I went there to get help choosing and purchasing a tractor and implements. I asked to be set up with an offset flail mower and was quoted a price. I later also added a third function kit. they told me the price and I stupidly did not break down the price. Turns out they added $700 to the price and swapped for a rear flail mower. They did not get approval for the change or the price increase. they won't take the mower back. this mower does not meet my needs and my tractor is being damaged as a result. don't buy tractors and implements here. They don't understand the equipment they sell and they are devious in their sals practices. read more

Several months ago I took my John Deere mower in for repair & they quickly found the problem & corrected it. I thought the charge was very reasonable & it was quickly repaired. We also have an older self drive Craftsman which I took down a couple of weeks ago. I went to check on the repair & it was ready. It was a simple fix so they didn't charge me. However yesterday it stopped working & wouldn't start. So this morning I took it back & of course it started right up! They suggested it may have had some moisture in the fuel so they put in an additive & gave me the remaining contents of the additive. They also suggested I use "ethanol" free gasoline in the future. Again - No Charge! This is kind of unheard of these days. I highly recommend them for any mower repairs. They're also a Farm Store & I've found their prices highly competitive & their customer service top notch. read more

It has taken me about two months to write this review because I don't want to hurt our local economy, but here's the thing, I've noticed local restaurants and other businesses don't care about the customer. In fact, I have watched different FB feeds where local people complain about tourists. This is no way to treat anyone, specially people who want to help our community. On May 2 I walked into this establishment with a make, model, and amount of money I was prepared to spend on a tractor. Three people attempted to help, but couldn't give me a price for a planned expense of $32-38,000. In fact, the manager quoted me $400 for a backhoe on a Mahindra - no idea - the thumb maybe. Then she bad months a good friend who is undergoing a battle with cancer. About 2.5 -3 hours later, they finally ran my credit, although "you know, most people don't qualify." Later at the end of the day after work, I called to see the outcome - they hadn't checked, "we have been very busy, let me check. Oh, yes you qualify." I asked, when do I get my tractor? Absurdly enough the young lady said, "I'm off for the next couple days and our shop is backed up two to three weeks." The next day I called and asked for the owner to call me. The gentleman who answered and tried to help got fired the next day as a result. When the owner did call me, I explained what transpired, he apologized and said he would get right on it, handle it himself - Wednesday May 4th. Sometime on Friday May 6th I got a call from the owner saying - wait for it - "You called my staff incompetent.... We don't need your money!" By 13 May I had the same tractor delivered from Boulder Equipment Inc, Olympia, wa for free with all the bells and whistles. I will never spend another cent At Leitz. read more

The owner is rude and disrespectful to customers. I've ordered hay from Leitz for a very long time. One day it was being delivered and half of the hay was sub-par. I called store and the man became rude and started telling me I shouldn't have ordered hay I didn't want. I told him the hay was more than 50% brown and straw and that I didn't want or pay for that quality of hay. (The hay is usually very good so I was surprised) He continued to be rude so I hung up the phone. I refuse to be spoken to in such a manner by anyone. I got a return phone call, turns out the man I had spoken to was the OWNER, Ed! Wow! I can't believe he's still in business speaking to customers like this! He was upset that I hung up on him, I told him I was upset that he was speaking to me so disrespectfully, and he said he didn't need my business, I told him it was fine, that I didn't need his hay. The sweet delivery kid, turned out to be his son, kept apologizing for his dad's behavior. I feel bad for anyone that works for Ed. read more

Very unethical owners.. don't buy equipment or anything that may need future service work done. They do not stand by their products and they do not practice small town ethics. Very unfortunate being in a smaller area. read more

I have, on occasion, gone to Leitz and not been able to get what I wanted. It goes something like this... Hi I was wondering if you carried a hydraulic blank-ity-blank. "You can check with the shop, but I don't think so". I may be ultimately disappointed that they didn't have it but my expectations for a basic farm supply business only go so far. I expect to be treated with respect and in a professional, common sense, manner and at Leitz, I always have been. They always seem to have the basics such as fencing and hay but as for equipment, if its not in stock, don't count on getting it anytime soon. read more

I'm not sure what all the negative reviews are about here? Do y'all want to drive up and grab your feed/hay or do you want someone to hold your hand and talk with you? I've spent thousands here on feed/alfalfa/gates and fencing. Hands down I would spend money here over the competition in town. Leitz feed has what you need, they'll load it up for you and the young "kids" (yes, I'm older than everyone working here) do a decent job with a good attitude. Have I ever felt warm and fuzzy here? No, I haven't. Have I gotten what I need at a better price with MUCH FASTER service than anywhere else in town? YES! I'll admit, the young lady working behind the counter last time I came in, did seem annoyed. However, I'm not coming here to feel good, I'm coming here to get what I need, get out and back to working. I support this local store and their beliefs! Maybe all the negative reviews are from the Liberal Californians moving into the area and destroying the Pacific Northwest? Just a thought. read more

Service was lousy. Guy behind counter kept chatting about his medical issues. No one offered to help me carry a large bag of dog food. Had to inquire about the dog food promotion then practically beg to get them to sign me up. Which, honestly I doubt happened. Chewy.com just got a customer for life. After shopping around for higher end mowers, I settled on a particular model that I could buy at a couple chain stores or Leitz. One of the employees, Dave, was helpful showing me the mower and even letting me try it out in their yard. I came back to pick it up later that day with a promise that it would be washed and with a full tank of gas. The problems started the next day when I luckily checked everything before heading out to mow the downhill pasture. There was virtually no gas in the tank and the transmission was underfilled! They apologized when I called and offered a discount on an accessory I wanted to order, but there really wasn't a discount at all. I won't be doing business with them again. read more

The staff at Leitz Farms is always friendly, cheerful, and helpful. I've had nothing but great experiences with all my there and I'm glad we have such great place on the peninsula. They are always willing to answer all my questions and assist in anyway needed. I would prefer to shopping at Leitz Farms over the big box stores any day ! read more

Love the store. Very helpful and cheaper than the big box farm store in Sequim. Example: I needed some pine bedding pellets, Big Box Store-$7.69, Leitz $4.49, both 40 pound. They allow me to enjoy my animals without going broke. read more

After two years of spending $1500-3000 a month as a customer you would think the customer is always right "type deal" would come in handy. Lost my service forever! Happy to spend my money elsewhere. Terrible customer service when you run into a problem. Got charged $1500+ and over drafted my account for something I never received. They said they have it on camera loading but NEVER came to me. They are not reasonable at all. Charged me and won't refund. Calling me a liar basically. They have NO PROOF it was delivered. However I have photos that it didn't arrive. They still want to argue. I will be reporting this to any place they are accredited with and make sure I let everyone I know so they don't have this issue themselves. Even if they made it right, by this point I literally lost a day sick to my stomach from being robbed from them $1500+, stressed out as I financially can't afford to take care of my animals now with no job during coronavirus. I love this store! People are down-to-earth, helpful, the store smells like a farm store should, clean and earthy. I buy some of my pet supplies there. When I needed a wire crate for two dogs we had acquired, the employee offered to go check upstairs for the correct size. I bought it, he loaded it into the car for me, and was nothing but courteous and kind. I will be a customer always! read more

Decent place, local is always nice if worth a sht. I have been buying dog food off and on here for 3 years. I recently started the buy 8 get one free deal they offer on a paticular type of food. Wich would be nice if the employees actually gave me credit. I have been wondering when the heck i was gonna be at my free bag, then yesterday i asked where i was at on this. The new girl said i was at 3 inculding the days purchase. As far as my needs go i think they will be better met somewhere else. They do not live up to their own offers, or even attempt to. I directly ask EVERY TIME i come in to please credit my account. Lazyness and lack of customer appreciation. Local or not, there are better places. I bought material to build a deer fence. The folks at Leitz were great in helping me determine what I needed. The material was delivered quickly. The guy who delivered it did a great job placing material exactly where and how I wanted it. I initially resisted buying from Leitz thinking they would be more expensive than the big chain store and thinking they would have limited selection. Turns out, their selection was better and their prices at least 10% better than what I found at the big chain store. My four year old grandson enjoyed shopping there as much as if he had been in a toy store. read more
