Never will I ever!!! CUSTOMERS BEWARE OF WAIT!

They want to limit "customers" terribly offended by this individually owned Pearle Vision. PLEASE OWNERS: read how they are turning away customers for now reason. We are well past pandemic stage and I have been to three other PV stores and you are allowed to enter and try in frames. THIS STORE forbids (apparently) you to even LOOK to see if there are any frames you are even willing to WAIT in line to see. Yes. Wait for to see. They only allow those in the store who have made an appointment or are willing to wait un line until a rep can "be with you" while you look at Frakes. The other stores allow you to look and add glasses to a tray that easy they clean the ones you tried on. This was my third visit to this store to see frames they had that other locations may not. They do not communicate how this works except yo wait for next assist. I already had on mask as I need to wear when out in public. But you do need a mask. Well I guess SOME do as some folks with kids entered and were not told to wear a mask they were picking up a t thr desk but they were inside thr store soo...??? So again I waited and after two people left I thought I was next. Then after waiting a few min I asked thr desk person if the person was coming since I was next and had been waiting, more waiting. She then advised that person went on break. They only had two workers (one was the assist. Mgr who I later wanted to speak to as my wait got longer and longer for NO REASON!!!!) So one customer. The assist Mgr helping her. One on break and gal at desk. Some came and went after seeing I was not helped and standing. One lady came, left and returned later and sat to wait. Meanwhile I am still waiting. When asked how long that person was going to be , how long is thr break ? Amd was yold 15 min. Since i had plenty of time to wait I was on phone with a relative who heard the whole encounter. I was giving word for word play of the events. It was quite annoying the level of nonchalantness they had and the air of "we could care less"!. Again owners just to let you know in this time frame which I need to confirm my my phone minutes was like 1/2 hour at this point as foe me it was a matter of principle! They should not be able to treat potential customers this way and hello.... you are I side a MALL! I never took my mask of. I told thr Hal at thr desk before I committed to spending any more time waiting I wanted to look see if they even had thr frames I wanted to see. She had I guess went back and told the other employee I was talking bad about them on my call but I was just giving a play by play so if your store looks bad that's on you! You should instead of talking about me you should discuss how your store could function better to meet customers needs. As you continued to turn many people away and do seemingly little work. Bad work ethic. Bad communication and organization. The "assistant manager" I believe was her title finally came over and instead of offering to help said the desk gurl was upset and in thr bad so now the other worker was not going to assist me. So then she said they were not going to service me (which they up till now had not been providing me service at all! I ask why she could help assist since she had been speaking to see I gave my side of this entire experience and if anyone should have been upset it should be me. I'm the one who after 3 different attempt to see frames at this store had been unable EACH time!! She also claimed I had during my call called the girl a name which was 100% not true and I told the assist Mgr that. And that I was now extremely offended and should get an apology as that was not true. The assist Mgr explained their policy as I wondered why not just allow me to try on the glasses like all other stores do? I'm sorry but it's a eyeglass store folks. Amd that I even explained I was going to look only (no touch ) and told thr Mgr that when I went to look. So why is this girl crying and "upset"?? That is on her and nothing to do with me. I can speak my story on my phone and that is not illegal ? I assume she made up that bit about me calling her a name to made her coworkers have more sympathy but that was untrue and she and my relative on the phone knows it!!. So I told her I was calling mall security! She said they have had "trouble" in this mall. I'm of color but I'm not "hood", I had no weapon, was my skin color all it took??? Wow. They need better store policy! They need better staff training! They need diversity training! And the owners need to watch video on how many potential customers they are losing. They just lost this one for likely $800 glasses!!! I did go to security office who advised me to report formally which I will do. Oh and lastly the 1(one) customer that was helped during this time chatted with me when I left the store she liked by boots super nice lady so I must not been much of fuss?????

Vintage Matsuda eyeglasses. Look like Oliver People's but they're not. CLEANED UP like the day I bought them 30 years ago!!

Scott is a great optometrist, and has helped correct a couple issues with my vision that doctors at clinics did not find.

I can confidently say that Dr. Viker and Dr. Gustafson are the best optometrists I have ever seen. While many optometrists these days spend 15 minutes max with you -- placing value on efficiency and getting as many patients in and out of the door as possible -- both Dr. Viker and Dr. Gustafson put the patient first, taking the time to not only get your prescription right but also get a good understanding of the lifestyle factors that may be affecting your vision. Moreover, I've had preventive tests done at this practice that optometrists at other practices haven't even offered to me (e.g., that dreaded air puff test). Another thing that's great about Drs. Viker and Gustafson is that they love getting to know their patients personally. When I moved to the East Coast in 2011, I started seeing optometrists nearer to where I lived instead of waiting to get my eye exams done while visiting my parents on vacation. However, circumstances were such that I ended up needing to see Dr. Viker again in 2017, when I was home for the holidays. If you can believe it, after 6 long years, Dr. Viker not only personally recognized me but also remembered some of the things I told her back in 2011! What truly puts The Eye Doctors on top, however, is their commitment to customer service. In 2017, I ended up getting a faulty pair of glasses that -- due to a perfect storm of factors -- could not be returned to the lab and redone for me. It was a terrible circumstance in which I was out nearly $100 with prescription glasses that I could not use. However, even though much of the responsibility lay at the hands of the opticians who helped me with my order, Dr. Viker made the decision to reimburse me for the cost of the glasses out of the company budget. Given that the optometrist and optician practices are separate, Dr. Viker totally didn't have to do this, which made the gesture all the more meaningful to me. All in all, if you are living in the Twin Cities area, do yourself a favor and become a patient of Dr. Viker or Dr. Gustafson. You won't regret it.

I checked the website and it said they were open until 8pm. Of course when I got there at 6:30pm the "Target" Optical was closed. Keep in mind they are not open on the weekends per their voicemail but online says they are. I use Target in quotes as it's not really Target at all but a space they lease to an optometrist. I learned this after speaking with three different managers. Now I'm not so young as to accept this level of service as the new normal nor am I so old as to expect them to go to far out of their way, BUT I used to be in customer service and would have at least tried to solve the problem. I'm sure they had the numbers to the employees that work in optical, a simple phone call to see if anyone would be willing to come and get me my glasses would have been appreciated. The glasses were of course already paid for and measured. How about a gift card for my trouble and the misleading website information? Nope. The optical is not part of Target. If Target is not responsible for the customer service in the optical department who's to say they are not responsible in the pharmacy or clinic or Starbucks for that matter? Would you trust these departments servicing your family when you can't even be sure who to contact if something goes wrong? Big box retailers have to understand that besides supply chain issues and lack of qualified staff, there is another reason why everyone is turning to online shopping for everything. Online retailers know how to treat their customers. They understand how important it is to cultivate new customers, keep the business of their loyal customers and avoid negative reviews. Make good choices about where you spend hard earned money. It is harder to earn and easier to lose to those companies with unscrupulous business practices.
