We made reservations and our room was ready early. We checked in and the staff was very friendly and personable. Even at midday the coffee in the lobby was quite good in a medium blend. The room is very clean and spacious! A large King bed with a nice mattress, not too soft or firm. We have two large windows facing the river at the back of the hotel. There is a dresser available for unpacking along with a fairly large clothes hanger with plenty of hangers and enough room for both of us. We also have a large mini fridge, small microwave, single cup coffee maker, medium sized television and a hairdryer in the bathroom which is a fair size, not too small with a tub/shower. All in all we are very satisfied for the price, a large clean room with enough amenities to relax, yet spartan enough to not feel crowded. The river view area outside of our room is also very aesthetically pleasing with benches and tables, green grass and shrubs and a pet friendly area that comes with gift bags to pick up what our friends leave behind. We may have found our new 'go to' spot when we come to visit relatives.

Very nice little spot! Actually not that little, but it feels small. Rooms are very clean, functional. Few minor things that could be updated, but for the price - this hotel is a bargain! Very friendly and helpful staff. Beautiful view on back side of hotel. Also very pet friendly - which is what I initially searched for. I'd go back for sure

Riverfront Inn is an affordable respite just outside downtown Roseburg. I grew up in Roseburg, know the history of the area, and have seen it in some of its worst times. I am beyond excited that this older hotel was bought and now going through some renovations. My room exhibited many positive attributes as a result from the upgrades and hinted at the possibilities once all the updates are completed. I stayed in a ground-floor room with a king sized bed and really liked the modern touches with the many lamps, complimentary toiletries and wonderful towels. The bed and pillows were very comfortable, and I slept well despite the noisy neighbors and early risers. The towels were very soft and fluffy, surprising me at their luxuriousness. The garden is a great attribute and terrific to grab morning coffee at the drive thru Dutch Bros next door (no walk-ups) and relax in watching the fog lift. My room had excellent water pressure, however, water from both the sink and shower smelled like mildew so I hope that is remedied in further updates. Also the heater's fan is as loud as a freight train and I suffered the chilly November temps in the morning in order to turn the heater off during the night. Hopefully that's upgraded to a quieter model in the future. The continental breakfast is served by special order in the lobby, and due to COVID there were limited offerings and nowhere to sit. I opted out of this service since to carry the food back to my room was far too inconvenient (around the corner, down the hill out back). Overall, this was a nice locally-owned hotel that holds a lot of promise. I enjoyed the location of this hotel, and I'm looking forward to my stay there next time.

This place is a cute little motel that has been completely refurbished and has a beautiful view behind the building, very green... The rooms were totally modern and very clean. Shampoo and soap smelled awesome it was some kind of orange scent... Place looks great with pergo-esque wood floors. Very friendly and professional staff and a decent breakfast with selected items. You can choose and they bag it up for you at whatever hour. You want to pick it up during the breakfast time frame. We will one 1000% stay here again because it is the best place and it was a good price. Great coffee too in the morning and several teas and a really cute little coffee bar in the lobby.... You couldn't really ask for anything more in an area that felt somewhat remote between seattle and sacramento. We hope we do another road trip and we'll be back!

The first thing to keep in mind is this is an older hotel. They offer discounts for AAA and AARP. They do have rooms that are connected for larger groups. The floors are updated with laminate. The rest of the room is fairly up-to-date, except the shower. It's a small shower, but the water pressure is good and the water gets hot rather quickly. The mattresses are comfortable with clean bedding. The refrigerator and freezer are quite cold and the microwave worked as expected. The free wi-fi is somewhat weak and the tv satellite is iffy on certain channels. The staff is kind and inviting. There is a Denny's across the street and a Dutch Bros. and Chevron behind the hotel. There is a path that can be taken down to the river. However, locals advise against it and refer to it as "the transient hub." Luckily we could not see that from our room.

If I could give this place 0 stars, I would!!!!!…read more I took a road trip with my young son to roseburg for a fun weekend getaway and to visit the wildlife safari. After being on the road for hours, we approached the hotel, I literally said "I hope this isn't our hotel." It was. We arrived and immediately noticed the extremely run down, dated, and dirty building. The grounds have not been well kept whatsoever. My son and I both felt uneasy. We made our way to the lobby to check-in and I instantly had a pit in my stomach once I saw the front desk guy, Johnny. There was something about him that seemed so unnerving. My son tightly held my hand and we took our place in line. In front of us was a very sweet older gentlemen and the way Johnny spoke to him made me instantly want to just turn around and walk out. The older man said "no, thanks! I won't be needing that!" And Johnny gave him a nasty look and shoved the card towards him while saying "ummm this is your key." The old man said "oh, I'm sorry. I thought this was the WiFi code." With a blank stare. I could tell the older man felt embarrassed. It was our turn and we approached Johnny, still feeling uneasy. He glared at my son and I was so confused. I seriously was like "what the hell is going on around here?!?" I told Johnny we were checking in. He was unbelievably rude and treated me like I was unintelligent and like I was his greatest inconvenience, which I found to be quite funny and was mostly just confused while having a "there's no way this is actually happening" thought. He asked us if we wanted a room upstairs or downstairs, my son excitedly said "upstairs, please!" He ROLLED HIS EYES at my son. Gave us a room downstairs. Why did he even ask?!?!? I saw my son physically cower and looked at me for help. At this point, I'm becoming extremely frustrated and want to find a way out. I was LIVID and said "great. So helpful." As I walked away. He said to the rest of the guests in line "what did that b***h just say to me?!?!" We picked up our pace because he seemed so out of control, I was genuinely afraid he would come after us!!! I take my key and we walked hesitantly to our room. Upon arrival to the room, we noticed it looked NOTHING like the photos. Small, cramped, dirty, dust on the curtains, stains on the floor. The bed squeaked when my son sat on it, the bathroom was microscopic, and the toilet was stained yellow. The curtains were so thin, I could see people staring at us as they walked by!!! I did not take pictures because I didn't even want to sit down!! At this point, I knew we had to get out of there. My son was exhausted and became emotional while telling me he didn't feel safe there. We finally found another place to go and bravely made our way back to the front desk. I calmly told Johnny that we didn't feel safe and I'd like a full refund. Thankfully, he gave me the full refund, but someone I assumed to also be working there came into the lobby soaking wet from the pool with no shirt on and said "what's her problem????" Right in front of us. Johnny said "she doesn't feel safe" in a mocking and condescending tone. We quickly got to our car and left. This is probably the biggest case of false advertising that I have ever seen!!! The lobby looks NOTHING like the pictures. They tried to make the lobby seem spacious and clean, it was not. By any means. The whole experience was awful. Thank god we were able to find a better hotel. Please please trust me when I say do not go here and do not take your children here!!!!! Especially if you're alone as a woman with small children!!!!

Oh boy, staff is incredibly friendly here so this low rating is not a reflection of that!…read more The hotel itself is the low score. One elevator only, not only is it incredibly slow, it makes a weird grinding noise when the doors closing, like it's off track.... My room key kept deactivating (4 times)so imagine having to go all the way back downstairs after realizing so (I'm on the fourth floor), i'm visiting here for work, so I was exhausted and the elevator was taking so long I opted for the stairs. There happen to be heavy rains, and whether there is no gutter or it's damaged, because my window had just massive waterfall rain. Not sure if the window is not sealed properly or if there is something wrong with the AC unit as the floor underneath became completely soaked. Because of the storm as well, the TV cable cut out, I've stayed in many hotels and many different weather situations, and I have never had the TV go out with a note on the screen it's not working because of the rain.... When I used the air unit it made a loud clicking noise the wouldn't stop so I just had to make do without air flow. Odd that there was no body wash in the room and water gets a little warm definitely not hot and takes ages to even get to that level. Same with the sink, probably a little bit worse actually, I don't believe I ever got warm water. There are no "do not disturb" signs, I didn't sleep very well as I was super anxious that house keeping might try to walk in LOL. More of a personal issue I suppose, I guess what's weirder is housekeeping, didn't even enter my room when I was gone, which they would normally do in hotels if you don't have a "do not disturb" sign. Walls are so thin, I could hear my neighbors cell phone vibrate on desk and their child laughing. Thankfully their visit was not super long. Wouldn't stay here again, though
