We came here to see " Sue" the Tyrannosaurus Rex. The last day she was going to be in the exhibit was on Memorial Day. It was sweet to see families and all different kids go through this exhibit with awe and amazement. Our lil guy is in his dinosaur phase and was in love all around. Liberty Science Center was a good space to explore. We didn't have enough time to spend here, however we will return. The space was clean, employees were respectful and kind, and there are plenty of opportunities for anyone to check out different floors of interests. The only con is paying some parts to check out rather than an overall included ticket. Plenty of space to park; Will return soon!

We came at 3:30 (5pm close) on a Saturday and expected it to be less busy. It was PACKED. A sea of strollers and kids and parents. Going up and down in the elevators was a nightmare. Besides the number of people, the exhibits themselves were pretty cool. Mostly for kids aged 4+ but they did have a toddler area named the Wobbly Room which was pretty fun. $64 for two adults, kids under 2 free. A season pass for 2 adults and up to 4 kids was $250 and seems worthwhile if you come at least a few times a year. We definitely need to come back (not on a Saturday?) and do more exploring. We totally missed the planetarium!

First of all $35 bucks is way too much to spend for this place. Even $30 is too much. We happened to snag a $5 off our ticket . You could also get a group on for $31 bucks. I think $20 would have been a better price. This museum of pizza is located at the bottom of the William Vale Hotel - at the corner. It is open until November 18th 2018 only So this is not a big " museum" . You can be there 30-60 mins tops. There are like 8 ish rooms.... most of them are ehhhh... there is " art" as in paintings , sculptures etc - some of it boring and uneventful... especially for the price Some of it is cool... loved looking at all the different pizza boxes from different pizzerias... loved the pizza guitar and the painting of the nude girl eating pizza on the bed. Loved the glow in the dark room... good photo op. We also loved the photo booth in the back of the DiGiorno room. I liked the last supper and Adam and Eve banners also You can get some popcorn to watch 3 short films And you get a slice of pizza at the end . It was hot and good to me . Water was offered . Surprisingly no bathrooms inside- you would have to go to the William Vale lobby to use the bathroom It would have been way more disappointing if this was the only thing we did ... thank god we made a day of it and also went to Brooklyn Bowl.

I particularly like how the wandering paths lead me back to the towering bamboo which is the entry point to the garden. The natural elements and the architecture built in the garden is a peaceful place fit for the scholar's meditation and study. There is a circular portal that leads to a courtyard with rocks that form a geometric pattern on the ground, guiding the eye to the organic shapes of the plants and trees. One element guides the eye to another element through contrast and even through repetition of shapes as can be seen in how there is a scallop edged wall behind this courtyard with the circular doorway. The circle motif is echoed in the design of the scallop edged wall beyond which flows another pond and yet more plants of different sizes. The landscape design also includes the waterfalls, pavilions and a rock-carved walkway with steps on it as well as a walkway that is zig-zagged! A great backdrop for picture taking with interesting rock formations along the pond in the courtyards. Also, when you pass by the koi fish pond, you could hear the splashing sounds they make as they swim around in the water. It brings an inner calm, tranquility and peacefulness to the viewers when they see the koi fish swim in the still water. I highly recommend a visit to the Chinese Scholar's Garden!

I really was so warmly welcomed here and they were eager to help answer any questions and just engage with some of the key points. So many charming things used to learn today. From mastodons of which you can enjoy seeing a 10-foot-tall mastodon sculpture : a woolly mammoth-looking creature which once roamed the hills of Staten Island in prehistoric days. Learn about the industries that thrived in this area for example, their chewing gum factory, the terra-cotta factory & ceramic factory. Such wonderful things created for people to enjoy, however, the Freshkills area and then to see all the years and years worth of efforts made to clean up the area and make it safe and beautiful and a wonderful habitat once again. It was nice to see that it's treated as a beautiful treasure. Grateful to the women who lead the groups that were very persistent in this endeavor. I loved seeing the erasure poetry activity.. where are we made poetry by blocking out the letters that were the writings of the museum's kind founder William T. Davis. Reconstructing his writing.. it's a wonderful little game that takes you slowly into his thoughts and his love and reflections of his town. I'm happy to learn about the founder of this museum and how he took care of all the sailors by constructing these buildings and giving them a home after a lifetime of working hard on the ships Very thankful for all the hard-working people that keep this wonderful story alive and in the minds of everyone lucky enough to venture this way.

You can get through most of the garden in under an hour and a half. They are known for the Chinese Garden which is breathtaking and costs just $5 to explore. The exhibit shares great history and really makes you feel like you're in a different world. There is a cafe with outdoor seating where you can grab a small bite and there's also a few adorable cottages and one of them is converted into an ice cream shop with benches outside. They also had a dance festival which was fun to watch. This was the perfect place to spend a summer day!
