I picked up my new Macan GTS from Porsche Southpoint on June 17th. This has been an amazing journey that started with Nathaniel giving me expert advice on building the specification in early March. Shortly thereafter, the first communication from Porsche HQ predicted delivery would be on June 17, and they made it happen. Nathaniel's assistance with closing and delivery created a perfect ending to the three and a half month process. This is my second Porsche from Southpoint and I will continue to take my GTS there for service, even though there is a dealership closer to where I live. Thank you Nathaniel and the Southpoint Team!

    My new car!

This was the best car buying experience ever! Mike was a great salesperson: very knowledgeable, personable, and kind. Colleen in finance was fantastic: she had us in and out in about 15 minutes...and never strong-armed me into a warrantee I didn't want. I'd definitely recommend buying from them!!!! (I didn't even buy a Porsche but a used Fiat...and still treated me like gold.)

Rare GT2 RS that was in the showroom! Unique spec

Then doing absolutely nothing to fix their mistake. My family has completed three transactions with this dealership, including the lease buyout of our vehicle on December 31, 2025. During the lease buyout, we were advised to keep our existing plates and were asked to pay our 2026 vehicle taxes, which we did. Several months later, we received new plates and a second 2026 tax bill for the same vehicle. Despite numerous calls and follow-ups, we've told that they will handle it. The issue remains unresolved. What has been most disappointing is the lack of communication and follow-through after the sale. We paid dealership fees expecting the registration and title work to be handled correctly, and we should not be responsible for paying taxes twice due their administrative error. Extremely unprofessional handling

That being said I know more of the inner workings of a dealership than most and am knowledgeable about the profit and loss margins and the best ways and timeframes to make a purchase. My companies are growing and I was looking for a very specific vehicle at a different brand dealership closer to my location who was offering what is considered an A-tier rebate program. The sales manager would not simply run the A-tier program that the corporate entity strictly enforces and he kept trying to hide little things in the offer to double dip for more front end gross. I don't nit pick or haggle when there is a deal on the table especially when I know the margins and the program, I own two businesses and understand that profit is never bad as long as there is transparency. Fast forward a few days and I found a Truck online at Hendrick Chevrolet Buick GMC Southpoint I looked up the staff online and saw my former associates Carlos Aragao and sales manager Geoffrey Edwards Both great guys. Carlos very quickly confirmed the Truck was on the lot I communicated with him what I was looking for due to tax claims and wanted to make sure the truck met the weight rating needs for the best outcome for making a section 179 deduction and also fulfilling my operational needs. Geoffrey worked the current promo program for all it was worth. Carlos was warm, friendly, laid back and best of all transparent and stayed longer than he should have sacrificing his personal time. Geoff has the calmest demeanor on the surface of anyone you will ever meet he makes you feel at home even when making a mid level purchase decision. He really tries to advocate rebate programs to get every customer the best outcome during a purchase decision. Underneath the calm you can tell his gears are always turning trying to find the win-win and I can honestly say not only as a previous co-worker 14 years removed from the industry they handled my deal no different than they would have handled any other as I have seen them from both sides of the fence. They were even patient with me as I neurotically double and triple checked numbers because let's face it, it's still a car deal. Once we came to terms the back end finance office was a party With Ryan Desmond. We stayed way too late just chatting and having a big ol' time. I wound up purchasing a modified version of the HAART platinum extended warranty protection because I do put unusually high mileage on all of my service vehicles in a relatively short time so for me I know that the right extended plan can actually bring real value. I don't leave many reviews because I very transparently over communicate, but when the service is this good it should be shouted from the roof tops. Go see Carlos Aregao if you want an open, honest, and chill experience. Go to a different place if you don't value transparency and accountability at all levels. If I could give my experience an 11 out of 10 I would; however, if 5 stars is all I can give here they are.

RUST RUST RUST! I would be cautious buying a Chevy or working with Hendrick…read more I bought a new Chevy Colorado five years back, the car only has 30,000 miles on it and I take good care of it. I recently found out my driver door has begun rusting through, the paint is flaking along the inner door, this is way more than a normal 'paint defect'. Hendrick has told me this is not under warranty and apparently considered normal based on my conversation with them. It's never been 'up north' or dealt with anything other than NC roads. They claimed they would work with Chevy on a 'Special Claim' but they will not return my calls and brush me off each time I get someone on the line. It's pretty poor service for this new vehicle with significant rust forming. If this was an exposed area that could have taken damage of some form, I could maybe understand some of their arguments, but its the inside of my door panel. Basically, for all you new car buyers this year, just a small warning of what you might have to deal with in the future here at Hendrick and Chevy.

The sound system worked, Bluetooth connected, calls came through, the screen was illuminated, but the touch function was frozen, which is a known problem caused by the gel‑based adhesive Cadillac used in these units. I confirmed the issue beforehand when I booked my appointment and came in expecting a straightforward warranty repair that is specifically covered in my plan. The experience that followed was extremely disappointing. My Saturday appointment was confirmed the day before, yet when I arrived after a 30‑minute drive I was told that their weekend staff "doesn't handle stereo issues." I wondered why they would accept an appointment for a stereo issue if that was the case but I chalked it up to an error in their scheduling system and moved on. They rescheduled me, and when I returned Monday in peak traffic to drop the car off, I was told that the new appointment had been mistakenly set for the following Tuesday. This was the second scheduling error, and by that point I had already wasted hours commuting back and forth. I told them I wasn't coming back a third time and they were able to schedule me for the correct day. Tuesday of the appointment they squeezed me in, but the "diagnosis" they provided was nothing more than confirming what I had already told them: the screen is unresponsive. They then quoted me $2,000 to replace the entire unit, even though Cadillac owners forums and CUE screen suppliers charge around $135 for the part and note that installation is simple and takes one to two hours for novices. The only reason I came to the dealership was because the repair is covered under my warranty, something I've never had trouble with at other Cadillac dealerships. Hendrick says they called the warranty company and later told me the claim would be denied. That was surprising, because the same warranty has fully covered repairs at other Cadillac service centers without issue. They then asked if I wanted to pay the $2,000 out of pocket. I declined and went to pick up my still‑broken car, only to be charged $256 for a "diagnosis" that took no real effort and provided information I already knew. Staff were friendly, but friendliness does not excuse the complete lack of follow‑through, the scheduling mistakes, the refusal to honor a valid warranty, or the inflated repair pricing. After ten years of owning Cadillac vehicles, I used to trust the brand and specifically chose dealerships for reliable service, access to genuine parts, and professional support. This visit made it clear that the business model at Hendrick Cadillac Southpoint does not prioritize customer care or long‑term relationships. Instead, they appear focused on high‑margin repairs, even when less costly, warranty‑covered solutions exist. I left with my car unfixed, several hours lost, and $256 spent for nothing of value. If you are ever interested in spending $256 dollars on information you already know then I highly recommend this dealership. I will not return to Hendrick Cadillac Southpoint, and based on this experience, I will be rethinking doing business with any Cadillac dealership moving forward. Fortunately, several independent shops have been recommended to me from friends also burned by Hendrick's, such as C&C Automotive Charlie, Pete's Garage, and Clayton's Car Care. These places that actually work with warranties and treat customers fairly and care about helping you when trouble comes your way. To the staff that worked with me, ya'll were great its the policies I have a problem with. I would not trust this site to care for any of my family member's cars.

It turns out the clicking sound was due to a major transmission issue that required replacement of the transmission. I called EVERY Honda dealership in northern NC and the two that actually got back to me gave me prices way higher than Crown Honda. Alecha May gave me a discount on labor, which was greatly appreciated. Anthony, the senior technician who performed the work, took time to road test the car with me prior and to explain exactly what he thought was wrong with the car. Then, after I was comfortable and confident that the repair was necessary, he performed the repair excellently and in a timely manner. Alecha May and Anthony should be given raises for their high commitment to customer service and their patience and attention to detail they showed in all their many communications with me prior, during and after the repair. Alecha May and Anthony get 5 stars. I had a very different experience with a salesperson there who provided an estimate on the car in case I wanted to trade it in. But Russ Anwar and whoever his boss is gave me an insulting trade in offer. My car, even with a "fair" condition per KBB.com (the worst condition option requiring mechanical repairs), is worth $10,060 trade in value. Russ and his boss offered me $6,000. The very same day that my car was in the shop there, Crown had a 2017 Accord LX (one year newer than mine) with 75K miles listed for $21,000. My car is a 2016 (same options as the 2017) with 137K. Clearly, if they took my car for $6,000, they would have fixed the transmission and had it back on the market for $18,000 or more. Shady move, Russ. As I told Russ, this one interaction made it clear to me that the sales team is not one that I would feel comfortable doing business with, despite the amazing experience I had with May and Anthony in service. The trade in offer of $6,000 was an insult to my intelligence and to me as a new customer and Russ lost Crown a future customer as a result of that decision. He and his boss get 0 stars. Business relationships are based upon one thing... TRUST and that first impression was pretty bad. Thank you to Alecha May and Anthony! You guys deserve a lot of credit as you saved Crown from a 1 star review from Russ's actions indicated above. The dealership as a whole has some pretty lackluster Yelp reviews, so I'm gathering from my own experience, with the service department being EXCELLENT that the issues are on the sales side of things. Jose did work with his manager to give us a free diagnostic to find out that the condenser was leaking and it would cost us $2K to fix since it was sold as is. A leak that fast should have been noticed upon pre-sale inspection, in my opinion. It appears that the coolant was topped off to sell so it would become our problem after driving off of the lot. I understand the concept of as-is, but this appears to be deceptive practice on the part of the shop. I'm about to pick it up from the shop and take it elsewhere for a repair quote.

I purchased a new 2026 RX350h yesterday after comparing a preowned version and a new vehicle. They were exactly alike in every way - except the preowned was 2 years old, had 10k miles and needed to be detailed. The total price difference was $5,500, and the warranty on the preowned seemed substantially better. Sophia could sell me either one, and carefully gave me pros and cons on each vehicle. The preowned manager came out to talk with me after I offered less for the preowned than asking price. He obviously wanted me to buy preowned, but I was leaning toward new - despite the better warranty and lower price of the used car that was identical to the new. He was nice, but hard core wanted me to purchase the used one. I went to lunch while they detailed the used car. Upon return, Sophia gently pointed out items that became obvious to her after the car was cleaned up that I would have recognized over time, but were not apparent to my untrained eye: the car had multiple "dents" from a likely hailstorm. There was evidence on the tailgate of sanding and repainting, and overspray on the chrome trim. The vehicle, despite a clean Carfax report, had either been wrecked, or at least damaged enough that it had required substantial body work. I am massively thankful to Sophia. She is incredibly well studied and recognizes things I never would have. I would've paid over $50k for a substantially damaged used car if not for her. I do not hesitate to recommend her and her expertise. Now, as for Johnson Lexus Pre-owned... not so much. Thank you, Sophia!!!

Flange makes a comeback, what happened…read more.. Johnson Lexus Durham service used to extremely reliable (barring one past episode 5 years ago)- I actually took my car for 10 years to the same service specialist. However, my recent experience has me rethinking... They incorrectly failed my 2015 Lexus on the state inspection - tire tread was 2.3 as reported by them, while low from a safety standpoint, it is not a failure by state inspection (which is at less than 2), they required replacing four tires at $1340. Which is $445 above Costco charges. Secondly the rear 12v lighter wasn't working, it was a fuse that is easily accessible they put in a charge for $120 and had told me some sort of fusible link - I didn't know what that meant initially I approved it and upon further research and their own invoice said it was a fuse. Those fuses are cheap and easily accessible and shouldn't require 1 hour of labor. Old Lexus used to do this sort of service complementary sometimes. There were multiple errors that seemed to be designed to give them more money, and I am wondering if service management has changed that pushes for more revenue and profitability margin than serving the customer. While they corrected both of these errors and reversed $120 charge and redid inspection and passed without tires having to be changed. I hope they improve and not continue this path - this is path that Honda Durham was on and I moved on from that brand. I was planning on purchasing an RX-350 due to comfort and ease of servicing with Lexus as well as the vehicles, but has me rethinking if I should go all electric with Rivian R2 instead in the future. Oh, BTW, what is that flange you ask, that was just non-existing fusible links in modern cars - its joke for that have seen old Seinfeld episode :-)
