EDITED: **No a manager did not reach out to me but the same technician who broke two pieces of my personal property did. And obviously I refused his offer to come back out and do another video because I would never let him or this business back on my property. The new video I had taken by another company showed NO DAMAGE AT ALL to my pipe. Len the Plumber was going to charge me $17,000 FOR NOTHING.** Original: I discovered I had a backup and needed ER service and they came right out. After the sewer inspection I was quoted 17K to fix my sewer due to tree branches and 9 ft of digging etc. The technician broke the panel that covers our water access and also unseated my toilet inside from the immense and rough "unclogging" of my drain. They said they had nothing to do with the toilet coming unattached from the floor. They ignored the comment about the access panel. I had 2 more plumbers come out who told me I was blatantly lied to. There were no tree branches and there was no 9 feet of digging, only 5. I called and spoke to 7 different people throughout a week asking for the copy of the video to submit to my insurance company as well as confirm what I was really being told. After being promised the video, day after day, by the 7th person I spoke to I was told the video doesn't exist and they don't give them to people. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY. read more

The bad reviews are indeed legit. Needed a routine yearly sewer pipe clean out and the Supervisor, Michael, was rude to my wife on my phone. Acted condescending and tried to talk to my wife like she's a child. Tried to upsell my wife on a camera scope (which we've already had done). We've been getting routine sewer pipe clean outs for years with other companies, no pushback ever. I call Michael, explain the situation, he gives me the same tone and attitude, tries to upsell me on a camera scope for $741, so $441 for the cleanout, $741 for the camera, and $49 traveling fee. Also told me that if the sewer pipe backs up while they're working on it, they'll charge us extra and they will not provide and guarantee for the job. INSANE! Go local, Complete rip off. read more

I had a handyman come by to fix a leaky shower head - and he could NOT fix it. After two days, I gave up and just called Len the Plumber and a couple of other plumbers. Nobody else could come TODAY, except for Len the Plumber. Darrick F came to help and he was a true professional. What was two days of headaches and stress was easily solved in a couple of hours. He cleaned up so well too, that you would never know he was just in here cutting drywall and tearing out pipes. Is anyone really surprised to read another terrible review? It's Christmas Eve, we had freezing weather, and we had an emergency. I called around 10:30 am to make an appointment, I got a 2-5 window, and they never called or showed. I called to try to figure out what was going on, I told them I don't care if they come late, but I would like to know when they're coming. They said the local office would call me back. An hour goes by, so I call back, and the extremely nice woman (who I feel TERRIBLY for) said the local office was closed, everyone went home, and she has no way of telling me if or when my technician is coming. I said, that's insane, and she said, yes I agree...this poor woman is being put in an awful situation. I understand being busy, but not even calling people who you know are waiting and in emergency situations is just awful to do. This company will try to rip you off..the tech who came out name was jalin Carl Hill was suppose to diagnose why I had no spark with my pilot light on my gas hot water heater. He said hevhad removed the burner assembly and it was bad and I needed to replace it. After he left I removed the burner assembly,there is a gasket on the burner assembly that you could tell NEVER had been removed and when I pulled out burner assembly there was some debris on the burner that would have not been there if he pulled out the burner it would have dropped to the floor like it did for me. Also I checked to see how he was making out at one point he was trying to light the pilot , clicking the pilot button he tells me you have no spark n I had to tell him yes it's because you don't have the wire connected to the pilot...unbelievable.... anyway I pulled out burner when he left and figured out it was the ignitor wire..This guy LIED about doing work he didn't do n then tried to scam me on replacing the whole burner unit when he never even pulled it out. There are large concerns with this company. What they do very well is get someone out that day. The plumbers themselves have been amazing. The charges are very high. Sewer.....beware. I had 1 clog. They sent a sewer person out to put a camera in the pipes, and many thousands of dollars later, the clog now happens about every 6 months (when before the work, it happened once). My carport was ripped up and never re-asphalted. The work itself is suspect. The carport has been sinking since they did the work. The recommendations have been pretty much not to use the plumbing and garbage disposal. And now they recommend more work they want me to pay for that doesn't have anything to do with the actual issue. I now pay a ton to have them fix it each time, and I do not get any relevant answers. Beware. Find a second and third opinion. read more

That was a mistake, the first technician burnt our shower panel and damaged our 80yr old floors. His welds also leaked. He also wanted to cut a hole in our wall and thank god he didn't because that would have been on us too. This happened in July, getting a new technician out here to fix has been like pulling teeth. Only because I can't give 0 stars. I called them out for a small leak on my incoming mains where a 2" piece of Pex pipe was failing at a connection. I as at work and charged my wife $950.00 for this to be completed. My wife thought that was high and asked for a break-down and they could not/would not supply it. Due to being on mains she concerned if it wasn't fixed could be detrimental to the house, which was not the case and pas pressured into signing. She contacted me when tech was still on site and I reached out to the office to speak with a service manager and was told "if you do not like the price, I will have the tech remove it and leave the house with no water" This was after they were supposed to be on site yesterday but didn't have anyone available who knew how to work on the job!! that should have been the red flag i needed to cancel. max 25$ from any supply house for the materials, $49 for call out fee, and $875.00 for the hour they were on site. shocking read more

They suck. Have called them twice. The first time, they didn't arrive until an hour after the 2pm-5pm window. Charged over $800 to replace a very small piece of leaky pipe. I figured, maybe, this was one bad experience... so, I tried again. Sink was backed up. Called on Friday morning. Again 2pm-5pm window. No show. No call. ...remained backed up the entire holiday weekend. Sooooooooooooooo pissed off. I could have called anyone one else. Some companies actually want the work. I called another company on Monday... and they seemed to have no problem showing up when they promised. To be fair, maybe Len the Plumber doesn't suck. They'd actually have to actually show up to suck... so, I guess we will never know. There are plenty of plumbers in the phone book. Beware! they are wildly overprice. i called about a clog, they sent a rookie/lazy plumber who had to call his boss for help. the Lazy plumber track sewage through my house because he was too lazy to take put his booties on. the. the lazy plumber told me he couldn't do the job and they sent another plumber 3 hours later. this guy didn't want to repair anything he wanted to charge me $2800 for a replacement unit. We were totally overcharged by Len the plummer. We ended up paying an outrageous price of 2,300.00 dollars to changing out Cooper pipping to less then 12 feet of hot and cold pecs due to corroded t joint in bathroom. We, ourselves opened up the wall in bathroom and in basement area for full access to area prior to him coming and made sure we told them we were doing so. He took pictures and sent it off for a quote. When he told us the price, we told him we were seniors and could never pay that kind of money for a small job and that we were not prepared for such a high cost. We felt so taken advantage of. Since it was an emergency we had to turn off main. Alive in basement to stop flooding. This meant we would be out of water and no other help was available till after Christmas. It was Monday December 23rd to days prior to Christmas. He said because price was so high, he wouldn't charge us for 2 shut off valves we needed. So only parts charged were for pecs. It took him 1 hr and 15 minutes to complete the job and we would be responsible for repairing the drywall areas..we then had a local plummer come out to see the job, he couldn't believe what the charge was. He said at the highest price even at an emergency price coming after hours, should have been no higher then 500.00. Considering we cut the walls for access. He got to our house at 6pm and left at 8:15, that's over 1,153.00 per hour and it only took him 1 hr 15 minutes to complete it. After speaking to our sons who were so upset we were so ripped off and friends and plummer who say what they did, we called and complained to service manager TERRENCE NOLAN who said they would give us half back on the visa charge. I have called him twice plus called my visa company who says they have not attempted a creded back in all this time. We will forward this claim for help getting our money back. Having business experience I understand all the overhead costs but with those rates I will think twice next time I need to call for service. Since my first review, Robert from Len the Plumber came out and determined the issue was most likely a flaw in the faucet itself. He was amazing...taking his time to figure it out and even speaking directly to the Moen rep to describe the problem. Moen was great and sent a replacement right away and Len the Plumber agreed to replace the faulty faucet when the new one came in...free of charge since the first two plumbers weren't able to figure out the issue. After a few more cancelled and rescheduled visits to install the replacement faucet once it arrived, I finally reached an extremely helpful and empathetic scheduling rep named Marcy and a helpful supervisor named Eddie who updated me himself on the plumber's ETA for the visit. This evening the plumber Ebo (spelling?) showed up, swapped out the faucets and gave me back my hot water pressure in about 20 minutes! I'm giving them another star because although this wasn't easy and came with a couple of misdiagnoses and tons of scheduling frustrations, they did fix the issue eventually and it wasn't their workmanship that was the problem. If the faulty faucet had been identified as the possible problem at the first or even second return visit, and so many of my visits hadn't been rescheduled, my star rating would be higher. If I could give 1/2 stars I would give them 2 1/2 stars. read more

I needed to install a new sump pump in my basement. I had bought PVC pipe, connectors, PVC pipe glue and a sump pump. I didn't have the tools to cut the pipe and needed a plumber to do this for me and glue the pipe and connectors together, a 15-minute job. Len the Plumber wanted to charge me $750 just for labor for a 15-minute job. I threw them out of my house and found someone else to do the job for a fraction of Len the Plumber's price. If your website would have let me give them zero stars, I would have. Instead, I had to give them at least 1 star, which is too generous. As I say, "The only way to get screwed today is just call Len the Plumber." They prey on people in need. read more

My 80 year old mother had a leak in the crawl space under her house. She called Len the Plumber thinking that it was a reputable company. Well it isn't. The y took advantage of her age and the fact that she is a widow and not only overcharged her but never even bothered to find where the leak was coming from and fix it. They told her it was probably her ice maker and shut her water off so she had no ice. They never bothered to find the leak. There was a lot of mold from the water leaking so she was going to call Service Pro to come clean it up but Len the Plumber suggested that he knew someone who was way cheaper and would do a great job for her and gave her his info. She called him, he made her pay $5000 cash up front to clean out the basement and all the wet insulation. He left half of it down there and refused to come back. My main drain outside traps needed to be cleaned out and replaced. They were very old and cracked. I got several quotes. Len The Plumber not only gave me a lifetime warranty but that warranty is transferable to new owners if I sell the house! The other quotes warranty was only for 5 years. One of the two drain/traps was under a bunch of rather large boulders. Gary Schannauer of Len The Plumber (610-637-0208) told me his crew would move the boulders and do their best to put them back. They did put them back. The other quotes contract stated they would remove the boulders but not put them back. Gary came out himself a few days after the job was completed to run a camera down both drains/traps to inspect/check that everything was good. It was. Do not use Len the Plumber in an emergency!! My heater was not in below freezing temperatures so I contacted Len because they said they offered emergency same day service. They couldn't come out the same day (Friday) so I had to wait til Monday. Monday came and the arrival window was crazy (8am-8pm) so I took off work to wait (with no heat) . I waited all day and they called at around 4pm to cancel and pushed back to the next day. The next day they came, got the best going but it stopped working the next day. So i called back and scheduled again and they pulled the same crap again and i had to wait thru the weekend but this time when i called to ask when someone was coming they refused to come out and even look at it unless i paid $500 for the furnace to be cleaned. After explaining how unprofessional they were being i just hung up the phone and starting looking for any company. Absolutely awful experience, i will never use them again and i will tell this story to anyone who will listen because they only added to my problem!! read more

I had a drain clog on the weekend and both my kitchen and laundry sinks were backed up. I was able to schedule an appointment and they actually came on a Saturday during the time they said they would!!! Kendall was great! it was not an easy drain to snake and he did a great job. Told me the price upfront, and there were no surprises when he was done. He was fast efficient and I would not hesitate to call him again.
