1. Drive thru line went fairly quickly, 5 cars in front of me at the height of dinner rush hour, got to the window in less then 10mins 2. Food was really good (order potato combo meal with brisket and a coke) a. The combo included 2 corn and cheese small muffins, a container of bbq sauce, and a large baked potato with butter, bacon, green onions, sour cream, and my choice of meat brisket b. The brisket was GOOD! The muffins were very light, buttery, moist; not dry at all or too corny. c. The bbq sauce was thankfully in a container off to the side, it was too watery for me and was not a fan of the taste, it was like ketchup with water. 3. Price a little high for my liking ($18) 4. Not a fan of styrofoam when there are better cheaper alternatives out there 5. There is a tip jar at the window and if you pay with a debit card they have you sign the receipt where it also asks for a tip. I'm not a fan of paying drive thru service workers a tip like you would a waiter/waitress. 6. Wish they sold chili. If they did sell chili I would like to see it come with the same toppings as the baked potato does. 7. I will definitely be a returning customer just not as often due to the price. read more

Alright... who doesn't like BBQ? It seems that everyone loves it, but everyone's got an opinion on it. I PCS'd from San Antonio, and I'm old as dirt so I have had my fair share of Q before. I would rate this experience a 3 and I will explain why... It's a drive through experience, and like all bbq places this food is obviously made in advance, so I won't be as pretentious to say "it was premade". But let's get down to the sauce, cause that's where much of the flavor resides... too sweet for me. I had the spare ribs, brisket and bbq chicken, collard greens and coleslaw. The ribs are a testament to BBQ, and these ribs were way too sweet for me. The bbq sauce had caked on so thick that it literally stuck to my teeth. I'm a dry ribs kind of guy personally, but this was more like molasses than bbq sauce. I can tell the ribs were originally cooked to perfection, but the thick layer of sauce and dry texture of meat let me know this was an old batch, either reheated or had been sitting for a long while. The most disappointing was the brisket... dry. Had to gnash it with my teeth, which were not as effective as they should be since the sauce was still glued to them. Coleslaw was bland. To be honest, I judge a place by their coleslaw. It may sound ridiculous, but if they skimp on the coleslaw, they're skimping elsewhere. Bland. It was a drive through experience, but disappointing nonetheless. 3/5... won't be going back. read more

Nom Nom Nom By far the best BBQ in the area. It is a dry BBQ by the way though you can order sauce to put on if wanted. It's great without it. I think over time I've about had everything on the menu but the pies. Everything has been 4 stars or better. The ribs are the best though. They do have the best hamburgers in the area too, I just love them and the only place I will get hamburgers at. I was told by staff that they hand grind from steak ( might be why they taste so good) Best sweet tea in the area too, though it can vary from good, overly sweet to just prefect. The sides are really good too. The potato salad is southern styled (with mustard,egg) that reminds me every time of my Grandmother's. Mac n cheese is caked with thick cheese and large noodles. The collards are usually very good though varied tastes from sweet to spicy might find them neutral. Destin has a sit down place. Niceville is drive-thru only. FWB is I wish they had one. When the BBQ hunger hits we drive the 20 minutes to get it from here since no place really compares to flavor and quality in this area. And when up by the college during lunch time, I tend to order a hamburger. I have had true BBQ in other places from dry to saucy. BBQ tastes varies from person to person as well. JnN tends to be a dry rub with a savory vinegar taste. It's not overly sweet either though just enough to bring out those smoky meat flavors. read more

It's consistently good. Get your food faster by calling ahead and pulling to the left of the building instead of the right-side drive-thru. They have the best chicken fingers in the county. The price is higher than Zaxby's (which we also like), but the food is better. Since restaurants re-opened, they're protecting patrons by wearing face masks. Their pulled pork is some of the best I've had (and I love BBQ). The texture is perfect, appearance is spot on with a bit of char, and the taste is outstanding. LOTS of smokey flavor! I keep going back for the pork so one of these days I'll venture out and get ribs & brisket but if you're undecided go for pork!
