Most expensive "neighborhood" chinese in the area. Entree starts at $10.95 - $15.95. Ex; beef fried rice $10.75, house special fried rice $12.75. Nearly all chinese restaurants in the area $7.95-$8.95 for fried rice Good service..food taste average.. expensive because they know yelp has good rating on their restaurant. In short, overpriced. Very busy. However, i do not understand why people would pay 30% more than competing chinese restaurants in the area. read more

Have been coming here for years now. It's a small place in a strip mall. This place has THE BEST pot stickers. They are made fresh so they take a little longer to come out. The portions are plentiful and the food is delicious. In my opinion it ranks up there with some of the best Chinese food I've had. My favorites here are the cashew chicken, garlic chicken, lo mien, and hot braised chicken. The owner is very friendly and works his but off. I don't think you'll be disappointed. read more

We have been here and ordered to go a few times and each time it has been pretty good! Everything that we have ordered has been pretty good but their egg rolls and their pork egg foo young has been really really good. The pork fried rice has been good every time but last night it was excellent! It's a little further from me than other places but I'll drive a little further for good food. read more

The best in South County, very consistant. When i crave sweet and sour chicken, they are the best. The only location i could find from Imperial throughout South County that provides bell peppers, onions, carrots and in the sauce actual pineapple. A complete meal, not just chicken and sauce. I recently tried their egg foo young, surprisingly good. I frequently go to spots in the city where i know the Chinese food it great to get my fried rice and egg foo young but this satisfied my cravings. I must say i haven't had their fried rice in years because fried rice shouldn't be yellow or have peas and carrots. Stick with the entrées you will be pleased. read more

Disappointed. The reviews were great and I wanted to like this place. Ordered fried rice, hot braised chicken, and crab rangoon. Fried rice looked like plain white rice with egg and onions in it. Pretty flavorless. The hot braised chicken was decent. The crab rangoon was not good at all. Had a weird taste. Definitely won't return. read more

This was awful. I got the chicken lo mein. Noodles were over cooked and mushy. Chicken was rubbery. Sauce made it edible. The wonton were over cooked. And it was over priced. Much worse than panda express food and way more expensive. read more

This was my first time here and I just cannot say enough about how amazing it was. The service was excellent, even though it was a Friday night and they were real busy. There are a decent amount of tables for the size of the place. We had the hot jasmine tea- so tasty. I ordered the chicken and broccoli. It was incredible. In a brown sauce, with white chicken, and broccoli and bamboo. Simply delicious. I have tried so many chinese places and chicken and broccoli and this was I believe the best I have ever had. I tasted my husband's general tso's- excellent and my daughter had shrimp sauteed with green beans- also very good. I had the hot and sour soup and it was good also. Their fortune and almond cookies- also delicious. Prices are extremely reasonable considering portion size, ranging from about $10-$15 per entree. If we had realized how much food we were going to get, we would have only ordered 2 entrees. I cannot wait to go back and try more things like the egg roll and crab rangoon. I am highly impressed. My only complaint? They are only open for dinner. I wish they'd be open for lunch too! SO happy we found this place! read more

Sorry, this is not Chinese food, but a cynical imitation. The hot and sour soup with a sad mixture of peppers, corn syrup, and vinegar. No self-respecting Chinese food eater would call it soup. The pork lo mein had tired cha siao pork and soggy noodles drenched in oil. The shrimp with pea pods was drowning in standard brown sauce. Two stars, because the rice was good (although it came in a container so small, it was as it we were stuck in Lilliput). read more

This is pretty much the only place I will go for Chinese Food. They are always friendly, and fast. My husband always orders the Chicken fried rice, and I try to change it up a bit. Tonight I got the General Tso's chicken. I hadn't ordered this in a while because the chunks of chicken were so big, and they don't give you knives, but tonight he asked me if I wanted white or dark meat, so I got the white meat and the pieces were much smaller. I also love the fact that they remember everyone who has ever set foot in the restaurant. We hadn't been here in about 6 months and they remembered us. read more

Great chinese food. More pricey than other take out places, but worth it. Cashew Chicken and Empress Chicken are amazing.

This place is ok, for the price you would expect it to be far beyond most Chinese places, but it is not. It's average and a lot more expensive. My wife and I can generally get takeout Chinese for around $12 and have leftovers. Our standard order was $20 here and honestly not better than where we normally go. read more

the most rude and atrocious treatment that I have ever seen! I have worked for 30 years as a server in restaurants and if I had ever talked to a customer like he did to me, I would have been instantly fired! We had take out sweet and sour shrimp..hard tiny shrimps that we did not even eat..and three ingredient which had one hard, stringy scallop that I spit out for fear of food poisoning..very little seafood or beef..just not good. So I took it back only to be chastised and basically yelled at..NO REFUND! you ate some so no refund! over and over and he basically shooed me away like I did something wrong! i wouldn't feed that to my dog! What ever happened to the customer is always right??!! At least apologize and attempt to make the customer happy..terrible! I would rather starve than return to that place! read more

Let me start with saying that the service at Lemay Wok is probably the best i have had at any "chinese" place with table service. The decor is inline with or better than any place ive tried and believe me i have tried alot of places. The food has to be in my top 5 of aall i have tried. This visit we had the potstickers to get started and they were quite tasty,but not the best ive had .The sauce served with them really made the dish. I would recommend them if your really hungry but save room for the large portion sizes of the main dishes to follow ! We almost always order the "house"fried rice as one of our main courses at every chinese place we try, it is my way of judging the places quality and it usually holds true if they have tasty rice the rest of their food will follow suit. Our other pick this trip was the "house"egg foo young as well . It was amazing with lots of the vaious meats and sprouts. I realize the egg foo young might be offensive to someone who wants the "real" chinese dining experience complete with Andrew Zimmern type ingredients but as far as im concerned sometimes you just want something that tastes good!!! And this qualifies lol. They offer hot tea at no charge which kinda stunned me ! You dont get that many places these days and is a small but appreciated gesture by me for one! I give it a 3 and a half stars for the simple fact they need more seating .Since it is in a strip mall i knew going in it would be smallish inside though. We will be back often to try alot more of what they are serving up. The waiter offers you carryout boxes and even boxes it up for you when your done. Good food, bad customer service. My girlfriend and I walked in at 8:35 on a Saturday with 5 or so tables eating and they said they were closed. It really angers me to be open until 9 or 9:30 (yelp/google say they are open till 9:30 on weekends.) and turn away business. Especially because they're open until at least 9, it's inexcusable in my opinion. I want to go back because I like the food, I don't want to go back because they didn't do a good job earning business. There are a lot of places I can spend my hard earned cash, and turning away customers long before closing isn't good business. read more

I just want to say that I have never before given a restaurant a bad review. We asked for the usual red sauce for our eggs rolls the waiter wanted us to try a different sauce The sauce we were brought for our egg roles had a horrible chemical chemical taste. It burn my tongue and smelled just like acetone (nail polish remover). I frequent nail salons and know that smell. I couldn't even finish my meal and we left within minutes of getting our food. I normally am easy going and not one to create a scene. I wish I would have known who to contact to report them because there was definitely a chemical in that sauce. Chinese food is hit or miss pretty much everywhere when you think about it, but in the south county area i for the longest time couldn't find a good place. Most of the places were terrible or overpriced. But i can say lemay wok is my go to for Chinese. The food is great the portions are big what else could you want in a place. Only complaint or piece of advice is to only take out. The dining room is the size of a closet there are maybe 10 tables. But even that doesnt warrent a loss of a star Lemay wok is my go to chinese place in south county. read more

We are new to the area and we heard this was the best Chinese restaurant around. We found this to be very true. This place is always slammed in the evening so we always order takeout. I usually get their general tsos chicken and an order of crab rangoon. I'm generally pretty picky with my crab rangoon and I really like theirs. My guy is more adventurous and tries something different every time. He always enjoys his food. The people there are really nice and are always working super hard.
