taro chips, etc. There were also a lot of local food mixes such as Hawaiian curry, Adobo, etc. Besides food, there was a section of jewelry, clothes, flasks, etc. A huge variety of items here! We definitely don't need to go back home to get these things as now we know there's an option in San Diego, haha! The owner mentioned that if there were some things missing, we can make a request for them to try get the item. Amazing! Will be bringing my non-Hawaii friends here in the future! read more

808 KINE TINGZ (3.5 stars) It reminds me of a very basic and lesser of an ABC store (if you been to the islands of Hawaii then you know exactly what I'm talking about).. Came to browse! Didn't discover much but expect the expected. - snacks - clothes - kakui shells - fresh leis - frozen food section - memorabilia Looking around for our Luau Party at work looking for giveaway gifts and etc. Saw items to purchased but felt I could get better stuff online. The benefit of this store were the snack options and some shipped frozen foods. Yes they carry Nomz here, candies with the lihing powder, and the Hawaiian Host Chocolates. I felt the chocolates were way overpriced and you can go to your closest World Mart and get a box of chocolates for $3-4 cheaper - Hawaiian Host chocolates are easily acquired these days. They had a 50% off section and when I flipped over a Nomz that was marked off... it was EXPIRED by 2 weeks. Who wants to pay 50% off on expired candy???? On to the frozen food section, some items within were overpriced in my opinion. Their frozen Kalua Pork was way overpriced marked at around $13-14 dollars for what you get. FYI, at one point Sprouts had good Kalua Pork for half that price. They had a variety of Portuguese Sausage which is harder to find on the mainland and went for the small one at a reasonable price of $3.50. They even carried frozen Zippy's - I love Zippy's BUT NOT THAT MUCH to pay $17.99 for a frozen version tv dinner. Sure, I get it. It's a business. But at hiked prices people won't buy and things will eventually go bad. This place gave me some ideas for the luau party and if I should buy here or look elsewhere for comparable pricing. But it's worth a step in if you need some island tingz. read more

I love ordering my leis from Leilani's Attic! It's super easy if you know in advance that you have an event coming up, you can go online and order from their wide selection of leis. They also have leis in store that you can also pick up if you're in a hurry. Advance ordering is what I recommend. When you come into the store they're always so friendly and greet you like Ohana. . I also love coming into the store and watching them stringing the leis. The staff is very friendly and knowledgeable. When I have a large order they offer to help carry out to your car. I also love that they have lots of Hawaiian products you can buy. If you haven't been, you need to come by and see all the Aloha they offer. read more

Also... they have Zippy's chili in the freezer along with the extensive selection of Hawaiian Sun drinks. The service here was so nice, and when placing the order for lei, there was actually a real person to talk to on the phone who was so helpful. My sister and I were in San Diego visiting my son. My girlfriend told me about this place, so my sister and I wanted to check it out. The photos in the website is kind of deceiving. We were a bit disappointed to find out the store was smaller than expected and we thought they would carry more items. Though we did purchase some items, we were sad there wasn't a whole lot more. I went to Leilani's Attic a few days ago. There were signs on the shelves next to the jams, butters and salad dressing that said, buy 2, get the third one free. So I grabbed 3 of the items and when I went to pay for them, all 3 rang up their normal price. The third one should have been free. I told the cashier the third one should be free and if she could change it to free. She said, that is how they rang up. She told me the sale dates and the people who put the prices on the shelves, should have taken the buy 2, get the third one free signs down. I am very disappointed in this store. This is the last time I shop there. To the manager make sure the prices on the shelves are correct and make sure the cash register rings up the correct prices. I also, bought the 70% cacao chocolate and macadamia nut candy. The candy was so old, the chocolate was discolored. I checked the box for the expiration date, but it wasn't on the box or the plastic cover. read more

This is my go to spot for purchasing leis for graduation or special occasions :) it is very easy to online order your leis and schedule a pickup! I know they offer delivery as well, but I have not used that myself. The staff is very friendly and welcoming. The store is always stocked with all the Hawaii goodies-- lots of snacks, aloha print clothes, and aloha bags. Always very clean when I visit the shop. Leilani's Attic has giving me the ability to get the foods from home all the way to the East Coast. I am so greatfull, it started with a search for lau lau, one of the dish my mother would make. My mother, Kahaunani, is a Native Hawaiian Descendent, from the Big Island of Hawaii. Her going home was in 2017, she was 77 years old. Going home to Hawaii is not the same without her, but Leilani's Attic has made it possible for me to enjoy the foods that connect me with her they had everything I remember so I got as much as I could. They over night cold ship so I was able to get lau lau, Portuguese sausage, mana pua, saimin noodles and more. Breakfast in Hawaiin home old school and hopefully still. eggs, Portuguese sausage and calrose with rice. I bought one of every kind of sausage. The original Hawaiian Pride charsui I can wait to use, my mother would the short rib like that. If you want authentic Hawaiian food even what we were eating last century, Leilani's Attic!! This should be zero stars. Leilani's Attic is a Rip-off. Leilani's Attic claims to sell Laser Engraved "Hydro Flasks". But buyer beware, It is NOT a "Hydro Flask" as in the Trademarked Hydro Flask Brand - it is a cheap knock-off version - unlabeled, no-name. They claim "our Hydro Flasks are practical, keeping your drinks cold for more than 12 hours and hot for over 4 hours". NO, IT DOES NOT. I had purchased an engraved 40oz and an engraved 64oz as gifts. The 40oz filled with ice & water lasts less than 8hrs - and that is in an air-conditioned apartment. The 64oz was even worse. If you want pay Name Brand prices for a nicely engraved no-name knock-off uninsulated water bottle - this is the place. If you want a quality product - move on. read more

We ordered flowers for our wedding celebration. I had ordered two crowns and an open ti lei and 50blue loose orchids and 50yellow/res loose orchids. When we went to go pick it up they missed part of our order. The guy who helped us asked when we needed them and we told him the next day. He made a few calls to see if anyone could come in to tie up an open Ti lei for us but it would have taken too long. They resolved the issue with offering us a closed nut and ti leaf lei and a double lei in loo of the messed up order. We were happy to adjust and took the different leis. Still wanted what we ordered but it did work out because I was able to give my mother the double orchid lei. Would purchase again. We came in at around 11am-11:30am and the fridge looked bare, not sure if that's normal or if we got their so late that everything was already taken. So I would order ahead of time if you can. You do get charged for it when you order so keep that in mind. I took a loose blue orchid and sewed it on to my crown with white orchids for the "something blue" and I think it turned out so well!! read more

I ordered a orchid haku (multi with blue) online, 3 weeks before my graduation. The flowers and ti leaf they used for the haku were all fresh when I received it. I picked it up at the store and of course had to get snacks while we were there. The colors of the orchid were really vibrant and stood out in all the photos. They really did a good job on the workmanship. My graduation was a week ago and the haku is still holding together very well. Because of this, I've used it multiple times since and got so many compliments on it. I definitely recommend Leilani's. read more

This was a disappointing experience and we won't order from them going forward. We ordered a stuffed ukulele for our daughter's birthday. The listing said it would be delivered in 2-5 days. I assumed that meant business days, but when it still hadn't arrived. I called and they apologized and said shipping had been delayed by 2 weeks and they offered a refund. I declined and suggested that they may want to change the listing and also that it would have been nice to hear from them that the item was delayed by so long. I waited, no stuffed ukulele nd no communication from them. I asked for and was given a refund. I pre ordered a lei here for my graduation. You can use PayPal on the online system and pick up in person. Everything went smooth as expected. The lei was beautiful and made exactly as I ordered it. When I was walking around with my lei, people constantly stopped and asked me where I got mine, because all other places are selling the regular purple one, while leilani has a much better variety at a much better price. If you were just to grab something from the fridge, it is at least 15 dollars cheaper than the other florists I've checked around town. And they also had a deal, I think it was 60 for 2? I could be wrong, but the price did not inflate because it was graduation season. They also had a bunch of ready made in my university colors, which is just so thoughtful. read more

We went for breakfast at Leilanis Cafe and I was pleasantly surprised that this little shop was next door, as I've eaten at the restaurant before but didn't know that the shop had been open since 2013. The shop offers a ton of Hawaiian goods, including food (like sauces and Hawaiian salt, candies, etc), gifts and clothing (sarongs, dresses, and styles you would normally only see on the island). They even carry Hawaii-made brands like Hawaii Island Creations (no Island Heritage though) so you can find authentic stuff. They even carry fresh flower leis! I saw that they had a bunch of items online on Clearance and asked the friendly staff and they were able to pull out items from the back for me. I bought a two piece bikini and board short set that is made in Hawaii and was marked down to $7.50(!). I tried on a bunch of other board shorts too in the fitting room. They have a ton of ukeleles on display for purchase, including some super tiny ones. There really aren't many Hawaii shops in San Diego, so it's great that Leilanis Attic is now here. I used to have to wait once a year for the big Hawaii festival in Mission Bay to shop for things like this. read more
