I came here with a friend from Severna Park this past summer. It was really hot outside so we were happy to enter the cool restaurant. Our waiter was great - super friendly - and didn't make me feel rushed, as I usually take some time with the menu. I ended up getting Pad See Ew and some Thai Coffee (I think) which were both awesome. The inside of the restaurant is super clean and cute. Moved to Annapolis 2 years ago and found Lemongrass right away. We love tai food and it's a great go to for carry out (and bonus, LG is just 2 blocks from our town house... I'm thinking, SCORE on easy access to tai!). Thought our 1st order was just okay and was surprised by its cost. After another 3-4 carry out orders, my wife and I agreed, way too expensive for mediocre food. Fast forward to 10/16/23... returned late from a weekend getaway and agreed that tai carry out sounded perfect. Decided to give LG another try after well over a year of giving up on them. 2 orders of pad tai... 1 spice level mild with veggies only, and the 2nd with shrimp ($3 extra charge) at extra spicy. At pick up, I informed the 2 team members of my name and I was there for a pick up order. Both looked blankly at me and simply walked away, returning a few minutes later, handing me a bag, again, not saying a word. I'll let you decide how to judge that. Food, once again, mediocre at best. After specifically selecting spice levels, neither had any spice. The order with shrimp added (reminder, $3 extra charge), had a grand total of 3 shrimp (I'll let you do the math on that ). $37 for 2 orders of carry out tai food (I will minimize my rant in this post about the incessant prompts to add a tip. And no, I'm not tipping for simply cooking and handing me the food I just over paid for!) Come on LG, tai food is a carry staple with thousands of restaurants nationally producing excellent food at a reasonable price. Unfortunately, you are producing mediocre food at an exorbitant price. Sorry, I'm voting with my wallet and will not be returning, and with this post, warning others to do the same. People of Annapolis, unless LG takes action to change, you are being as basic as they are if you continue to support them. read more

Always a go to during the week if we can't think of something better! We could eat here 3-4 times but that would be glutteny right? Very good! I always get shrimp fried rice for the side rice you can't pass this up, lemon grass pork or chicken is always ON, Rangoon an soup are sage bets too! Bar is tight but I always squeeze in and people accept it's a small place, so they move. Just don't miss it if your staying in town- it's definitely a local favorite and the lemongrass 2 is also just as great! read more

Ordered delivery and was on time (40-50 minutes as promised), still hot, and delicious. Ordered Crispy Sring Rolls with amazing sweet/sour sauce (total of 4 since added one additional), Asaparagus Shrimp with vegetable medley, and child's portion of Cashew Chicken and added beef. Order arrived with a side of perfect white rice...enough for 4 people. Yes, not the least expensive in Annapolis but the food and service deserves more than 5 stars. Dined for our first time ever at Lemongrass on Wednesday evening. What a wonderful experience. My wife had drunken noodles with pork and I had the cashew chicken. My wife said that her drunken noodles were excellent and my cashew chicken was as good, if not better, than any cashew chicken I've had at a Thai restaurant in the past 20 years. It was a very busy place at the 7 o'clock dinner hour but service was quite good considering the "crush" that was going on at the time. The waitress was friendly and efficient. I can recommend it with no reservations... And when I get back to Annapolis it certainly will be on my dining list for either lunch or dinner. I came here on a Friday night with a group of 8 in advance of a nearby event. There were several people eating both inside and out on this beautiful fall night, but we did not have to wait for a table. Staff was very friendly and charming. We split a series of appetizers - the crab rangoon, the chive cakes, and crispy tofu. The Rangoons were tasty, and the chive cakes and tofu were both solid. Although for me, the sauces were more delightful and flavor-full than the food itself. For dinner, we each got our own plates/bowls. I went with the Chicken Khoa Soi expecting lots of good spice and flavor. Unfortunately, while tasty and overall solid, I didn't really get much spice or flavor outside of the coconut milk-based broth and a hint of lime. The lack of stand-out flavor could have likely been my own fault for getting chicken rather than beef, pork, or shrimp, but I still left a bit disappointed that I didn't get more of a taste of the chilis. I needed to add significant spice from the spice rack to enhance the flavor of the dish. Overall I had a solid experience and would be willing to try other items on the menu. Would be OK recommending to anyone looking for some solid Thai food that is a bit averse to the traditionally infamous Thai spice. read more

4.5 I quickly questioned the authenticity when I first walked in, prepping myself for some sub-par Thai food. It was anything but. The food was delicious. We got the papaya salad with chicken satay, panang curry, and the crispy duck. All of which were delicious. Prices ranged from $7.95-16 per meal for dinner. The service was exceptional. Our server was kind enough to bring a spice rack out for us to further spice our food to fit each of our preferences. She was awesome, and very attentive. We also had a variety of drinks. I got the "My Thai Iced Tea" $8. It was made with vodka and was too strong for my taste. I was definitely feeling it a third of the way in, and had to stop. My fiance got the Java Moon - $8. Still a strong drink but more of a chocolatey/desert mixed drink. West St location. Ordered the Tilapia lettuce wraps & Chesapeake Pad Thai to go. Get back to my hotel & NO utensils & NO napkins. Lettuce wraps was basically a salad & a piece of fish... NO sauce nothing. The Chesapeake pad Thai was dry & no seasoning, spice or flavor. When I called about the no utensils she asked if I asked for utensils & napkins??? Really? So if I sat down in the restaurant would I need to ask for utensils & napkins to eat my food. She said I took it to go. I told her she shouldn't assume I went home, I came back to the room & had to go down the restaurant for utensils. 4.5- lunch was good- service was inconsistent but friendly when we did get their attention. Food was very good and I loved their lunch special prices. Servings were very large for the rice and pad Thai. we also tried the steamed dumplings and they were dry- we didn't finish them and I wouldn't recommend. Overall It's a cozy spot and I would highly recommend a rice or noodle dish! This is for the Edgewater location, which seems to be missing from Yelp. I'm in the area this week. Had a hankering for Thai food. Did pickup. Satay chicken sticks and a beef/veg dish. Wow! We went my birthday because of the plentiful vegetarian and vegan options. Everything was delicious! We started with coconut chai iced tea to drink; with crispy asparagus and spring rolls for appetizers. The asparagus was just crunchy with a flavorful sauce, and the spring rolls were quite robust of crisp vegetables. I had the drunken noodle with veggies and tofu and my husband had Chesapeake pad Thai. Portion sizes were nice and both dishes were packed with flavor that I love from Thai food. Service was awesome! Some really delicious food, nice skilled staff and management , very hygienic bathroom shared with Metropolitan restaurant next door. Believe Annapolis Mayor is still part owner...but I don't hold that against them as they have sooooo many pluses. Really hope Mayor gets back to what he is Qualified for and good at which is running restaurants, not this mini City during a pandemic. REALLY Hope Lemongrass makes it ....husband and I enjoyed many many meals at Lemongrass restaurant and enjoy their friendly capable talented staff. I remember when it used to be hookers and Johns hanging around this area ( lived on Munroe Court for 18 years worked at Loews over 20 ) before Gavin and his Partners developed this . Now....to be honest some of the hookers and drug addicts are nicer than the HUGE influx of entitled dog owners, bicyclist, joggers and artist who are running and ruining Annapolis for average people like myself. My prayer ....Save Annapolis , save Lemongrass if possible , reject trend of DOGAPOLIS it creates more and more animosity within the community . My food arrived super hot and fresh and so so delicious. The best red curry I've had in a very long time. They don't open until 5pm so we waited for about 8min in their outdoor seating area; which is also an area that's dog friendly. I was in the area and remembered this Lemon Grass location from when I worked in Annapolis back in 2006! Since then I frequented the Crofton location that has since closed I believe over a year ago, so this was a treat. I was greeted instantly by Shannon my server as soon as they opened at 4pm, she was awesome. The Sunday Happy happy hour from 4-530 pm was a pleasant surprise. Ka Pow Fried Rice Chicken had WAY too much chicken and not enough rice for my taste but good nonetheless. And they have sticky rice with mango for dessert all year round! Over the years the majority of Thai spots I've been too have all said "mango wasn't in season so they did not offer it. Happy hour on Sunday, hearty meal and dessert all reasonably priced?!?! This place. Where do I start. Let's start with food. They have no idea what Thai. Too sweet, bland, cold, and tasteless. But it's not the food that makes this place horrible. It's the service. You know I wanted to love this place. Love Thai food. The food menu and cocktail menu looked promising. The reality, service is incredibly slow. I can not imagine how bad it is on a busy night. There were only four tables inside, we were the first. Oh and only one table outside. We were approached quickly but took forever to get three cocktails. The cocktails were great and the apps ok. Lunch today at Lemongrass was excellent.  The indoor seating area is plentiful, and the outdoor patio like area can also seat a good 15 or so people. The Chicken Thai Wrap was phenominal.  Served on leaves of lettuce, it is also a very healthy and light meal.  The Tofu Soup was really good as well.  Tofu, Vegetables, and Broth. The Pad Pik Khing Chicken was really, really good.  A nice serving of Chicken, Vegetables, and White Rice. Lemongrass has an entire row of Lunch pricing for each portion, as well as a Dinner pricing.  The restaurant is conveinantly located on West Street and has ample Street or Garage parking nearby. I can't believe I've never reviewed Lemongrass. I love when places put effort into their interior decorating. The small dining area is cute and there's always tables outside when the weather is nice. You can also call ahead and pick up but be sure you call the right place! Went here with my grandmother and mom on a Sunday evening for outdoor dining. We were seated immediately. The service was excellent! My water was never left empty, and the staff constantly checked in with us to make sure we were satisfied. However, the food was over priced and not very Authentic tasting like traditional Thai food. I ordered the spicy eggplant and lemon grass pork. They were a bit too salty, and less savory and flavorful. The portions of the meat were lower than last time, and I did not get a lot of eggplant for my main dish. Our table was also dominated by flies and bees. They need to add some bug traps to their outdoor dining room, since the indoor one is closed due to COVID. read more

I recently moved to Annapolis and a neighbor raved about this Thai restaurant. We had dinner there with my neighbor this evening. I was really disappointed. It was so noisy I could not have conversation with the guests I was dining with. Apparently, an (intoxicated) friend of our waitress/manager/owner decided to drop by and make his presence known. The staff became equally as spirited making all the noise even louder. I felt like I was in a nightclub, not a restaurant. I like this place a lot more now that I've been a few times. They're the cheapest and best place for Thai food in Annapolis. The clams, chive cakes, and chicken satay are great appetizers. I always get the pad thai here and it never disappoints. The dinner portion is very large for only $12 and I always bring back leftovers. The restaurant is a little small so expect a wait on weekends during prime hours, but the service is pretty good and the atmosphere is nice. read more

My cousin & I just has dinner here and boy it did not disappoint!!! Although the place is super small the food makes it worth the wait!!! We ordered lemongrass ginger mojitos (OMG) it was delicious!!! Waited s out 1/2 hr then was seated - crammed cozy but it's okay. The atmosphere and the food helped me overcome the crammed space. I ordered stiffed wontons, fried asparagus for appetizers. The sauce I recommend you ask for it on the side. Cute little place to either eat in or carry out. Food and service were both good. Menu is quite varied with numerous selections. They also have a happy hour. There can be a wait at busy times, but it moves quickly. It is a small place so tables and chairs are very close together (I'm writing about my experience there pre-Covid), so if you don't mind hearing others' conversations less than a couple feet away, you'll be OK. Easy to get to right on West Street with limited street parking, and a public pay-for garage next door. I will go there again. read more

Really enjoyed the food at Lemongrass. We started with an appetizer which was the crispy Asparagus. It had a nice mix of sweet and spicy with just the right amount of crunch. My wife was wondering how they got it so al dente and still tender. We decided to get two main courses and split them. We had the Chesapeake Pad Thai and the Masaman Curry with seafood. The crab on top of the Pad Thai was a nice touch and added nicely to the flavor of the Pad Thai. The Masaman was also good, but similar to what I've had in other restaurants. Why haven't I reviewed Lemongrass sooner? As if this isn't one of my favorite spots for lunch! Drunken Noodles, I love thee! Seriously. Lemongrass is a small restaurant but I've never had to experience the crowding that other reviewers have mentioned because I've always gone for lunch in the middle of the day in the middle of the week. So with that, I suggest to avoid crowds, go during the middle of the week for lunch. My favorite, favorite, FAVORITE dish from Lemongrass is the Drunken Noodles with chicken. I absolutely LOVE it. It's spicy but it has this weird hint of sweetness from the basil. It is my most favorite thing from here and I can't say it enough. Some other dishes that I've tried are the Pad Thai with Shrimp and the Pineapple Fried Rice. The Pad Thai wasn't the best that I've had but it was still good. The Pineapple Fried Rice is delicious too. I want to try other things but those noodles....those Drunken Noodles keep calling me back. Thanks to all you other reviewers out there in Yelp land, I now realize that Lemongrass offers happy hour. So one day, I'm going to have to make my Lemongrass trip after work instead of during the middle of the work day. read more

We have wanted to try this place for a while, and I'm glad we finally did. This place has a great atmosphere -- outdoor seating with string lights, friendly servers, amazing aromas, and great food. We came here on a whim (AKA my husband didn't want to cook dinner). We did not have a reservation, but did not have a problem getting a table. We were given the option for inside or outside. Since it is still unseasonably warm, we decided to sit outside. Our servers were prompt and courteous. We started off with the crispy string beans, which were scrumptious. For our meals, I ordered the Ka Pow chicken and my husband ordered the cashew chicken. We were both very pleased with our meals. Make sure you try the sauce caddy - they have some very spicy sauces that can add a real kick to your meal. I would definitely recommend this place, as the servers and food were both great. We ordered the crispy beans, the cashew chicken and masama curry. The place was packed but we were seated immediately because we chose to sit at the long communal table inside. I had a Thai beer but my friend ordered a beer from the craft beer menu which was small but impressive. The crispy beans were good and had a bit of spicy kick. We seemed to have waited a long time for the main course. The two dishes came with bowls of rice. I couldn't stop eating the curry dish even though I was full. It was that good. I would order it again. The cashew chicken dish was a bit disappointing. The chicken chunks were coated but were dry on the inside and cold. I wouldn't order it again. The portions were big and we didn't finish either dish. The check came right away. read more

Lemongrass was a delicious place to eat. I ordered my favorite, crispy duck, The "duck" was clearly rectangles of white chicken, very different from the dark meat of duck with skin. It was in a heavy, super sweet sauce with a mushy breading. NOTHING like the hunks of duck with the skin on in the lightly spicy, lightly sweet sauce they were tossed in. The sauce was so light on the original Crispy Duck dish it did not interfere with the fatty, crispy skinned duck. It was delectable. The other location still does the duck dish as it was, thankfully.
