Ive had high pressures in my eyes since I was 8 years old and being told I was a glaucoma suspect scared me to death when I was a kid. Going here, I never felt scared of going into the eye doctor because they were so caring and I knew they were never once going to hurt me. They have monitored it for over 10 years and have done all the necessary steps, tests, and evaluations on me all these years . A huge part of why I went into the field of ophthalmology is because of my awesome eye clinic growing up. Now that Im older and after my regular eye doctor retired I was a little heartbroken and scared to try a new doctor, but I was pleasantly surprised. Last year I went in for a yearly exam and was told I have GCP (because I would sleep in my contacts... dumb I know) Dr. Banta was very good about telling me what this meant for my eyes, how to treat it, and to stop wearing my contacts so often. He gave me the kick in the butt I needed. About 3 months later I ended up getting PRK (laser vision correction) which has drastically improved my eyesight and made my eyes feel A LOT healthier. I go in next week for my yearly eye exam and am excited! The office overall is incredibly friendly, knowledgeable, and attentive to my needs. As a patient I feel welcomed and love the fact that they play K LOVE in the waiting room. Such an great place, highly recommend.

Moved to Tri-Cities in 2009 and started going here based on recommendation from a friend…read more The first time I purchased eye glasses, the staff were very impatient and didn't want to help me adjust the glasses so they'd be level on my face. I guess I had grown used to that service in the past 20 years from all the other stores I've purchased glasses from. They were in a hurry to get back to their computer in the back enclosed office, so I left with crooked glasses and used pliers to bend the glasses into place at home later that night. Another problem: my lenses had advertisement engraving/etching on the lenses. I noticed when pulling out of the parking lot that oncoming traffic was blurry. I took off the glasses looking for dirty spots and noticed letters "SV" and "R" engraved in several places on the lenses. I complained and they did replace the lenses, but I had to wait an additional three weeks. With a vacation coming up, I ordered a spare pair of glasses on April 22nd. We called the store over the phone, said we wanted to order the same thing, and gave a credit card number. The glasses cost $400 and arrived in about 3 weeks. When I put on the glasses and looked around I again saw engraving of letters on the lenses. I explained that this had already happened before. They said they'd fix the issue. Another 2 weeks went by and the "new" glasses arrived on May 24th. This time, my wife picked up the glasses and brought them home. When I got home from work to try on the glasses a second time, found out the "new" glasses still have letter engraving. Called in to the store to complain (not enough time to drive to the store before 6PM close). They gave us the same story again that they would have the lab make new lenses. Our vacation starts next week and they said they cannot expedite the new lenses and that we don't have them in time for vacation. $400 and 6 weeks later and still no glasses. We can order the same glasses off the internet for $175. (2 for the price of 1). -Staff are too busy in the back office room to be bothered helping customers. (not sure what they are doing in there but they spend a lot of time back there). -Staff orders the wrong lenses repeatedly. -Glasses are twice as expensive as the internet (and take 3 times as long to arrive due to all the mistakes) Avoid Columbia Crest Eye Care if you need to buy a new pair of glasses.

When they finally arrived nearly a month later, my distance vision was blurry. I was told to "adjust" to them, but they were never correct. At a follow-up, I was informed I'd need another copay for an issue already addressed. A second doctor later confirmed the original lenses were wrong. Then came six more weeks of no communication, I had to repeatedly call just to get answers. After 98 days, I finally received revised glasses, and two days later a screw fell out of the frame. Poor communication, incorrect lenses, billing confusion, long delays, and defective frames made this one of the most stressful medical service experiences I've had. I cannot recommend them.

So more of my time to make their sales. Made the appointment a couple more weeks for 8:45am. I checked in at 8:40, waited 30 minutes and NO ONE came to help me. I take time out of my day to make the appointment and i don't get helped. They send me a text the day before saying if I don't keep the appointment I could be charged a $75 no show fee. Well, where is my $75 for your no show?? I'll be finding a new eye care team for my needs.

The young guy that works in optical made a snotty remark to me to the effect of "last time we ordered a frame for you, you didn't buy it". If you don't want people ordering frames without knowing if they are going to like them in person and that they are going to purchase them no matter what, then don't let people order them under the premise that you will just sell them to someone else and that its not a big deal. I never went back after that.
