I swore it off however I went and tried other studios where I could get more confident and understand the form. So coming back to Instaphysique I had more of a foundational knowledge and knew what was ahead of me. But not only that but you also start to find instructors that you prefer their cues and/or energy and that makes a HUGE difference. I love my classes Kristin and Marisa. Clear cues and they have no mercy on my hammies and booty cheeks - but in a good way. When I started I was 5 months postpartum and they were very dedicated to giving me modifications but as soon as my strength started to build again, they challenged me without being pushy or making me feel bad if I couldn't follow. Some tactical things: parking is great in the morning but once 12p and beyond hit, you're fighting lunch and dinner crowds in the parking lot. Not impossible but just not princess parking. There are two clean restrooms in the studio. There isn't really a designated bag/shoe place but you can have it at your station or against the wall. Classes are a bit pricey, I have a membership to cut some cost. However, it's a great 40 minutes and it goes by super fast. I find it to be a VERY efficient burn.

The class was fairly challenging but there were options to make it easier or harder, depending on your level. Afterwards we were able to enjoy the spa amenities! They had various rooms and devices. We did 40min in the dry sauna, rinsed off, a couple minutes in the red light, and finished with a couple minutes in the cold plunge. The sauna and cold plunges were able to accommodate two persons at once so I can see this being a great couples activity. Afterwards my body felt so amazing and relaxed! All the spaces were so clean and felt new. The bathrooms were very clean as well and provided shampoo/conditioner/body wash in the showers. I believe we met the owner at the front desk and she was so sweet and accommodating. She helped us navigate all the spaces of the spa and provided clean towels and eye masks. I'm not local to Sacramento but I'm definitely paying this place another visit whenever I'm back in town. Highly recommend!

Love! Love! Love!…read more When I first moved into this area, I was looking for a new exercise that I would love. I went to various studios: cycling, yoga, pilates, HIIT, infrared studios, and then I went to Pure Barre. Why it was different for me? Five years ago it was hard, today, it's still really hard. You're body gets better and you get stronger, and even though the workout is the same, it's still hard. How the heck does that make sense? Your form gets better so the intensity goes up, you continue to "find your shake" as they say. I still crawl out of there, but I go to turn of my watch and I'd burn anywhere from 250-350 calories consistently in a 50min class. Bonus: you become part of a community. Literally you walk in the door and the staff will greet you by name, don't ask me how they remember after seeing you one time, but it's like walking into Cheers! (only the older ones will get that). Everyone has been kind and welcoming including the other members. If you haven't tried it, I highly recommend! But don't quit after the first one, let it challenge you!

The instructors are also super great, they take time to correct form as needed but the class is fast paced and totally easy to follow if you have some barre experience. The studio is also stocked with cute workout clothes and socks are available for purchase, grip socks are needed for every workout. The room is a pretty good size and not crowded at all so I had plenty of room for all the complicated moves I probably failed at. I can't wait to finish up my classes and possibly stay for more!

I love Pilates Heartcore…read more I've been to five classes so far - two private, one virtual, and two group - and have been led by five different instructors. Each class was wonderful, as was each instructor. I'm new to Pilates - before Heartcore I had only gone to/done two studio classes fifteen years ago + a few YouTube (mat) Pilates videos over the years - so I was very nervous starting out. Each instructor made me feel welcome and very supported. In addition, when I first started taking classes, I spoke with Katie, the owner of the studio, over email many times (to schedule classes), and she was so helpful and very quick to respond. The studio itself is spacious and very clean (including the bathrooms). Also, Heartcore has no "surprises" - something I very much appreciate; all policies are posted on their website, so everything that prospective + current students need to know is there. People may need to set reminders for themselves about things - an upcoming class they registered for, the need to bring grippy socks to class (which they do sell in the studio), when to cancel your registration to a class if you won't be able to make it, etc. - but that is to be expected at almost every establishment/business. I've been a member here for just about a month, and I don't foresee myself ending my membership anytime soon (barring a faraway move or something). I look forward to each class, and I'm so excited to keep going. I love this studio!

I couldn't find my card in my bag, and they didn't accept cash either. Then I went back to my car, found my card, and returned to the studio. By then, the class had already started, and they said I couldn't join--almost as if I had shown up late to a CEO meeting. So I turned around and went back home. If you work in the service industry, you should know how to serve people--but clearly, you don't. Losing a potential customer over a $6 pair of socks is completely irrational. I've traveled to 20 countries and lived in Europe, and I've never seen anything like this. You clearly have no idea how to deal with customers or manage a situation. I will never set foot in Club Pilates again.

What an awesome spot in the Roseville area!…read more I was visiting a friend in Sacramento, and decided to get a workout together on a Sunday morning. She took me to her gym at Positive Impact! There were a few folks there in the morning. Someone was also cleaning the gym too. She was really doing a great job cleaning EVERYTHING. Kudos to her. First off, vibes are immaculate. Purple is one of my favorite colors, so when the lights turn on, it is an awesome setting to be in. High ceilings and a wide array of equipment. Treadmills, assault bikes, box jumps, free weights, barbells, mats, and more. The punchbag set up seem super interesting to me, so definitely interested in seeing them used in action. Classes are available too. I hope timing works out that next time I'm in the area, I can try a class out! A quick glance on their website, looks like they have a free "60-min Body Transformation Game Plan Session" (50 available) as of Mar'23. Definitely a great way to get your foot in the door to see if this spot is for you. Two bathrooms and water fountain available on site. Easy parking in the plaza, which is also a plus.
