Great location, so weird the difference in ratings from yelp to google- here it gives them a 2.5 but Google is a 4.6- idk why such a difference- but I have been going to this location for almost 3 years, my mom and cousin as well- always leave happy and when I have had an issues(I have a wonky prescription and face; so a few times due to the out of state lab have had to do remakes) they were quick to address and fix the issue and now love my dolce and gabana glasses!! After going to Vision Plus and having a bad experience specifically with the glasses order (Doctors were great on the flip side), I took my prescription and knew I needed to go somewhere else. I went into LensCrafters and had such a great experience. Customer service was excellent, no one was being pushy about trying to upsell anything, and the selection was overall pretty good. Amber, I believe her name is, was a total sweetheart and helped me figure out the best options with my insurance and just made me feel very comfortable. When I asked her about warranties, she was very upfront about the 30-day return policy or they have a one-year scratch/damage warranty for only $45 extra. I'm really glad that I came here and would definitely recommend this store. read more

The glasses have always arrived in a timely manner. They also just started lenscrafters+ which I will be looking into at my next purchase! I think my favorite thing they offer is their protection plan, add it at the time of purchase and come in and get them replaced for $50 as many times as you need. read more

First off, this place no longer has an onsite eye doctor for exams. You have to do them remotely with an eye doctor dialing in via video. If I had known this, I'd never have gone there. I had been seeing Dr. Best for at least a decade, but he retired and apparently this Lens Crafters location can't get and keep an onsite eye doctor. The remote eye exam aside, this Lens Crafters can NOT make lenses properly. I had a slight change in my left eye and decided to get a new pair of frames and lenses. When they arrived they seemed a little "off" but I gave them some time to get adjusted to the slight increase in prescription for my left eye. It never adjusted. Why? Because they made the left eye lens incorrectly. The focal point of the lens which should be right in the middle of the lens was down and to the right so it was down by my nose. If I was severely cross-eyed that may have worked, but I'm not. I returned the glasses and they did a bunch of measurements and took a photo with their iPad and took my glasses and said they'd remake the lens. A week later they were ready and the left eye was still EXACTLY wrong in EXACTLY the same way. I have my doubts that they even bothered to remake that lens and just had me wait a week and gave me back the exact same original lens. The guy helping me was just a young kid that had no idea what was going on, and one of the ladies that helped me before tried telling me I just needed to wait for my eyes to adjust. Then she said I'm just right-eye-dominant. WHAT!?! I told them I wanted to return the glasses and get my money back, and they screwed me over by $50 on that, too. I called my eye insurance and let them know about the situation so they could void that claim and get THEIR money back from this Lens Crafters SCAMMERS, and now I can go elsewhere and get new glasses made correctly. This Lens Crafters location used to be okay a decade ago, but now there is no onsite eye doctor, and the people working there are salespeople and do NOT know WHAT they are doing and DO add on expensive inclusions that you do NOT ask for and they do NOT tell you they did so. On top of that, they can't even manufacture the lenses properly! Stay AWAY from this place. They have become the fast-food version of eye care. Your eyesight deserves WAY better than this TERRIBLE location can offer! read more

Our sales rep, Sophie stated that my insurance was the "best" and a lot of people walked out of there with $1000 glasses, but only paid $100 out of pocket. I thought it was a weird comment and made note of it. Shortly after, my husband picked out frames that we knew were over the insurance allowance by $85. That was the only thing we were expecting to pay. When we added on the features that I normally add (poly and transitions) we were expecting a ZERO copay, as per my insurance benefit summary and the numerous times I've purchased from LensCrafters. We were shocked when the rep stated our copay was $140 and the total for the glasses was nearly $1000!! She was "unable" to provide a breakdown or explain why they were so expensive. We went back and forth and she was still unwilling to explain/ alter anything. I immediately knew we were being taken advantage of and decided to leave. The next day, I contacted a previously used Lens Crafters, and they confirmed that we were being grossly overcharged. They stated that the sales rep was either new or was being dishonest. That same day, Jordan, the manager for Bellis Fair Lens Crafters, reached out to me and pretty much confirmed my suspicions as well. He stated that, Sophie, was actually the assistant MANAGER and that she added Anti reflective and PREMIUM transitions, all without our permission. He made excuses for her behavior while admitting what occurred. Even with this information I STILL don't know how they came out to nearly $1000. The first part of this review (and the most important part) is for the eye doctor who works at this Bellis Fair Mall LensCrafters location, Daniel C. Best, O.D. He's a really nice guy, welcoming of his clients, gentle with his exam, and progressive in his manner. I have astigmatism and was having some trouble zeroing in on the focus exercises, so he turned over the controls to me which allowed me to slowly adjust the focus and find the sweet spot. He's the only eye doctor I've ever seen who allowed me to take control of finding my focus. It's a simple thing but it means the world to me and he just earned a client as long as we both remain in the same area. My 5-star review is for Dr. Best. The second part of this review is for the LensCrafters store. I interacted with various employees on staff and, some much more helpful than others. In the end, I did connect with someone who was genuinely interested in helping me choose a great frame. From my experience, I'd give the store itself 2-3 stars. read more

Never again! I'm from out of town, Cailfornia. Lost my glasses in the great PNW ocean. Called Lens Crafter and made an appointment at 1:00. Had to drive 1 hour from our location. When I arrived they did not have an appointment in my name. They told me they don't take appointments over the phone. I showed them the call I received from their store confirming I had a call from them. Sorry you will have to wait another 2.5 hours. Then on top if that they would not honor my prescription because it was 28 days to old. Staff was VERY unaccommodating they had no concern for me being out of town and in need of glasses quickly. I and family have spent thousands at their stores. NEVER AGAIN, YOU HAVE LOST MY BUSINESS FOREVER!!! read more

I had a wonderful experience, visiting LensCrafters. :) I walked in to the clean, organized store, and, an employee greeted me, and asked how I could be helped. I informed her I needed nose pads replaced on two pairs of glasses. That shouldn't be too expensive, right? The employee took my lenses, and, took down my name, and phone number, and advised me that she'd call me when the lenses were done - I could run other errands, if I needed. Then, about twenty minutes later, after visiting Target, I got a call - the lenses were done! I proceed back, and collect my lenses. I offer my credit card to the employee, and, he states, "Alrighty, that'll be $54.99." I had a rapid increase in heart rate, and my pupils began to dilate. "No, I'm kidding, haha. The nose pads are free." I laughed, thanked the employee, and was on my way. :) read more

I would not recommend Dr. Best to anyone I know. During the appointment he was impatient and rude, getting frustrated with me over my difficulties with my vision during the test. He made me physically adjust the optometry equipment, which upset me because I didn't come there to guess my prescription. I came to an eye doctor because I am not one and I do not know how to use the equipment. The prescription I received was different from the ones I have been wearing for years and while I know eyes do change, the way this prescription affected my vision made me question it's legitimacy. Having an eye exam with a doctor should be a professional experience, not one were you feel like you are annoying the doctor and he doesn't care enough to help you. read more

This review is for Dr. Best. He is patient, gentle and thorough. My husband has seen Dr. Best for years, but my son (age 8) and I just started seeing him this year. The charts from my former optometrist hadn't been sent over in time for our appointments but I was impressed that Dr. Best was able to identify pre-existing issues without seeing the charts. He took the time to get to know us on a personal level and my son felt very comfortable with him. He was very professional and answered all our questions. We are happy to have found him! read more

I took my 13 year old son into the Bellis Fair Mall LensCrafters this afternoon for an eye exam because he lost his glasses. I was appalled at the way Daniel Best, O.D. treated him. After barely introducing himself, not making eye contact with either of us, he went to put eye drops in my son's eyes without asking his permission or explaining the steps involved. My son is, as many people are, squeamish when anyone gets close to his eyes. Best's demeanor was visibly and audibly frustrated. He was rolling his eyes, pursing his lips, posturing in a way that made it obvious he was holding himself back...all while announcing my son had to comply. At this point, I stepped in in his defense, "give him a sec, he's a only 13, a kid..." My son, by this time, is tearful and trembling, and Best replies, "Most 13 year olds can handle this..." Outraged, but still controlled, I said, "So you're going to shame him?" At my urging, he gave my son some time and returned in a few minutes after complaining in the hall, within earshot, about the situation. I mentioned to him, in the past, we've always had our eyes dilated last. He finished the exam, I opted not to have the dilation done and we were ushered into the reception area. As a former healthcare worker, I am well aware if Dr. Best's obligation to provide care with compassion, empathy and 'first do no harm' manner. This has been a formidable experience for both my son and me as we felt threatened and this interaction will be permanently remembered as traumatic. I visited Lenscrafters to have a new pair of glasses made using my existing prescription (three years old). I had lost my glasses, but I knew that the prescription I had was still good because my spare pair, made to the same prescription, worked fine. I was told that I would have to pay for an eye exam first because there is a "State law that makes it illegal to make glasses using a prescription that is over two years old." What a crock. There is no such law. (There is a statute requiring an eye exam for a contact lens prescription that is over two years old). They then gave me a bogus phone number at the "department of health" to check it out for myself if I didn't believe them. What a run around. I guess they figured I would just go away, but I decided to Yelp them instead. Caveat emptor. read more

Absolutely disgusted with this organization. There service is appalling. Their operations are unethical. I spent over $300.00 on lenses and frames(I brought in my own prescription), after a 50% discount (what a joke). The sales person there guaranteed me the glasses I bought were "scratch resistant." They sold me an extended warranty, because they don't guarantee their work. You have to buy a guarantee (I should have known right than that this is an unethical business). When I left things seemed fine. A week later I had to have nose guards replaced. There is no refunds. Today, I had an issue with the "scratch resistance" lens. I took time off work so I could address the lenses. The first store employee(?) sub-contractor???? said "well there's no such thing as scratch resistant." Then why did you sell me scratch resistant lenses? I immediately began to get upset. I asked for the manager. The store clerk, sub-contractor, commission based salesman, or employee, whatever he was went to get the manager after some persuasion. Once the clerk, sub-contractor, commission based salesman, or employee, did come back with manager she came out of her office laughing, which I immediately found offensive (only because they had to be discussing my situation). The manager than attempted in her utmost professionalism to soothe my dissatisfied self. In doing so, she assured me she would make it right. Then she logged into the computer and said, "your prescription is expired and so I can't replace your frames." Why did you sell me extended service if it wasn't going to cover the length of my prescription? This company is poorly operated, the reviews which I wish I would have read first are predominantly poor, and for a corporation of this magnitude to function like this is absurd. Attempted to get help getting a new pair of glasses for my daughter who lost hers while visiting a foreign country and I wanted to have something to give her upon her return, knowing she has been blind for 9 days before her arrival. They flat out refused to do anything to help unless they could do EXACT measurements on her face for themselves, even though I was working with her eye doctor and supplying ALL measurments that he states they would need. This eye doctor is in the top 10% of doctors in the whoel state, but as we live in a very small place, he must send glasses out to be made and it would take 1-2 weeks to get them back. The thought of a quick pair until hers returned from manufacturing was supported by her eye doctor, and he provided tons of info, but still the clerk refused to be of any help unless I brought her in for precise measurements. And telling me they can't take her doctors Rx that is only a year old as valid proof of her need for glasses? Bunch of bull poop to me. read more

I visited the Bellis Fair Lenscrafters today and not one person in the store acknowledged that we were even in the store even though we were there for scheduled eye exams. We spent about ten minutes waiting to check in for our appointments and nobody ever came over to assist us. The sad thing about it is that one girl stood their with her thumb in her butt while she watched another girl help a customer. Needless to say I got the message that I didn't want to spend my money there. After reading the reviews of this Dr. Best I'm glad I didn't stick around. read more

A stunningly dreadful experience. Walked in for a scheduled appointment, not another computer was in either the store or the exam rooms, but we were made to wait 15 minutes for no known reason. The young woman who did the exam was beyond clueless when anything went off the rehearsed script, but we still managed to guide her back to the task and move on to selecting frames. She was of zero help to my husband in selecting frames, and when I reappeared from my own errand in the mall, I found him looking at two frames that neither suited him nor were within our budget. I found some frames that worked, he chose a pair he liked, and sat down to place the order. Rather than discuss the various options available (transition, anti-glare, etc.), the young woman added each to our order. She then announced the bill - $900.00! My husband came unglued. We had chosen a pair of frames that were $129.00, and he wanted transition lenses with anti-glare coating, which made the cost of the glasses shoot up to almost a thousand dollars! When I started asking questions, it was apparent that she had added some other features in which there was no interest. Even after taking the extras off, though, we were left with a bill in excess of $650, so we opted for straight bifocals and managed to get the priced down to a little over $400 - still FAR more than can be had via the Net, which is where we will purchase ALL our glasses, henceforth. The staff simply didn't seem to care at ALL, and their customer service skills were utterly absent. Oh, it's important you know that the rapid turnaround is ONLY available with simple prescriptions. In otherwords, if you need bifocals or anything else that's not extremely basic, you will have to wait a week to get your glasses. We have gotten his glasses and they are a bare minimum of what is required. The fitting was as appalling an experience as the rest, and we will NEVER return to LensCrafters. I urge you to avoid the experience as well. read more

Went to LenCrafters because they are a preferred provider on my vision insurance. Not a pleasant experience! Employee's showed little enthusiasm toward customer service. They spent more time socializing with customers instead off getting to the point and assisting them with their vision requirements. The eye exam from Dr. Best was okay. Nest it came time to order my frames and lenses. First employee started to help me, took several minutes looking up my insurance. This employee then passed me off to another employee for unknown reason. Had to start over again with this employee. Employee said that I would have to pay for 60% of the cost of the frames even though I know my insurance should cover 100%. Long story short. I got passed to another employee who couldn't answer any of my questions regarding the insurance coverage. I left. Will be making a complaint about them to the insurance company. read more
