Great place to get your eyes checked and get glasses. My Mom ordered some expensive sunglasses from Amazon and brought them here and they had no problem getting her prescription lenses made up with the frames. Even though they sold the same frame a bit higher. The girl that helped us was great. Very nine and knee what she was doing when it came to heating and bending frames. LensCrafters continues to NOT impress. This review is for the attached Doctors operation I experienced today. The two young ladies managing the desk are quite likely world champion recipients of the Rude Award. Hostile, insensitive, and completely incapable of explaining the insurance programs. One girl continued to repeat the same sentence over and over knowing full well I was not understanding what she was woefully attempting to explain. I have been going to Dr. Greene at LensCrafters to get my yearly checkup for contacts for several years. The reason I keep coming back is for how easy it is to make an appointment, the hours they offer for appointments and I appreciate the time Dr. Greene and her staff takes with each patient. I work a day job and having afternoon appointments is very important to me. I usually call a few weeks before I know I need an appointment and they always fit me in. I like this flexibility because it's hard when you call to make an appointment somewhere and they only have something months out. This past year, my prescription had changed significantly and my left eye was having a hard time adjusting to my contact. Dr. Greene suggested to wait a few weeks to see how it felt and if I needed to, I could come back and she could adjust it. After 1.5 weeks I was still uncertain about the contact, so she fit me in and took a second look at it and updated my prescription. She was very caring and didn't charge for me coming back. She took the time to make sure everything was good and I called in a few days to order contacts. One of the only cons of LensCrafters is that they are high end and they don't take all insurances. My husband has a different insurance and they do not take his insurance, so unfortunately he has to go somewhere else. Also, the wait time is kind of long. They will take you back and forth through different steps of the exam and fit people in-between you, so it usually takes an hour plus for the exam. I had an appointment at 4pm and was out after 5pm. This isn't a big deal, since they give you the attention when you are being examined, it just takes a while. Finally, I did not purchase my glasses here because of the prices. I found a better deal from a small business in town and didn't felt like I was pressured to buy anything. If you are looking for an excellent place to have your eyes examined, this is the place to be! They will take care of you and you will not be disappointed with the professionalism and care they put into making sure you are happy with the care they provide. read more

I ordered a very expensive frame and new progressive lenses. When they were picked up there was something wrong with the lenses, each time I tried to wear them over an 8 week period I got dizzy. I took them back and they gave me a hard time. Then the manager said; ok, just this once we will redo them because you are outside the 30 day guarantee. When I went back a few weeks later he was smug and smiling broadly. I put the glasses on and it was the same experience. I said nothing, packed up the glasses and sent them to a company in NY for analysis; low and behold the progressive lens was miss-measured and the entire lens was in my bi-focal prescription. Be careful when you go this place. They won't let you use a coupon and insurance in one transaction. They told me that I could and then when I got there they wouldn't let me. Then they told me that lenses would be 335 bucks in addition to the frames. What a waste of time. Was very disappointed. read more

I had my eyes examined by the optometrist, Dr. Greene, then ordered a pair of glasses with the new prescription. The staff were unfailingly competent and courteous, and they made every effort to get me into the right pair of glasses. Unfortunately the glasses themselves -- I was going for progressives that would be useful at work, with different powers for reading, computer usage, and distance viewing -- never seemed quite right, even after having them remade. Not sure if the problem was the glasses or me. I ended up returning them for a full refund and just sticking with my Foster Grant progressive readers. Four stars for service, and would have gone five if the glasses themselves had made me happy. Recommend! read more

I had an amazing experience at this LensCrafters location. Gen was very knowledgeable. She was able to give my son a lot of "cool" options (seriously, Mom doesn't know what is in style). Everyone was very professional. Being new to the area, the manager actually walked us down the road to show us a good place to have dinner ... above and beyond the call of duty. In addition to being open on the weekend, the people are amazingly friendly and helpful. I've been in a couple times for glasses adjustment and cleaning and they they've happily taken the time for me. I got glasses same day this past Saturday! Mike Metcalf was sensitive to my budget restraints and worked hard picking out frames on sale and advising me of all specials. I took my prescription to LensCrafters in the expectation of quality and mid-range prices. When I got my new glasses--"progressive correction" (no-line bifocals)--I felt like I was in a county fair funhouse: everything was distorted. Looking to one side or another tilted the field of vision like I was in Pisa Italy. Looking down to read, I had one like of text in semi-focus. I had to bobble my head like one of those dolls to do any reading. I took my glasses back, and was told "Get used to them." I finally gave up and threw out my lenses, saving the frames for new lenses from someone else. My eye doc told me that lens quality varies greatly between suppliers. How true it is. I've since gone elsewhere and am now perfectly satisfied with my vision correction. Think twice about going to Lenscrafters. read more
