I've never reviewed a company in my life, but felt compelled to do so. All they care about is making a profit off of you. I wanted to order contact lenses from a 3rd party instead of their overpriced contact lenses that dry my eyes out, but they blocked the order so I'd have to buy directly from them and charge me 50% more. They said it's because they weren't able to do an exam with me wearing those lenses, but I've been wearing them for 20 years and no other Dr. has had an issue with it. They might as well just come out and say, we want your money and don't care about you. Employees are nice, buy will never go to them again and I'd advise you don't go here either. read more

My first experience was a bad experience and I didn't know it until 5 days later. I don't have anything bad to say about anyone or have anyone to blame. The doc and techs were professional, knowledgeable and pleasant. I really enjoyed everyone! But in general, I feel kinda swindled and it largely surrounds the Package Deal that was offered to me. My first visit, I came to get an updated Rx and order contacts. I was under the impression that the package deal that was offered to me after my eye exam was for contacts AND glasses, and I needed to buy the glasses at the time of purchasing contacts to get the deal. This is the only reason I opted to purchase the glasses. Wrong. Apparently I just paid for glasses. I don't think it's anyone's fault, but I think you all should know that I spent over a week with false assumptions my contacts had already been ordered and were on the way. I thought I already paid for them in a Package Deal! So instead of spending my $$$$ on contacts, I spent it on glasses. Which I didn't need! read more

For starters: I HATE THE EYE DOCTOR. This was the most enjoyable experience I have ever had with an eye doctor! They are amazing! Right off the bat when you walk in the front office staff is welcoming, friendly, and incredibly genuine. I immediately felt comfortable, like I was home. The doctor was phenomenal! He was funny, relatable, and was thorough! He has the coolest and most up to date technology! He was able to check my retinas with this amazing machine that does not even have to touch the eye! He answered all my questions and explained them in terms I could understand. I used to get my eyes checked at Target and NEVER AGAIN. I highly recommend this place! When my parents retire out here, I will be sending them to this place as well!!! Also, his assistant Ruthie is the cutest thing I ever saw! A little pup that greets you at the door :) read more

Dr. Lohmeyer and his team were courteous and professional during my visit. The reviews all echo the same sentiment. However it's been some time since their last review and I'd like to comment on their covid procedures. They have a sign posted on the front door instructing you to call first. Once you've established the purpose of your visit, a receptionist comes out to unlock the door and escort you inside the building. All employees have on ppe and execute a temperature check on all incoming patients. Everything is sanitized after use so no worries there. Same great service as previous reviews have mentioned. It doesn't get better than this! I recently switched optometrists for the first time in my life, and realized I was really going to miss my old one. I wanted an office full of staff who I knew cared about me, and had friendliness and humor. True Eye Care goes above and beyond to make their processes not only quick and easy, but pleasurable! I had a great time at my eye appointment... and you don't hear that often! Lastly, when I had a freak accident with shipping on my new contacts and ran out, they happily supplied me with extra contacts even after giving me plenty to tide me over at my appointment. I had one of the best eyeglass frame buying experiences at True Eye Care. First of all, they are taking Covid-19 seriously, wearing masks, limiting traffic, cleaning all surfaces, and sanitizing frames before and after trying on frames. This review is long overdue. I am from out of town and discovered Dr. Lohmeyer when my girlfriend had an emergency, severe corneal abrasion while in Denver on vacation. We called several different doctors on a Saturday afternoon and he stayed open to help us. I believe his name is Chris, but the gentleman working the front was amazing in helping us through this nightmare as well. He also saw us the next day, on his day off, to ensure she was healing properly. Easily one of the best medical experiences I've had in my life despite the situation. I called here on a whim because the place I had originally set up an appointment with apparently didn't take me insurance. Since I had the day off already to do so, it was important to find a place who could fit me in. I'm so happy they could because the amount of care I received here was like anywhere else I've ever been. I did a glasses and contact lens fitting and everyone made sure to get to know me, help me with any questions I had and the doctor even gave me several brands to try for dry eye contacts as I find contacts difficult to wear. A week later I went back to final my contact lenses and again was just blown away by how great everyone is. Highly recommend them! read more

I found out about this little gem on my drive home from the grocery store. The location is in one of Denver's hot spot neighborhoods, Jefferson Park. The office is not only clean, organized and modern, the frames they have are unique, reasonably priced and 100% on the latest trends. I called on Monday, late morning, to schedule a last minute appointment. Unfortunately, my insurance is expiring at the end of 2017. I explained my situation to Chris (Optician) - who was the best - and he was able to schedule me for an full exam on Friday morning of the same week! I was so impressed! Once I arrived (FYI - 2 hr street parking is easy to find and the new shops in the area are great, so check it out), Chris was there to greet me, check me in, quickly (and thoroughly) explain all the new patient paperwork and offered complimentary coffee/water/ tea. The entire new patient paperwork process was easy, quick and enjoyable (something I don't usually enjoy)! Chris was so friendly and honestly made my day! As soon as I finished my paperwork, Doctor Lohmeyer, O.D., came out to meet me. The Doctor was very professional, but fun at the Same time. The exam portion was one of the best I've had. Doctor Lohmeyer took the time to briefly explain everything (e.g. the equipment and its purpose, etc. - I learned so much!). Following the full exam, Doctor Lohmeyer reviewed and explained the results, options, showed me the amazing photos of the inside of my eyes (its amazing!), and provided me with a few samples (I have dryness due to medications I'm on) of artificial tears. After my exam and review of my eye photos, Dr. Lohmeyer sent me back to Chris to pick out my new frames. As I mentioned before, the selection is great! No matter your style, they will have something for you. Chris and I spent about 10 minutes pulling and trying out frames. The experience was great. I am a pretty decisive shopper, so Chris and I picked out- what I believe- the perfect pair of frames for my style face and budget! I'm confident that I've finally found an eye care doctor for the long term. . In addition to the great location, great office and wonderful staff, the level of personnel service is unmatched! Great addition to the Jefferson Park neighborhood. I live at 2785 Speer and was a quick walk to the office. The building and the office are brand new. The office has a professional first impression and nice design. Chris at the front was helpful and knew a TON about the frames/lenses on display. Dr. Lohmeyer was very generous with his time and services. At no point when I was in his office did I feel rushed or uncomfortable asking questions. My 8 year old daughter went for her first visit and ended up with her first set of glasses. The Dr. and Chris were great at encouraging her through this process. Dr. Nathan Lohmeyer is no ordinary Optometrist. He worked for the Moscot brand in Manhattan for many years and totally gets it. The have my favorite brands Moscot and Garrett Leight California Optical. No one has Garrett Leight near downtown Denver except these guys. First time here and I couldn't be more satisfied with the level of care I received. From the moment I walked in the front office personnel were very professional and friendly.
