This is the first review I've ever written but it felt necessary as my experience today at LensCrafters was so terrible! I specifically went to the mall to stop by LensCrafters as it's the only optical store I could find that was open on a Sunday. I'm just getting over the flu and was not looking my best (dressed in sweats and a sweatshirt). When I walked into the store I was greeted by a very nice woman who offered to help me, however, she soon started helping another couple who walked in while I was browsing through their selection. I was trying on and holding on to one pair of frames when one of their male sales staff came up to me and asked if I needed help. I told him politely that I was shopping around for a new pair of frames and asked him if he would mind writing down a few that I liked so I could come back and show my friend to get her opinion. He became very rude and asked how many I'd like him to write down. I responded by telling him just a few pairs (thinking no more than three) and he again, very rudely responded that it was not normal for the store to write down more than three pairs for a customer. I was really offended and left the store. I did find some frames I liked but I will be ordering them from another store as my experience with this place was so terrible. I got the impression that they cater to the customers who go into the store with nice attire who look like they want to spend money while this man felt I was not worth his time because I happened to be dressed casually on this day. My experience with One Hour Optical on Colorado Boulevard was much more pleasant; the salespeople were very friendly and didn't mind catering to any of your needs even if it meant writing down more than a few pairs of frames for you. While I did prefer the selection at LensCrafters, I think I will be finding frames somewhere else rather than deal with their rude staff. Not worth it! read more

A complete ripoff. They sell you frames and lenses for $500, but won't replace the lenses when they get scratched. They try to sell you a new frame and lens another $500. A company called 'Replace a Lens' will replace your old lens with identical quality lens using your old frames for $150.00. Save yourself the trouble and go the Replace a Lens. read more

My family members have had good experiences with other LensCrafters stores in the past, so I encouraged my boyfriend to get his first new pair of glasses in 7 years at this store. About $350 later, and after several long weeks waiting on them to arrive, he had a new pair of frameless Oakley eyeglasses. Well 5 months later with minimal wear, the lenses are fracturing from the points where they're drilled and attached to the frames. Because he opted not to purchase the 1-year protection plan (as his prescription has not changed for 10 years and he treats his glasses very delicately), LensCrafters offers zero coverage or warranty to replace/repair the glasses that were so poorly produced by the company. One of the sales staff offered a replacement pair at 50% off the full retail price, but a new pair of glasses at about $200 with this discount wasn't budgeted for another 4-5 years. Very disappointed in the service and production quality that LensCrafters offers! We will not return. read more

LensCrafters at Cherry Creek has worked with me for three months to get new glasses to work. Turns out it was an error from my doctor. LensCrafters made me new glasses, no charge. Every staff person has been friendly and understanding. I will never shop anywhere else for glasses! I hope you will go there, too. read more

Sets a new low in customer service. My wife ordered HD lenses with a special coating. She paid for all these options. When they came in there's no coating and they're not HD. No money given back or offer to reorder. A month later one of lenses develops something like an interior stain. Maybe it was the coating after all, but now going bad? So their gracious offer was that we could buy another set at a discount. How generous! That's how you boost sales. Sell defective merchandise and talk the poor sap into buying more! Outrageous! read more

I just bought a new pair of glasses yesterday since my prescription changed in my right eye and my current frame is too heavy and leaves marks on my nose. I figured I also get the lenses in my current frame changed as well so I have a backup. I was greeted once I stepped in, explained what I am looking for, handed over my glasses to explain how heavy they were. What drove me nuts was the guy showing me glasses repetitively used his thumbs to touch the lenses and I needed them to look at what I was about to buy! Never cleaned them or anything! Just handed them back to me! That's the first thing! Then after being handed over to another representative, everything was going fine, he was very nice, helping me pick between two frames I had picked out, took apart my old pair and cleaned them, until he showed me the bill! For the new frame I am buying, the cost was going to be $410 after insurance covered a bit, not bad given the lenses had almost every option they provided by lens crafters: Poly-carbonate, Transitions, anti-reflective, scratch-resistant, and it was a Ray Ban frame so I couldn't complain. The lenses for my current frame however, would cost $380!! Explain that to me! How can buying a new Ray Ban frame cost the same as buying just the lenses?! The representative couldn't answer the question! He then "remembered", after I complained, that he could change the discount code on the bill to lower the cost on the lenses. After fiddling around with the computer, the cost came down to $300. Still seems a bit high to me relative to buying a new frame! He then tried another discount code, which took it down to $260. Still seems high compared to buying a new frame! I ended up not buying the lenses for my old pair, because the cost seemed a bit too high for fixing up an old pair of eye glasses. What bothered me about all this, is the fact that these magical discounts only appeared when I complained! If you know you can save me money and win me over as a customer why don't you do it without me asking! I have to give the representative credit though for trying his best to get me the best price on the lenses. Right now I am waiting for the new frame to come in, I will post an update when they do! **Update: I did get the glasses on time, they fit well and I can see well, nothing to complain about. Lenscrafters misrepresented the extended warranty. Two days ago, I bought two pairs of glasses from Lenscrafters. The woman who did my fitting told me that the extended warranty covered "everything," including loss of the glasses, and that they would repair or replace the glasses "for free." I stupidly bought the warranty. Now, after a little research, I see that the warranty covers only damage from "handling and/or normal wear and tear," and there is a $25 copay for either frame or lens service ($50 for both services). read more

I had a pair of Ray Bans that needed to be repaired. They were originally from the Sunglass Hut who recommended I take it to Lens Crafters who would more effectively be able to fix them. When I got there, a very nice gentleman said he would ask a coworker if they would be able to repair. A woman came back informing me that she would try but there would be a risk that the glasses could break and they would not be liable if so. I understood and said thank you for her honesty despite her snarky attitude when telling me this. When I asked if they knew of any other options or places that would be less risky, she looked at me as if I were stupid and with a condescending tone replied "um no ever where is the same". When I told her I wanted to make a call, I could see her whispering to a coworker while shaking her head and looking back at me. I understand if I had no guarantee of fixing my glasses without them being broken, however her attitude was not appreciated and very unprofessional. I will not go there in the future nor would I recommend anyone go there due to this woman's poor customer service. read more

Horrible!! I have been there 4 times now trying to get contacts. every time I go in to get them there are so unorganized and I have to continue telling every person who works there why I am there. (They tell me my test contacts should be there in two to three days and 2-3 weeks go by before they call me to let me know there in) They have incorrect things written on my chart and then think I'm lying about it when they ask, like my prescription, it's not right, I clearly can't see out of one of my lenses and, instead of doing another eye exam they keep telling me it's me. This is the first and last time I will ever go to a Lens Crafters. Total waste of time and money! read more

I had a great experience with the actual dr. That is where the positive experience stops. The rest of the staff are rude and the overall customer service should get a negative star. Yes they have a great selection of frames....if you want to wait 2-3 weeks (with no call) to get your glasses although I was promised 7 days from the sales rep who also said that it NEVER takes that long. They are more concerned with mass volume than customer care, service or quality construction of the glasses. read more

I walked in being I have very extensive vision insurance and I was in the market for some high end, fancy new frames and lenses. I walked in walking over to the Prada, Tom Ford, Armani ect. section of frames, I was looking around for 10-15 minutes and NO ONE asked if I needed help of if they could help me find something. I looked around at the staff and the heavy lady with curly black long and hair bad skin ignored my eye contact I was trying to make. Just then, a middle aged woman and her daughter walked in and IMMEDIATELY, she jumped out of her chair to ask them if they needed help. Mind you I am wearing a pair of Prada clear framed glasses. It's pretty clear I like nice frames. Perhaps it was my sleeve of tattoos or perhaps because I might be perceived as being gay, but no one would wait on me. I kept looking around, no one would help me. Perhaps it didn't look like I have a pretty decent job in the customer service field, or it didn't look like I had $400 in my back buttoned pocket, but, whatever it was- no one waited on me. Even though I smiled at three different employees. Shame shame- aren't we supposed to NOT assume who has money or what our financial state might be based on physical appearance??? The ABSOLUTE worst! I don't even know where to begin, they got so many things wrong. First of all they thought my husband's name was Pecker. Its not. The doctor was incredibly rude to both my husband and I. The girls at the desk are incompetent and over charged us by over $100. Then when I picked up our contacts, the scrip on the box did not match the printed prescription they'd given us. I called to say they had ordered the wrong lenses and they guaranteed me they had not, even though I told them my husband could not see and the printed scrip matched his previous prescriptions but the current contacts did not. They said the printed version was wrong and the dr had made a mistake. First of all what kind of dr makes a mistake on a prescription?? One we would use to order new contacts and glasses??? Isn't that some sort of violation?? When I asked them to double check with the dr to verify which prescription was correct, she said we would have to wait 3 weeks because that dr only comes in one day a month and they can not contact them when they are not in the office. OK. So my husband who works on precision aircraft should go blind for 3 weeks?? Finally my husband called and was told the same thing. Even though he could not see using the contacts they'd ordered, they were right and the prescription was wrong. He finally convinced her to let him come in and have another exam for free. Low and behold, the contacts were wrong and the prescription was right like we'd said the whole time. The girl at the front desk changed her whole tune, throwing the dr under the bus (who was a jerk so I didn't really care). The whole thing was a mess and my husband suffered migraines from wearing incorrect lenses. We didn't even get an apology. Horrible, horrible place. Do not go there! read more

I have been a customer with LensCrafters for 15 years and I had great experience with them every time I go for an eye exam or to buy a pair of new glasses. Unfortunately this time I went to buy an Oakley frame and lenses my experience was terrible. This happened in the Cherry Creek Mall location. The sale's person was great. She worked with me through the whole process. I told her that this $375 frame was $350 three months before and I showed her a picture of the price that I took when I had my eye exam. She told me she would ask her manager if he can honor that price. The manager Patrick came to me without saying hi or anything but saying that they can't do anything about it because the price I showed the picture of was 3 months before. But the tone he was using was Rude, Rude, Rude... He just said what he had to say and left without apologizing that he couldn't honor the price. I was so upset and left right away. They just lost my 15 years doing business with them because of their unprofessional manager Patrick. I went to the Park Meadows location and they took care of me without any hesitation and matched the price I showed them and had my glasses ready within an hour when Cherry Creek location told me it will take 7 to 10 days to have them ready. I will never go back there again and recommend if you happen to go there not to deal with the Manager Patrick. He is an awful and unprofessional person. read more
