It took many attempts this time, but Michael (the owner) and Dr. Thomas kept at it until I was comfortable with the results. While I'd love to be able to walk out all set on the first try, that has never been the case, regardless of what retailer I go to. But I'm sticking with Pearle Vision because of their customer service. I've tried other stores and had horrible experiences, because while the process is challenging, how the staff handles that challenge makes all the difference. No one at Pearle Vision made it my fault, unlike other stores. That said, I contribute to the challenge if I don't accurately answer the exam questions (sometimes, it isn't easy to distinguish which version is better), so for me, the challenge is inevitable. The commitment by the owner, the doctor, and the staff to make me happy is worth my loyalty.

I select frames from this location but when I went back to order the glasses (I had to wear the contacts for a week before they would give me the glasses rx) they had lost the frames I wanted. So I went to Sam's found frames I liked and had the glasses made there. Upon getting them made I was having a hard time seeing. Like couldn't specially adjust to them. So I took them back to Sam's and they provided a full REFUND. They said it may be the material that they use to make the lenses. So back I go to Lakeland Eye Clinic. I select some frames, (not the ones I originally wanted and they lost) but none the less. I have them made at twice the cost of Sam's, hoping for a better outcome. NOPE, still cannot see. Took them back asked for a refund and they said they have a no return policy. So they have the glasses, and my money until I can get back in to see the doctor. And now I am forced to use them again! Once this is over I will never go back.

The woman at the desk said they were very busy and handed the case with the glasses and told to "take them home and try them on." This is not the usual procedure because if something is wrong we would have to return to the store. Upon opening the case we discover one of the temples on the frame was broken off. The woman then says "you can order new frames at a discount." When my wife protests and says that is unacceptable the woman further says that "you signed a document when she placed the order that states they are not responsible for any damage." We feel, the fact they sat on these glasses for weeks without any communication and then tell us to "try them on at home" when picked up, was a blatant attempt to cover up their mistake as they could've claimed they were broken after we took them home. They had to know they were broken when they handed them to her and never mentioned they were obviously damaged furthering the attempted coverup. Our family has been patronizing this location for years for both exams and glasses and find this behavior reprehensible. We request that they either repair the frames that they obviously broke or replace them with a similar one at not cost. 12/02/20 update: Received a call from their corporate office last week. The representative apologized and instructed my wife to return to the office and receive a replacement pair of frames at no cost. That's how customer service is supposed to work.
