If you are looking for a comfortable, clean, inexpensive motel/inn to lay your head... this is the spot. We chose due to them being pet friendly, big dog friendly and reasonable pet fee. Room was not cramped and had a little balcony overlooking a really cute park area with a path along a stream. The gal who checked us in, in the afternoon was warm and welcoming telling us about the various amenities. They do a little continental breakfast in the lobby with cold breakfast items plus bagels/English muffins for toasting. Nothing fancy, but accommodations were solid! read more

Cute little Inn with a nice view of the river and bridge in the back. Easy check-in process. We had booked the room with 3 beds however, the room went into renovation and they contacted me right away and offered 2 rooms for the same price. Very responsive to all my questions. Comfortable beds, free wifi, good size TV with a helpful guide, fridge, coffee, tea, and breakfast. Bathroom amenities by Tarrocco, one of my favorite brands. No better than an below average Motel 6. The only thing that was plus was the very friendly staff. The room was dirty (floors), the walls are paper thin, the heater needs the filter changed so the air was terrible, and the bed was so hard that my hips were hurting all night (side sleeper). Made the reservation online, that was easy. Check in was quick. $25 charge for each dog. The clerk was friendly during the check in process. There are rooms facing the street and that is two levels. Down to the backside of the motel it is three levels, some rooms have a river view in back. There is a good sized grass area in back to walk your dog. The property is older but kept up. No carpet in the rooms, I do like that as I feel it is cleaner. Bed was was comfortable. Tv ha lots of channels. Small fridge and microwave in the rooms. HVAC unit is older but worked ok. Close to the highway. Good for a night's stay. read more

Hi I was in room 202 last night.I woke up itching and looking at bed there were lots of small black dots all over the sheets. A few beige larger pieces. That bed seems to have bed bugs or a pet had fleas I left a little before midnight and drove over 3 hours to get home. You should investigate and replace the mattress not just put it in plastic as there were black specs everywhere I will be let the booking site know also. I have never had this experience before. The Riverfront Inn was good for what I needed, an affordable overnight stay on a road trip. Front desk staff was friendly even when I locked myself out of my room twice! A/C wasn't great, but it was good enough. Not sure I'd stay here for a long stay, but for one night it was fine. Walking distance to bars and restaurants downtown. read more

Ann & Heather we're welcoming. My first solo road trip with my dog, 4 &1/2 lb Daisy. Our room was located on the backside of the INN was clean & quiet. Bed was super comfy. There is a very nice dog park by the river. Picnic tables & little trails. Their continental breakfast was at the lobby. Coffee, OJ, yogurt, bagels & English muffins ready to get toasted. Hardball eggs & dry cereals & granola. Nice little variety. I most definitely would return back here when I'm up for my next visit with my bestie. Would highly recommend! read more

We made reservations and our room was ready early. We checked in and the staff was very friendly and personable. Even at midday the coffee in the lobby was quite good in a medium blend. The room is very clean and spacious! A large King bed with a nice mattress, not too soft or firm. We have two large windows facing the river at the back of the hotel. There is a dresser available for unpacking along with a fairly large clothes hanger with plenty of hangers and enough room for both of us. We also have a large mini fridge, small microwave, single cup coffee maker, medium sized television and a hairdryer in the bathroom which is a fair size, not too small with a tub/shower. All in all we are very satisfied for the price, a large clean room with enough amenities to relax, yet spartan enough to not feel crowded. The river view area outside of our room is also very aesthetically pleasing with benches and tables, green grass and shrubs and a pet friendly area that comes with gift bags to pick up what our friends leave behind. We may have found our new 'go to' spot when we come to visit relatives. read more

If I could leave a 0 for stars I would. Dont waste your money. We had a horrible experience and will never be back. I felt more comfortable leaving than staying. We checked in at 430pm which was an hour and a half after normal check in and room still was not ready. Had to wait 15 more minutes. We walked in the room and the comforter had hair on it. Asked them to change the sheets which they did and the new comforter had hair on it too. Barely any toilet paper so had to ask for more of that as well. The air conditioner is not an air conditioner. It's an air blower. Did not work AT ALL!! Everyone in my party woke up drenched in sweat. Went to take a shower in the morning and yup hair in there too. And disgustingly dirty. No one took a shower afraid we'd get athletes foot. This place is a breeding ground for germs and discomfort. You deserve better. My only regret is a did not take pics of the filthy room. Check In was quick and staff was friendly. There is a couple flights of exterior stairs to climb with luggage. Bedding was clean and beds were fairly comfortable. Only one electrical plug on lamp by bedside table and other outlets are hard to find. Outside balconies connect to neighbors, divided by screen. The people next door were on their balcony and hooting and hollering after 9PM. Bathroom needed attention to cleaning details. (See pics). I have stayed many times and always enjoyed this location but the last two times after specifically requesting a room that did not require stairs and noting that I am travelling with a service dog, These facts were given in advance. I was given both times, a room on the 3rd floor with multiple steps. I have had 3 knee replacements and yes, I only have two knees. After staying multiple times each year for the last 3, this will be the last. There is no consideration to the guests, parking is also a nightmare. Thanks but no thanks. read more

Riverfront Inn is an affordable respite just outside downtown Roseburg. I grew up in Roseburg, know the history of the area, and have seen it in some of its worst times. I am beyond excited that this older hotel was bought and now going through some renovations. My room exhibited many positive attributes as a result from the upgrades and hinted at the possibilities once all the updates are completed. I stayed in a ground-floor room with a king sized bed and really liked the modern touches with the many lamps, complimentary toiletries and wonderful towels. The bed and pillows were very comfortable, and I slept well despite the noisy neighbors and early risers. The towels were very soft and fluffy, surprising me at their luxuriousness. The garden is a great attribute and terrific to grab morning coffee at the drive thru Dutch Bros next door (no walk-ups) and relax in watching the fog lift. My room had excellent water pressure, however, water from both the sink and shower smelled like mildew so I hope that is remedied in further updates. Also the heater's fan is as loud as a freight train and I suffered the chilly November temps in the morning in order to turn the heater off during the night. Hopefully that's upgraded to a quieter model in the future. The continental breakfast is served by special order in the lobby, and due to COVID there were limited offerings and nowhere to sit. I opted out of this service since to carry the food back to my room was far too inconvenient (around the corner, down the hill out back). Overall, this was a nice locally-owned hotel that holds a lot of promise. I enjoyed the location of this hotel, and I'm looking forward to my stay there next time. read more

This place is a cute little motel that has been completely refurbished and has a beautiful view behind the building, very green... The rooms were totally modern and very clean. Shampoo and soap smelled awesome it was some kind of orange scent... Place looks great with pergo-esque wood floors. Very friendly and professional staff and a decent breakfast with selected items. You can choose and they bag it up for you at whatever hour. You want to pick it up during the breakfast time frame. We will one 1000% stay here again because it is the best place and it was a good price. Great coffee too in the morning and several teas and a really cute little coffee bar in the lobby.... You couldn't really ask for anything more in an area that felt somewhat remote between seattle and sacramento. We hope we do another road trip and we'll be back! read more

The first thing to keep in mind is this is an older hotel. They offer discounts for AAA and AARP. They do have rooms that are connected for larger groups. The floors are updated with laminate. The rest of the room is fairly up-to-date, except the shower. It's a small shower, but the water pressure is good and the water gets hot rather quickly. The mattresses are comfortable with clean bedding. The refrigerator and freezer are quite cold and the microwave worked as expected. The free wi-fi is somewhat weak and the tv satellite is iffy on certain channels. The staff is kind and inviting. There is a Denny's across the street and a Dutch Bros. and Chevron behind the hotel. There is a path that can be taken down to the river. However, locals advise against it and refer to it as "the transient hub." Luckily we could not see that from our room. read more

This Inn gets my five star review due to Heather, in the office the night that we stayed at the Inn. Our room didn't have a hair dryer, so I went to the office and asked Heather about getting one. Heather couldn't find one in housekeeping, so she actually called her daughter at home and the daughter brought a hair dryer for my wife to use! That goes above and beyond for guest service. The other greast thing is the the breakfast starts at 4AM! We were getting up early to get to Crater Lake for sunrise (2 hour+ drive), and assumed we'd miss their breakast. We went to breakfast right at 4AM, which was a time saver for us that morning. read more

Probably a good pet hotel seen some dogs and dog walking areas. Covid info- You have to order breakfast on a form and your pick up time in the morning which is nice. Super low budget. You can tell they cut corners wherever they can. The A/C had the "clean filter" light on, and it kept me up the whole night cycling on and off every 2 minutes. The room never got to the set temperature. My wife and I were roasting all night. The free breakfast was a joke. You have to fill out a form and turn it in the night before so you can pick it up at a set time. Plus all the items look like they were stolen hospital food. Curtains don't black out the light fully, so expect to get up at sunrise(not that that's a horrible thing). Definitely don't recommend this place for the price. First of all, this is not a luxury hotel. Also, you do not pay luxury hotel prices. This is a nice place to stay and offers everything you need. From the outset, the Riverfront Inn was outstanding. On the online reservation form, they ask if there is anything special that would make your stay better. I told them I would appreciate a room with a nice view of the river from the balcony. Guess what we got... the most EXCELLENT view from our upper floor balcony! The back gardens were well manicured, with a meandering path to the beautiful slow moving river. All of the staff were pleasant and accommodating. We had trouble with our TV in the evening. The front desk gal ran up and fixed it on the spot. The next morning, I asked where the iron and ironing board were, and they were immediately brought to our room within two minutes. The beds were very comfortable, and the room was really clean. They provide all of the usual nice toiletries as well as plenty of fluffy white towels. Also, in-room coffee, clean microwave and fridge. The breakfast was nice but fairly simple. Pre-order from a varied list (like in a hospital), and pick up at whatever time you request. It is there in the office, all pre-packaged and ready to pick up and enjoy on your private balcony! I only wish there was an elevator. read more

This establishment uses misleading imagery and information to promote its presence online. We missed the hotel several times bc the front of the hotel looks nothing like the photos online. It's right off a very busy intersection. The pool is located on the corner of the intersection with a fence around it. How relaxing? The sound of motor vehicles passing by. The room has virtually no closet and the sheets weren't clean. Don't be fooled by the pretty photography bc once you get to the Riverside Inn you WILL BE ABSOLUTELY DISAPPOINTED. To sum it up this place is trash!!! Check out my own REAL photos of this dump. Oh.....you have to order food the night before, grab it and then eat it in your room. A very nice option; clean and well maintained with a lovely view to the Southwest. I was traveling and needed a place to stop in for a long remote meeting and, after checking out other places, this was the best charm-to-dollar ratio. As it happened, though, their internet connection was out and I completely whiffed on my meeting. Normally this would result in a two-star review, but... ...the management (Jimmie in particular) were all so contrite and helpful (spending a couple of hours trying to resolve the issue *just* for me) that I'm happy to give them four stars, and I'm certain to be back next time I'm in town. read more

Be forewarned, they allow pets at this place. We had a puppy in the room next door that you could hear all...night....long. I called the front desk and they spoke to the owners but that didn't stop the puppy howls. All...night....long. We would have left, but the whole area was booked due to an event in Eugene. The setting is very beautiful but the rooms are very spartan. No USB ports for charging. No closet, just an industrial pipe that comes out of the wall with hangers. Interesting. Someone's been watching HGTV. It's like a no budget dorm room. Again, there were not enough outlets for charging stuff. You can hear every single person in the whole entire building stomping around. The shower was tiny, and the water pressure hateful. Do you enjoy being sprayed with a firehouse at point blank range while standing naked in an old timey telephone booth? Great, you'll love taking a showering here. Also, no vent fan. Is that legal? Oh you do have a prison window to open in there. Nice. The toilet was super tiny. Like comically tiny. I didn't know they made toilets that small. It was the perfect size for my toddler, but not good for an adult. On a positive note, the room was clean. But our room was not ready when we arrive so we had to drive around for an hour. No excuse for that. Never again. read more

For a little inn off the highway, this small property hits a high in every category! The rooms are clean and beds fresh and comfy. A fridge and microwave help when you need to store your snacks or have a quick bite. The bath towels are fluffy and plentiful. Hot water and good water pressure in the spotless shower. The lamps in the rooms are even new and stylish. Our room opens in back to a pleasant, clean balcony overlooking the river and there is a little park you could wander down to and have your meals. If you wish you can take a dip in the pleasant, clean, albeit small pool. (Be aware that anyone from the street can see the pool.) Best of all are the people. I have never been greeted or helped so kindly as by Becky, who checked us in. We didn't have many questions or needs, but she graciously answered and helped with all. It felt genuine. The included breakfast was ready on time and the morning crew was also quite pleasant. Skip the Holiday Inn (next door) and stay here! read more

We stayed at the Riverfront Inn at the beginning of the month. only stayed one night. the room was clean and convenient to our location needed. Their continental breakfasts leave a lot to be desired though. When we left the next morning, we had forgotten to pack our phone and watch chargers left them on the bed in the room. We realized this upon arriving back home. I immediately called the Riverfront back and informed them. They told me that they would mail them to my address the next day. Here it is the end of the month and I have called them repeatedly to please mail them to me. Even offered to pay postage. Spoke to several different people who assured me they would be mailed. They all told me that they would have the manager get them mailed. I am still waiting. So beware! If you stay here, DO NOT LEAVE ANY BELONGINGS IN YOUR ROOM. You won't get them back. read more

I wanted to love this hotel. Unfortunately, it was a mediocre stay. I didn't feel safe in my hotel room. I arrived to my room to find the back door to the outside was unlocked as well as the adjoining room door was unlocked. I locked them both after discovering this. Traveling as a single woman it was a bit unnerving. The entire evening and next 24 hours the tv from the next door neighbors could be heard and the poor lady hacked and coughed the entire night. I felt bad for her....the walls are so thin I could hear their phone conversations as well as everything else. Meanwhile early this morning the alarm clock in the other room next to me had no residents but the alarm clock started beeping which lasted a few hours before it finally stopped. I had hope the stay here would be peaceful and restful. The walls are very thin. Bring earplugs if you plan to stay. Positives- The river view is lovely and the bed was comfortable. read more

Be very careful when you book a room at this place. The exterior photos that are displayed are not of the Riverfront Inn but rather of the hotel next door. You are not booking at a modern hotel. The Riverfront is a cinder block building most likely constructed somewhere in the 1950s. They don't show that. The rooms are on the small side and the air conditioning is a nightmare. It cycles on and off with a roar that prohibits sleep. There is a small swimming pool, but no other amenities. Yes, it is inexpensive compared to other hotels/motels but the photo scam is at best unethical and at worst a case of fraud. The only positive I can speak to is that the staff is very polite. We stayed here twice on our way to and from Washington state from the OC. The rooms were clean and neat, having been upgraded at some point (the hotel itself is older). The price for a room with a view of the river was very reasonable. The staff were friendly and helpful. And they do a decent complimentary breakfast. The surrounding area is a bit run down and we had a heck of a time finding a decent place to eat in the city where the wait staff wasn't rude and the food was prepared correctly. New furniture, flooring, paint, etc. Balcony view rooms overlooking the river Covid protocols are followed. Cons: Checked in at 5pm. Switched location of original room but the room we switched to was not yet made up. I would think all units would be made up by check in time or at least by 5pm. Only had to wait about 15 min. for it, but I'm not sure if they rushed because they knew we were waiting for it. Housekeeping staff was nice and were right on it when we reported that the room was not yet made up. Property is basic cement block construction - maybe 1960's - kind of "blah" Gnats from the river will swarm into your room if you leave your doors open around dusk or after. Transients camping by the river. Not on the hotel property, but adjacent. Although the rooms are refurbished, the bathrooms were left with old shower tiles (with the Travelodge Sleepy Bear character) and sink surrounds. So...bathrooms not attractive, but clean nonetheless. Rooms are a bit on the small side, but not cramped. Breakfast exhibited no creativity, but they did have the "motel-basic" items. Pool area was not yet open for the season (opens in May, I was there in April), but the weather was warm enough for it. The town almost shutters up on Sundays - main street of town felt like a twilight zone episode. Nice little town, though. read more

Update to my last review..... If I could give lower than a 1 star I would. I complained to the Manager, Amanada, the morning of our departure and she mentioned that she would give us a refund for the room, so I held back on telling our full experience. The morning after cramming all of us in a single king bed I ran a bath for my son and when I drained the bath the entire room flooded and got all of our luggage wet. I honestly thought this was grounds for a full refund that Amanda told me we would get. However, I had to go through Expedia to request my refund and after a minimum of 20 phone calls to get to the correct department to request a refund we ended up only getting approved from Amanda for a 15% refund (that I still haven't gotten) totaling less than $20! These people do not care about you they just want you to believe that their hotel is worth the money. You WILL BE DISSAPOINTED by just the smell alone! From the appearance of the crack head night girl, it could be drugs we smelled or just rat shit. The air conditioner ran all night with very little cooling, and we had to swat gnats out of our face anytime we were in the bathroom as they were coming up out of ALL the drains. Absolutely disgusted by this establishment and I DO NOT recommend this place at all! Don't be fooled by the riverfront view either because it is just a view of a bunch of homeless people! read more
