First phone call was outgoing from me. Second and third is her calling me twice to give me nonsense I don't have time for.

An older lady with an accent who wouldn't give up her name at the front desk was super rude and was not helpful by any means.. she was super unprofessional and completely misunderstood everything I was asking for. It sounded like she did not know a thing about a thing. I hung up because I was not going to tolerate anyone's attitude. She then called me back 3 times to continue arguing from +1 (919) 469-2699 . I will not tolerate attitudes from anyone, sorry not sorry. She's supposed to provide a service, not demands. Someone needs to speak with her because it doesn't give a good look to the store.

One of the photos Philip Marquis captured on his phone of the 911S I flew from California to North Carolina to buy.

When I write reviews, I tend to get carried away so if you want the Cliff's Notes version, just scroll down to the last paragraph. Shopping for a Certified Pre-Owned low-mileage Porsche 911 S (991 body style) takes patience and is not like shopping for a pre-owned BMW or Mercedes-Benz -- where the availability and choices are orders of magnitude more. In my quest to buy my mid-life crisis car, I was very particular in the options I had to minimally have, the exterior and interior colors, the price, and last but not least, the mileage. Moreover, Porsche 911 annual production figures is quite low compared to more heavily produced cars like BMW, MB, Lexus, Acura, etc. On average, each California Porsche dealership had 2-3 pre-owned 911S's in the 991 body style to choose from and from that list, most did not fit my criteria (usually, they all had more miles than I wanted). I decided not to limit myself and started searching all over the U.S. (even then, the pool of cars was limited. After weeks of searching, one of my saved search queries on one of the car sites yielded a new listing posted only an hour prior to my search. This was a posting from Leith Porsche in Cary, NC and the car had almost everything I wanted, low 10k miles, and was in a less common color (aqua blue metallic). The listing was so new, they didn't even take pictures of the car yet as they just got it in as a trade-in from a customer that bought the car new 3 years prior from their dealership. I headed over to their website in hopes I could find some photos but none were available on their website either. Later that evening, I submitted my contact info through their website, indicating I was interested in that particular car and that I wanted to see some photos of it. The next morning, I was contacted by Phillip Marquis who sent me clear photos he personally took of the car from his phone since the dealership photos hadn't been done yet. Following the photos, Philip patiently answered all the questions I had over the phone about the car, the process of buying a car in NC and shipping it to CA, financing, etc. Since I was not local, we worked out all the details over the phone, email, and text messages until I felt comfortable enough to fly out to Raleigh, NC. With a $1,000 credit card deposit and purchase agreement, the car was held for me and I flew out there. The Leith Porsche dealership was very easy to find, nested alongside a few other dealerships. Upon arrival from my red-eye flight, I was greeted by the very friendly Philip Marquis, who led me to the refreshment area as I was in need of coffee. He then showed me the car and went over other details with me. I liked it. The condition was just as he described it to me over the phone. I then worked with Alex Wilson for the financing and paperwork. Before I flew to NC, I got myself approved for a pre-owned car loan through my bank (Bank of America) for 2.49% 60 months. Alex was able to get me financed for 2.29% for the same 60 month period through my bank. Fascinating. 2.29% for a used car for 60 months! (YMMV, of course -- my credit score was 830 at the time). Anyhow, Alex was very professional as well. After everything was completed, Philip made arrangements with the auto transportation broker the dealership uses exclusively. At my request and expense, Philip also arranged installation of a front end clear bra with the guy Leith Porsche uses for all their cars/customers that want to protect their cars from rock chips. Between the time I left to the time I received the car, Philip has kept in contact with me to ensure everything was going smoothly. He was reachable on his cell phone whether he was at the dealership or during off hours. He really cares about his customers. Overall, I had a great experience with my car purchase. I've purchased a number of Mercedes and BMWs over the years but this was my first Porsche and the experience was top notch. I won't hesitate to contact Philip Marquis at Leith Porsche in the future when the next generation 911 comes out. BTW, the 911S is an absolutely amazing car to drive... plenty of power on tap and it handles like no car I've ever driven before.

I confirmed with the online rep and made an appointment for 2:00 today. I made a formal offer on the car and my trade in and they accepted. I went today to test drive and write them a check for the difference. When I arrived I was told that the car had been sold. Another customer has come in on the 31st and they were only waiting for a new key to be made. They are going to pick it up tomorrow. I was shocked as I thought the deal was done. After the salesman could offer me no explanation as to why it happened. The sales manager got involved. His response was that "it happens" made me even more disturbed. They offered me nothing and did not even try to sell me another car. They couldn't wait to get me out of there. I will never set foot in a Leith property again. Very unprofessional.

I had one of the worst service experiences I've ever had at Land Rover Cary…read more I brought my vehicle in because it stalled and was smoking under the hood. When I called to schedule my appointment, I explained everything and was told it sounded like an electrical issue or alternator. Based on that guidance, I had my car towed in. After diagnostics, I was told I needed alternator-related repairs . I picked up my car, drove less than five minutes, and it started smoking again -- the exact same issue I originally brought it in for. Now, instead of owning the misdiagnosis, the service department is suddenly claiming I have a coolant issue, which was never present before and never triggered any warning lights. This feels like new problems are being added instead of admitting the original issue was not properly diagnosed or fixed. Let's be clear: * I came in for stalling and smoking * I paid thousands based on their diagnosis * The problem was not resolved * Now they're changing the story A proper repair shop should: Diagnose the actual cause Verify the repair resolved the symptom Road-test the vehicle before releasing it None of that happened here. I'm extremely disappointed with the lack of accountability and professionalism. Being charged thousands only to get your car back in the same condition is unacceptable. I would not recommend this service department to anyone.

The Cary location dare I say earned not even 0/5 Stars for customer service: non-existent. They will let you down with their lack of knowledge of their own policies. Terrible customer service. Be warned apparently they claim they "don't service Range Rovers made over 10 years ago" according to their "policy" that sounded completely made up when I asked to see the policy in an email, which they didn't provide and despite it being an easy fix and being told over the phone they would after driving an hour and a half just to get there during the work day and all of the sudden claimed they wouldn't install the part I literally ordered through them. Most disappointed I've been in a long time. I wouldn't ever want to buy a car from them and I already have a Range Rover and a Jaguar and have experienced many of these dealerships in multiple states such as Texas who were all way better by a long shot. After they wouldn't install the part they ordered for my car, I called the other Land Rover dealership near by and I just had the job done at nearby Land Rover of Raleigh who was 1000x better it's not even funny and they did it for like $50 bucks and took like 15 minutes.

Ed at the High House Road O'Reilly Auto Parts truly came to the rescue!…read moreI initially stopped in because the tail lights on my husband's car wouldn't turn off after parking and removing the key. Ed quickly diagnosed the issue and found the exact grommet I needed--problem solved, or so I thought. When I went to leave, my own car wouldn't start. Jumping the battery didn't work, and Ed suggested it might be a faulty starter (which turned out to be exactly right). At that point I was pretty frazzled with two cars out of commission, but Ed stayed calm, kind, and incredibly helpful. He let me leave my car overnight and even suggested options for getting home. Thanks to him, I was able to Uber home, fix my husband's car, and deal with my own car the next day (which was indeed diagnosed with a bad starter). Ed's knowledge, patience, and willingness to go above and beyond made a stressful situation so much easier. Exceptional customer service!

Huge Thanks to Ed!…read more What a day, what a day! What started as a quick stop for gas in Cary turned into a full-on car emergency when our vehicle refused to start. After a kind couple's attempt to jump the car didn't work, we were feeling pretty stuck--until we realized we were literally across the street from an O'Reilly Auto Parts. I called the store, and that's when Ed became our hero of the night. Without hesitation, he walked across the street with a jumper and got our car running again. And he didn't stop there! We headed over to the shop, bought a new battery, and Ed even installed it for us right then and there. Ed was professional, knowledgeable, and incredibly kind--exactly the kind of person you hope to run into when your car dies and you're stuck with your plans derailed. I can't thank him enough. He turned a stressful night into a reminder that good people still exist. If you ever need car help in Cary, O'Reilly's is the place to go--and Ed is the guy you want helping you out. Absolute legend!
