Over the past few weeks, I have been researching and looking at Jeep Wrangler Unlimited vehicles. Three days ago we stopped in at Leith to look at a Big Bear Edition that was displayed on their website. We were disappointed to see we were minutes late as the vehicle had just been sold. Quincy Steele, our salesman, told us if we were interested in a Big Bear Edition he would get one for us. I told him I did not want to wait a month to order one. He quickly inquired what we wanted on the vehicle and said "I will find you one somewhere on the east coast." He called me the next day explaining he had found me a Big Bear Edition. We worked out the details and it is sitting in my driveway today!!!! I have purchased over 15 vehicles in my life and this was the easiest process! No stress, no pressure and quick service. We walked in the dealership this morning and 45 minutes later drove off in our new Jeep Wrangler!!! Quincy and the team at Leith had everything waiting on us when we walked in the door. What disappointed me was that when I asked about it, I was simply told no and offered no alternative or solution. They just let me leave. Absolutely the worst place to go! , they take no responsibility for any wrong doing , i came to them 3 times complaining my car was overhearing beacause they changed the thermostat 6 months prior to this , the first two times they sent me away saying there mechanic couldn't get it to overheat even tho i seen it overheat everyday i drove it just didn't fully over heat , just for me to video record it the 3rd time so they had no choice but to change it then just to tell my head gasket blew from consistently over heating a 5700 repair they tried to say i was responsible for , even tho i was crying wolf the whole time that my car was over heating and couldnt get a business like JEEP of wendell that i thought assisted the world but really assist themselves. The service department is unresponsive and does not do good work. After over $4k of work to replace a hose on my husband's Jeep, he received his vehicle with loose tire lug nuts, a new check engine light within a few days, loose hoses and clamps, and something dripping from the engine that was never a problem before and now the service department can't figure out where it is coming from. Ridiculous! Sales staff offered $1k for the vehicle before the repair or $5K if repaired. The vehicle has a lot of miles from highway travel but has been meticulously maintained. They obviously were trying to take advantage of somebody who was quoted a large amount to fix their vehicle. Do NOT recommend!! read more

VERY poor finance department. Went to purchase a used 2016 wrangler and got quoted close to $900/month with a 72 month loan. Doing the math and after reaching out to a financial advisor, the APR that they are asking is 30%! Along with the 30% APR, they are including the difference in buy out costs of my husbands brand new 2022 truck that they will buy out and get their money's well worth off of- so we are doing them a favor by even giving them this brand new truck in exchange for a used vehicle with a kelly blue book value of $20,000 (But being sold for $27k). Now, my husband does not have great credit- I understand the price will be higher due to that. However, we are going to have a co-signer with top credit and even once that was mentioned, the finance department said the best price will most likely be in the 600's in that case. Again, the APR will then be close to around 20%+ in that situation. When I use multiple online loan calculators, as well as counseling from a financial advisor, the cost should realistically be in the $400's at most. So if you would like to pay 30% APR on a car- this place is for you! I am attaching the "deal" they gave us for proof. Absolutely do not buy a vehicle from Leith. They are a brand you cannot trust. Bought two vehicles from them with in two days and the first week both are in the shop at other dealers to get fixed. Took my 2014 Wrangler for a long list of service and repairs in February and was pleasantly surprised at the level of quality of the work. I know dealerships tend not to be the cheaper way to go, but given some of the repairs I really wanted OEM parts and a qualified Jeep technician to do the work. The final bill was well under what I expected and one significant repair I was told wouldn't be necessary saving a chunk of money. I was extremely impressed to be texted a video link showing me the Jeep disassembled and walking me through what needed to be done. Ryan was an all star for communicating with me and ensuring the work was done right. The only downside was an inability to reach them by telephone but the regular texts helped me stay informed. I wasn't thrilled to be surprised by the finance team's $598.00 "dealer documentation fee". It was like they were throwing it in hoping I didn't see it. I had to inquire about it. My experience with Leith Chrysler Dodge Jeep RAM in Wendell was terrible. I have dealt with an employee of Leith Raleigh in the past and received great service, so I called the Wendell, NC location and asked them to transfer the vehicle there. The team was so eager to make a sell themselves, that they nearly begged me to come to their lot and promised the same level of service as the Raleigh location. After being told "so many appointments are being booked to see this vehicle today", and setting up a verbal appointment, I drove 4.5 hours to this location. Upon arrival, the SUV is sitting in the front ready for me to test drive. This vehicle was the dirtiest thing ever, inside, and out. A drive that far allowed enough time for a quick cleaning if nothing else. Long story short, the employees (Doug & David) were very rude, making slick remarks, and not meeting the same level of service as the other location. As I would ask Dave questions relating to finance (not all negotiating related), he would respond "They aren't going to do that." without attempting to ask the finance department. There was zero effort put towards meeting my needs. After being there for many hours, I politely asked for the car to be sent to the other dealership. A representative from the other location called Doug and he agreed to send it over. Then prolonged the process and never sent it. I had to go to the Raleigh location and purchase the vehicle without being able to take it home. I was told the guys at Wendell would detail the car and have it delivered by Maserati Raleigh. The next day, the Raleigh location called and said that Wendell was delaying the process of cleaning the vehicle, I felt as if this was their petty revenge. Leith Maserati had to get the car detailed and then meet me which left me waiting in an unfamiliar area for hours. I will never recommend business with Leith Wendell, but Maserati did everything they could to put me first as the customer. read more

Stay away! My truck broke down leaking trans fluid next door to Leith Dodge while on vacation. After 3 days in a hotel and $1100.00 they said it was fixed. I saw the kid that worked on it and didn't like what I saw. They obviously didn't take it for a test drive. I got 5 miles away and it was 5 quarts low again and had to take it to another shop. I've tried to contact the management and they will not call me back. The other shop on the other hand call to make sure I got home and called a month later to check on me. Stay away! read more

Great place to buy a vehicle. They are extremely helpful, their customer service is off the charts, and they don't throw a bunch of high-pressure sales pitches at you. Xavier and Skiler helped me out on getting my new ride, both were friendly, knowledgable, and worked with me and my crazy schedule. The dealership gave me a great offer on my trade-in and the price of the new vehicle without a bunch of haggling and back-and-forth. And again, no high-pressure BS or sales tactics that seems to be the norm these days when shopping for a new car. The dealership needs more loaner cars. If you have to drop off a car there for service you have to drive to Enterprise to get a car. It was such horrible experience at Enterprise as the car was originally supposed to be ready for me at the dealership. Hour waiting at Enterprise and rude rep. enough for me to call complain to Enterprise about this experience. The lady even took care of customers that came in after me! If you have to drop car at service and get loaner insist the car is there at the dealership and avoid the Knightdale Enterprise like the plague if they ask you to go there to pick up your rental aka loaner. It is not the dealership fault, but the owner of the place is too cheap to give his customer's the convenience of having loaner cars there for you. Over 100 cars there and they wont loan one to the customer that just bought a brand new car 3 weeks ago and already having issues with it? WOW! My first car payment this week and my car been in service for two days because this location is very short staffed in their service department too. Still waiting on it. For full disclosure, I did not end up purchasing from this dealership, but that's only because I chose a smaller truck that they did not carry. I came in here after leaving the Westgate dealership looking for a similar truck that I had seen there and was interested in. I talked mainly to the sales manager, but these guys were easy to work with. They spent time looking for the truck I wanted with the features I was looking for, and did not push me at all. Even though I did not end up with a Ram truck, I would return to this dealership if I decided to purchase another Jeep in the future. I traded in my Wrangler for the truck I now own, but I'm sure I will want another one in the future :-) I loved that Jeep... haha. read more

One of the worse dealerships I've ever dealt with after buying there. Having problems with tires cupping out after 7,000 miles on our 300S and they still haven't done anything with it just a lot of excuses and run around. So my wife thought she might try and trade it off got the appraisal back and a car that still looks New was given a rough trade in appraisal. I am a person that is normally loyal and a repeat customer and will send business to that dealership but at this point and time I will not do either. I was inquiring online for information about the Jeep Renegade and almost right away I received an email from Caroline Peevey internet sales manager for Leith Wendell. I test drove at another location but her due diligence and follow up made me want to work with her. Even though I wasn't quite ready to buy yet she kept me in mind and would drop me an email to see if I was still interested every month or so in a non threatening way. When I was ready she worked hard with the help of in house salesman Xavier Russ to find exactly what I was looking for and for the price I was willing to spend. My ankle is broken so when the day came to get the Renegade, Xavier got the car from the dealership it was at drove it to our house and my husband drove it to Wendell while Xavier explained features to me from the back seat! Throughout the rest of the process at the dealership was great. I loved the small atmosphere and everyone there helped us. Caroline was great in person and made sure I got floor mats that didn't come with the car. Warren the sales manager worked with us until we were happy with the lease and I can't say enough about Xavier. He stayed with us until we drove away knowing all about the car and did the paperwork with us answering all of our thousands of questions. I brought my 09 jeep wrangler in for a repair because of a whining noise when I decelerated. Quoted me $4100 to repair!!!!!!!!! They said I needed new gears in my differential. I can buy a complete axle assembly for $2000 and thats for an upgraded aftermarket one for rock crawling. I wouldn't trust these people. read more

Doug Durham and Xavier listened to my criteria ahead of time - found the exact car I wanted and had it waiting for me which showed me they understood that my time was valuable. They offered me options for financing and helped me through the process when I chose USAA. Was talking to a online sales assistant named Scott Godwin about getting a Jeep trackhawk. We talk get some numbers about trading in my vehicle and numbers on the Jeep. He passes me to Hannah wells who sets up a appointment a day later. I drive 3 hours to the dealer to see the manager mike about the Jeep. When I get to the counter I say Isabel a appointment to see the Jeep. He laughs at me and says we sold that already. And I said I have a email saying to come make a deal on it and told him who I talked to and he told I've never heard of those people that helped me. He said something to the other manager Doug I think, they chuckled and said well sense you drove this far I can sell you a Durango. I leave pretty upset and proceed to email the people I was talking and give them a call. The lady I was emailing isn't even there. I get transferred to Scott and he says the vehicle is showing it's available. So I stop in a parking lot for 20mins and then tells me oh sorry it sold we didn't update are system. To start off I do not want to direct this review to my sales person Eddie. He done a great job trying to work with me. My concern with my experience here last night was that I only wanted to go in the first place just to check out the car, but then he wanted to see what numbers he could do for me. I am a first time buyer so I was going to get my mom to co sign for me as well so I knew that would affect the pricing. The reason my experience was bad is because after being there for 5 hours and my sales guy going back and forth to his manager, there was no negotiation. The first time I told him those payments were way out of my budget, he comes back with only $500 added to my trade, (which still had me in negative equity on it). Every other time it was him showing me different terms and even trying to put me in a different car. The other car was not one that I would want to spend more than $500 a month on, and a car I didn't want personally. But after hours and hours there the price of their car stayed the same and what they offered me on my trade stayed the same. I wish they would've just told me I couldn't get there so I could've gone home instead of telling their sales guy to keep pushing me and pushing me. By the end of my night I was pissed honestly. I sale cars myself and I don't feel that's how a negotiation works. I understand they were trying to get the sales guy a nice big gross deal, but if the payment wasn't where I wanted it, after the third trip back, they should've just said that was their best price so I could go home. read more

I takes a lot for me to go this far, but this was one of the worst customer service experiences I have ever experienced. They don't even deserve the one star I had to choose here. I wish I had found the other bad reviews first before visiting as I wouldn't have to write this. I would say that the salesman (Xavier Russ) did a great job and everything went well all the way through the financing. However, it took them 3 hours to get the vehicle, which was located at another dealership that is 30 minutes away. When the vehicle finally arrived, there was no sense of urgency in getting it inspected, cleaned, and in my hands. I sat in the lobby for 45 minutes and was ignored by management. I became really upset when I saw the manager and several other salesmen watching ESPN and talking about football. When I asked for the status of my car I was thanked for my patience as they continued to discuss football. When they finally brought the vehicle to me, it had not been cleaned, still had stickers/tags in the vehicle and sticker residue on the passenger window. We finally had to leave since it was getting late. I contacted the dealership the next day and left a message for the sales manager, which took him 2 days to call me back. The sales manager was apologetic and promised to make it right by picking my vehicle up to get it detailed and fill it up with gas; which was an inconvenience since I work 35 minutes away from Wendell. A date and time was agreed upon for this to happen. However, on the day and time they were supposed to pick up my vehicle, they did not show. It was not until another sales manager called me about a different issue that I told them that my car still had not been taken care of. When they finally did show up, I again politely mentioned my displeasure with the customer service and for the effort I had to go through to get my vehicle right. I mentioned they throw in the Simoniz package to make up for their customer service failures, only to be told no. I really feel the problem with Leith is in the management and their lack of dedication for customer service. I have not received a call from management since my vehicle was cleaned to see if I was satisfied or to ask me if there was anything else they could do. This is my second Dodge vehicle, and my husband has used Leith's service department. However, I have no plans on returning to Leith for ANY reason. I am really disappointed with the way I was treated and with the lack of effort in their customer service. I have purchased many cars and I have never been treated like this. I do not recommend this place and will go somewhere else for future maintenance and purchases. read more
