Food was well cooked and tasted great. But it was a very small portion. I left hungrier when I was when I walked in, and I'm not a big eater. The shrimp pad tai had an up-charge but came with only 4 shrimp. I'm not exaggerating, only 4. If you're going to be so stingy, then don't up-charge man, cmon. Decor was weird, cluttered and outdated. Totally forgivable if the food was awesome. I brought my date here to introduce them to tai food and was disappointed. The drunken noodles certainly had much to offer in terms of flavor. With a menu rating of two spicy chili peppers, they had a nice kick without unbearable heat. But y'all... they were oily. A found it to be a bit heavy. I understand that the use of oil is largely unavoidable in such a dish, but considering my nutritional goals, it left me feeling overwhelmed. With that said, the overall taste was enjoyable and service was supreme. Next time, I will consider the use of a napkin to blot off any extra oils. read more

My wife and I recently visited Thai Kitchen Cuisine for lunch. I had the Egg Rolls and the Drunken Noodle. The egg rolls were a delicious appetizer with a crisp shell filled with shredded carrots and cabbage. The noodles were soft, lightly chewy, mixed with tender chicken, crisp peppers and onions, soft carrots, and fluffy egg and marinated in a sweet lightly spicy sauce. A pleasant surprise when trying a newer restaurant in Tallahassee! Although this restaurant has been around for awhile, we just have never got around to trying it. I can now say we have a new favorite for a fun night out. The restaurant is on the smaller side and nothing to get excited about decor-wise (I noticed a lot of people we coming and going while we were there with to-go orders), but the friendliness of the staff, the speed of the service and the quality of the food more than made up for it. I got the Pad Thai entree and my wife got the Drunken Noddle entree. They were both served hot and were both delicious (see photos below). Our server was great, answered all of our questions about the menu and made great recommendations. I am excited to go back and try the numerous curry bowl entrees they have on their menu as well. My only prior experience with this Thai restaurant was a meal delivery, which was a solid 5-stars, leaving me looking forward to dining in. After one visit I can say with confidence that carryout/delivery is the ONLY way to go, and obviously the only thing keeping them in business. Only one other party in the most basic of strip mall dining rooms, but the phone was constantly ringing and several delivery drivers came & went with plastic bags full of delicious Thai cuisine. I've seen park restrooms with more ambiance, and possibly even better service. Nothing about this restaurant was inviting. It was like eating in a storage unit, complete with boxes stacked around (see pics). Don't get me wrong, the food was still superb, but the setting and service was such a disappointment. I highly recommend ordering for carry out or delivery of some of the best pad Thai and spicy cashew chicken in town (5+ stars). The place is pretty small so I imagine there's a wait when it gets crowded, but it's perfect for that off hour late lunch or dinner spot on Fridays. It's clean, the food comes out at a fairly fast, and the prices are good. They also have a great selection on the menu, including for vegetarians. Been to Thailand many times, lived on Guam for years with authentic Thai cuisine and been to many Thai places around the U.S. and global.......this is not good Thai. Very disappointed. The place is not clean....bathrooms are a mess, cobwebs in the corners, floors dirty...etc. Not a good start. The staff seemed cold and not engaged. But, what really matters here is the food, and it is not good. -Salad has a sweet mayo dressing on a bunch of iceberg lettuce. Tasteless and gross. -Coconut soup was okay, but not enough coconut milk, no kaffir lime leaves and no ginger root. Just a cheap version of Tom Kha. -Tofu soup was just chicken broth with a couple pieces of tofu and 2 spinach leaves in it. Tasteless. -Massaman curry was WAY too sweet and lacked bold flavors. Only 4 pieces of small chicken and a couple of potato pieces. Not worth the price. -Thai sampler platter was an embarrassment to Thai cuisine. Tasteless, mostly cold and doughy mess. My father in law asked for an extra sweet chili sauce (about a Tablespoon) and they charged him $1 for it. Ridiculous. -Drunken noodles were below average. Hardly any noodles or chicken and a bunch of scrambled eggs. Waste of money. To sum it up: It is a cheap knock-off of authentic Thai cuisine. They skimp in every area to try and save money, and it shows in the food quality. I live in Pensacola, and if you try our favorite place there....you would see the vast difference in cleanliness, service, quality and taste. read more

I've tried every other Thai place in Tally and this is The One. I used to work near it so it was an easy take out it, now I drive 22 minutes to get there happily because it's always perfect. Best Thai on the north side. I get takeout from here regularly. They've got great noodles. I recommend the pad thai, pad woon sen, or pad se ew. The prices are reasonable (~$13) and the portion sizes also. Their meat tastes better than many other Thai restaurants, where these other restaurants will cook meat separate to your dish and add in bland, boiled, unseasoned chicken or whatever at the end. The chicken actually tastes grilled here, and the noodles are actually wok seared. By contrast, Thai Place in Killearn's entrees are close to $20 each, and frankly don't taste very good anymore. Even the pad Thai is pretty atrocious at thai place these days, so thank the Buddha for thai kitchen. read more

I am glad to see that they are busy at 1:00 on a Saturday. I've been supporting them throughout the pandemic and it feels safe here. You can't beat the lunch specials. Today I ordered the Thai fried rice with beef. The salad came out quickly but the fountain drinks were out of order so I was brought coke in a can. This is a family owned place and the owner is the cashier, waitstaff and bus person so it is keeping her running. The Thai Fried Rice was so flavorful that I would order it again! It's been a while since we're eaten here. But they ate thankfully ordering curbside during covid so we thought we'd order dinner. Note that you can not order online, but need to call and post with credit card over the phone to get curbside. We were told it would be ready in 30-40 minutes access to park in one of the two labeled curbside spots and give them a call. Arrived 30 min later, parked, and called. The phone was picked up then immediately hung up. Thinking it was odd I called again. Same thing: answered and immediately hung up on. I B water abs tried a third time. Same thing. This haired over a dozen times over 10 minutes. So I reluctantly got out of the car, walked over Ava's opened the door. When they looked up I told them from the doorway that I've been calling for curbside and getting hung up on. They said the order wasn't ready yet but they will bring it out. So I went back to the car. Waited another 20 min then tried to call. This time it was answered and I was told it was being packed up. They did bring it out to the car. The food was quite good. Everything had a real homemade, family made quality. Egg roll was full and tasty, pad Thai was delicious as was the chicken cashew nut. The Namsod appetizer was fantastic. The one task disappointment was the Krab Rangoon. While clearly homemade, there was virtually no filling in any of them (see photo). Which was a real shame as what filling was there tasted pretty good. All in all a good dining experience. Let's hope the service issue was due to an off day. read more

Our favorite Thai takeout restaurant. The quality is good for the price (i.e. not overpriced) compared to other Thai places we visit (e.g. in Tallahassee, Boulder CO, DC, New York). Pad Thai, Drunken Noodles, Vegetable Delight, Green Curry, Pineapple Fried Rice, Pad Se Ew, they are all authentic and very good. So we keep coming back here. Ingredients are always fresh and not overcooked. Service is excellent during lunch hours. Can't comment on dinner time service, since we always take out for dinner. It is an open and quiet place with minimal decorations and minimal table settings (a bit old fashioned), so not something for a romantic evening perhaps. read more

A small honest restaurant with and older vibe. The food was amazing and the staff was very nice and friendly. I ordered the chicken pad thai and I thought it was amazing. The flavors in the sauce was the best I had in a while with the chunks of green onions complementing the noodles. There was a little bit of cabbage and carrots to give each bite a different texture profile. The chicken was very flavorful and tender. Went today for lunch and there were three tables occupied in the restaurant. One person had their laptop open and working, the other was a table of two, like mine. The place is small and quiet. I was a little shocked that there were so few people in there when parking was so full and foot traffic on the strip mall was so busy. It didn't pIr well with the overall Yelp rating. We ordered shrimp summer rolls as an appetizer and Pad Thai and Pad Se Ew (both with shrimp) as our entrees. The appetizer came out cut into coins. The flavor was really lacking as the single basil leaf didn't make it all the way into all the slices. The peanut sauce was a bit too sweet. My wife's Pad Thai was pretty gross. I've had this dish in many places, and cooked it myself throughout the years and this one couldn't have tasted more like a ketchup base had they tried. I love tamarind and this was more of a vinegar sour. Maybe it was just seasoned weirdly, but neither of us were fans. My Pad Se Ew was a bit too sweet. Almost cloyingly sweet. Neither of us finished our meals. We weren't full, but we just didn't want anymore. The server was really nice and attentive, which is why they got three stars. read more

I stopped in for a late lunch/early dinner on the way home from a work trip. I had the Panang Curry. It came with a side salad and white rice. The salad wasn't good. It was the typical couple leaves of iceberg with some purple cabbage and diced carrots. The part that went good was the dressing. The dressing was more of a mayo based ginger dressing instead of actual ginger. I'm not a fan of mayo. I ate some of it but I didn't eat it all. The curry was excellent. It had great flavor and the right amount of spice. The sauce was a little more thick than most curries I've had but it was still good. Good Thai restaurant in the Tallahassee. It is very close to I-10. Lunch special under $10. It has many traditional dish from Thailand. The dishes included drunken noodle, pad sae ew, pad Thai, grill chicken noodle bowl. This are few items are good to try. We start with chicken satay. Their satay are one of the best because of the heavy spice and good curry powder on it. It has the most nicely done grilled technique. It was good. I order the drunken noodle. The only thing they lack behind if a customer asking for Thai hot, give them the Thai hot not American hot. Overall this is good dish because they have 8 large shrimp on it for the dinner menu. My friend got the curry tofu. He like it. They have only one server that day. But she can manage it without any problems. Service is good. A lot lunch crowd during lunch hour. read more
