The staff was very friendly and patient with me AND with my two year old running around in their play area! Even though the store was busy at the time, they went out of their way to show me and give me their opinion on a wide selection of frames, without making me feel rushed. I was paired with a staff member with a similar prescription (the store manager, Odessa) which turned out to be very helpful in selecting frames as well as lens options that best suited that prescription. We had narrowed it down to two frames, and when I couldn't decide between them, she offered to take pictures of me with both so that I could see them from different angles. A small thing, but another example of their attentiveness and above-and-beyond service. My glasses arrived very quickly and exactly as expected, and I received the same great service when I picked them up and had them fitted. I would definitely go back!

Excessive fees...this office charges extra fees for services are typically included by others. For…read moreexample, they recommend that you have your eyes dilated, but its an extra charge. They also recommend that you get the drops to reverse the dilation, but that is also an additional fee. If you are new to wearing contact lenses, you must take a $129 "class", to learn how to put them on and take them out, typically included elsewhere with exam and purchase of contacts. Mind you, you still need to pay for the actual contacts. To avoid that fee, I asked for her prescription to take elsewhere, and they wouldn't do it. I recommend when booking your appointment to ask about extra charges associated with your appointment.

Note: I'm not having any issues but scheduled my annual & routine eye check up. At the appointment they start by doing some standard tests and then the DR does their normal and routine tests. If they don't find any eye issues, I only pay the $10.00 co-pay. However, (little did I know) if they find an eye condition they automatically change this to a medical appointment which now costs $65.23. Here is my complaint. The only thing different is them telling me about the condition of my eyes. So instead of saying your eyes are perfect and come back in a year they tell you about an eye condition, they'll keep an eye on it and come back in a year. Is this not the purpose of a check up is to find out the condition of your eyes. Let me repeat: Nothing (no tests, eye checks) was done different from it being a $10.00 visit to a $65.23 visit except they TOLD me about a situation with my eye. There was absolutely no additional work done during that appointment. When I have my dental check-ups they tell me the condition of my teeth. If they find work that needs to be done they don't go back and charge me for the check up. We move forward with my treatment plan. United Health Care said they pay according to the code the doctor's use. The Eye Care Clinic changing this to medical billing generates more money for them and more out of pocket for the customer. I live in Brooklyn Center, and I have been going to that location for years. Unfortunately the store there closed, but they transferred my files here to Maple Grove, which is close to me. I found this location is even a better store, more parking and a nice facility. The doctor is just as nice and so are the staff. Highly recommend.

Here they took the time to do a full exam (and as suspected) the previous place did it wrong and my prescription was off. The optometrist explained everything to me which was very helpful. I just recently started using glasses (Mostly for reading smaller text) and she was able to point out a few things. Also, I was having a lot of issues with red eye and dry eye (which I assumed was caused by all the medications I take). I had tried Visine and some others and nothing worked. She explained the oil ducts and releasing those. I was 1 million percent happy with the visit. She was very knowledgeable. The staff on the floor was and is extremely helpful, kind caring. One of the girls commented that my partner and I were a really cute couple. Against my now fiancé's wishes (he wants a small wedding... haha) I told the girls they are welcome! The staff explained to me that my insurance would cover bifocals with the visible line which I didn't want. But if I got a second pair I could get what I wanted at a fraction of the price. So I did that and I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE them. They told me to pick out any frame I like and they would work with me on price. The "other" place brought out a box with 8 frames in it and said "pick one this is all your insurance covers, you can't get any other frames". I was even willing to pay extra. But PV would not let me. Don't go there... a hint it's right next to Taco Johns in Maple Grove..... I will from now on get all of my exams and glasses here. Love all of the staff here!!!!

Unfortunately, my experience with Dr. Sealock was extremely disappointing. I found him to be rude, unprofessional, and disrespectful throughout the appointment. Multiple times he cut me off while I was trying to speak or ask questions regarding my family member's care. What stood out most was his comment, "Well you can be mad at me," while continuing to ignore the concerns and questions being brought up. In my 15 years working in healthcare, I have never witnessed a physician speak to a patient or family member that way. It showed a complete lack of bedside manner, professionalism, and compassion. Advocating for a loved one should not be met with dismissiveness or hostility. Very disappointing experience.

I told them I had another set of frames that were identical to the ones I had them do. They said just bring them in and we will send them in. I went in today and they said they are no longer doing frames they dont sell. I spent nearly $700 on glasses for my wife and and now I cant get a spare pair . Really lousy way to do business. Danielle the manager asked me not to mention it was the Target Optical in Champlin, I guess I am as helpful and care as much as she did. Save you money and frustration !
