I like the intentions. And from what I have read from others, it seems a lot of good experiences have been had. But, it looks like mine was not one of them. I went in with my huge travel voucher that I got as a result of a nearly 7 hour delay. Oh yeah, be jealous. So I took my whole $6 and decided to make it work the most for me. Since most of Lenny's sandwiches are around $7, plus this place was local, I figured this was my best bet. So I ordered the tuna sandwich. What I didn't realize, though, is that when I ordered tuna, I was really ordering a mayonnaise sandwich. Look, I am no mayo-fearing guy, but there comes a point where enough is enough. And that happened here. The tuna salad alone is soaked in the stuff. But then the slather it on even more. The cheese was fresh cut on a slicer, but something else that bugged me is that they cut the cheese on the same blade as the meat. Can you say cross food contamination? My two largest issues with this experience: 1) the place was empty. No line, maybe 2 other people sitting in the dining room, and about 4 staff on duty behind the counter. which caused... 2) I specifically asked for no mayonnaise and everything else. Confirming the sandwich maker's question, 'yes, I would like hot peppers'... I had no hot peppers, and I had way too much mayo. It may just have been the guy I dealt with, but I was not pleased. We placed an online order on 3/21/21, picked up the order and it was completely wrong. The receipt was correct, but none of the items made were made correctly. For example the grilled chicken salad had mayo based chicken salad on the salad and two sandwiches were incorrect as well. Luckily, we checked the order before leaving. Upon notifying the worker, we were told that the manager was on the way (would be there in 5 minutes) and he would be remaking our order. Twenty-five minutes later the manager was still not there and our order had not been remade. The employee working was not able to process a refund without his manager present. We left without a refund or our food. I was able to get in touch with the manager by phone who stated he would process the refund. We will see... 4/1/21- Refund still not processed or received a call from the manager. I texted the manager today and was told, "my boss is supposed to be handling this". Hey I visited this store around 3 when I got off work and had taste for a good cold sub and the young lady with the long braids actually made my sandwich pretty good i loved it but didn't like the way the older lady was rude to the young lady then walked away yelling like there wasn't customers in the store. I'll give him a break since he's from LA but he made a bet with me that Lenny's wouldn't be the most amazing sub he has ever had in his life! ...needless to say, I won that bet. Now every time he comes to Memphis, Lenny's is a ritual! I don't know if they have a secret ingredient or do something to their bread...maybe it is because everything is so fresh? I have been to this location four times as I live close by and like to give some chains another chance. This particular chain once seemed to promise me a far better quality of meat than Subway with prices lower than Quiznos. I've frequented Lenny's sub shops all around town over the past 9 years, and none have given me regular dissatisfaction as this particular one. But this most recent experience has turned me off for good. Not only from this one, but all the ones in town. I ordered the Italian, and the only thing on it that tasted good was the cheese. Everything else tasted "store bought." By that I mean it was if I had gone to a grocery store deli, and ordered a sandwich with the cheapest cuts of meats available. This sandwich should have some hint of the flavoring from the sausage meat (e.g. Fennel, Anise, or even simply Oregano.) But instead all I tasted was ham, and it was a 'too wet' kind of ham. I had no mayo or mustard on my sandwich, only the basic lettuce, tomato, onion, and a small amount of oil. My lady ordered the French Dip from my suggestion... The au-jus, though warm, was way too salty. And I do not mean salty in a way that it just needed more bread to balance it, I mean salty like she was dipping her sandwich into a bed of wet salt made from those little iodized salt packets us mere mortals normally put on fries. On top of that, the meat for it was extremely dry (probably because they cooked all the juice out of it, added 6000 grams of salt, and it became the Au-Jus) and there was clearly just not enough meat because it was stuffed in the middle of the sandwich to give the wrapped piece of bread a more bulky look I suppose. I will not write about my other bad experiences here, because there is no need to beat a dead horse. read more

They forgot half of my food and refused to refund me without a receipt, which I didn't have since I placed an online order. After a verbal altercation, in which they threatened to call the cops. I went back to my office and printed my confirmation and when I returned they refused to give me my refund and banned me for life from Lenny's. Don't use this company it's not worth it! read more

I think that I'm the first 'A-OK' here. Hm. I want to love Lenny's, but I just don't. If you really love cold cuts, and you like them piled on thick, they do that. Personally, I like the other place better. You know the one that I'm talking about. The first one. I just don't like the smell of Lenny's. However, my husband thinks that Lenny's is the best thing since sliced bread. I'd get basic turkey with veggies back in the day. And, yes, I still prefer the other place.
