    First impressions are important. The staff at Julie's pulled something off that meant a lot in a…read moretime that mattered the most. I visited Julie's last week to drop off my work attire. I was told everything would be ready for pick-up on Saturday (as stated on the receipt) so I stopped in yesterday. The clothes are needed for work on Monday morning. When I handed the cashier my receipt, I was informed that my blouses were ready, but not my pants. I was not happy with this. The owner, Ria, approached me and said she didn't have my pants and asked when I needed them. I explained I work in Center City and wouldn't have time to come by before work on Monday. She said she could meet me at the dry cleaners today (Sunday) and provide the pants. My understanding is they don't dry clean dress slacks on premise. She took down my phone number and said she'd call me. Yesterday evening I got a phone call from Ria saying she had 4 pairs of pants ready and was willing to drop them off to me at my doorstep. I didn't know what to say. She drove from her home to get me my pants and hand them to me. The customer service blew me away. Ria said I would get a text message indicating when I could pick up the remaining pairs of pants. I'm sure you could imagine how displeased I could've been walking away from this business, but Ria was quick to turn a negative experience around and make sure I was a happy client. I can't thank Ria and Julie's enough for their dedication to their customers.

    I brought a brand new, cream-colored $289 horse show shirt to K2 Cleaners for its very first…read morecleaning, and it was returned to me completely ruined. The shirt now has stark white splotches and visible drip marks around the collar -- clear evidence of bleach damage. The fabric is permanently discolored and unwearable. When I brought it to the owner's attention, she repeatedly insisted she "didn't see anything wrong." I pointed directly at the bright white blotches -- she simply denied it. No apology, no responsibility, not even a conversation about how it could have happened. When I asked whether they carried insurance for this kind of damage, she dismissed me with a robotic, "no all done, yes all done," and walked away. This was an expensive and specialty item, and their complete lack of professionalism or concern is both heartbreaking and infuriating. Mistakes can happen -- but refusing to acknowledge them or make it right is inexcusable. Avoid K2 Cleaners at all costs if you value your clothing or expect even the most basic customer service.

If any of you have gone to K2 Cleaners in Beckett, I suggest you steer clear of them. I dropped off a suit to get cleaned/pressed for a dinner this week, and I went to pick up this morning. I came to find out that she gave my suit jacket to another person. She switched the jackets, so his is still there, and mine is at his house. She had me call the customer instead of her doing it. I spoke to them (and they were very nice), and they will be checking when they get home. The cleaners told me I have to eat the cost of the jacket and buy it, even though they fouled up. I even said I at least will buy the pants because I need them, but I'm not paying for the jacket. She literally stood there and wouldn't sell me the pants. Once I asked if she was not going to sell me the pants, and she said no, I called the store a disgrace and walked out. Guys, I never would have seen myself get angry and frustrated before in my life, but I honestly couldn't let this slide. I had to be the one to call the customer and then pay for a cleaning for an item I DON'T have! Unacceptable service.
