All the stores with construction outfront had signs so you know they're still open. The work didn't get in the way of my shopping at all.. easy to navigate. Grossmont has a good mix of top retail stores (target, Walmart, barnes and noble, dollar tree) and small businesses. I think it's value added to your shopping experience when you're able to meet business owners and see the impact your support has on a family. I hope the updates do not drive costs up and that small businesses remain. I've found great deals here when everything is just so expensive. If you have young kids, definitely go visit the playground! Avoid the overstock store. It's just not worth it. I am really looking forward to seeing the new food court. I hope it will look better and feel better when you walk inside because it just seemed so dirty for me and I didn't want to eat at any of the places. I tried one time and the place I wanted was closed. I have nothing against any individual food place. The look of the court made me uncomfortable and makes me question what I don't get to see. Anyways, I will keep shopping here and I'm glad to see money going into it opposed to tearing it down.

Decent size mall with target, Walmart, bath body works, Barnes & nobles, Verizon, ceramic cafe etc. there's a few restaurants around the center as well. It's so close to the freeway and plenty of parking. Pretty good customer service at most of the stores. I am sad that they recently closed down the cinema; such an affordable place to go when you want to watch new movie releases. So much cheaper than AMC for sure.

They have a food court, only a handful of food options to choose from. Customer service from most of the stores is pretty good. Prices varies depending on what you're buying. Several stores have sales. Plenty of parking around the structure. They are adding new stores and trying to bring life to this mall. Happy shopping!

I don't ever travel this East (15m from SD) but I had to pick up an item at this GameStop that wasn't at any of the may Gamestop stores in San Diego. This one is inside a mall... an inside mall (sorry I'm use to the outdoor malls) and didn't expect to walk inside and inside mall. The mall was near abandon but it's a nice mall and very spacious. From the outside you think it's just a few big stores but on the inside many small stores but also many vacancies. There are eateries and a food court that the local residence to go to. Surprisingly there is a movie theater inside too. Doubt I'll ever be back but it's a good to know what's out here.

It's always dirty around the exterior. Surely they could spring for a regular power washing. The parking lot is always filled with trash when I come here. To say that it's skeezy around here would be putting it mildly. I don't suggest coming here alone after dark, and it's down the street from the police station. The problem is that it's also a few blocks from an area known for drug activity as well. If you like getting hit up for money, by all means, this is the place to do your shopping. I can't recall coming by here in the last five years and not having someone ask me for cash. Not just in front of the stores, but in the parking lot, inside the store, and even in the bathroom. Nothing says "I need a fix" like begging for cash from outside the bathroom stall. Stay classy San Diego.

This shopping center has improved since COVID and now offers a variety of businesses to select from…read moreshopping to food to groceries. They have put in a Chick-fil-A, Starbucks, Jersey Mike's. panda express, in addition to the kmart spot, is now target. Oh yes and an auto parts store was built out of a portion of smart and final building. There is also a DDs location (which offers name brands for a fraction of the cost) here with Rallys. Even with these extra businesses, the parking is plentiful, and I've never had an issue finding a parking spot. It is conveniently located off of Highway 125, and you are able to catch the highway in either direction from leaving the complex. The downfall - leaving the complex as Sweetwater Road and Jamacha Road are the major exits - and NONE of those exits provide for safe entrance or exit of the shopping center. It would be nice to add a light. Drivers speed down both streets, especially during green lights, and it is sometimes quite unsafe.

And yes...I had to explore all three! Both markets were bright, clean, and incredibly well organized. One of my favorite sections was the tea aisle. As someone who absolutely loves tea, I was in heaven. Their selection is huge, with everything from loose-leaf teas to powdered varieties that you don't typically find in traditional American grocery stores. I'll definitely be back to stock up on a few new favorites. I originally stopped in to purchase a matcha whisk set, but it was a little more than I wanted to spend. That didn't stop me from finding a few treasures, though! I ended up browsing the cookware section and picked up a beautifully designed set of reusable chopsticks along with beginner-friendly M-shaped training chopsticks. One unexpected highlight was getting to try a hand massage machine. It applies pressure to acupuncture points throughout your hand, and wow--it felt amazing! I'm seriously considering going back just to buy one. The produce section also looked fresh and inviting, so I can definitely see myself returning to shop for groceries. Plus, since my sons love anime, I already know they'll enjoy checking out the merchandise store with all the fun Japanese collectibles and character items. The scrubber is very inexpensive and my new favorite tool to clean fruits and veggies.

Some people got a chance to see Johnny Depp and also John Cena walking around taking pictures with the fans. We took the trolley to 12th an Imperial trolley station and walked from there. This is definitely the party district of San Diego!!…read more Day or night, this area is rather lively. Lots of different shops, bars, clubs, and restaurants here. I was here during Halloween and it was packed with people that night. The best place to park here, to me, is in the large parking garage next to Petco Park. The whole area is best seen on foot anyhow. There are also some nice hotels here to choose from. The Convention Center and the Trolley are also here, and the Embarcadero is just a short walk away!! Had a very good time here!!

Importantly, I'm glad to see this mall is going thru some remodeling...it's coming along quite nicely and finally turning around for the better. Thank goodness for this make-over!! A Westfield Mall in Mission Valley. Very different from another one I visited on a previous trip…read more Came specifically for the currency Exchange booth to get pesos for a 3 day weekend trip to see a concert. My favorite shop here was Sea Hive. It's the only one I actually entered and made purchases at. Laid back vibe with more casually dressed local folks here than the other branch.
