I ordered the philly cheese steak wrap with light onions and light green peppers, I got none of either the steak was bland and dry with what seems like steakum meat, just yucky. My daughter had the chicken salad and it was played messy. She liked the chicken salad, but she had asked that no olives be in the greens, but the put them in anyway. Located in Miami Design District's Buena Vista is this beautifully decorated restaurant offering a wide variety of options on the menu to choose from. I went to Lemoni Cafe recently for a late lunch on a Sunday afternoon. The place is small, but there are several outdoor tables on the sidewalk. We arrived and were seated immediately. To start, we shared the Greek Plate which comes with hummus/tahini, feta cheese, grape leaves, calamata olives, marinated roasted red peppers, pepperoncini and pita bread. The dish was fresh and delicious and the portion sizes are generous. We then shared the Beef Gyro and my friend had a soup. The gyro was also very good. For dessert we had capuccinos which were also tasty. My only complaint about the experience was that the service was noticeably slow. Even though it was a Sunday, and we weren't in a rush, we definitely waited around a lot despite the restaurant not being busy. With that said, i'd definitely visit Lemoni again. read more

I live in the neighborhood and was a casual regular. I would order here atleast 3-4 times a month. The food I was always in love with and the service. The last few orders I have made were absolutely horrible. I'd give them a couple more times to redeem themselves, but unfortunately that failed. They would give me the wrong order and mistakingly forget avocado (when it's an extra charge) more than twice. Sometimes you forget how much you like something and it takes way too long to find your way back. I'd enjoyed Lemoni but hadn't returned in such a long time. I was overdue for a visit and decided to stop by to experience some of the upgrades. It was such a pleasant surprise to find the usual warm greeting. The menu seems to have expanded and they now offer dinner. I lunched on a delicious chicken and spinach panini with a small salad. We were treated to a sample of their delicious smoothies and I'll probably order one of my own next time. The service was pleasant, attentive, and quick. In the same sleepy, quiet neighborhood as Mandolin and just across the street from the Buena Vista Bistro and Buena Vista Deli, Lemoni adds a delicious option for smoothies, paninis, soups, etc. Buena Vista is holding it down as a silently blooming restaurant destination. We started off with some stuffed grape leaves which were absolutely heavenly. I had the Monday Special of the Turkey Burger Panini. I heard Lemoni Cafe have some vegan options, so after taking my car to have their oil change, I decided to stop here to have my tank fill-up. It was Saturday, lunch time. Parking was a breeze behind their building. Sweet. The place its charming, really charming, tiny of course, and I really dig their vibe with the Spanish rock playing. The waitress was very helpful with her recommendations, a big plus. They have a menu call Conscious Cuisine, which I found really cool, with an array of vegan pizzas and some other stuff that right now eludes me. I ended up having a Portobello Paninni, that comes with a salad and a vegan strawberry cone for dessert. My only complaint. They just carry soy milk (Soy its a big No-No in my book) as an alternative for their coffee. Not sure what took me so long to "discover" Lemoni. Fear of being run over by a Haitian driver perhaps? Ouch. Had to go there. No really, I liked this charming little cafe and I love that they offer a few vegan options. What they should also add is some gluten-free corn or brown rice tortillas instead of all the wheat breads and wraps. My daily special, a grilled faux meatball panini with vegan mozzarella, portabella mushrooms and marinara sauce, was totally delicious. The vegan cheese was actually really good, as was the faux meat made from oats and coconut. Sounds strange, but with the marinara sauce and smoky mushrooms, it worked. Their dessert offerings are great (brownie a la mode, cheesecake, bread pudding and vegan cupcakes). I am a bread pudding feen. Their cinnamon raisin version with nutella is legit, right up there with Morgan's, Blue Collar and City Hall. And for $6 you get a huge portion. I am not a big fan of raisins and usually prefer some sort of fruit or chocolate in my bread pudding, like Morgan's does. I also didn't notice any nutella in it but overall it was still a very good traditional BP. I'd pay them a visit just for that (and probably will). read more
