We're always on the lookout for a special splurge worthy Miami Sunday Brunch, and Little Hen is one of the most highly recommended popular spots. Finally, today was the lucky date! We made a reservation last week and chose indoor seating, due to the Miami summer heat and humidity. The patio is SO very GoRgEoUs! The lush flowery landscape and canape are TDF...like a victorian lady's fever dream. Plush outdoor couches, beautifully appointed table dressings, WOW! We were sat immediately by the friendly chatty staff in the beautiful dining room. Our waitress is "Precious", well named. She steered us right add recommended drinks and the like for our taste. Table water will cost you $1 per person. I asked what type of vodka they have. It is "wine vodka?!" She states it is "wine based", so from grapes (decidedly NOT vodka haha) I choose an espresso martini, entirely delicious, but small and without the usual three coffee bean garnish. Pricy, but I'd get it again. Hubby gets a special coffee and a Bloody Mary. The latter came with shrimp, bacon & veggie, celery. He loved it! Timing was great, no rush tho it's busy. Wait staff Precious brings water for our service animal Ashoka, who dutifully remained hidden undertable, as always a very good girl! I got Chia pudding for my first time, small and pricy, but very enjoyable. Hubby had steak & eggs. He also enjoyed it thoroughly! We really enjoyed our posh brunch today at Little Hen. I recommend it for a fine splurge, but at around $100 for two, it's a special occasion deal. The food is better than expected for such an aesthetic place. Ngl though it still felt like a tourist trap. Everyone around us was def from out of town. The biggest tell for me is when you get kicked out immediately after eating. Several people at our table ordered their tea tray, which is very cute but very overpriced for what you get. For how much we spent, I would hope we would be given some grace, but very shortly after finishing we were told to leave. Personally I consider this unacceptable. Food was good, but wouldn't recommend.
We were so looking forward to dining here and we were not disappointed. Everything was great! The food. The service. The atmosphere. I just wish this place wasn't so far away!
The food at Little Hen never misses. Service is always fast, extremely sweet staff and the ambiance is perfect for a group brunch where you are your group can dress up nice and enjoy some incredible food. Can't go wrong here with their eggs, pancakes and French toast, those are my top three items, check em' out! Steph approved!
I really wanted to love Little Hen Miami because it truly is such a cute, aesthetic spot. The décor is beautiful, very feminine and picture-perfect especially for something like a baby shower, which is why we chose it. Unfortunately, the experience didn't match the vibe. Some people , though it states they enforced dress code, were allowed in sweats, crop tops, ripped jeans, which is fine of course but maybe don't mention dress code is enforced then when it's not. We were seated outside, and the outdoor fan close to us wasn't working. We had two pregnant women in our party, so the heat made things uncomfortable. On top of that, the service was very slow. Our server barely checked in, and we had to repeatedly flag someone down to get assistance while staff was chatting it up inside. The cones for the tea party arrived about 40 minutes after the rest of the food, even though we were told it would only be 20 minutes. (It disrupts the whole flow of the experience for sure). The sever did apologize. She was nice throughout too. What was most disappointing, though, was how my service dog situation was handled. The manager came to tell me my service dog couldn't be on my lap and kept repeating that he couldn't be "on the furniture." I explained that he is a trained service dog who provides pressure therapy for my anxiety. I also offered to show him his documentation to which he replied that he doesn't need to see it and that it doesn't matter what tasks he does and he has to be on the floor. (My service dog is very calm, quiet, and not bothering anyone). Being approached that way felt uncomfortable and unnecessary while it's of course also not compliant with ADA law...seems the manager needs training urgently. Also worth noting: they don't offer hot water refills for tea, which is surprising for a tea-focused spot, especially since most other high tea places do. It's definitely a beautiful place for photos and special occasions, but between the slow service, lack of check-ins, outdoor fan setup issues, and how the service dog situation was handled, it just wasn't the experience we hoped for.

It's very aesthetic and definitely a perfect brunch place for the girls. This place is almost always busy so make a reservation and be on time. We were a little late and lost our table, but we were able to get another one about an hour later, which honestly was not too bad considering how packed it gets. I ordered the steak and eggs. The steak was flavorful and cooked well but for about $40 the portion felt a little small. The truffle fries were great and the rose pancakes are a must order. If you like fruity pebbles, they taste like fruit pebbles.

Service * Friendly and attentive staff * Relaxed, unhurried pace on a weekday morning * Smooth walk-in experience Food & Drinks * Lychee Martini - light, floral, and fun, finished with a rose petal; a nice brunch cocktail * Short Rib Beef Benedict - decent but underwhelming; the short rib lacked the rich, fall-apart tenderness you'd expect, and the overall flavor didn't quite pop * Menu felt a bit scattered, making it harder to identify true standouts Verdict Little Hen excels in atmosphere, location, and presentation, making it a pleasant stop during a Wynwood or Design District outing. If the kitchen sharpened flavors and refined a few key dishes, this could easily be a five-star brunch destination. As it stands, it's a solid four stars--worth visiting for the vibe, especially if you're already nearby.

If we could provide a rating for decor and ambiance, Little Hen would receive a five out of five. This is by far the most aesthetically appealing restaurant in the area and follows through with their theme down to the tiny details. However, this is a restaurant and not a movie set and the overall rating would be two stars out of five. Upon arrival our party was greeted and seated. Our seating was pretty tight and not practical for the group size nor dishes on the table, especially brunch and tea pots and "tiered trays" but still cute nonetheless. Our server was kind and took time to explain the menu and suggestions. What the server did not mention though is that the $42 afternoon tea consisted of what can be summed up as one tray and not a whole three tiered tray as advertised. It was completely disappointing and one hundred percent not worth the price tag, not even for fun. The items were not very exciting, the best thing on there out of the very few options had to be the scone. The house tea was nice and was made with lemon and mint, it was a redeeming quality of the tea package though you had to make sure you had it quickly as the tea pots didn't exactly keep the tea hot. The "chicken" and waffle were essentially chicken tenders with a waffle, not actual chicken and waffle, again for the cost, I expected better. The steak and eggs were okay. The avocado toast was quite underwhelming as well as the pancakes. The fries and hash browns were the better tasting items that were ordered, thankfully. The mimosas and coffee were not bad. The chocolate dessert was not enjoyed as it did not feel balanced. Little Hen seems to be more of a social experience than somewhere you'd want to actually sit and eat and have a great culinary experience. Beware of the advertising of the afternoon tea "tiered trays" as you're not getting much with that. The price tag associated with this experience isn't necessarily worth it in my experience however the decor is absolutely stunning if you just want to get dolled up and enjoy a cup of tea with a friend. Though I love the concept, I can't say that I'll be in a rush to return.

This was my most memorable brunch ever! Mom and I came here while on vacation because of the aesthetic honestly but we were absolutely blown away by the delicious food!! My profile picture is from that day actually :) the rose pancakes my mom got were beautifully done, and my afternoon tea gave me life. I was also blown away by the service we received! We left this place so happy and still think about it all the time. I'm so sad there aren't any locations near me!
On vacation and booked reservations here to celebrate a birthday. If you're looking for someplace pretty to eat at with social media photo capabilities then this is a good place for you. Hope you don't mind price and slower service though. We had a party of 6 and our bill was over $700 , we did each have a 'pretty' drink and the rumors are true - you are charged for tap water per person which they don't tell you until you see the bill. Not knocking the place but just didn't seem worth the price tag. Parking sucks - either street if you're lucky if not pay for valet like we did. Had a reservation but seated outside where it was super hot instead of inside where it was nice and air conditioned.ambiance is great as the flowers look so real! Outdoor Seating was meh not real comfortable. The service was ok, server was nice - called us all princess. But it was slow - took a while for everything which was puzzling as it was a weekday , 2p and towards their closing time . They even forgot a drink and food item that came our way after everything else. Portion size is ok. Food was slightly better than ok but not worth the $25 price tag per item pretty much. I don't see a reason to try again.
I love finding new places to try and if they are girly cute, then even better! Little Hen is one of my favorite places for brunch and a fun cocktail. The food is great, service always amazing and the decore is admirable. Parking can be tough to find during the lunch hour or on the weekends but it's worth the struggle. Find a seat outside and enjoy the scenery of lavender and rose petals. You will definitely find yourself coming back again and again, just like us. Enjoy! read more
I love cute. If you've ever been to the Glass Knife in Winter Park, Little Hen gives off similar vibes, only much cuter. The rose petal pancakes are just as good as they look, and yeah, so fun! Service was excellent. I can't speak for parking; we took an Uber from our hotel. It's such a pretty place. I have to give my partner props, because this is a 100% girly joint and he absolutely loved it. If you're looking for a mother-daughter brunch spot, a place to host a bridal or baby shower brunch, or a girls' brunch out, this is it. Period. read more
A one brunch weekend is wonderful but two brunch weekend is like heaven on earth. So after an awesome Saturday brunch experience we ventured to downtown Miami to Little Hen. And speaking just to the vibe of the restaurant, this place is like heaven on earth. The perfect brunch spot. The menu was nice and simple with a number of options that will satisfy anybody. The prices are exorbitant. This was expected so it's not a hindrance to us enjoying the meal. Our precious waitress was appropriately named Precious and she was attentive, sweet, and gave awesome recommendations of what we should order. We were immediately given water and I ordered two drinks, a bloody Mary and an iced latte. Both of these drinks were exceptional. The bloody Mary was very well spiced just the way I like it with a nicely rimmed glass and garnish of celery, olive bacon and shrimp. There are certainly vodka that I like better, but as far as flavor went, this one was unbeatable. My wife ordered an espresso martini which she also enjoyed although I've seen it pictures with coffee beans in it and hers did not have any. I feel an espresso martini loses its authenticity without the coffee beans. My way or the Chia bowl and I ordered the steak and eggs. This is not the steak and eggs that grandma served me. This is a perfectly cooked churasco steak with a couple of medium eggs done just the way I wanted them and some truffle fries and tomato. Timmy truffle fries are good but do not speak breakfast. I would've preferred another potato option. The steak was good but a little tough. The meal tasted good, but I would not say great. My wife ordered a Chia bowl which was a tiny portion, but she did enjoy it. Overall, the meal was good, but it did not nearly approach the perfection that one would expect at this price point. In addition without asking us, they poured two glasses of water and apparently have a charge for water. Whether you drink it or not. I'm not sure that there is any Goodwill in charging two dollars for water when people are enjoying $120 breakfast. I would love to give this place five stars, but I cannot based on the food itself, compared to the high expectation for a very high priced brunch. The four stars are primarily for the wonderful service and the incredibly beautiful vibe. I really like the location and I loved the ambience of the restaurant, but I don't expect that I will be back as the neighborhood is filled with beautiful restaurants to choose from. read more

Came for a quick brunch at Little Hen and didn't realize how popular it was! Such a cute aesthetic here and definitely felt like a little tea room which I loved. Our waitress was a great seller too because we ended up ordering more than what we wanted hahaha We both opted to get the smoked salmon avocado toast which was super good! Toast is always hit or miss with me because sometimes it can be overly crunchy but this one was nice and soft but not too moist. It wasn't plain tasting either and the smoked salmon was a great addition. We also opted to split the stuffed hash brown which is definitely splittable. This was also super good and I was a fan of it paired with the light avocado toast. We also ordered the scones "basket" which was really just two scones for $9, BUT they came fresh out the oven and were nice and warm and were delicious with the strawberry jam that came with it. The cucumber mint martini was also light and refreshing. Overall, decent food in a great environment! read more

This was my third time coming here, I'm from Chicago and I come to Miami to visit my son. I really love this place. The atmosphere is so beautiful, the staff is very friendly, and the food is amazing. My son asked me why do I keep coming here, I said because it an experience. I've eaten outside and inside. I brought my oldest friend with me this time. I thought she was going to order everything on the menu. Lol. Great place, I'm going to suggest to my son to please check this place out. read more
I have mixed feelings about this place because it's so cute and fun in theory but they really make you work for it lol. You cannot make reservations inside, so know that ahead of time. Also, you will pay for tap water which is absurd but sadly legal in Miami. There were also SOOOO MANY FLIES which was gross and annoying to keep swatting it away. I heard this is common there so I think it's time they either figure out how to get rid of them or get those little table fans that swat them away. For us the biggest damper on the experience was the hostess. I checked before I left to try to make a reservation, but it was making me jump through hoops, add a credit card, reset my password etc, but since I saw there was one every 15 minutes available and it was only 4 of us, I assumed it was slow (maybe summer season?) so I didn't worry about it. When we got there, they said there was no room for 4 for the rest of the day! I said "oh no it was letting me make a reservation at any time so I assumed there was" very friendly, but just confused. The hostess looks at me and just says "well then do it." So. Rude. Now listen, if there's some admin loophole where they have to leave it open for reservations that pop up, or there has to be a reservation to take one of those spots etc etc, I get it! Annoying, but sometimes that's what they're working with. However, you do NOT need to say "then do it" to a patron expressing confusion about the ability to make a reservation at annyyyy time, but "no tables available." It was so unnecessary. I just said ok no problem and stepped to the side, filled out the 30 Resy things and made a reservation, walked back up and said we had a reservation for 4. So silly. The three people I was with all had their jaws on the floor and thank god for my lexapro I was unphased but still could see how rude it was. Food wise it's good and fun. The outdoor seating is uncomfortable but pretty. As I mentioned there were flies all over. We got the bourbon french toast, short rib eggs Benedict, truffle fries (a little to truffle oily), caesar salad and a few other small plates. It was delicious! read more
Cute brunch place for a date or getting together with your girlfriends! Extensive floral decor. If it's your anniversary or birthday they give fresh roses. The seating is cute in couches and chairs. The china is decorated to match the vibes. Service was friendly and relatively quick. Food was above average. The rose pancakes were soft and melted in your mouth. However there was definitely artificial flavoring. The omelette was okay and lacked veggies. The potatoes were good. Would come back for a bachelorette but there are other pancake places otherwise. read more
Went for an early afternoon coffee and we got a table inside which is a bit more chaotic but prettier than outside where we sat on our initial visit. Our server was nice but as I ordered a lavender latte w/ oat milk (as I have at many many other well known coffee establishments as Amand, La Crema, even Starbucks in Canada) it is with coffee. I was surprised yet again here a lavender latte comprises of lavender syrup with the milk, and when I asked the server she said that's why she asked me if I wanted it "dirty"? I know restaurants are looking for ways to charge for anything but I have only heard "dirty" in thecontext of chai, which don't get me started on that! If you add on "dirty", it is an additional $2, which is ridiculous as it's already $7! What's more ridiculous is my mother ordered a cappuccino and they charged $1.50 for extra hot. Also got charged for "flat" room temperature tap water. Then you're expected to tip 20% for 1 latte and 1 lavender milk (not latte!) we paid over $20 for 1 milk and 1 coffee. It's a cute place but those add on charges would have me question going again? I should have known better based on what happened with the rose "latte" by ordering another flavored latte as doesn't mean it will have coffee as most other coffee establishments. read more
The first trip was a total tour de force, from the first encounter with the front desk which was kind and amazing, to the server to the food. My Benedict was perfect, as was the hash brown that came with it. Dining room is beyond beautiful. It makes for a magical experience. I complimented the manager on duty, and the chef. Second trip I made a reservation. RESY needed a credit card to hold my reservation. When I put that it in, it changed my party size back to two, from 3.They charge $25 each for a cancellation. I called immediately and explained the situation. The woman answering the phone seemed very put out to have to fix it. When I arrived for the meal it was the same person. This time no warmth. That snotty Miami gatekeeper vibe. Less positive tone. Service was excellent but not spectacular. Parking is a bear. Reservations are highly recommended. read more
Love this place for brunch or afternoon tea. I think other reviews got it pretty spot on, I just have to add that their creative tea late is very good and alone worth stopping by, but also their chia desert is also recommended and make sure you save room for it. read more
The decor here is absolutely lovely! It is very floral and pastels without being too much. The online system was very easy to make a reservation. The tables outside are quite small and they are VERY close together - you hear everything people at other tables say even with voices at regular volume. There are some beach umbrellas and flower trellaces to add a little privacy. We got the iced matcha ($7) and iced coffee ($4). There was no upcharge for almond milk, but they do charge $2 for a glass of tap water which I thought was a little strange. I got the tuna tartare ($22) and the portion was a little smaller than I was hoping for a lunch time plate. The fish was fresh but LOADED with so much garlic. We had ordered two additional sides, fresh fruit and the chicken sausage, and we unfortunately never actually got that food that we ordered. Make a reservation The esthetics from the outside in are nothing short of amazing. The detailed in the decor will have you in awe and waiting to do a photshoot. Its a place to get dressed up and take pictures. We had reservations and was seated immediately inside. I wished I could have sat in the courtyard but it was way tooooo hot. It is definitely a must try on a cooler day. Our server was kind and professional. He checked on us regularly and made sure we didn't need anything. We wanted to try alot of items so we ordered the omelette carbonara, little hen rancheros, braised short rib benedict, cuban bagel, bourbon batter french toast, stuffed hash browns, churrasco, pork sausage and chocolate croissant. My favorite itmes were the french toast, omelette, churrasco and hash browns. The french toast was mouthwatering and delicious. No syrup is needed. It was the perfect combination of salty and sweet. The hash browns had 2/3 different types of cheese. It was cooked perfect. The omelette was amazing and whatever sauce they put on top made it even more tasty. The menu has healthy options, egg rancheros, Benedict's, chicken and waffles and more. Cocktails for you and the girls to enjoy and get a little Tipsy . This place is decked out in vibrant colors and perfect for your instagram photo. The food we ordered was strawberry waffles , salmon avocado toast on gluten free bread and two eggs any style . We paired our food with a hot chocolate and a cappuccino . I love that they even have choices of milk to choose from . I will be honest and say that the food did take longer than usual, so just a friendly heads up in case you're hungry . While service was really good, the food was okay. Made reservations for Little Hen for my birthday. It was just so cute and perfect. Perfect definition of a boutique brunch location. They do give your party a time limit. They have it all timed perfectly. The different food platters that we ordered were all delicious. The coffees were adorable and delicious. There were different parties going on... baby showers, bachelorette, birthday parties. They did sing me happy birthday and brought out a delicious chocolate mousse which I didn't even get to take a picture of. It was so good!! The service was good. I celebrated my birthday here and it was such a cute and charming spot! The decor is absolutely adorable and perfect for a special occasion. The food and ambiance were great, and I had a lovely time overall. The only reason I'm giving 4 stars instead of 5 is because they charge a $10 cake fee per person, which felt a bit excessive. Other than that, I really enjoyed it and would still recommend it for brunch or birthdays! The service was great and the drinks were so gooood!!! read more
Cute little place with finger foods for high tea. A nice place to come with if you want to dress up and have the high tea experience with the tiered plates and little bites and appetizers. The food itself is OK but nothing above average and service here is a little bit slow, but I think it's only because it's super crowded here. They do offer a good variety of teas. cutest little place! we came for a birthday brunch and we loved it. i ordered the carbonara omelette and it was soooo yummy. husband ordered chicken and waffles and those were delish as well. my favorite i think was the cheeses stuffed hash browns tho. i wish i had more of that! server was great, helpful and friendly :) read more

Delicious food with incredible ambience. The lavender tea latte was to DIE for and the avo salmon toast hit the spot and left me full for hours. Huge portions. Our waitress was incredibly kind and sweet. We were celebrating a birthday and she was really great about being low-key while still comping us a little dessert. The ONLY con was the crowd but that can't be helped when a place is so popular for a good reason. Super cute brunch place to catch up with some girl friends. Every corner of the restaurant is perfect for a photo op with its floral decor. Before you pay a visit please keep in mind that it's recommended to make a reservation in advance, which is what my group of friends did. Also they do have a dress code so make sure to double check what isn't allowed before you go. - Omelette Carbonara (4/5): The omelette was not bad but didn't stand out to me. For the price of $18, I hoped it would've been better than what it was. - Chicken Chilaquiles (5/5): Delicious! The tomatillo salsa was the star of the dish because WOW it brought the dish together. I finished every single drop and crumb. This dish was $22 with the chicken added. - Rose Petal Dream (4/5): This cocktail was good, but my only critique is that I wish the alcohol content was a tad bit stronger. I tasted like I was just drinking $16 rose water. The presentation of all of our dishes, including the drinks, were so pretty. Service was good and quick. I would recommend coming to little hen for a nice girls brunch. The atmosphere is very cute and girly. The food was good but nothing to rave about. The drinks were pretty yummy and well decorated. Little hen is very aesthetically pleasing. Beautiful floral decor. The blue furniture really makes the wallpaper pop. Very beautiful outdoor seating available as well. We visited about an hour before closing so it was less crowded. Service was great. We ordered a few drinks to start. My eye caught the cotton candy champagne rose, light and sweet with a little spice at the end. I ordered the steak and fries - steak was tender and I love the mushroom sauce. Yes you can call them and the AI will help you make your reservation. I definitely recommend you making a reservation especially on the weekends as they can get pretty busy.

No, I’ve been there twice and asked for separate a checks. To feel more comfortable you can mention separate checks to your waiter in the beginning.
Are there outside seats without patio umbrella?? I'm very heat sensitive and we could only make reservation outside.

We had lunch inside, and do not know how hot it would be outside this time of year. But there were a lot of people sitting outside.

No, they take walk-ins as well. But depending how busy it is, you may have to wait.

They certainly do. You can do something such as eggs Benedict on gluten free bread. There's a few options so be sure to ask your server!

Yes. The couple sitting across from us took their dog and the staff brought water and was super nice to him.
