I'm blown away by this company! (No pun intended) We were having issues with our AC over a month ago and of course it happened during a heat wave on a weekend. Luckily I found this place and saw they were open, so decided to call. Service came out within an hour or two and fixed the issue! However our unit is old and a bandaid didn't do the trick. We wound up needed a whole new unit after getting a few opinions/looking at financing options. Throughout this process, Delfera was so understanding and communicative. More than anything they were incredibly patient. They were able to replace the unit only a few days after we told them we were ready which was incredible! The whole process took a day since we had the furnace replaced too. When they were done installing the owner came by to make sure everything was done correctly and brought us chocolate covered pretzels. We were SO pleased with this customer service from start to finish and will absolutely recommend them to anyone in the area. read more

I first moved to media in 2020 and like with many older homes I needed to replace my heating and AC units. I called Delfera because they were recommended by Rheem who I had worked directly with before. They replaced both of my older units with new Rheem units, and I haven't had many problems since. I really wanted to like these guys. They have 4.9 stars on Google but less on here. It must be that Google allows companies to pay to remove reviews. I have had these guys out here 4 different times and have gotten 4 different diagnosis. They came out in May and replaced my AC blower. Then when it was still not blowing cool air in June, I had them come out for a cleaning. They clean the system and then a month later it's not blowing cool air again. So they come out and tell me I need a new system. I rejected this so I had them come out a 4th time to do a full system diagnostic. I thought I was getting that with the clean I paid for a month earlier. I would have thought that would be the first thing they would do. Well...after the diagnostic, I come to find out that the whole problem was a dirty filter. I never replaced it. I swore I did, but I guess I messed up. I am not the professional though. The professionals should have caught this on day 1 when they replaced the blower motor. Or at least, they definitely should have figured this out when doing the cleaning in June. I honestly believe that they were just trying to make me feel like my AC was beat so that they could sell me a new system. The neglect doesn't just stop at not replacing or even taking notice of the filter, it gets worse. After the 4th service call last week, I go down the basement and noticed that the air filter is the wrong size by several inches. I ended up having to pay that guy 13$ for the filter. If it's 13$ it should fit right. You think they could of tossed that in after they kept screwing me, but no. The real funny thing was that they didn't even bother to clean the air intake. It was so caked and matted with dust and b.s. that hardly any air can pass through to the machine. How was this not a part of the cleaning. They also wanted to charge me an additional 6 hundred to clean dirty coils and interior parts. I am confused as to why this would be separate from the original cleaning and why was I not told about this before. never the less, tech #4 showed me pictures of the inside of my dirty system. So either that wasn't part of the original cleaning or it wasn't done properly in June. I will tell you that I am excited to not need a new system just yet. It is nearing its time but it truly feels that this company was just trying to speed up the process. I am including a picture of the dirty intake vent. Am I supposed to clean that myself? Really, I'm asking an honest question ? Should that be part of a system clean? If so, your technicians aren't working thoroughly. If not, then at the very least, take notice and tell me about the problem. I even emailed them a picture of this vent that was left like this. They tire of me because they already got my money. The sales guy was personable and professional, he explained what was needed to replace the entire heating/cooling unit in my Daughters house and it was scheduled in a day or two and the entire job was completed in a day. I can't say enough good things about Delfera right now. I had a couple larger, name brand companies come out to give me a quote on AC units. They all tried to price gouge me in the beginning and over the course of a week continuously dropped their prices. Delfera came out and was completely honest and upfront from the beginning. Due to the previous companies, i thought i needed a much bigger and more expensive AC. Delfera could have easily told me they were right but instead they told me it wasn't necessary for my size house. They quoted me a great price and were able to come out the next day for installation. Hours after the installation another rep came out to inspect all the work that was done to ensure nothing was missed. Needless to say, I was super impressed. Everything i read about ACs said it's not about the brand, it's about who is installing it. If it's not installed correctly it's not going to work correctly. I am writing this review on behalf of my elderly parents. We reached out to Delfera to come and check their central air. Upon inspection of the unit it was 26 yrs old, I told them it is worth replacing the unit not only for air but for the money they will be saving every month on running it. The guys were more than professional they were awesome. They kept us informed all day what they were doing and explained how to use the thermostat as well. I personally had another company do my AC, but I called Delfera to come to do a tune up on my unit as well that is how much I was impressed with the service they provided. Had a positive experience w DelFera today. Called to check my heater which was off. As soon as the guy got here I realized that I'm that fool who turned off the boiler because it's next to the light switch, even tho my realtor warned me about this lol. DelFera offered to waive the charge for coming out and just charge me to have my heater's annual maintenance check. I know my heater is new and in good condition (guess that makes me all the sillier for not suspecting the pilot switch issue sooner), so it makes sense that that was the result of the check up, but I still felt like they were fair and trustworthy so I took the deal for a one year contract. Had a service contract with Delfera for many years. When I called about an issue, I was told they canceled my contract because they were no longer servicing my area. I was left high and dry without the courtesy of a phone call or email to let me know. If you have a service contract with them, I'd check to make sure you're still a customer before you need them. read more

Overcharged for part by 700%.RIPOFF!! Heater was turning off and on sporadically. Knew it had to be electrical issue. Called Delfera and they came out and told me it was just the circuit board shouldn't be much money. Then went out to truck to make a phone call to their boss. Came back and said part was actually really hard to find and it would cost 1100 dollars for the part +100 for labor and 2 weeks for it to come back and put in the new circuit board in. Showed up 2 weeks later was in and out in 20 minutes. Left box for new part. Looked up serial number and part was selling brand new for $150.00. I know companies have to make money but how do we get from 150 to 1100!!!?? I call furious and they offer me $350.00 back after I told them what the parts going for online. This review is way overdue. My air conditioner died in late August 2019 during a heat wave on a Wednesday night. They returned my call within 5 hours the next day and said they could have a technician over on Thursday in the afternoon. They called to say if the technician could come in the morning which was great. I love the deal they have with GreenSky, which gave me interest-free payments for 36 months. We were told that they could install our new air conditioner on Saturday which was great news. They lent us two window units in the meantime to keep us cool. We got another call on last Thursday stating that they could install our new air conditioner on Friday. I was impressed with their promptness, friendliness and communication. You never want to have to work with a HVAC company, because usually that means your air conditioner or heater isn't working. My A/C seems to never be working properly when the warmer season rolls around, so it seems like a regular occurrence that I have to get it serviced/repaired. The past two years I've had Delfera come out to help me, and I couldn't be happier with the service compared to companies I've used in the past. It's considered an "emergency" in my household when the A/C isn't working on a hot day, and they've always been very responsive and sent a technician out quickly. Their prices are very reasonable, and I recently decided to sign up for one of their annual service plans since it seems I need to get service regularly until I finally replace the A/C unit completely. I've had the same technician come out the past couple times (I forget his name), and he's been very cordial and patient in answering my questions. I am still in the middle of dealing with them, so will update later, but I paid them 300 to replace a part on my AC unit. The same service call, they said they thought I had a restriction in my line, but they weren't sure. They wanted to send someone else out. Someone came out and looked at it and said yep, they were right. But, he told me he didn't have time to fix it. It was the hottest weekend of the year. He was going to get me a price, but couldn't, and left. So, here we are now, it's the third time they're here and they walked in and told me up front that they dont have time to fix it and that they'll have to order parts, after 3 visits? I honestly dont understand how a company that states they have 24/7 service will now take at least 4 visits to fix one problem. In the meantime, the house is 83 degrees and humid. Ok, 1400 is the quote, what?. In fairness, I did cancel one appt because I was frustrated, but that doesnt change the fact that they have been here 3 times and my AC still doesnt work. On another note, they send you a text and you can track the driver, so I was at work and it said 14 minutes, so I left work early(losing pay), and they didn't get to my house for 45 minutes. Installed a defectively designed heat pump where the coils around the fan just randomly bend over. Had a tech come out, promised is a report - never got one. Never insulated our venting! Installed returns that block off a portion of our attic, blocked access to cabinets in our basement with their work as well. Agreed to drywall in some venting that was done outside of existing drywall and we had to argue with them to actually get it done. Ray is rude and talks down to his customers if they bring up any issues. I would not recommend using these people under any circumstances. We're sorry we did. read more

The worst!! This guy and his cousin were recommend by our contractor, so we figured Ray would be good. OMG, the most unprofessional people ever!! They wanted to put the central air unit out front of my house (these are installed on the side of your house) and argued with me about it. Then, the unit that was installed in the attic leaked down onto the ceiling of my bedroom! These two professionals never placed a pan under the unit! And, they didn't want to come and service my unit because it was 13 months later and they only covered it up to 12 months. So, you can imagine that the bill was not paid since they didn't fix the problem and it leaked again! We had to hire another company, Mike Brown HVAC, who was wonderful. Delfera is hands down the easiest and best company that my husband and I have ever worked with. We used them last year to install our new A/C unit at our house and did an amazing job in such a short time!. Just recently we bought a new house with a new unit already installed and to our surprise it was hooked up by some person who clearly had no idea what they were doing. One day this week, my husband had stopped by our new house and found that there was water that had leaked through our son's ceiling in his room. Our brand new house could have flooded had we not caught it. We immediately called Delfera and within a day Ray and his team were there assessing the situation.
