My family went to Ramen Lab Eatery for my niece's 15th birthday party last weekend. When you walk in you feel like you're in an anime movie. The decorations are colorful and the restaurant is clean. Our server was excellent. She was helpful with the menu and attentive without being overbearing. Just as last time, the ramen was delicious but the pork belly was a bit tough. We also enjoyed the spicy ribs, wings, and bao buns. Overall, the food is very good. The downside for us are the prices- $14 for five wings and $12 for a side salad, for example. We eat here all the time and tonight was so disappointing. The last few times we've gone the staff has forgotten to bring our drinks. For it being my first time, it was amazing! The lychee tea boba was amazing. The wagyu dumplings were ok, tho I wouldn't get it again. Ramen was great, the egg was great! The shrimp was also good, only negative would be the chicken. The cheesecake so so fluffy and good, tho I next time I wouldn't have the strawberry sauce on it. Great experience! I did the happy hour right before picking up my older daughter from her school. I felt like the ambience here is very relaxing and quiet here. I can picture myself coming here with a friend coming for a quick happy hour in the future since you can actually talk to the person you're with. Most restaurants are just too loud. We went for the chef's robatayaki tasting menu. The restaurant is casual, but for this event they set aside a group of tables with tablecloths. It started with 4 different vegetable preparations. After that there was a very large chicken wing, 3 skewers of meat, 3 seafood items, and a little dessert. I appreciated that they tried to bring us what they learned in Japan including some unique items like the ika tentacles and both Australian and Japanese wagyu beef. We left very full! If any of these items get to the regular menu, I would reorder the mushrooms, wagyu, shrimp, and miso seabass again. The ika tentacles and chicken wing were my least favorite items. We were told that they plan to offer these special dinners a few times a month. Note: we had to book and prepay on Eventbrite; at the restaurant we were informed that tip wasn't included. I came here for their Snow Bunny Boba but ended up trying some of their food. I got the Bao Bros Chicken Karaage Buns and it was the worst Baozi I've ever had. The chicken was super dry and seemed old. I didn't like the sauce they used or the veggies honestly (I love my vegetables especially carrots but..) the best part were the buns itself. On the contrary their SnowBunny Boba was really good. I got the Matcha Milk Tea and my companion got the Ube. We loved the tea, it tasted great! The tapioca balls were a 3/5 though. Kitty Boba's tapioca balls are a 5/5 -- they're fresher and tastier and perfectly chewy ( they make them fresh in house daily) but their tea is a lacking. We went during the early afternoon around 1pm and it wasn't busy. The Boba guy at the counter was nice, and greeted us as we entered. Our server was ok she was attentive enough but we had to flag her down at one point even though it wasn't busy at all. The lack of business could also explain why my chicken looked and tasted like it was just sitting there all day, not freshly made at all! I gave them 3 stars because of the Boba and The awesome decor. I'm a big anime fan so I love that it seemed like an Otakus' dream eating spot from the Naruto menu to the large Aang and Goku Hologram frames, they even had Astro Boy playing on the TVs. The Gundam light and the anime wallpaper that lines the restroom hallway with all sorts of anime. I was invited to a special, private event to preview their new summer menu items - What the Flavor where they will add new menu items each week. In this small group of 20, we tasted upcoming new, creative menu items with brief narratives from the chef/owner explaining each dish. The first item was a spicy tuna sashimi on a crispy rice cake - small, only 1-2 bites but the flavor was amazing. I could have eaten 6 but knew there was more coming! The app was a crispy chicken parm Bao Bun. The bun was so soft and tender. The sauce had an Asian spin with the addition of soy sauce. Messy, but a fun fusion. There weree 3 entree tasting. First, there was a cold ramen with roasted pork chunks, corn and house pickled veggies. Subtle, amazing flavors. Next up was Hot Honey Chicken and Mochi Wafflle - another fun fusion. Tasty - but beware - the sauce really brings the heats! The final entree was Beef Bulgogi Philly Cheesesteak. A fusion using bulgogi sauced meat in a sub bun that had been toasted crisply to hold in the goodness, The evening finished with Ichigo strawberry cupcake. By then, I was so full and happy that I can hardly remember it, except for appreciating a little sweet bite at the end. NOTE - these items are not available but will be appearing on the menu over the summer with Wednesday releases planned. Gotta go every week to sample the new items! 4 Stars for kind service and good food. I came here with a group of 5 people total and were sat immediately (at a 4-top with an extra chair added to the end). We were looking for a quick meal and some drinks. Quick note- they do not have a full bar, just beer, wine, and sake. We got a sake that had a lovely coconut finish on it and I could have had three more, but I protected myself from the hangover that would have caused. Things we really enjoyed: - loaded kimchee fries: These are a bit spicy, but oh so delish! - gyoza: YUM - The aforementioned sake. Ask your server and mention the coconut and they'll find it for you! A few things I'd note is that the ambiance is fun, but loud. They would definitely benefit from some sound-dampening panels. Also, I was there with a vegetarian and it was a bit tricky because certain tofu dishes listed are definitely not vegetarian (ex: age dashi tofu- Dashi by nature requires bonito flakes, which come from fish. also they have bonito flakes listed in addition on the dish.) With that being said, they have a vegan ramen option, but I'd love if they'd mark which dishes are vegetarian-friendly because those who don't know what bonito flakes or dashi are would potentially eat fish without realizing it. Came to Ramen Lab for happy hour for the first time on a Tuesday. Was pleasantly surprised that it wasn't too crowded and they had Bingo which was super fun! Admittedly, I went about a month ago and am just now posting this review, but the service itself didn't seem incredibly memorable. Not great, but also not bad. We got the chicken karaage bao buns, burnt ends kimchi fried rice, the salmon wonton tacos and two drinks. The bao buns were probably the highlight of the meal. The bun was really soft which was a nice contrast to the crispy chicken. I was most excited about the kimchi fried rice, but the pork belly was not at all crispy, and the rice was pretty dry. Although I cant remember what I paid exactly, I certainly remember it being a bit expensive, even for a happy hour. The food was pretty good, but nothing to write home about. I think most people probably go here for the ambiance/theme of the restaurant itself (which doesn't do much for me personally). I cant see myself craving ramen lab, but wouldn't decline if someone invited me out. read more

Upon entrance it feels like a fairy tale, very pretty, atmosphere is calm but energized and the staff all seemed very welcoming as I waited for a take out order. We are fans of the other Ramen Lab Eatery restaurants in Delray and also in east Boca, so I was excited to hear about this new location in west Boca. We were invited to the grand opening celebration. They had entertainment -- dragon dancers, stilt walkers, fire dancers, music, and video photographs. And they had samples -- spicy tuna on crispy rice, gyoza dumplings, salmon on crispy rice, ube boba milk tea, champagne with boba and even a choice of two beers. All were delicious. We also ordered their yummy crispy pork belly burnt ends. The bowl of burnt ends comes with some thinly sliced cucumbers -- which is a good pairing. We got to have conversations with several different couples seated near us. They live in west Boca and are thrilled about this new location. One couple was extremely impressed with the food they'd ordered (I told them my favorite was the duck ramen and they tried it) and felt the prices were quite reasonable, as well. What a treat! My wife and I were invited to a Grand Opening evening filled with entertainment. The food was spectacular, Crispy rice with Spicy Tuna, Gyoza, crispy rice with Salmon and Pork Belly Burnt Ends. The serving staff did an excellent job with the large crowd inside and out. Had the BEST service we've had in a restaurant in years! I cannot say enough good things about our waiter, Kai, the bus boy with the super curly hair and the great manager with the double braids. My son and I ordered Boba. Fantastic! The matcha was recommended by Kai and it didn't disappoint. I usually don't care for matcha but it was very good. My son is a boba aficionado and he said it was perfect. We got dumplings and the nana wings (Tamarind version) to start. Both were excellent! The dumplings could have been a bit warmer, but the flavor was there. The wings were crispy, not oily and the sauce had great bold flavors. I got the 5-spice duck ramen. One of the best I've had. Great flavors, duck not too fatty and the noodles were very good. Again, could have been a bit hotter but nothing I would send them back for. The decor was SUPER funky and anime-ish. No spills, extra utensils and sauce. I ordered Beef Shoyu Ramen and the one thing that threw me off was that the noodles were pink haha. The taste is normal but the color is unique. We started with some sweet and sour chicken wings. They were unreal. You must try them. The crunch on those baddies alone will bring me back. Next we had some pork bao buns. Also delicious but not my fav. Next my hubs and I both had the tokansu ranen with pork belly. So pork belly has like a layer of fat and I didn't know that, that's on me, but just letting you all know that's there. The noodles in the ramen are so fresh.
