Food was absolutely delectable as well as affordable. The servers were extremely nice and attentive. The decorations were absolutely adorable and the entire vibe was super cute. Will definitely come back when in town!!

Vegtable ramen with veggie miso broth

This was my first time at this location. We ordered carry out. The service was great. I ordered the vegetable ramen with veggie miso broth. I enjoyed the variety of vegetables and the flavor of the miso broth.

takeout: Friday night. Call to pick up: about 15-30 min pick up during rush hr. Order: 1 Veg. tempura app: 5 pices: onion, 2 sweet potatoe, 2 pieces broccoli, 8 peices: Dy-no-mite roll, 6 peices: Poke Roll. First two fine, Poke- not so much, the roll was noticably off and fishy- threw it out immediately. Not sure if it was the tuna poke or the seaweed salad inside, Im familiar wiht what it should taste like, this wasnt it, but rather, inedible. I've usually stuck to my order of spicy tuna/ spicy salmon, which was fine in the past, so perhaps they'll make a concension next time. Its a low key spot when you dont feel like downtown.

We are visiting from FL, so happy we found this place! Best bowl is ramen we ever had! Service was fantastic! The decor was so cute too. We will be back next time we're here.

Edamame

Tonight was our first experience ordering from this new restaurant. (Full disclosure: we were enthusiastic patrons of the former establishment at this location, and we were sad to see them close, because then we would have to go downtown to indulge). We live just down the street and we LOVE our sushi, so it is a big plus to have a good local place. I ordered online and set a time later in the day to pick up my order. Since I exceeded $45, they threw in a free item (edamame). We enjoyed salad, gyoza, Japanese spring rolls, an assortment of maki rolls, and some pieces of nigiri sushi. All of it was very fresh and tasty. The two young women at the register were very pleasant. We will undoubtedly be regulars here now.

Outstanding food. Absolutely Delectable Gyoza and Tempura. Very nice service. Cozy. IMPORTANT: You must call to make a reservation in order to dine in due to a severe staff shortage. Dining is very limited at this time. Otherwise they do carry out, grub hub, Uber eats, and door dash.

If you're in the area and you're in the mood for some yummy sushi than this is the place to choose. It's a hidden gem and even the music is poppin!

This place is amazing the ramen is delicious & the chicken teriyaki is so yummy with the ginger salad & miso soup. Prices are good too the atmosphere is cozy. I highly recommend this place. Service is always good clean all around a great place.

Mermaid Roll and Godzilla Roll

We tried this place out since they changed from New Matsu. The sushi was great. We tried the super volcano(it was ok) the Godzilla roll was great and so was the Mermaid roll. I also ordered shrimp Yaki Soba it tasted fishy the portions were small for the price and the shrimp was way over cooked, the beef fried rice was ok still pricy for the portion amount. My opinion is If you go stick with the sushi.

They're only open for carry out
Ria R.

We drove from upper Marlboro only to find out this place is carry out only. And after the 35 minute ride, my 9 year old had to use the restroom. They told us to walk across the parking lot to CVS

We are very much Thai fans, and the possibility of a great Thai place with great sushi was sounded almost too good to be true. And it was. Perhaps it's the dearth of quality Asian cuisine here in the Annapolis area that has falsely produced such high marks for Nova, but we found our fare to be adequate at best. (Two from our dinner party opted for the descriptor of "meh") The ambiance is cute - clean, bright, with exceptionally friendly (and numerous!) waitstaff. Our servers were helpful and attentive and we had high hopes for the experience. We started with three sushi rolls: Edgewater, Yoda, and one other whose name escapes me . The rolls were good. Not earthshatteringly good - just solid. Like a dependable Chevy truck. We also tried the sizzling steak and the chicken pad Thai. Both were almost over sauced. The pad Thai had a nice sour note (a hallmark of the dish) but it almost felt like the noodles were swimming in the sauce and, in my opinion, the noodles began to break down as a consequence. The sizzling steak felt cloyingly sweet to me - but the others in the group were quite as put off as I was. Again - making the meal simply "fine" As much as we hoped to find that hidden gem - we found that we need to continue our search for Asian cuisine in the area

If you are celebrating an event, this could definitely be a cute spot for it. The restaurant accommodated 10 of us. They seated us quickly and our waitress was very attentive. She was extremely knowledgeable about the menu and made personalized suggestions for each person. Restaurant was also extremely good at handling allergies. We got a plethora of rolls across the table and most things were so good. There were a couple of rolls that were not my favorite and the miso soup was overly salty, but those two things were literally the only downsides of my entire experience. Verdict: if you're in Annapolis definitely give Tsunami a try!

The hip(per) vibe (relative to neighboring Rams Head and Stan & Joe's) attracts a younger clientele. To Tsunami's credit, two well trained bartenders can amp your drink to cocktail status. The apps and sushi are decent and affordable. Enjoyed the seaweed salad, but found our other apps just "too much": hamachi jalapeño too hot and the popcorn shrimp too fried. On rolls, would recommend the Metropolitan and Kamikaze, and skip the Scotia (just "off").

Went to Iron Rooster recently and overall had a really good experience. We started with the BBQ…read moreRooster Bites and they were honestly delicious. They are definitely lighter on the sauce, so if that's your preference these are perfect. Personally, I like my wings a little saucier, so I would probably ask for extra sauce next time. The chicken itself was fried perfectly and the portion size was pretty solid. For my main, I got the buffalo chicken wrap with no buffalo sauce and it was amazing. The lettuce, guac, and pico all tasted fresh and paired really nicely with the breaded chicken in the wrap. My only complaint with it is they go pretty light on the guac and pico, so I wish there was a bit more of both. The pricing overall was fair too and didn't feel over the top for the quality and portions. The fries that came with the wrap deserve their own mention because they were phenomenal. Crispy golden brown on the outside with a soft, fluffy inside. Honestly, I'd come back just for the fries alone. I requested outdoor seating when making the reservation and they have a really nice outdoor section with a great atmosphere and view. They did a good job with the space they had, but the tables are pretty close together, so you can hear basically every conversation around you. The chairs were also a bit smaller and not the most comfortable for longer seating. Service was great all around. Our server was very polite and even helped my very undecided sister choose her meal. Everyone was friendly and it definitely feels like a nice place to bring friends or family. My only real complaint, and honestly this applies to a lot of places nearby, is the parking. It was pretty rough. Other than that, definitely a place I'd come back to.

I had a mixed experience overall…read more I ordered the chicken and waffles. The fried chicken had good seasoning and flavor, which I did enjoy. However, the chicken was breast meat and sliced thin, which made it come across as dry. I did tell the server I liked it and didn't go into much detail since she seemed very busy and I didn't want to add stress in the moment. Still, it's not something I would personally order again. The waffle situation was more frustrating. I initially received cornmeal waffles, but I had told my server ahead of time that I strongly avoid cornmeal. She said she would substitute them, so I was surprised when the plate came out with the original cornmeal waffles. I didn't realize at first and ended up taking a bite before noticing. I let the server know and she had the kitchen remake it. The replacement Belgian waffles were overcooked and dense, so they didn't really improve the experience. The butter though was genuinely delicious, just very rich and more of a holiday-style flavor than something I'd personally crave in warmer weather. I also had a basic cup of coffee made with Rise Up Coffee Roasters, which was $4.50. That felt overpriced for what it was. I could have walked right across the street and had a specialty coffee from the source for very little extra cost, which honestly would have been the better choice. Overall, the experience had some clear issues, especially with the waffle mix-up and consistency, but it wasn't completely disappointing. I just don't think I would personally order the same meal again.

We visited Sandy Pointe State Park.. many restaurants that we wanted to eat at were either over the…read morebridge or closing soon by the time we left and Based on the 4 star reviews and 10:30 closing time we decided to eat here. Let me put this out here now. The 2 stars is for FOOD and id give 4 stars for CUSTOMER SERVICE if I could. Based on photos on reviews people praised the sushi rolls etc but my group wanted a variety of everything because well we dined with kids. Their menu consists of sushi, Thai food, Chinese food etc ... we ordered a plethora of food . shrimp tempura, chicken and vegetable tempura, kids steak.. sizzling beef w rice... sushi entree.. miso soups and tom yum soup and pad Thai. THE FOOD WAS NOT GOOD! we've dined at many sushi restaurants, Thai food places ,Chinese restaurants.. we KNOW what things should taste like and this was NOT it at all. The sizzling rice beef only good thing about it was the presentation. The sizzle and smoke show when it arrived. This dish was made with such a generic bland sauce with wierd textured beef. It was EDIBLE.. But thats all I can say. Pad thai.. my my my .. This was the most soupy orange colored looking dish with over cooked noodles. Tasted NOTHING like pad thai.. please remove this off the menu. The shrimp tempura.. tell me why on your menu you described this as lightly battered shrimp etc etc like it was hand made and dipped by you in in tempura flakes? not only did this dish come out wayyyy too fast after ordering that we KNEW once we got the shrimp tempura that this place wasnt going to be good. The shrimp tempura was clearly frozen and the horrible coating that you usually get with frozen shrimp tempura from the store was thick and shrimp was skinny and inedible. idk if this was microwaved but i doubt they even fried it since it literally came out in 5 min after ordering. Costco shrimp tempura in the freezer section would of been way better than this. My kids barely touched this dish and they LOVE shrimp tempura so much. Please change the description on your menu. It makes it seem like you would be dipping and coating your own shrimp tempura when in fact this is frozen and coated in a thick bread batter not in a nice light tempura flakes batter.. the sushi! OMG.. The sushi Entree was horrible. The fish looked like play dough .. i felt bad for my husband .. the sushi was not fresh idk where they get their fish from but the sushi looked as if it was "Play sushi " the colors were off.. My husband said there was something off about the taste and we could see it. We've dined at many sushi restaurants from high end to $ sushi restaurants.. We've even had sushi in Korea,& Japan.. the texture, the look of the fish pieces this was inedible and not sushi. Would not recommend. Tom yum soup.. very orange.. very concentrated needed more water and the shrimp were diced in small pieces. Maybe used 2-3 shrimp and this cost $7. There was only a sour taste and no spice to it at all. Don't recommend if you know me I HATE wasting money on bad food. The reviews definitely tricked us into coming here. The only thing I felt like was a 7/10 was the sushi rolls which had spicy tuna , shrimp tempura, and all the sauces on top from eel sauce and spicy mayo. That was the only dish I felt like tasted fine. The Chinese, Thai and sushi dishes were not good and this place is crossed off my list of restaurants. It sucked knowing once we got our first dish I just knew the dishes coming after the shrimp weren't going to be good and my entire group agreed.. so disappointing. Almost $80 down the drain for my family and i. if you're going to have a variety of different cuisines on your menu please perfect them. Otherwise focus on ONE because non of the dishes tasted good. or authentic to how it should've tasted or been made!. 0 stars if I could. SMH . we left 1 hour before closing no other customers in the restaurant after we arrived around 830pm They were counting the registers by 9pm. They close at 1030pm. That should tell you something.. Came home to a bad stomach ache . I'd rather have that then food poisoning so .. took pepto bismol and called it a night
