I've had good experiences at other LensCrafters locations, including one in Raleigh, NC, where communication was clear and delivery timelines were accurate. Unfortunately, this Marietta location has now given me the same experience two years in a row, and it's consistently poor. I ordered glasses on January 3rd based on the advertised 10-day delivery timeframe. Since then, I've received multiple changing explanations for delays, each only communicated after the previous promised date had already passed. First it was a frame backorder, then lens grinding delays, and most recently a broken lens and backordered lens material pushing delivery even further out. At no point was any of this proactively communicated. I had to call each time to find out what had changed. To make matters more confusing, I received an automated "hope your glasses are working out" survey while being told the order was still weeks from completion. The issue here isn't that delays happen. It's the lack of transparency, ownership, and communication. Other LensCrafters stores clearly manage this better, which makes this feel like a local management issue rather than a brand-wide one. If timelines slip, customers should be told early and clearly, not after deadlines pass. I wanted to give this store the benefit of the doubt, but experiencing the same pattern across two different years makes it hard to recommend. read more

My daughter was pleased with the service she received from the optometrist and the whole front end. Heck, I may go back from a couple of frames I liked. read more

They refused to give pupil distance even after requesting it before the exam and then refused in attempt to force us to buy the glasses through them. Then was rude and told us to just download an app. Manager was extremely unprofessional! read more

Very unprofessional (one exception); eye exam offered glasses to improve vision; when that did not happen, Dr. Lakhani changed the diagnosis to read "glasses can no longer improve vision" and referred me to cataract surgery. Five Stars for Michelle, but one star for the following. The representative we had originally, failed three times (one star for her). She ordered the wrong glasses & lenses twice, even though the paper work showed different glasses/lenses. And it gets worse. The manager did the same thing; meaning ordered the wrong glasses/lenses, (one star). After six weeks, many telephone calls and having to show up four times, Michelle figured out what the original Rep and Manager could not figure out and got the right glasses/lenses. She knows the system correctly, she understands customer service, and she was very professional and courteous. Today, I finally got the correct glasses/lenses thanks to her. I've received nothing but awesome service when visiting either Dr. James Pack or LensCrafters. Their fluid transition of service from one to the other impresses me greatly. LensCrafter's staff is pleasant and accommodating. I have even had an eyeware consultant be so kind as to reopen the store to grab a some contacts I direly needed the evening before an interview! On January 13, 2018, my wife and I went to the Lenscrafters at the Avenue East Cobb in Marietta Georgia for our annual eye exams. Following the exams my wife elected to have new lenses placed in her Chopard (Sku #VCH 097 55 16 0743 1400) frames valued at US $494.95. In placing our orders we have been LensCrafters customer for several years and simply handed over my wife's frames to the manager (Kimberly) that fit my wife's glasses. We were then informed that they should be back from the lab within 7-10 days. After the 7-10 days had passed, we arrived in the store to pick up the glasses only to be informed that the frames had been broken during shipment to the lab. The manager apologized for the inconvenience and offered to remedy the situation by replacing the frames. Unfortunately they did not carry these specific frames and then offered to have the Regional Manager purchase them on a company credit card. We should have been suspect when they could not purchase the frames from the local store. However, The two of us agreed to proceeded to take them up on the offer and assumed that the frames would be ordered, shipped to the lab and then be ready for pickup within another 7-10 business days at the earliest. To our dismay the glasses were not available when we returned to the store after the 7-10 days with the expectation that the new glasses would be ready and available for pickup. On this occasion the Manager (Kimberly) informed us that the Regional Manager had yet to order the frames and that they could not give an estimated date on when my new glasses would be available. During the course of several follow up calls my wife Has continually asked to be contacted directly by the Regional Manager in an effort to get a clear answer on when the frames would be ordered and available. The Store Manager (Kimberly) shared that company policy did not allow them to give out the Regional Manager's contact information and that she would again pass along our information to her manager in an effort to quickly resolve the matter. Needless to say we remain very frustrated with the lack of customer service and the fact that the situation has only deteriorated without resolution. The Store Manager who offered to get the replacement glasses obviously did not know what she was doing, as she kept stating that she is awaiting action by the Regional Manager. As of this date, we have continually contacted the local manager requesting that the Regional Manager contact us directly, without any action. Additionally, we have requested to be either reimbursed or compensated as they have already billed our insurance. All of this effort has amounted to nothing more than continued delays and continued poor service. At this point the only resolution that would be acceptable would be reimbursement for the frames, my wife's eye exam and the satisfaction of taking our business on to a more customer focused competitor. We have been repeatedly told that they still do not have the glasses. "Sorry there is nothing that I can do to help you." Again, we had been Lenscrafters customers for over several years, but will definitely not be going back. read more

Don't use if you want to buy glasses online. I use Lens Crafters as my eye doctor. I called to get my PD so that I could order glasses online. The Lenox mall Lens Crafters gave me an estimate, which they said was not accurate - they have to measure PD specifically for the pair glasses to be worn. I asked if they could give me the PD on file from my last pair of glasses so that I would have a point of reference. She said she didn't have it on file, but to try the Lens Crafters of East Cobb where I bought the original pair of glasses. The Lens Crafters of East Cobb said that they have a policy, and they are not allowed to give me that measurement. She even went so far as to say that privacy laws prohibit her from sharing my own information with me. She was very clear that they have an issue with people ordering glasses online, and I think the "policy" she was talking about is simply to impede their clients from doing so. I'd recommend they deal with their online competition in another way, and not argue with their customers/refuse them their information. Not a great experience. read more

My prize of the evening; a night with this LensCrafters location. From the beginning, they were so attentive and welcoming. It has been quite a while since I've last visited from this franchise, but it didn't leave quite an impression, not like this location. I noticed that other clients were treated extremely well and it does surprise me that this location doesn't have many reviews when it should. The employees were more than helpful in picking out my glasses on such short notice. I knew that I was holding up what could have been an easy Wednesday. Of course, I needed a pair to be made within 20 minutes. Ute, a friendly employee, was happy to assist me in picking out a pair. The first decision received an immediate "yes" from me, and the next choice was welcomed with an even bigger applause. The style of choice were nice thick framed two toned RayBans, and I was more than pleased. I checked out with ease and even had a great conversation with Ute while my specs were being handled. If there was ever a place that could deliver glasses in record time, it would be this LensCrafters. I'm delighted to write a review for this great location and will be returning soon for a much needed exam. Thanks again for taking care of me on such short notice. I think this would be my second ever review on yelp and I have been on yelp for about 5 years, if not more. But just had to share. Online reviews matter and I am beginning to use online reviews more and more to get into any business. People's experiences do matter. So let me get to my experience. I bought two pairs of glasses last November or the end of 2019. I have glasses; I was just trying to exhaust my HSA funds so I don't lose them. I got prescription sunglasses from LensCrafters and those did fit well, but I cannot see through the regular glasses and I kept wondering why. I went to the store and they told me I just had to get used to the glasses by wearing them more. I questioned why I did not have to get used to my sunglasses and they couldn't answer that. However, my sister who has used lensCrafters before told me that her glasses had to be remade so maybe they have to redo mine. So I went back and they agreed to redo the glasses but still, it didn't work out. I tried to wear the glasses more to get " used to them". But remember, I had other glasses, so it wasn't an urgent matter. Fast forward several months later, I go to another place to try on glasses. Out of curiosity I hand them my glasses from LensCrafters to check the lenses. Lo and behold, I was told that the lenses in the glasses did not match my prescription. I went to another place and was told the same thing. To be scientific about it, I gave them my sunglasses and those matched my prescription better. What now? I came to LensCrafters and told them about my epic discovery. Did not request anything. Just wanted to see if they could check again and admit that they were off with my prescription. Maybe someone had typed the wrong digits into the computer. Did they admit it???Nooooo. The lady - tall with brown hair focused a whole 5 minutes of my precious life to lecture me on 30 day warranty and how it's been nine months blah blah blah. I know how warranty works. What I don't understand is how a franchise like LensCrafters can succeed to "screw up a prescription twice. I have worn glasses for 30 years and NEVER, EVER has my prescription been wrong . So I really believed you telling me that I just had to adjust to the bifocals and all. You took my glasses to the back and came out and told me to my face that the numbers were within "the margin of error"??? Instead of acknowledging that you did not do your job? And you managed to be rude and unprofessional about it? LensCrafters has a nice selection of frames. I might still stop by for frames but as for letting you all complete my prescription, that's a NO, NO. There are plenty of places that offer better customer service and better-priced prescriptions as well. I even tried to explain to the lady that the reason I hadn't been back was because of the pandemic. I didn't realize LensCrafters never closed due to the pandemic. Forgive me for assuming that you would have closed to come up with safety measures to protect your clients and employees. I went to the LensCrafters in east Cobb at the avenues and the experience has not been good. My appointment with the eye doctor was fine, very professional, but the trouble started once I had to order my glasses. The first girl I worked with seemed clueless and very unhelpful. I asked her for opinions on types and shapes of glasses that would fit my face and she simply said "that's your decision". So I picked out some glasses, paid for them and asked how long the wait would be, she said a week to 10 days, that's when I found out they no longer have labs in the store and they send it to a central location. I was told the quality is so much better now. Well, it's been a month and I still don't have my glasses. The first pair had to be sent back because it didn't meet quality control, so another 10 days; the next pair glasses the lenses weren't right; And the third pair of glasses, well I haven't gotten them yet. The one thing LensCrafters had going for them was the fact that they had labs in every store and you could get your glasses in one hour. If there was a problem with the glasses they would fix them right there and when you left the store, you had glasses. Now, they really have nothing unique to offer the marketplace. I am so incredibly disappointed in my experience, that I will not be returning to LensCrafters. read more

I don't leave many reviews but I have to for this experience. I brought my own new frames in to get new lenses. They do craft lenses, right?! I order my lenses. Weeks pass and I don't hear from them. I call them. They want me to come back in. They can't make the lenses. At least they aren't sure if them can. They try again. Can't make them. Hours and hours of my time. Then I get my NEW frames back. The NEW carrying case is cut! At this point I just want to be DONE with them. I don't use the carrying cases anyway. But they did ruin it. Another week passes by. I go to use my HSA card at another company that will make the lenses. No money on it! I call lens crafters again; I was right there when they supposedly refunded my money. I have the receipt. "Oh ya, we've been meaning to call you about that" ... they say ... after a week! Now I have to wait for days to get my refund so that I can order my new lenses elsewhere. This has been the worst experience and waste of my time! NEVER AGAIN. read more

What incredibly bad service! I called to check on frames and was put on hold for 10 minutes and finally hung up. I called back later and was asked my name three times, called "Hun" and "man" and then put on hold again. When I called back a third time, I asked for the employee's name and she refused to give it to me, set the phone on the counter and refused to pick it up. If you are looking for overpriced glasses and crappy service, this is your place. I wish I could give them zero stars, or negative stars, as offering one star grossly overstates the experience you will have at this location. I am now an extremely satisfied Zenni Optical fan. You can buy online from Zenni and save 80% without dealing with exceptionally rude, unprofessional LensCrafters personnel. I sure liked going to Dr. Pack whose office is in this location. I will now have to find a new doctor as I will never enter that store again. If you value reviews, this is fair warning to NOT patronize this LensCrafters location. I am sure corporate LensCrafters could care less about my customer experience and I would be surprised if they responded. read more

This has been the go-to location for me for 2 years now. Thi s year everything seems to have gone wrong. A simple order but with Blue Blocker in it. Apparently the Executives at Lens Crafters decided ALL orders need to go all the way to Dallas. Ok. I get cost-saving measures but this is a bit much. 2 week waiting time... ok. It has been 2 1/2 weeks now and I'm told I will be waiting another 3 days. Well, I hope they saved a lot of money because they have lost mine going forward. read more

After going to LensCrafters for years with quality problem on their best thousand $ Plus glasses over and over again, I am done!!! They don't back their poor quality anti- reflective lens at all. Less then a year old and only worn at night and on the weekends, my glasses are scratched and cloudy despite using their special cleaner and cases. NO STARS TO GIVE - DON'T GO HERE - AVOID AT ALL COSTS I've been a loyal customer of LensCrafters for more than 10 years. Four members of my family wear glasses. We have purchased more than a dozen pair from the Avenue at East Cobb location. During the last year, LensCrafters has changed their business model. Gone are the labs in each location. Gone are the knowledgable, courteous & helpful technicians. Gone is the dedication to customer service. They are just there to take your money & run. When I ordered my glasses (and paid in full) I was told they would take 2 weeks to arrive. I have been waiting on on them for 2 MONTHS. I was called today to tell me they had finally arrived. When I asked to speak with a manager about the delay, I was told by the person calling me that it wasn't her job to address my concerns, just to call me to tell me the glasses had arrived. I am assuming her defensive attitude results from talking to customers all day that are extremely dissatisfied. Stay away & keep yourself from joining the rest of us. read more

I went to the Lens Crafters in East Cobb- Marietta Georgia and the experience has been terrible. The associates were terribly rude and clueless. On our second visit in - the staff was very rude and one associate was eating dinner at the desk while we were waiting. We ordered glasses and asked that they be shipped to another Lens Crafters out of state and we would pick them up there (kid in college). We were told it would be no problem- when we called to inquire if they were ready- they first told us they were picked up from that store- so we were on calls all afternoon trying to track down the 350.00 glasses- then they told us it was a system error and that they were in route to the other store. When we called the following day they were to be delivered- the East Cobb store said they did not have the address to the other store and would we please call back with the manager name and address??? This has been a total nightmare- I will never do business with Lens Crafters again and we will be returning the glasses- provided they find them! The East Cobb store needs a total overhaul or they'll be out of business. read more

Okay to buy frames only, though you can likely get a better price online. The Rx the optometrist came up with is an utter joke and bears NO resemblance to anything I wear, have worn or that my eyes would need in the future. Epic Fail in that department. Don't get your lenses there either...tv news shows have done features on "are your glasses what they are supposed to be?" EVERY Lenscrafters in Atlanta failed big time. read more
