Firehouse never disappoints me. Outside of a messy hot sauce bar and a couple of dirty tables at every Firehouse I've been to, I absolutely love their food. I finally got to try their mac n cheese and being the mac n cheese snob that I am, I was pleasantly surprised. I always have a pleasant experience at this Eastgate Firehouse Subs. They offer vegetarian subs which is a plus for me. I enjoy their Veggie subs. The customer service is solid. I went during their lunch rush. The wait time was not too bad. Prices are reasonable. I do feel that since all workers were needed on the prep line during the rush so some minor details were missed. I wished that people who dine in would clean after themselves. If you do not want to clean your table at least throw your own thrash away. read more

The sandwiches are delicious but it seems everytime I come here, its kinda unkept. Atleast one staff member should be on clean up duty, wiping down tables, sweeping floors, cleaning windows and door,cleaning drink arean mopping floors. I'm too scared to go into the restroom, if it's unclean I would walk out and never return. read more

It really sucks that I live near this location but have to drive all the way to the Germantown location to get my sandwiches made correctly. After giving this location a 3rd try today, I give up. I'm only giving 2 stars for the friendly service every time. The first time I went, my Philly cheesesteak was good. So I was excited to keep coming, since it is so close. But the 2nd time I went, the meat was too chunky & dry and the peppers & onions were hardly cut up. They were so chunky I couldn't finish the sandwich. So today, I sent my husband for a hook and ladder for me. Well I'll be damned if they left the cheese off my sandwich. The best part IS the monterrey jack cheese. Super pissed. I might be SLIGHTLY biased for Firehouse Subs since they are from my 2nd hometown of Jacksonville, FL and their headquarters is right down the road from where I grew up. BUT, as far as steamed subs go, there is none better that I've tried. Their portions are generous and their sandwiches are the best. My go-to order is the New York Steamer which has pastrami and corned beef. This location in particular is very fast and friendly. You can't go wrong here and they'll have you saying, "Sub-who?!?" SINGLE. We've eaten at this particular store many times. I love the engineer sub partly because I happen to be an engineer and it's a little corny. However, it always tastes really good. Today, instead of the chips, I decided to go with a side order of the 5-cheese mac-n-cheese. It was TERRIBLE. The cheese wasn't like any I've tasted, and rather than complement the food, the parmesan bread crumbs seemed to make it worse. I guess I will have to go back to the chips for a side item. Was looking around for something to eat and I happen upon Firehouse Subs. Firehouse Subs is a sandwich shop specializing in hot american sandwiches. Upon walking in have to say I was impressed. The place was nice and clean with lots of firefighter memorabilia all over the place but done in a nice fashion without being obnoxious about it. Their menu is fairly simple and offer about 10 specialty sandwiches and about another 10 regular sandwiches. All of their sandwiches have some sort of firefighter related name such the Hook and Ladder or the Engine Company. Sandwiches here are big. You can either get a "medium" which is 8 or a Large which is 12. Pricing here is either $5.25 for a medium or $7.25 for a large. They do offer other items such as soups and salads. Place was busy but I manage to walk up to the counter and place my order. I ended up getting an Engineer which is a Smoked Turkey Breast with Swiss and Mushrooms. The girl taking my order did have an attitude. Was put off by it and looked around and noticed a lot of horse play going around at this location that the people were more interested in just messing around than making sandwiches even thought the place was busy. I probably waited about 10 minutes to get my sandwich to go which IMO seemed a bit to long to get a sandwich. Several employees where sitting around and only seemed like 1 or 2 people working when they must have had a staff of about 8 just BSing. I got my sandwich headed off to my hotel and dug in. I have to admit, it was a damn good sandwich. Even for the medium there was plenty of turkey on it along with a nice topping of swiss, mushrooms, and everything else. The wheat bread was nice and soft and tasted like it was freshly baked. As to ratings, I'm torn here, it was a really good sandwich and I can see why this place is gets busy and people wait for one, but they wait for a sandwich at the expense of having someone with an attitude take your order, witnessing horseplay going on with the employees while people are waiting for the food, and lets be honest here, 10 minutes to wait for a sandwich when you have a staff of about 8 there, is just way to long especially when they are not doing anything. So overall food gets 4 stars the service here gets 2 stars, so in the end Firehouse gets 3 star rating and if you can catch the staff on a good day, well worth looking into. read more

I often work out in this area, and love stopping in over at Firehouse subs. Awesome subs and huge selection of hot sauces. Service is generally pretty quick, even during the busy lunch hour. This is probably one of my favorite shops for hot subs. On top of a delicious assortment of subs, they have a wide array of hot sauces, including the Captain Sorensons sauce which is unique to their stores and can be purchased from them as well. I usually keep a bottle of it in the refrigerator at home. The sauce is not especially spicy but has a great flavor to it. This location does get busy at lunch, and can sometimes take a little while to get your food, but the wait usually isn't that bad. If your sitting in to eat, they will take your name and bring your sandwich out to you. I've never waited more than 10 minutes, which is acceptable to me as these are hot sandwiches, not cold subs. read more

As far as the sandwiches go I recommend trying a hot or specialty sandwich. My favorite is the smokehouse beef and cheddar brisket. I have also had the hook and ladder and the firehouse meatball and both are excellent! I will say the steak and cheese sandwich is average The Decor is Fun, with lots or red and a mural of firefighters fighting a fire painted on the wall. Also they have a large collection of various different hot sauces available for you to try. The service has been friendly when I have been there and has been relatively quick even with a line of people. Expect to pay about $10 a person for the sandwich and combo. Firehouse Subs is growing to be one of my favorite sandwich shops. It can be a little more pricey than others but I believe you get what you pay for here. read more

I love Firehouse but evidently I've been spoiled by the Collierville location because this location sux! My wife asked that she not receive a pickle because she can't stand pickles, pickle juice, pickle anything. We repeated this three times when we placed the order. I ordered the New York Steamer without mayo. My wife received a pickle in all it's glory! I received the Steamer with no mayo but also no mustard, no dressing, just meat and cheese. We were not greeted like we are at the Collierville location and this place was filthy. This entire staff needs to go through training at the Collierville location because they do it right. For a $20 lunch for two people you should do it right. I won't be back here EVER! read more

I visited this place for the first time yesterday. I did so because it was my birthday & they advertise a free sub with your ID. Unfortunately, they changed their policy, so I opted to do the online sign-up(thank goodness I had my phone!), which fetched me a coupon immediately. I paid for chips, a drink, & 2 oatmeal raisin cookies. Everything was EXCELLENT. It was by far the BEST sub I've ever had. I couldn't finish it. I shared it with my son. I will go there again. I frequent this location, coming here about once a week for lunch as it is close to my workplace. Service is almost always very good, and the food is always of high quality. I like the portion sizes, I feel like they are fair for the price. Lately, though, I've encountered a few cashiers who are unfamiliar with how to use the sub reward program. Basically, you use your phone number each time you come in, and after so many purchases, you earn a free sub or salad. Some of the cashiers seem stumped when I ask to redeem my free sub, but the manager is almost always visible at the store and is happy to assist. read more

The second time I went, I ordered the turkey bacon ranch. I couldn't stop raving about it even as I was eating it. They have really good bread and high quality ingredients.
