I am so glad, our last minute plans worked out. After 24 hours of no sleep in Vegas we arrived at LAX super early & so tired. Although this hotel was about 45 minutes further drive from LAX it was fine the other half said. Checking in was great with front desk staff Lee. Happy with my Marriott status, the rooms were available and we got to check in earlier than check in time. Grateful for this. Also so great that I got the ground floor, no need to deal with elevators with all our luggage. Also got an upgrade to suite, thank you! After checking in to our room, we we were able to enjoy the hotel's complimentary breakfast and coffee, what perfect timing then back to our room showered and caught up on sleep! I like this Marriott location, very convenient to where we were planning to go, quiet neighborhood. There is a little shops with Starbucks, Fed Ex next door. Disneyland Resort is is just 15 minutes away, San Ana Zoo, The Outlets at Orange and Main Place Mall. Our rooms were so spacious, apartment style suites with fully equipped kithcens and separate living areas. We were in the one bedroom suite with king bed and sofabed, which was perfect for the 4 of us! There is a charge for parking, which there's plenty on property! The staff were super friendly, I didn't get the front desk staff at night, I needed front desk help before we checking out early the next day. All in all, totally recommend it here, loved our stay, if plans work out again, I will love to stay here for our future trips.

I am extremely disappointed with my experience at Orange Grove Inn…read more I booked my reservation approximately one month in advance for June 18-24 and received a confirmation email showing those exact dates. As I was traveling internationally from Canada, these dates were planned well in advance and were not flexible. Before traveling, I double-checked my reservation details to ensure everything was correct. When I arrived at the hotel on the evening of June 18, the front desk agent informed me that he could not locate my reservation. After I provided my confirmation email, he searched further and stated that the reservation in their system showed dates of June 17-23 and had been marked as a "no-show" because I did not arrive on June 17. The front desk agent contacted a colleague, who reportedly advised that someone had called the hotel on June 9 claiming to be me and requested that the reservation dates be changed. I never called the hotel to modify my reservation, nor did I authorize anyone else to do so. This raises serious concerns about the hotel's reservation verification procedures. If reservation changes can be made over the phone, there should be sufficient verification measures in place to confirm the identity of the caller before altering a guest's booking, such as asking for the phone number or email on file. To make matters worse, I was charged approximately $160 CAD as a no-show fee due to a situation that was entirely outside of my control. I was informed that the charge was non-refundable. While I understand and respect no-show and cancellation policies-I work in the hair salon industry that also enforces such policies-I do not believe it is reasonable to charge a customer when the issue appears to have resulted from an error in the reservation process and the hotel business rather than any action on the guest's part. The most frustrating aspect of this experience was arriving after an international flight only to discover that I effectively had no accommodation and was left scrambling to find somewhere else to stay. What should have been the start of a relaxing vacation became an extremely stressful and costly situation. I hope management reviews this incident carefully, investigates how my reservation was altered without my authorization, and reconsiders the no-show charge. Based on my experience, I cannot recommend this hotel. UPDATE: the hotel called me and told me that they have issued the full refund which is great, but I hope they learned their lesson to be more diligent in terms of modifying/cancelling reservations and verification measures, because being stranded in a different country is not OK and it was a stupid mistake on their end that could've been easily avoided.

Top tier customer service where pets are loved!…read more My group of three adults and one dog stayed here for three nights. I checked in early on the Hilton app and selected my room of choice. This is the one of the few times where my selected room was the actual room I received upon arrival. Each time we needed assistance, the attendants quickly tended to us without issue. We arrived at around 9pm. The attendants at the front desk gave such great customer service. Their welcome/check-in spiel was clear, informative, and did not come off as rushed. When they saw that I was staying with my dog, they immediately invited us to bring my dog to the front for her to select a complimentary toy and treat. A first out of all the Homewood Suites I've stayed at! The free breakfast selections were great - eggs, sausage, waffles, potatoes, cereal, yogurt, oatmeal, toast, bagels, etc. There is a game room with billiards, giant Jenga, Connect 4, and shuffleboard. The pool area has a ping pong table and giant chess. The 24/7 fitness room is spacious with working equipment. I would definitely stay here again for the customer service alone. Thanks for making our visit such an incredible experience.

Youtube casting worked perfectly. Plenty of parking right in front of the hotel. It all just worked out perfectly. Thank you. Oh, the 4 star is because the floor was dirty. My baby was crawling around in the room and had black hands and knees. He was eating someone else's hair so didn't feel clean. The window was really dirty. Also the air conditioner sounded like an airplane was getting ready to lift off.

We are traveling for business and do not carry large amounts of cash, nor should we be expected to when a credit card is already on file and payment was made in advance. The hotel claims this requirement is "disclosed" on Booking.com. If so, it is buried deep in the fine print, not clearly presented at booking. Most travelers would never reasonably see this, especially business travelers who rely on cards for expense tracking and accountability. The situation was made far worse by the staff's behavior. They were extremely rude, repeatedly interrupting us, talking loudly over us, and refusing to have a calm or reasonable discussion. There was no attempt to resolve the issue or offer any accommodation. Despite refusing to allow us to stay, they kept our Booking.com payment and will not release it. We were turned away for the night and lost our money entirely. This hotel operates with unreasonable policies, poor disclosure, and hostile customer service. If you are traveling for business, do not carry cash, or expect basic professionalism, avoid this place at all costs.

Service was attentive as the dining areas were cleared quickly and efficiently. The bartender at Happy Hour was welcoming and efficient woth satisfied customers throughout the evening. Five stars for service quality and professionalism! However... Unfortunately this property showed a surprising amount of wear on decor throughout the rooms and hallways. The amenities were noticeably dated. At times through our multi-day stay 2-3 out of 5 elevators were not working, causing great inconvenience for many throughout the 10 floors. The air con is set to only function between certain set temperatures. And the sign notifying guests of this was missing from our initial room. We had to change rooms anyway because our thermostat was broken. Additionally, certain ice machines were not working without signs informing and redirecting guests (normally operational every other floor)... Alas, a tough one... we are usually quite happy overall at the Embassy Suites but for this location, 5 for service and 2 for functionality, evening out to a 3 only because I was impressed by the staff. Most definitely room for improvement.

Let's start with the good: the food and bar tending staff is here wonderful- hardworking and accommodating. Happy Hour for all guests with two free drinks each within a 2-hour window. I let the bartender know that I needed some yogurt to take some medicine and would it be possible for him to grab me one from the back refrigerator. He said to give him a couple minutes and came back in five minutes with two yogurts and utensils for me! Also complimentary breakfast and omelette bar in the morning for guests. Clean bedding and pillows. Spacious room with kitchenette and dining table. Two TVs. Now for the bad: my hands felt grimy in our room. It generally felt uncleaned. Floor covered in crumbs or dirt. I left my flip flops on the entire time after my daughter said her feet were dirty walking barefoot in our room. Fan in bathroom not working. A/C not working & very hot/humid in the room. Also smelled strongly of cleaning chemicals in the room so I had to crack the slider open, letting in even more heat, but better than ending up with a chemical odor-induced migraine. Thank goodness the sliding door actually opened. There was no screen though and loud traffic and police siren noises below. Furniture falling apart in every room. Dressers were propped on shims and drawers still falling open on dressers and cabinets. Old fixtures and mismatched items and decor. No hot water for shower at night - I felt extremely guilty and like a water-waster because I had the shower running for 30 minutes to try to get it warmed up to something warmer than ice cold. After this, it finally started warming up a little bit and I was able to take a quick shower. I guess it balanced out with a really hot room to have a really cold shower. Shower seemed very old with leaky draining fixtures and a bathmat permanently covering something underneath. Bathroom floor was matched from the rest of the room and seemed older. Bathroom door and molding seemed to be made up more of paint than actual wood or particle board. Breakfast gripes: Weak, watery Folgers coffee that tastes instant was the only coffee available from a dispensing machine at breakfast buffet. Potatoes had a weird aftertaste. I managed to get a little breakfast in me by choosing some oatmeal with toppings, some cold sausage links, and the watery coffee. Indoor pool available that seemed to be getting a lot of use near the workout room on the first floor. Check in through the app wasn't working so I had to come inside to actually physically check in and get key cards. Lobby staff was friendly and helpful. Glad I didn't pre-pay $22.00 for parking on the app because you didn't have to pre-pay for parking in this lot.

A…read moresecondary reason is the Front Desk staff are not professionally sincere at the least. 1) This Holiday Inn Express is operating within an older style hotel that has single pane windows next to a very busy street where many of the residents have loud car exhausts that blast by all night long (basically it sounds like you have no window at all). This made sleeping very difficult for my family. 2) The ceiling has barely any insulation and you can hear footsteps or for us-- a baby crying, quite often. 3) The Hotel is also behind an Event Center that holds very large capacity parties, from wedding receptions, to quinceañeras. Which meant that we heard music throughout the night until midnight and people yelling outside below us. 4) The elevators omit a very loud PING sound that can be heard inside your hotel room if you stay near the Elevator. 5) Even if you request a quieter room (as I did prior to arrival), the Staff will not accommodate your request. There is also very little chance of escaping any noise here because all sides of this hotel are built relatively the same. - This is a highly unusual Hotel. The biggest issue is the Windows being single pane with this much noise outside. It will be very difficult for Light Sleepers to get any rest. The Staff: are mixed in professionalism. Some are reluctantly accommodating at the front desk, while others seem to gossip in front of you rather than check you in without 'Welcoming' you properly. Their patience is thin-- and it shows. For the price you are paying, you deserve a little respect and service --at the least! Right? This isn't exactly Motel 6. The Complimentary Breakfast in the morning is fine. You can expect a lot of sweet options, eggs, sausages and fair coffee. They promptly close up at the exact minute when it's over, so don't miss out. Overall, I am very disappointed and exhausted with this Holiday Inn Express. I will never stay in this building again. Thus, I highly recommend that you put your money to a better establishment and stay somewhere else...
