I really liked this hotel, I mean motel. My boyfriend and I went to a concert in Irvine and needed a cheap hotel for the night. After I booked on Expedia, the reviews on yelp kind of scared me. When you check in, you fill out paper with your car info, and there several signs that say no guests. (Iykyk) We got our room key and tv remote. A little ghetto but when we got into room, it was very nice. It was very clean, vibrant and welcoming.

This hotel is renovating, under new management 7 months ago. The front desk was very accommodating and helpful. He gave me a renovated room, much appreciated. However, they spent thousands on redoing the bathroom and vanity yet they couldn't replace the most obvious thing, the century dated comforters. They were old, smelly and rough on the skin.

A water pipe broke and flooded Our home and my wife and I needed a room at the last min. The Star Inn was right off the 55 fwy and the office had a open sign on in the window at 2:00am. We were worried as we had no reservation but Aaron checked us in with no problem. The room rate was reasonable and he was very accommodating and gave us a wheel chair accessible room. The room was clean and well maintained . Thank you Star Inn we will share our experience with friends.

Nancy, the owner is a very nice lady. Rooms are clean, no thrills, but what can you except for the price.

I think that, for the money, Star Inn is a great value. Less than $100 and long time family owned. Support local small business owners.

We chose this hotel because we have had positive experiences with Wyndham properties in the past…read more Unfortunately, this stay was one of the most disappointing hotel experiences we have had. Check-in was disorganized. The front-desk employee charged our credit card for the wrong room and told us not to worry because the charge would be removed within three to five business days. That was not an acceptable resolution. Our room had several problems: it smelled unpleasant, the air conditioner made a loud screeching noise throughout the night, and the refrigerator did not work. We were provided only one set of bath linens. When I called to request another set, we received two bath towels that appeared to have melted plastic on them. Equally disappointing was the service. When we contacted the office about these concerns, we were not treated courteously, and no one apologized for the errors. At checkout, no one asked about our stay or offered an opportunity to address the problems. I later contacted Wyndham and was told that, because this location is a franchise, there was nothing they could do. I am extremely disappointed by both the hotel's response and Wyndham's lack of support. This experience has caused me to reconsider staying at Wyndham properties in the future.

There were ants in my room this time, got all up inside my suitcase, which was unfortunate and annoying. Was only there for two nights so not too big of a deal. The courtyard is so fun and the food is good yet pricey of course. Chips, salsa and guac were about $19, but pretty yummy. Got the sea bass dish which was recommended by the server, I give it 4/5! Delish mashed potatoes and fish was good, maybe a little more salt needed for me on the dish overall. Happy with it though. Was about $24-$26. If you're visiting and an artsy person, I recommend stopping by the anti-mall just about 8 min drive nearby, pretty cute and a fun visit.

Our room was huge (we had the Junior Suite with a small patio) and the room appeared new and clean. It was very convenient to the dog area and fitness center. The fitness center was fairly large, with lots of equipment. There are two pools; we didn't make use of either, even though it was super-hot (for us) when we were there. Any staff we encountered was very friendly, especially the restaurant staff. We will definitely stay again!

When Spring Break calls…read more.... You certainly don't ignore it. You definitely don't reject it. And if you just happen to miss the call... You most certainly better call it back! My advice: Just pick up the phone. Well on April 7th, 2026 Spring Break hit me up and told me that Spring Break was definitely on and Huntington Beach was the place to be. Hyatt Regency Huntington Beach Resort & Spa enters the chat. ------------------------------------- Being that it was Spring break for the kids, we wanted to give them some much needed rest from school and what better way than a little fun in the sun poolside. So we put our earned Hyatt points to work and took a 3 day escape to H.B. The Parking Sitch: Of course we did our research on the hotel prior to our trip and saw that valet parking was $60 per night!! So my wife did some further research and saw that the Hyatt contracts with the H.B. Beach parking lot which is offsite and is located directly across from the resort for a lesser overnight fee (please note that it is a bit of a walk, so I highly recommended dropping the luggage and your family at the front entrance prior to making your way to the beach parking lot). There is a bridge that connects from the beach parking lot right to the hotel property. The lay of the land: This is a resort style hotel so the place is huge and it literally takes up a whole city block. Of course, there are resort style pools, hot tubs, restaurants, a spa and other resort amenities to make your getaway enjoyable. Things to do: When you are not soaking up the sun poolside or taking a dip into the pool, there are many walkable places down PCH with local eateries, shops and of course the beach! The stay: The rooms were decent, nothing special, but also nothing bad to report. The property itself is very large, we spent most of our time at the pool or chillen in our room. Overall, it was a nice getaway and we always enjoy our stay with Hyatt. So.... What's the plan for Spring Break 2027!?

The hotel, rooms, bathrooms, etc. are a bit dated but the place is of good value despite its age. The location is also prime! A bit further is the shopping mall, so you have everything within striking distance. The airport is about 15 minutes away so its close enough to get to your flight but far enough not to hear planes passing thru. I'd stay here again, but to each their own.

Although you pay $45 a day for it but that's kind of standard right? People at the front desk were great and friendly, helpful, and eager to get you into your room as quick as possible. We had brought our pet with us and they were very accommodating with that, It was only an extra 50 bucks to bring our furry friend. This particular token had a Starbucks in it which made it convenient as we were in town for a show and had to get up early to go to the event. Overall comedy experience was very pleasant and the price was actually really good.. I used the hotels.com app and was able to find a screaming deal. So definitely check that out if you're going to go. Bottom line? If I'm ever in Orange county and need to get a a room I think I would definitely stay here again. The $45 a day parking is a little steep but hey I can get it real estate in Orange county. Is that a premium.
