Regular size, they don't look big but they are massive
    Deborah H.

Ordered for pick up, ready in 15 mins. Regular Dark chicken roti, dhalpuri, medium spice. 5/5 taste super delicious the chicken is juicy. The medium spice, gives the perfect amount of kick. The regular size is massive!! I would suggest getting the small unless you are really hungry. Regular curry lamb roti, dhalpuri, hot. 4/5 meat was again super juicy. However, really under estimated the spice level of hot. Chicken double medium spice, these are the perfect size, theres a sauce to it that has a nice freshness. The chicken is tad dry. Shrimp double medium spice, 4/5 flavours are delicious, but there isn't much shrimp maybe 3 ? Little ones. All in all, service, food, and promptness would definitely come back

I have had doubles from other restaurants before, but this could be one of the best I have tried! My family would agree as well. Then, we tried the Dark Chicken and peas inside a flatbread called Dhalpuri and goat and peas inside an Indian flatbread called Parata wrap. These were massive and filling! Lastly, we could not leave without trying the Jerk Chicken on rice, peas, and coleslaw. Simply a complete Caribbean food experience. They also let us try their newest ice cream flavors: Pina Colada, Soursop, Mango, and Coconut. We couldn't agree which one was our favorite. You have to try them all when you visit! Don't forget their house-made peanut drink which was simply the best I would commend the staff here for treating us very well!

Finally had a chance to try this place! The food was very flavorful! I ordered the roti to be mild, but it still had pretty much heat. There were nice big pieces of meat and the food was tasty. Parts of the roti had a bit of a "fridge/freezer" taste, so I'm not sure if it was made ahead of time...but the sauce kind of masked everything. Despite that, I enjoyed the meal. The ice cream was a good way to end the meal. It was a little icy, but decent. Next time I think I'll stick to the mains.

We really enjoyed trying doubles for the first time! The sweet and tangy sauce was excellent and we especially liked the curry goat. We also had a peanut punch which was also wonderful. Great service and very clean restaurant. We will definitely return!

Probably the best doubles I've had. Very delicious and filling. Service is great too.

Hubby ordered doubles and although he said they were tasty, they were a mess. Inside the wrapper the filling had come out and it was messy to eat. The beauty of doubles is that they are usually easy to eat and yummy. At least they got the yummy part right:)

    Spotless inside

We have passed by this location hundreds of time, but never thought of visiting. In the area, so decided to stop by. Lunch time in a Saturday so wasn't that busy. The owners/managers knew by the questions we asked of this dish had any eggs/dairy/meat etc that our visit was the first. Spotless and clean inside and service was amazing. Ordered a small channa and aloo (chickpeas and potatoes) roti roll with a paratha and a regular channa and aloo roti with daal roti and made that extra spicy and finally a veggie platter. First the veggie platter we picked Okra, spinach, eggplant and raw jackfruit. The okra, spinach were really good and the eggplant was OK. The jackfruit (kathar/kathal) was the best. Would have loved more jackfruit pieces though and perhaps bigger chunks rather than tiny pieces. The rotis were delicious. The chickpeas aloo top notch, but too runny to eat in a wrap. The extra spicy roti was hot! Good hot that stayed with me for a long time. The owners threw in an order on phulories in the house as it was our first visit. They are the best we have ever had. A slight crunch on the out and soft inside. These ones had garlic and some herbs in them that was amazing. As if we were eating fried garlic bread! The tamarind chutney had perfect sourness with some sweetness. The phulories are way too greasy though.

I absolutely love Lena's! I discovered this place 5 years ago and am happy they are still opened for business during the pandemic. They are only open for take out and do require you to wear masks when you enter so be sure to be prepared. They also prepare the food very quickly after you place the order over phone call. We ordered 2 doubles, a small Channa and potato roti and a regular sized jerk chicken roti. It all came to $25 and we had left overs for lunch the next day. Highly recommend vising especially for your roti cravings!

    Disgusting jerk chicken

It's saddening how unfair it was to get this quality of food. I've had wonderful jerk chicken at other places and I've also had Lena's doubles for years which I've enjoyed. This time around I ordered The jerk chicken and the lady who brought it outside said "good thing you ordered jerk chicken cu we just made a fresh batch!". The jerk chicken was absolutely disgusting, the chicken was slimey, the smell was horrible and the taste was pungent -- it was so bad that I had to instantaneously discard it outside -- this was not fresh meat AT ALL. Never ever ever returning again. Threw the whole thing out. YUCK! 0 stars if I could.

I stumbled upon Lena's one day after deciding to switch up my lunch routine. I was greeted warmly by the staff who made recommendations on what to get. I went with their recommendation and ordered a meat roti. The roti was huge and delicious! My only gripe about this place is that the roti is so big it may as well be 2 meals. I'd rather they cut the price (down from ~$14/roti) and size down.

Hi Yelpers! I came here after work one day to see what their jerk chicken is like. Let me tell you.. it's good! But not my cup of tea. The rice and peas had plenty of sauce.. drenched. It is flavourful but not my type. The chicken though.. so tender the meat just breaks apart easily. Love it. But the sauce again isn't that good. Difficult to describe.. more so salty but bland? The coleslaw was good.. very wet though. However, the lamb roti I had was good! That I ate quick. So I didn't get a chance to take a picture of it. The price is appropriate to the amount of food you get. The shop is a regular with minimal decor. Lots is tables and chairs to sit. Would I come back again? Yes. I'd love to try their other roti.

Tried this place on a whim, just had a craving for jerk chicken and didn't want to drive for it, this was the first thing that popped up, and I remember seeing this from driving by it "all the time" The first time I had this ordered to my place, the food's scent absolutely permeated once we got the items out of the bag, the flavors were even better. this food brought me back to my childhood and all of the summer bbq's growing up with friends from multiple islands. One time I came in here in person, to grab some food, and the service was top notch, but ordering in person had a bit more options which lead to me looking like an idiot ordering the same thing I did through skip. The hot sauce is absolutely perfect as well, please bottle this and sell it Seperately. There's next to no sitting area here, and with this tight plaza of 11 business' you would be best to grab the food and go. I have no photos, even though I say the phone eats first, once the smell hits my nose, it's game over. no photos, no witness'(lol) Absolutely one of my favorite spots now for food, slowly climbing into my personal top 10 in Toronto, please don't change anything with the food, everything is perfect.

I ordered, paid and here to pick it up simple. Then a customer gets in on the conversation. Meanwhile I'm clam the whole time. He goes absurd and crazy telling me relax. I'm like I'm relaxed. What did I do wrong? I order , paid , what's the status of my food? They continue to act ignorant and yell and try me to relax. I reiterated what did I do wrong? They finally agree and that I I'm in the right and my food will be in the way. Wow. Couldn't say that from the start? Without being verbally attacked and saying you're right and I'm wrong? So I wait no words. Drivers are coming and every interaction is negative. Literally. I waited patiently and my I'm comes in and like wtf? I'm like don't worry relax it is what it is. By this point I'm not even sure if they acknowledge that my food is coming. Even the clown who argued in the business behalf starts complaining about his order. Wow. Disgusting. Totally ignorant being verbally attacked by both the business and and a customer ignorantly. Dude. I was so close to calling the police and I've never done that before. So after more customers and drivers coming in and basically being told to eff off. I got. My food. An hour and ten minutes after being ordered on line. I grab my food and ask what did I do wrong? And they go off on me ignorantly and I explain didn't do anything wrong. All you did was wrong in exquisite detail. And guesss what this wasn't even the first time. Ugly ugly and worst worst business interaction of all time. Wooooooooooooooooooooow.

It was completely empty, so we were told to sit wherever we wanted. When the server came to take our order, one of us ordered a shrimp pasta, but they didn't have any fish or pasta that day. So she asked for a poutine, but they didn't have any poutine. Another one of us ordered the jerk pork, but they didn't have any pork. A couple of us ordered chicken patties, but they didn't have any chicken patties, only beef. Half the menu was unavailable, and on a Saturday night. And that's something that should be told when we're given the menus. The jerk chicken and fusion potatoes were good. The curried goat was decent, but the actual curry didn't have too much flavour. In the lighting, which seemed like blue light, the food did not look appetizing. The rice and beans were also bland. The patties were the flattest patties I've ever seen, and the outside pastry dry. On the menu they said $2.00 (which is not worth it), but when I looked at the receipt, I saw they were $2.50 (which is extra not worth it). The server wasn't outwardly rude, but she was inattentive, unsmiling, quiet and just didn't seem like she wanted to be there. The constant rejection of orders also did not give a good impression, especially as she didn't provide apologies or other recommendations. When we wanted to get her attention, we fully had to shout a couple times and the restaurant is not large. The next time we wanted her attention, one of us just went up to her. Though the jerk chicken was good, better Caribbean restaurants can be found. Won't be back.

I ordered a small stewed curry chicken roti wrapped in plain paratha and it was DELICIOUSSS!! Food: First thing I noticed was how heavy it was, I swear in that small bag it was at least 2lbs of food, and after only paying $12 after tax I was pretty enthusiastic. First bite was really nice, flatbread was fresh and the filling had the perfect amount of seasoning. Not to mention it was ALL melt in your mouth chicken breast, barely and fillers (like potatoes etc.) so I assume the entire roti to be around 60g of protein. After eating half I was super full so now I have a second small meal/snack to make out of this when I get home. I ended up buying a small homemade soursop ice cream to try, not knowing anything about flavor profile and it was also really good! Not sure if I'd call this ice cream because it was really icy as you can see in the pic but the flavor was amazing, I inhaled that tiny little cup lol. Not a bad size for $3.50 and it was a great way to finish off my meal. Service: Employees are nice, the older lady working the register did a good job at answering any questions I had, food came out fast despite having a few other people in the restaurant. Ambiance: Place is very clean with lots of options for seating, and they have restrooms here. Also plenty of other options to choose from, when I was here there was a huge party of 10 people in the back and they seemed to really enjoy their food. Overall highly recommend! They also have daily specials (peep the pic I posted) which is nice. I'll definitely be back if I'm in the mood for flavorful, high protein and affordable Caribbean food! :)
