We were given three rooms before we had a toilet that worked and a room with one queen and one king. It's dirty. I don't mind it's not new (well worn to say the least) but it has to be clean. Also the coffee in the morning was cold. They brought it from the back room so you know they made it at another time and just put it out for guests to drink. read more

Bryan at the front desk was really great at check in and went over the pet policy thoroughly as well as shuttle information for the casino, and breakfast/coffee info for the morning tomorrow. The two queen, pet friendly room was only about $100, and pet fee was only $10. Room was large and clean and comfy. Really happy with our stay! read more

Not sure why this motel has such high reviews. It's really grungy with old gross carpet and everything's very run-down. The bed was really hard and uncomfortable. The positives were exceptionally nice front-desk staff and it's right by Papa Morgan's restaurant. read more

I attended a conference and this hotel and Riverside Inn were the only lodging in town that accepted cats. I am used to staying at nicer chain type motels so at first I was a little dismayed when I saw the motel and then the room. Although the furniture was fine, it really was a bare bones type of place. The walls and wood trim were scratched and chipped. The pool was locked so I assumed that it was out of order but saw people using it later. I guess you must have to ask. There is a vending machine but it was partially filled and I was unsure how old the products were so I passed. The room did not have a coffee machine but they offer coffee and pastry in the morning. Great big muffins like those from Costco. The room was very clean as indicated by others. The one big flaw and it was huge was the bedding. The pillows must be 5 years old or so. There were two and they were about 2 inches thick. I have never seen pillows this flat. The woman staff member was very nice and helpful. The male owner about average. It is right off the freeway but I faced away from it and heard no noise. It was very quiet. Bottom line, it is an old family owned motel set next to a gas station. The prices were about average for what you got. It sure beat staying at the Motel 6 in Barstow, so it is all a matter of context. To comment on other reviews. They apparently have updated the motel since 2011 as they had a flat screen TV and carpet now. I would stay here again due to the lack of any other real options in town. I didn't check the Riverside Inn but it also looked pretty old. read more

A family member stayed at this establishment. He is a local single father. His son is autistic. He has a service animal for his son for which he was charged a $45 deposit. Their policy states that the fee for an animal is only $10. He was also charged a $100 deposit that upon check out the proprietor notified my uncle that he was keeping all of his deposit for things that were completely outlandish and made up. None of which were documented or itemized on the receipt. He rented the room for two nights and he had his aunt come to watch his autistic son for a few hours. She had her two little dogs with her and they charged him another extra pet fee of $45. The owner kept creating reasons to charge him. Not knowing any better, my uncle was taken advantage of to the most disgusting degree. He feels completely violated. He knew what was happening wasn't right and that's why he asked my advice. After he explained to me what had happened I was out raged. I called the hotel where the owner proceeded to insult me create reasons and excuses why he kept the deposit even going so far as to make up other charges saying that he's owed more money to try to create fear of retaliation. The owner should be ashamed of himself. I'm taken this to the better business bureau. This is not the first I've heard of his shady dealings. This needs to stop. With everything going on in the world today the last thing we need is to worry about people taking advantage of other people when everyone is struggling to survive as it is. And I only give it one star because I can't give it zero and still leave a review. read more

Awesome and quiet little inn. Right off of 5 and in the heart of downtown Canyonville. Spacious room with an AC. Water pressure was as expected and mattresses were a little firm. Coffee and Danish in the morning is awesome!! The pool is pretty clean and well upkept. read more

The place was pretty clean and the rooms are not too bad. However the staff was incredibly rude. The whole crew of mill rights were staying here while fixing the dryer at the mill close by. They would start yelling out in the halls every morning about how gross the occupant is every morning and I was there to hear it all. These men work there butts off every day and we're only there to sleep at night. They very obviously hated their job and let everyone in the building know it. I went to complain to the owner (Brian) about their behavior to the guests all he said was well you guys are on my my property if you don't like it leave. I could not believe it! Also check out is not until eleven but they come by the rooms every morning at 9 and start pounding on all the doors. It says they have breakfast and that is not true either. I would not stay back at this place. The staff is horrible. read more

"You can't judge a book by its cover." ...or its carpeting. That's what I kept saying to myself after we made it into our room at Leisure Inn. The lack of curb appeal made me nervous, but I immediately felt better when I saw the TV screen at the front desk with a number of images from security cameras throughout the property. I knew we'd be safe. The gentleman behind the front desk (Bryan Moon) was very nice and accommodating, giving us our choice between two rooms and explaining the perks of each. While the carpeting is outdated, everything else in our room was VERY CLEAN and comfortable. No dirt/dust on blinds, in light fixtures, or on the dried arrangements on the walls. And, what do you know, they even have a little continental breakfast with better offerings than the competition. (Those yummy blueberry muffins from Costco.) Honestly, the only reason it's missing one star is due to aesthetics - carpeting and curb appeal. But neither of those really distracted from our stay. Safe, clean, great seevice! Nothing fancy, no frills and not much of a continental breakfast but a clean, comfortable and quiet room at a very reasonable price. Usually stay on the North end of town when in Canyonville but all other accommodations were filled up because of the Little River Band concert we were there to attend, even though I tried to make reservations a couple of months in advance. I would definitely stay here again if my other favorite location had no vacancy. read more

This place was a diamond in the rough the exterior is a little worn but it was one of the best wifi services I have had at a hotel... I watched movies way to late... The beds were comfy and the room was large... We even had a kitchenette that was exciting if we would have stayed longer... Staff was extremely courteous and helpful... Great pool and cable was working well... They are minutes from the casino... I didn't go but it looked awesome... Bathroom was accommodating for disabled people... And close to the 5 freeway all in all I had a great nights sleep and a great shower in the morning... read more

Old TV, ancient linoleum floors and so on-don't get me wrong, it's all in good shape just out of date. I broke down 7 miles south in the hot sun with my two dogs and was freaked...I was able to putt to this motel and the staff was so friendly and accommodating, the price wasn't to bad. They are pet friendly. They also directed me to an awesome car shop (Bills towing...I'm reviewing them too). Did I already say how friendly the staff was? George Moon was a nice guy. The place was clean and right off the freeway. The rooms were a good size. We stayed there twice, going and coming. On the way back, I said I preferred a first floor room and he gave us the kitchenette at no extra charge since it was the last one left on the first floor. Good value for the money. I liked how he told us upfront on the phone that breakfast was just hot drinks and a muffin or Danish. read more

This is an old motel. The room was clean, the water was hot, and the location was convenient (just off the freeway). Otherwise everything was old. The shower needed a new surround, the faucets were pitted, the upholstery on the chairs was old and dirty, and the bedding looked to be about 15 years old. Cheap and clean enough for a quick zonk , but not much else. read more

You get exactly what you paid for. Two beds for $65.00 and add a pet for $10 per pet. The place and everything in the room is so old that it looks dirty even though it is clean. Because the place is so old, the walls are paper thin and you can hear the toilet flush and the beds creak from the rooms next door as well as above. As excited as we were to find such an affordable room that accepts pets, next time I will make sure to pay the higher pet fee and stay somewhere else where I can actually get some sleep. read more

Not necessarily the hotels fault but between the heard of elephants walking around in their room ALL night above us, the free way next to the hotel, and the lovely couple who were obviously enjoying their time together WAY too much from 3am-5am (Yes we heard you too) There was no chance of sleeping.
