Visited downtown Livermore for the first time and opted to try out Lemongrass Thai for dinner. The restaurant itself is pretty average and has a good amount of seating. Customer service was friendly and attentive, and the menu options were pretty good and extensive. Now for the food, we ordered the fresh rolls as an appetizer along with the special prawn dish, spicy eggplant with tofu, and basil fried rice. The fresh rolls were tasty and had a good amount of veggies, I especially enjoyed the peanut dipping sauce as it paired well with the appetizer. The special prawn dish was okay, I felt it was a bit bland, and didn't have a good variety of vegetables. It tasted alright with rice but I was hoping for more flavor. The spicy eggplant was quite disappointing and didn't have any spice at all. It was nothing to rave about and I did not enjoy eating it. The basil fried rice was possibly one of the better dishes, but overall our meal was very underwhelming. While customer service was pleasant and satisfactory, I will say portions of each dish was good and we had leftovers. However, the meal was not very good, and I was hoping for more flavor. I was surprised that we were not asked about spice level when ordering our food, as that may have helped a bit with the overall flavor or quality of the food. I generally enjoy eating Thai food and this dining experience was not the best unfortunately. I was hoping the entrees would be more tasty. Sadly, I am not sure if Lemongrass Thai is worth visiting. It may be best to try out a different cuisine if you're looking to dine in downtown Livermore.

The food here is really good! I would say it's the best Thai in town. Though I will say Ros ni yom is right there with this place flavor wise. The portions are smaller at Ros ni yom. I don't remember the exact names of our dishes but we had rice, noodles and a beef. All were packed with flavor! Serving sizes were good for the price. Service was quick and friendly. They have indoor or outdoors seating. Highly recommend!

Ordered the chicken pad thai. Not much chicken. More egg and tofu than chicken. Flavor was spot on, but, not worth $14.95. The spring rolls were good and worth it for $17.95. My husband got the Cashew Nut Chicken for $17.95 and had more chicken than me. I dont see us coming here anytime soon with these prices and quality.

Pad Se Eww was delicious! Flavorful umami and good balance between noodles, veggies, and protein. Large portion so had a small leftover for later that night. Servers are attentive and we were seated fast even for a large group. Lots of space inside and lively Saturday night atmosphere.

This is my go to Thai place in Livermore. The ambiance is relaxing & laid back. It gives a homey vibe. The service is always amazing here. They're attentive & fast. The food is very tasty we ordered Tom Yum. Chicken Satay and curry and roti. It's so good!!!! Everything is always fresh, full of flavors and not too spicy. If you are in this area you got to try this place out. It will not disappoint

The food was fresh and delicious. When you take a bite of the rice, you can instantly tell it's fresh because it doesn't stick to your mouth and was soft. The spring rolls were tightly wrapped and easy to grab and dip with the lightly sweetened peanut butter sauce. Egg plants were also yummy with the veggies and the shrimp dish also. The service was good and our waters were refilled promptly. If you're in Downtown Livermore and crave some Thai food, definitely check this place out !

    Sticky rice $4 for this

So insanely overpriced. A palm size serving of sticky rice $4 and a tiny cup of extra peanut sauce $4 is crazy. All the portions are small but this is such a rip off

    Old steamed rice

I ordered the lunch green curry with white rice from Lemongrass in Livermore, and this was hands down one of the worst meals I've ever had. The curry was unbelievably salty--so salty it was almost inedible. But the absolute worst part was the rice. The "white rice" they gave me was clearly old, dry, and chewy, like it had been sitting out for days. I literally couldn't even eat it. When I called the restaurant to let them know, instead of apologizing or trying to make it right, they blamed the chef for using yesterday's rice--as if that made it any better. The lack of professionalism was shocking. If your staff admits they're serving old food, that's a huge problem. I will NEVER eat here again. Completely unacceptable and incredibly disappointing.

Came here with my boyfriend on NYE just to find some place that was still open for the night in downtown Livermore and the sole waitress was very accommodating, allowing us to dine in 15 minutes before they were about to close. What we got: shrimp pad thai (2/5) -- way too sweet, I couldn't taste any of the other flavors that typically go on in pad thai green curry (3/5) -- subtle heat, decent flavor, but some of the vegetables were overcooked and there wasn't much meat..also why so expensive just for a side of rice? I was expecting rice to come with the dish itself because you can't eat curry without rice Before tip, the total was ~$52, which to me, is not very worth it for an average tasting meal. Service was good, but I would try out other places when I'm in the area next time.

The first thing that caught my attention when we walked in was all the beautiful plants hanging from the ceiling. Such a cute and memorable atmosphere! We ordered three dishes: green curry, papaya salad, and Pad Thai--and honestly, all three were a hit! We opened everything once we got to the winery, and maybe it was the beautiful scenery, the wine, and the fresh air... or maybe the food was just that good Either way, it tasted absolutely amazing. The green curry was rich and flavorful, the papaya salad was refreshing, and the Pad Thai was delicious. Three dishes, three wins! I'd definitely come back next time I'm in the area.

The chicken pieces were really thick and unseasoned, and the color of the peanut sauce threw us off a little. We struggled to eat it. For the mains, we ordered the green curry with white rice, basil fried rice, and pad kee mao. The fried rice was so heavy on tofu that there was barely any rice, and the pad kee mao was mostly vegetables. The green curry and rice were decent. However, the white rice was a little undercooked in some bites, and the curry was pretty spicy. We got everything medium spice, and we can usually handle spice, but the medium was insanely spicy. Maybe that's on us, but it was so spicy that it was hard to taste the other flavors. We ended up getting a Thai iced tea to combat the spice, and that tasted decent. The decor was cute, and the ambiance was nice, but the food was lacking, and the prices were pretty high. Service was okay, but I probably wouldn't come back.

Fit 2-3 families and a couple of people at their bar like seats. We brought our stroller in and it was a terrible idea. Staff was very nice and tried to accommodate us though. Anyway, my husband got the Krapow Kai Dao and I got the Kao Kha Moo and a Thai Tea. My husband said the krapow was fine. It gave is about a 7.5-8/10. Flavors were good but just not the best he's had. I think he prefers his spicy but they only do medium spice here which wasn't very spicy at all. I really enjoyed the Kao Kha Moo though! Very solid dish. Great sweet (not overwhelmingly) and savory dish. Meat was cooked perfect and broke apart easily with a fork. Some of the most tender pork I've ever had. Personally, a 10/10 for me. Thai tea was just okay and I don't think I'd get it again. I do prefer my Thai tea on the creamy side. Overall, if you're not coming in a large group this was a nice spot to stop by. Right next to a gas station with plenty of parking.

They were so happy we dined in which is a nice feeling. We started with fried eggrolls which was delicious. I like how they are long and aren't cut in half. I do wish they served fish sauce with the eggrolls as opposed to sweet chili sauce. I enjoyed my grilled pork chop plate, but I was hoping it would come with a sunny-side egg on top of the rice as a standard. The pork chop is pretty small too; I wish they were bigger pieces like at most Pho restaurants. Nonetheless, it was so good and paired perfectly with their house made chili oil. My wife loved her combo pho which had a nice, tasty broth, generous portions of beef and other meats, etc. Lastly, my son loved his kids rice & beef; the beef was sweet like bulgogi. I think every table should automatically have the chili oil on deck though because it enhances the flavors and just tastes delicious. If it wasn't for the employee offering us the chili, we would've never known. We had a great time and will definitely keep coming back especially since it's on the way home. I highly recommend this restaurant to the public! We'll be back!
