Oof. Yes, what I wrote was meant to be a review and no, it was not meant to be an insult. Surely I am not the only one who has seen the similarity between that Progressive commercial and this restaurant and similar places? The food was fresh and tasty. It is the reason I would consider returning but "$12-$15" for a salad where I stand in line, pay at the register, find a seat and eat from a plastic bowl with plastic utensils seems a little high for this old boy. My wife regularly pays $14 for her favorite Southern Spin Cobb Salad at Backwoods Crossing where we are waited on at table and eat with utensils and bowls that are reusable and go through the dishwasher rather than into the landfill. I have even rationalized a steak salad for myself a few times because the amount of steak was similar to what I would get with a steak and baked potato meal and the salad meant I was eating healthier. Those too were enjoyed at a restaurant where we were waited on and ate with utensils and bowls that go through the dishwasher and not the landfill. I think I paid $17 for those. The restaurant is super cute , the service is always great , the food is great , I always get the kale salad! I am so glad it's open for dinner now , even tho it's just for pick up I'm okay with that ! Highly recommend, I know a lot of people say it's pricey but it depends what you get and it's all fresh ingredients and you build your own it can get pricey. read more

Just recently noticed this restaurant and wanted to give it a try. Nice/clean area; outside dining available as well. Not a long wait for food (get in line and let the staff know how to build your food item); notably, there are specific menu items, but customers can also build a bowl. My daughter ordered a bowl with the panko-crusted chicken as the protein; I ordered a salad with honey citrus shrimp. The drawback to my salad is that there was too much dressing! I requested "medium" for the amount of dressing, but it seemed more like heavy dressing - my bad though; next time I will know to request "light" on the dressing. :o) I am looking forward to also trying the bowls and the soups! read more

This is a precious little salad place. The organic lemonade is a must try. It's so delicious! A friend took me here for a lunch date and my steak and roasted sweet potato salad and her shrimp grain bowl were both delicious. The atmosphere of both the employees and other patrons were delightful. I'll be taking my husband there in the near future. I have to have some more of that lemonade and try another protein in my salad. It's the cutest place for a lunch date. read more

Lemon & Thyme was amazing. Let's of course start with the food. They have many bowl options and many salad options. All of the pre made choices sound amazing. We got one with quinoa and it was delicious, and very filling. You can also make your own bowl which is a nice option if you don't love they're suggestions. All meals come with a little slice of yummy bread! Staff was knowledge and quick. Two of my favorite qualities! I cannot wait to be back in Tallahassee so I can go back. Super neat place. Simple, clean but inviting. The salad was amazing. Staff is very friendly. Only downside it's only open form 11am to 3pm which can make it hard for some to grab food there unless it's an off-day. But maybe that will change. Def. should try the place out. read more

Had an excellent first visit to this new Midtown establishment. The line was long, but it moved quickly. The staff was patient, gracious and friendly. I had the Mexicali Trop salad with a few modifications. It was delicious, flavorful and filling. Parking and seating is a premium. There is outdoor seating but mostly uncovered. My lunch date and I walked down to another establishment outside in the shade as I saw a few other Lemon & Thyme patrons doing. Speaking of my lunch date, she ordered one of the grain dishes and her bowl was empty by the end of our time together. read more

This is my second time trying Lemon & Thyme and I can wholeheartedly say it was great both times. Today I tried the Medi grain bowl with a mix of brown rice and quinoa topped with baby spinach, oven-roasted lemon chicken, herbed falafel crumbles, cucumber and tomato salad, chickpeas, feta cheese, and their Lemon Vinaigrette dressing. My only complaint about the food (that is not really a complaint) is that I wish there was more falafel or an option to have falafel as a protein because it was delicious! The dressing has left a haunting sensation on my tastebuds but not in a scary way, more in a sense of wanting to know the recipe because it was SO good. Each time I have had Lemon & Thyme I leave feeling satiated-not too full but feeling satisfied. Additionally, the silverware and bowls you eat out of are compostable or recyclable. The only suggestion I have regarding ambiance is to figure out a way to add more seating and to lower the noise with soundproofing of some sort during lunch rush as it was quite loud in there today and limited seats for the line of guests waiting to be served. read more

Was surprised there was no table service, but fast casual, seeing the photos of fancy salads. We ordered ingredients on line at a counter behind glass, given the photos of artistic salads. You're given a card to guide you through the some five sections. At some you can order three items like greens. At protein, you have one choice. At toppings near the end, there's no limit. There are so many dressings, choosing is difficult. I wanted to try the namesake lemon-thyme dressing and was not disappointed. The prices start at $10 for a large salad, but beware the premiums. I unwittingly added $4 to my order by adding avocado and falafel at $2 each. They were so good, I can't complain. There are many outside tables, maybe more than inside. We lucked out with one in the shade on a beautiful day. read more

I tried Lemon & Thyme for the first time today for lunch. It is a fantastic and welcomed addition to the midtown area. First things first, parking can be a little bit challenging, so I would suggest walking over if you leave close by. The restaurant itself is really pretty and clean, and every one who worked there was kind and helpful with explaining how Lemon & Thyme works. I had a salad and my friend ordered a bowl. Both were about 12$ and well worth the price- portions were large, ingredients were fresh, etc. I do wish that the grilled chicken had a little bit more flavor (I guess I was hoping to get the same type of flavor as in a chain like Cava). One of those may be the clearness in their wine list. I thought there was a red option but I was only able to choose the rose. Their servers were also not sure about the availability on their drinks. This place is great! It is small, but they do have places to sit outside and eat - especially once it cools off a bit. My friends and I have been wanting to try them out and got a chance to go there and we were not disappointed! The food comes in a 'to go' container, if you don't finish it (believe me a they are filling) you can take it with you. You can order a salad or rice/grain bowl that is pre-selected for the ingredients, or you can create your own. I created my own - the 1st time we went I got a rice bowl with shrimp, spinach, carrots, edamame, crispy wontons, and sweet-n-sour pecans with honey lime dressing (I also got a side of the lemon & thyme dressing to try with it) both were good, but the honey lime being on the sweet side was my favorite. The 2nd time I went with my friends, I got an altered buffalo chicken bowl - I left off the cucumbers and cheeses - replaced them with the crispy wontons and pecans and had it with the lemon & thyme vinaigrette. Both were absolutely delicious!! I love that you can have things altered to your own personal taste. My friend Sarah enjoyed her salad, but I forgot to write down what she had. The staff is very friendly and accommodating! The place is very nice - staff seem to have pride in their jobs - weather it is taking an order, cleaning, or asking to take care of clearing the tables. In the case of my 2nd visit, as we were sitting there talking, but had finished our salads, the staff came around asking if they could throw it away for us - which was very nice. I also saw one of the girls that was working the register - instead of just standing there waiting to help someone, she was busy cleaning the floor - that shows me they care about being there and keeping things in order. This place is only open for lunch, but it is a nice, healthy, and filling lunch choice! The rice that is offered is brown rice, but not the kind that I had in the past that was very chewy - this was light and fluffy and is served warm in the rice/grain bowls. They offer several different salad options - romaine, mixed greens, kale, and spinach. I didn't get a picture, but my friend Anna enjoyed the White Cheddar & Cauliflower Bisque. Oh, and each salad, bowl, or soup comes with a complimentary piece of YUMMY focaccia bread!! I did the make your own salad, they have multiple lettuce options even rice and quinoa, falafel crumble and tofu protein as well as meat, and you choose 5 vegetable or toppings, extra toppings are 50¢. Definitely try the lemon and thyme vinaigrette. Free water infused with lemon and fruit. Clean bathrooms, and good playlist, nice vibes overall.
