We greatly enjoy Lenny's food. Today we did not. It was their 25th anniversary. They were running a special, $2.99 sandwich with drink purchase. Stood in line to order about 15 minutes. Then we had to just a couple of minutes shy of an hour to get our sandwiches. Long after we ordered, an employee came out and informed everyone that a hot sandwich would take an hour to an hour and a half. Due to limited space on the griddle. If I had been informed when I ordered, I would have ordered cold sandwiches. That was a long wait too it seems. Our hot chicken philly sandwiches were not hot. They must have been sitting awhile as the bread was quite soggy. And there was very little chicken on them. That is what was MOST disappointing. It will be sometime before we go back. read more

Last Tuesday, My husband and I visited our local Lenny's to pick up some dinner. What happened during that visit, truly shook me to the core. It literally has taken me days to share. Terrible, terrible, terrible! I got in early to pick up my online order. They told me it wasn't ready even had my name correct. I waited and yet they never called me when my order was completed. After 45 minutes I asked about my order and it was already sitting on the shelf. I also gave special instructions to prepare the sandwich and yet I still got a glob of goo since the foil was soaked through. It all fell apart in my hand. This had never happened before. We called from our event location and was told that we don't provide those items anymore. We spend $153.46, at the very least include the plates, cups, and napkins. It was a good meal, but I won't be back to this location. I was very disappointed in the service. When I went to pick up my call in order, there were 5 employees working behind the counter and only 2 other customers present. One customer was ordering their food and the other was waiting for their food to be made. I walked up to the cashier, and not a single employee acknowleged me for 10 minutes. There was no "hello", no eye contact, and no "we'll be with you in a moment". The 2 customers completed their order and left. A new customer came in, placed his order, and went to pay. It was the new customer who asked me if I had been helped yet. It was only then that an employee finally asked what the name was for my order. We arrived about 15min early, but I decided to call to let them know we are here a bit early so I wasn't expecting them to bring it out right away. After 15min goes by we wait of course no exceptions; however, we at least expect it to be ready within 5min of our scheduled time....10min go by, then 15min go by...etc. We see customers going in and out getting their orders right away and even curbside customers coming well after us getting their orders right away. As a transplant from Philly over 20 years ago finding sandwiches here as good as there was a real treat. I've been eating them since they opened in 1998. The problem I'm finding now is the incredibly shrinking sandwich! Rather than raising the price there making the sandwiches with much less meat. What can I say? I'm addicted to Lenny's hot pepper relish. My favorite sandwich is the mile high turkey, although I do love both the traditional Philly and the chicken philly. The fact that Lenny's is a local chain makes me love them even more! The meat is fresh sliced for your sandwich and their pickles are unlike any I've tasted at any other sandwich shop. I don't usually go to Lennys, but my husband likes their sandwiches. The service has greatly improved and the people were so pleasant. My husband ordered a 15" sandwich and when we got home he started eating and realized the banana peppers were left off his sandwich.He ate half the sandwich but not the second half. So I called and told them about what happen,and with no problem they fixed my husband a new 15" sandwich. Plus they gave him extra banana peppers on the side. Great customer service!!
