The conveyor belt was super fun because you could watch it as it went by and pick up whatever garnishes you wanted. Green onions, mushrooms, parsley, cilantro, cauliflower ... I could go on and on. We came at about 5:30 on a Saturday and we're seated right away but by the time we left around 6:30 the place was poppin' and there was definitely a wait. This place offers a set price for Hot pot and is buffets style as well as conveyor belt delivery for veggies; you just swipe what you want. You start by picking a soup of choice and then you gather the food you need, cook it yourself in the pot and there are instructions and available on the wall for cooking times. It's relatively straightforward. Be careful with how much you grab as they will charge you for any excessive leftovers. I got the tom kha and my fiance got the tom yum. He found his soup to be a little on the lemony side for his taste but I think that's just a preference not a reflection of the quality of the soup. I loved my coconutty tom kha. Our waiter showed us how to operate the dial and gave us information about cooking time recommendation. We ordered some hot tea and had a wonderful time. The buffet appeared to be clean and the food fresh and well kept. I tried a variety of meat as well as seafood. The shrimp had a little bit of a previously frozen kind of taste but the scallops were excellent. I think in the end I'm not a big fan of the red meat even though it cooks quickly and tastes fine I just think preference wise I more so enjoyed loading up on the vegetables and noodles. Amazing every time! Lemongrass is my favorite hot pot in the area - others try, but none as good as lemongrass. The quality is top notch, the service great as always, the restaurant looks recently redone with new chairs, flooring, and meat bar. What really makes this place good is the broth, whatever broth you pick it's simply delicious - I usually get the Tom yum or the signature base. Decided to give this place a try despite being loyal to a different hot pot restaurant for the last few years. Came here around 630 on a Sunday and while it didn't seem overly busy, most of the tables were occupied. We were seated right away. Since there were just two of us they seated us at bar style seating along the conveyor belt. As I looked around, I realized every party of two was seated this way, as most of their tables were for 6 people with a few for 4. I didn't exactly dislike sitting this way, but because you are facing people seated the exact same way on the other side of the conveyor belt, it creates this kind of communal seating situation. Not bad, but it's nice to have your own area when doing hot pot. But I did make friends with a lady across from me so that was cool. One of the things that really turned me off about this place and I didn't feel like any of the reviews on here clearly stated it, is this: there is a sign at the door that states you will be charged extra for excessive waste. While I appreciate this because I abhor the idea of wasted food, it also hung over me the whole me. Like when I saw something I had never tried before but was nervous if I grabbed it and didn't like it, would I be charged for it? It was just a strange feeling and it prevented me from trying new things. Another turn off was that after we had been there for maybe an hour, the waitress brings our check over. It was odd because we weren't done eating. We had taken a break from our soups to have some ice cream as a "palate cleanser" lol, and so I don't know if she assumed because we were having dessert that we were done. But it was still an assumption since even if we were eating ice cream, we weren't done with it. I don't think this has ever happened to me before. It's not like we were just taking up the space unnecessarily while people were waiting. Not sure if she was just trying to be efficient, but it definitely rubbed us both the wrong way. I liked that they had some different options like lotus root, daikon and taro...? Drink options were limited to a few beers and few uninspired sakes and some soft drinks, yet no ginger ale. Ultimately, we prefer the broth flavors, more extensive options, tables and welcoming, friendly staff who actually enjoy having you there at a different hotpot place and don't plan to come back to lemongrass. It's a pretty cool system. My kids had a blast making and cooking their own meals. The food quality was pretty good and I love that I was able to make a custom made meal that was full of healthy proteins and vegetables. The only thing I didn't love was that the broth wasn't all that flavorful and that there werent more sauce and topping options. I liked the house sauce they brought, but it would have been cool if there were several more options, including something spicy. The bill, including tax and tip, came to $162 for 2 adults and 3 kids. It is an all you can eat style restaurant, but that's still kind of steep in my opinion. While we had a good time and enjoyed ourselves, I likely wouldn't return any time soon simply because of the very high price. read more

Still had to wait but we were a larger party so it made sense. I got the #7 menu item as the base the really spicy one and it was nice. I just did that with some ramen in it. It was good and had a nice kick to it. I'm not a huge fan of cooking the meats etc so I stuck to mostly ramen but my company either loved or hated certain meats. Typically, when I go to an ethnic restaurant, I look to see if the people that frequent that restaurant are also part of that ethnic group. This place has a large Asian following so I figured you can't go wrong. I've been to this place numerous times and I haven't seen anything like it before. I'm always greeted by a gentleman at the door and ironically, he always brings me to the same area and I'm sitting at one of the same two tables all the time. As they lead you to the table off to your left, you'll see all the proteins that they serve and off to the right where all the seating is. As you're being led to your table, you'll notice a conveyor belt filled with different types of vegetables. I compare it to a Miss America contest, but instead it's a beauty pageant of vegetables. Once seated, the server comes around, takes your order, and delivers your broth to your table within seconds. Go up to the buffet area grab your proteins and bring it back to your table, Within 3 to 5 minutes, you will be eating a delicious meal. Most Asian restaurants serve food with so much salt in it. You have to drink gallons of water. When you leave this place, you don't feel like you've taken a bath in salt. Everything is fresh, delicious, buffet style, and $35 per head. I freaking LOVE this place so much! Every couple of months I get the urge to come back here, so I've been here a few times now that my review is needed. Every single time I am completely satisfied with my dining experience. I've been to other hot pots, but this place blows them out of the water! You don't have to wait for a waiter to serve you the food to cook, as this is a buffet (the best in my opinion!) You select your broth flavor upon arrival, and the rest is in your hands! It is all you can eat, so you really do get your money's worth. They legit have the best dumplings out there. I am always on the hunt waiting for the little bowl to come around on the conveyer belt. I love that you get to choose your own ingredients, meats, and sauces! There is soooo many different proteins to choose from, that there is something for everyone's palate. Came here on a date. In comparison to the hotpot on gateway, this experience felt unsatisfying. The seafood (clams/crawfiah/etc.) were extremely small. The younger server guy was extremely awkward and made the whole experience really weird. I wanted to try out pig brain for the first time and told him there wasn't any left because a puddle of juice left and he told me he checked and that there was. I also told him it was my first time there, and his response was, you sure know how to pick all the most expensive items for your first time. He kept trying to rush us out. My date barely ate anything too. Broth tasted a bit too watery. Frozen meats cooked off chewy texture. The frog legs were good though. Fixed price for your own burner, pick your base broth and all you can eat from their selection. They have a standing station with pork belly, beef, chicken... Scallops, shrimp, calamari, clams, mussels, and more. Some vegetables, fruits, and some desserts. They also have a sauce station and a fridge with different ice cream flavors. While seated, you also can pick from the conveyor belt things like udon or ramen noodles, different types of mushrooms, vegetables, etc. The good thing about each having its own burner/ broth is that you can keep any dietary preferences/ restrictions separate, and customize your food as you want it. As they get busy, service is a bit slow and refills are sometimes late or just not offered at all, but they do a heavy pour of wine so 1 glass has been enough, but would have liked more water.
