The chicken was flavourful but the rice (usually my favourite part) was wayyyy too dry. Even with the oxtail gravy the rice was not enjoyable. My favourite was the coleslaw. I've never had coleslaw with raisins in it but it was delicious! Would I return? Probably not. Well, maybe for the coleslaw. Not a lot of seating to eat so consider takeout. Food: Jerk chicken sandwich - the jerk chicken had good flavor though a slightly oversalted. The coleslaw was crunchy and sweet to contrast the chicken. The coco bun was decently soft though not the must fluffy. 4/5. Goat roti - really good flavor and tender goat. The roti itself is very soft yet holds up against the filling. Pretty good at deboning the goat meat for the roti though the owner usually warns that there could be bones still. Pretty huge roti. 5/5. Allwyns is one of my favorite places to get jerk chicken. Definitely recommend.

I found that this beef patty here at Allwyn's was flaky enough but lacked the crispness of the outside dough. As well the filling was too moist or soggy and it was translucent which was off putting. Also, the patty was lukewarm and not piping hot. I came here to try one and then maybe go back in and pick up a dozen. But From the one patty I had. It didn't warrant a purchase of a dozen to take home for future enjoyment. I must say the patty was not bad. However I found it was not the best one I have had in Toronto. I will pick Islands Express Foods for a beef patty in future visits. Recommendations, I suggest you try for yourself as this is a personal preference but I'll stick to some other locations for my beef patty fix.

You can get veggie, chicken, and beef patties. With beef, it comes in mild, regular spicy, and extra spicy. I got a box of regular spicy. I could smell the hot patties. I had to get one for the road. I got a regular spicy beef patty. I couldn't resist! The woman who was originally behind the hot foods helped me get my hot patty. I paid for my purchases with a credit card. I tapped and was good. I thanked her and left with my purchases. You can get bread here, too. It has rolls on the weekend. I liked seeing desserts by the payment area. It was difficult for me to resist getting some.
